We really enjoyed our stay here. Location is great and it’s very comfortable. We were grateful for the A/C. very close to the Sheraton. We ate there a couple of times and used some of their amenities too, including the luau.

We loved the resort location and gardens. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to feel at home and prepare meals from local farmers markets. Kim with management company is great to work with and responded within 2 hrs to all inquiries. The beds and pillows are very comfy. I will definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Kauai.

The location is wonderful; the unit nice and thoughtfully organized. 4 women=lots of clothing! There were more hangers than we needed (which most owners wouldn't think of); beach chairs/fins, boogieboards (even though we went to 2 beaches to boogieboard but couldn't find anywhere to catch a wave). The design of the 2 bedroom units in this complex: 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms DOWNSTAIRS and kitchen, living and deck UPSTAIRS. We estimated each of us climbed stairs at least 10 times/day (fine for us except a bit much for our 92-year old Mom. She was a trooper and did very well, but she's a young 92 year old). If anyone has trouble with steps I would get a 1 bedroom unit on the ground floor. Suggestion: have someone go into the unit first and unlock the downstairs patio slider and then bring your luggage in downstairs instead of getting luggage up outside stairs and then down to the ground floor. It just makes more sense to bring your luggage in and out on the ground floor. Owner was very communicative, thoughtful and welcoming. Onsite maintenance fixed a couple of things that prior guests didn't report (broken garbage disposal; prior guests left food in the disposal. Fixed within 30 minutes of reporting). Air conditioner a MUST; unit has 3! You definitely need a car on the island. We went to many restaurants (our fav Keoki's Paradise across the street and the Beach House). Disappointingly, music is not something you will find every night. Rum Safari Tour=GREAT. Have fun!

Our first time on Kauai and won’t be our last. We loved this condo. It was walkable to the beach (driveable too if you have a hard time getting around, you can drive and park in the complex and pretty much be beachside), the gym/pool, coffee and restaurants. The complex is absolutely stunning, such pretty landscaping. Condo has great A/C all bedrooms and living area and was huge by Hawaii standards, two lanais, 2nd bedroom has a full and twin which my kids liked, shower was nice with great water pressure and hot water. 4 adults had plenty of room. Beach gear is available, kitchen has all the glasses, dishes and cooking implements you need. The only thing I would recommend is bringing your own spices/oils for cooking as non of that is provided and is expensive to buy at the local store. Also no plastic wrap, zip locks or foil either. It won’t keep me from coming back to this beautiful condo, just a suggestion for the next guest.

This property was fantastic! Perfect for 4 adults.
Pros: clean, spacious, and a perfect location! The beach is just a 3-4 minute walk where you can find monk seals and turtles sunbathing in the mornings. The beach is Sandy and perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and boogie boarding. Short walk to the gym, pool, and shopping center. The condo was stocked with everything we needed, including beach gear. Kitchen was updated and stocked with cookware and dishes. Lanai didn’t have an ocean view, but was peaceful and covered so we could enjoy the rainy mornings outside.
Cons: some of the areas are a little dated and could use an update.
Overall this is a GREAT place for a Kauai vacation! We wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

The condo was fine. But it needs deeper cleaning. The grout in shower stall in small bedroom was gross. . . Mostly the accent tiles. The window ledge was very dirty in the small bathroom. Plus A little touch up paint on it would be a big improvement. The tops of the base was very dirty also all corners on the floor. The counter tops, refrigerator, sink and the floors (not corners)were fine.

We had a nice stay. Condo is older and needs some TLC. Lighting in the bedrooms is terrible. Beds are hard. Twins need to be updated to XL Twins because adults cannot sleep in them. Sheets in master room were scratchy and really old and super worn out on the twins. You can see thru them in areas. We just sleep on the top sheet to make up for that. Furniture upstairs is just upgraded patio furniture. Kitchen could be better stocked. Beach shack amenities was a plus and towels at the pool. Lots of stairs, but we knew that! We used the a/c and ceiling fans. Overall It's an ok property to stay at.

The condo was excellent. You can walk across the street to stores, restaurants and shopping. Another fantastic shopping center is just down the street. Beach was excellent, great amenities with towels and beach chairs provided. The owner was very helpful and communicative. We had a small issue with the TV and the maintenance guys were there in a flash.

This was the perfect condo for our 10 day stay in Kauai. Our party was two middle aged couples.
The condo is exactly as listed. I only had one question for Kim during our stay and she was very responsive. The condo’s proximity in Poipu Beach meant we could just walk down to the beach for snorkeling and body surfing as well as seeing the sea turtles and seals who like to hang out on the beach there. We stayed so busy we didn’t make it to the athletic club to check out the pool until our last day. I wish we’d gone sooner - the pool, restaurant, and facilities there are lovely!
Poipu is only 25 minutes from the airport, Costco, Walmart, Safeway, and Target all located in Lihue. We made the most of our time and saw most of the island. The condo was a very convenient home base.

This is our second time staying in this rental and we were pleased with our experience once again. The condo size is perfect for a family and well stocked with everything you need for kids - booster, pack n play, gates, etc. The location is perfect, quick walk to the beach and lots of shopping and restaurants. And communication with the owner was great. The only downside this time was that the restaurant at the Kiahuna Plantation is, sadly, closed which made getting a quick bite to eat more difficult. Otherwise, we were very happy and are looking forward to returning!

Our family of four stayed in this unit for a week and we had a great vacation! The condo was plenty spacious for us and very well equipped. We had everything we needed to make meals at home.
Our flight to Hawaii was delayed, costing us a day of our trip. However, Kim was great and worked with us to add another night to our stay. We appreciated how responsive she was as we were working to adjust our plans!

Kim is a great host - very quick to respond whenever I had questions before or during our stay. Would definitely stay here again! Oh, and the A/C was a great feature - we were so glad we had it.

Wonderful property, end unit (which is great for noise control)- had all the amenities you'd need during the stay (including HVAC!!!). Central location- walk to pool and beach! Owner is very responsive with any questions and the resort too! Beds are comfortable outside lanai is a great place to sit and read with a bit of a breeze! We can't wait for our next trip!

We had a wonderful 4 days at this condo. It is large and spacious with plenty of natural light in the upstairs portion. Kitchen is well stocked. We enjoyed the Poipu Athletic Club pool and fitness facility but wish it were on the Kiahuna Plantation property, as opposed to across the street. The twin beds in the second bedroom are a little too firm - not comfortable for an adult. Master bedroom was great. We would highly recommend having 4 beach chairs and one umbrella available in the condo for guests. That is something everyone coming to a beach property would enjoy. Ask the property management to account for them whenever someone checks out and if they are not returned to your unit, management should take note and charge the guest for the item taken (don't just say it may not be there). We did enjoy the unit, great location and quiet, and would recommend it to others.

We had two weeks staying in this really excellent property. It is very well furnished and very comfortable.
The very short walk to the beach is easy and only talks a minute or two.
We would stay here again without hesitation. The only query we have is that the check in staff were not very welcoming and neglected to fully advise us of various charges for towel, and linen changes etc. We expected the final cleaning charge as this was part of the information given in the communications with the owner, but the additional charges as mentioned above basically doubled the amount when we checked out. It would have been nice to know in advance.
The beach at Poipu is superb. The water is crystal clean and so good to swim in. There many options for walking either way along the coastline and the choice of the restaurants at the resort, and nearby in the other resorts, or at the shopping village just across the road or within a short drive means there is no lack of choices.
Kauai is a beautiful Island, easy to explore by car, and the distances to travel are easy. Well worth the effort.
Overall Kauai is now our favourite Island in Hawaii, and Poipu Beach our choice of location to be based, and this condo is a wonderfull "home" base for any visit to the Island of Kauai.

For our family of 4, this is probably our sixth time staying in this exact condo! We absolutely love the location, the decor, the kitchen, everything! Kiahuna offers pretty much everything you could want in a Hawaii vacation. There is the beautiful beach, and sprawling lawns for plenty of outdoor activities, fabulous snorkeling at PK's just down the road, great shopping and restaurants at the Kukui'ula Shops, and for the first time this year, the Poipu Beach Athletic Club has put in a FABULOUS gym, with a weight section, a cardio section and a yoga room where they offer classes several times a week. Both my husband and I were delighted that we could get our workouts in while the kids enjoyed the pool, waterslide, and snacks at Hapas poolside. I truly don't think you can beat this location for a true vacation getaway. This condo makes the perfect home base and gives you easy access to all the Hawaiian amenities you could want.
I should add that if you like to cook at home as we often do, this condo, has a pristine grill set up just below the downstairs exit from the condo. We utilized it almost every evening for our dinners! We will be back again for sure!

We were wowed by the Garlands condo from the moment we walked in. The unit offered two spacious levels with the large living room and very nicely sized kitchen on the upper level and two bedrooms with two full bathrooms at the lover level. The condo was very nicely furnished. The upper level balcony offered very nice view and although you could not see the ocean from there, the beach was just a short walk away.
The beach was postcard worthy with beautiful views to the right and left. Even though it is shared with Sheraton, it felt private and never got crowded. It had a very clean yellow sand and offered a grass area for those who are not crazy about laying in the sand. Although the waves were not too good for buggy boarding, they are perfect for those first time surfing lessens. There are some rocks a short distance from the beach that offer a limited view of local fish, so grab your snorkeling gear.
Being next door to Sheraton had an advantage of having an option of a Luau that's within walking distance from the Kiahuna Plantation. If you decide to participate (book through the concierge), you can just walk across the beach without worrying about driving or finding parking.
Poipu is a very nice and quiet part of the island with several good restaurants and shops near by. The only "shocker" was that most of the places close at 10 pm (some at 9:00 pm). We came in very late from the airport and could not get anything to eat until next morning. If you are arriving late then have something to eat in Lihue before you head out to Poipu.
Overall, the Kiahuna Plantation and the Garlands condo are a great place to spend your Kauai vacation. The Garlands made the whole booking process very easy and kept us informed all the way. The very friendly concierges (at the main check in area and at the beach shack) will help you book any activities you want. Spots fill out quick, though, so take care of any bookings early. Also, Kauai is more of a nature island, so you probably won't find anything like jet skiing or parasailing like you would on Maui or Oahu.
I definitely recommend the Garlands and their condo.
P.S. If you rent a car, take a trip to the north end of the Hwy 550 from Waimea. What you'll see at the top cannot be described with words...

We (2 couples) loved our stay in this clean, well-equipped, excellently located condo. Things we loved: the short walk to a gorgeous beach, use of the open-air gym and pool across the street (where you can order food/ drinks), great air flow through the condo, beautiful grounds with jaw-dropping trees and flowers. We cooked 2 out of 3 meals/ day and the kitchen was more than up to the task. We did it all: Waimea Canyon, a serious adventure to Makaleha Falls (4 hour hike to do just over 4 miles #where'sthetrail?), bouncy raft trip up the Na Pali coast, farmer's market, coffee plantation tour, lying in the sun, lots of lazing and relaxing. We'd definitely come back. As far as food goes: stock up on organics at Safeway --the Living Foods market (closer) is ridiculously expensive. We enjoyed our dinner at the pizza place in Koloa and at Keoki's Paradise across the street.
My friends who were in the twin beds pushed together suggested that the owners get a topper to make the bed softer, which they said they'd planned to do, so hopefully that won't be an issue when you stay in this lovely place.

Our family of 3 adults and 3 kids spent a week here. It is a wonderful location. Short walking distance to the beach, little shopping center and the pool. Short drive to a life guarded beach, bigger shopping center and Outfitters Kauai (we recommend the zip lining ages 7-74 had a blast). The front desk is very helpful and we learned a lot from the concierge and the island orientation on our first morning. I recommend attending; great info and tips. We would have missed the Wednesday night farmers market in Koloa if we hadn't talked to Gayle right away. Found everything we needed in the kitchen. We would definitely stay here again.

Spent a relaxing and enjoyable week in this well maintained and well equipped, wonderful condo. Owners were very accommodating and provided great recommendations for activities and dining as well as "local knowledge". Kiahuna Plantation Resort is a large complex and I suspect not all units are nearly as well cared for as this lovely unit. Resort services staff, particularly housekeeping, were friendly and and very responsive to our every need. This property's location is only a short walk to the beautiful, sandy beach and to nearby shopping and dining, plus there is ample free parking very close by. I highly recommend this Poipu Beach condo.

The location of this two bedroom condo is superb. A 4 minute walk to the ocean, across the street from an excellent shopping center, half a mile from another, short drive to Koloa, and only 25 minutes to the airport at Lihue. The condo is well equipped, the living space large and comfortable; bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely. Poipu is a beach lover's dream, with many beaches close by. We hiked, snorkeled, took a helicopter ride, ate fabulous fresh fish, and did some sightseeing. The local people we met were lovely. Kim, the owner was unbelievably kind, helpful and full of information. She really extended herself. I would not hesitate to return.
