BEACHES & CRITTERS: The beach size in Hawaii varies month to month due to heavy surf, strong currents and tides. Due to Maui’s rural atmosphere you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don’t kill them.

IMPORTANT: Although the HOA schedules regular professional pest control services, pests such as ants, roaches and rodents simply cannot be completely controlled in the tropics. Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents and lizards flourish in this environment. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.

We love to stay at Wailea Ekahi and this one-bedroom unit has been the best of the bunch so far. The ground level makes it easy to access the walk down to the pool and beach. The unit itself is styled as shown with a Hawaiian vibe that we loved. Can't wait to visit again!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. This visit was our fourth time at Wailea Ekahi, and this unit is our favorite. Easy walk to the beach and main pool, and a comfortable, spacious unit with a well-equipped and updated kitchen. Can’t wait to visit again!

We had an excellent time and the view and room pictures were as shown on line. The only tweaks to the condo needs is to have better water pressure in the showers and the cable tv should have instructions to make it easier to use.

This is a great complex and a very comfortable unit. It’s well furnished and appointed. The unit itself was a little rundown and needed a little maintenance and cleaning to get top marks from us.

Fave parts: walking to beach. Overall property. Nice kitchen and main space. Unit has nice decor but needs upgraded patio furniture and bathrooms. It’s also super bare bones with not even salt and pepper or plastic wrap. So just be prepared.

Had a wonderful stay in unit 34-A. Very clean and comfortable. View from lanai was better than expected! It was gorgeous! Definitely would stay here again. We used the pool closest to the beach, The walk to the beach and pool is easy going down but going up that hill is work, so we just drove down to the beach parking lot and used the property gate there. There is also no property lighting at night on the green belt, So driving down was a better option. The property rooster was not annoying as others have said. He was a welcomed addition to all of the other sounds of nature on this beautiful property! Thank you for such a wonderful stay in your unit! Property management company was also amazing!

The location of this condo was close to the main pool and smaller pool too. The patio was great to eat dinner and watch the sunset while also viewing Molokini. The condo had pretty much everything we needed. A few updates need to be done but nothing to keep from staying here. The safe was out of order so we didn’t have anywhere to store our jewelry and important stuff while at the beach or pool, that was a bummer. The shared gas BBQ’s are now located in the open areas of grass but we’re convenient and nice. We would definitely go back!

Great location, view, grounds, and super nice pool pavilion. The unit itself was very dated and in need of a good clearing, paint, new (or better cleaned carpet). Washer/dryer were not working, which we did not know until we were there.

Loved everything about this property. Great proximity to two pools and the beach which was semi private. Sea turtles galore at the beach as well. Great location as we were close to high end shopping as well as within 5-10min of all the little shops in Kehei as well. My only very big complaint is the two roosters that seem to live on the property. They crow every ten seconds from 5:30am until 7am. Does not make for a relaxing sleep-in on vacation environment. The property is nice enough that they should control the rooster/chicken issue that Maui seems to have. But I guess if you dont sleep in, then you are fine. But me personally, I now hate roosters. They have plenty of beach equipment that we added to to help other families with their beach needs. Thanks for a great stay!

Nicely equipped condo with recent reno and very nice decor. Opens on to the main green belt with a nice view. Three or four minute walk to the beach pavilion. We have stayed at a number of ekahi units over the years and this one rates right up there. A few minor points: Some units also keep a stash of boogie boards and other beach paraphernalia and it would have been nice if this unit had that as well as a wagon to get everything down to the beach. The chef knives could also use sharpening. Finally, the entire Wailea area has basically banned individual BBQ units and the condo association has not set up any permanent or temporary solution despite the ban having been in place for several months. The only option is to drag all of your food, utensils, etc either to the very top of the complex or all the way down to the beach pavilion, either way is quite a hike especially without a wagon. Nothing the owner can do about it except to pressure the HOA to stop dragging it's heels but it did take away one of our favorite parts of our typical Maui vacation. Regardless, still highly recommend this unit. Mahalo

We have stayed in many Wailea Ekahi condos and this one is a gem! Ground floor, which is nice to be able to walk right out the sliding door to the greenbelt where you can see the ocean, watch the sunset, etc. Unit is clean, well stocked, we will definitely rent again!

EV unit 34A is nicely located with a view down the greenbelt to the ocean. The 1bd/2ba unit was nicely appointed with quality furnishings, Netflix and Amazon Prime streaming services, and motion sensitive night lighting. The Ekahi Village however has a new manager that is extreme in the enforcing of quite unnecessary and intrusive rules for the pools. Even with no one else in the pool they will not allow anyone to use a mask/snorkel in their pool. We have stayed in this complex about 10 times over the last 15 years and have always enjoyed our relationship with staff and grounds keepers. But this experience with the new manager has led us decide in the future to look for other places to stay in Maui.

Imaging waking up in the morning and having morning coffee with a perfect view of Molokini and Kahoolave Islands from your shaded terrace. That’s 34A. Clean, updated furniture, nicely equipped kitchen. Check-in seamless. I would stay here again any time.
