Beautiful property just as advertised. AC in all rooms made the condo very comfortable. Great views and just a perfect place to get away. Minor issue with nats or very small bugs. Just annoying more than a pain. They didn’t get into food nor did they bite. They didn’t scare us away or even bad enough to complain. We’d go back in heart beat.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. What kept me from giving it a five is due to the fact the Second bedroom was very warm. They did have a floor fan (but it really didn’t help) and the ceiling fans barely worked-would have been helpful. I did notify the property manager and was told that someone would be coming to look at it, but no one ever came.
The outdoor patio-could definitely use different furniture, as it just really doesn’t accommodate the amount of chairs that are out there. Also there is no “beach” - you can walk down 5-7 mins and be at a beach. Overall we did have a good time, and will come back to Maui🌺

We rented this property for a 4 generation family trip & it was perfect! The home was set up perfectly with everything needed, comfortable, clean & tastefully decorated! The location & grounds feel safe & well maintained. The views from the living area couldn’t be beat! We cooked great dinners & enjoyed our cocktails on the patio at sunset. The property grounds were beautifully lush & well maintained. The pool area & yard games & putting green available we’re also a hit with our group! Such a great touch & fun way to spend time together. Mornings were well spent drinking coffee on the patio & taking in the views.The property is a very close drive to great shops, dining & beaches as well as grocery stores. An couple awesome coffee shops within walking distance made for a great morning start as well as ABC store for snacks & basic necessities. We truly can’t say enough great things about the property. From the friendly & helpful staff on grounds to the beautiful & comfortable home, we loved everything about this stay!

Resort/location-great! Grds, pools, tennis cts, beautiful. Able to walk in ocean; even snorkel. Resort next door has nice bar on water w/ good food/drink. Close to a lot! Loved Lahaina. Unit itself disappointing except appliances nice/new. Most issues easily fixed; surprised they're not for price. Only 1 bath towel pp,1 hand towel & wash cloth per bathroom. Not even 1 beach towel per person. Yes, washer/dryer, but who wants to do laundry on vaca? 3rd bdr is loft/not private like bedroom needs to be. While pictured, louder than anticipated. Was noted in prev review twin beds cld be pushed together-not the case-dresser there now. No A/C in 2nd bdr; fans didn't cool enough; stuffy/hot & NOT hot outside. Master TV didn't work. Only lites in master were in bathroom. 2 bedside lites burnt out-no overhead lite. Floors very dirty. Sign said remove shoes before entering, which we did but had to wash our feet before going to bed or putting shoes back on to go outside. Furniture was old & dirty. Needs small investment in furniture, towels, lites, tv's, cleaning, glasses; things expected in high end unit. Patio NOT as pictured-NOT able to enjoy. Table big enough for 6 but patio was not. 3 chairs at table & 4 more pushed off to side; making 2 of 3 chairs at table unusable. 3 bar stools inside meant we couldn't eat together:( Again for price, expected better basics. Not even decent glasses, cups; all mismatched. Many amenities were 'old cabin in woods' not 'high end Maui'.

I have done lots of vacations and unfortunately I felt like this one came up short. Not all because of the property though. The property was nice but not worth the money that you have to pay. I was surprised when we checked out that we had an additional bill for maintenance that I thought we had already paid. I was ready to go home and we needed to leave that I just left and didn't fight it. The property isn't bad but it's not really meant for families.
The view was great but there was no beach because the storm that came in so obviously there is normally not much beach front. We didn't even use the pool because it was so small that we ended up going to another resort and doing day passes.
If you want to watch any TV in this unit it's like watching your computer screen and there are no instructions for the 3 remotes. I tried to get info and I got a text that was not helpful at all.

We were part of a family group that rented 3 units on this property. Our unit was clean and well-supplied. The option of 2 pools was great as were the grills that were available for use. We saw many employees caring for the grounds throughout our stay. Location was good. The only issue we had was checking in. I had called ahead to make sure my daughter could check in first as they arrived before we did. I was assured that it would not be a problem and said it was not necessary to even take her name as she would just need our name to check in. Well, I was given bad information as the property would not allow her to check in because her name was not on the reservation. Her family had to wait over an hour until we arrived to get in the condo.

Six adult family members stayed at the Papakea Resort sept 23 to sept 30 in a 3 BR, 3 bath condo. The condo kitchen was extremely well stocked except for a kettle which was asked for and received. The condo photos were exactly as pictured except the lanai. The photo of the lanai was deceiving as it looked much bigger than it actually was due to the set up and angle it was taken from and had different furniture on it which the six of us could not sit around. The table was too big for the lanai and there was a wooden frame in the corner that took up space and the AC unit dripped water right in front of that. On arrival a sign asks to removed your shoes. We did and all of us had filthy feet by bedtime and had to wash our feet. I advised property mgr and someone was sent in to clean the floors. Otherwise, it was absolutely perfect. The view of the pool and ocean from the lanai was amazing but you couldn’t sit out there while the sun was going down as it was too hot. Amazing sunsets though. Six BBQs around the pool for use which was awesome. I did ask if there was AC in all bedrooms and if all were working and was told there was. There is no AC in the back bedroom so we set up two fans to pull AC from living room and move the cool air to the back bedroom and my sister said that worked but they couldn’t close their door for privacy. Upper loft had AC, it’s own bathroom and two twin beds. We had to rearrange furniture up there a little to accommodate the two people sleeping up there so they had more space. Note that there is a $17 a day surcharge at Papakea. Also note that there are no shade umbrellas at the pools but some palm trees offer shade but more is needed. Other guests kept taking chairs and loungers from the pool area which is not supposed to be allowed and there was very little furniture left at the pool by weeks end. Condo is within walking distance for groceries, some little shops and a few restaurants which was awesome. Lahaina is a short drive away and has lovely shops, restaurants and views of the ocean plus activities to book. Many beaches in the area and snorkelling right off the beach at some. We all thoroughly enjoyed our week in Maui and would return.

It comfortably slept 5. The kitchen was well stocked and you have a nice ocean view. The unit is nice appointed and the grounds are amazing. Super close to everything and there is a food truck court and convenience store within walking distance. I will definitely rent again.

The parking was bad the 1st couple days because of tree trimming. The night we arrived we had to park across the street at a business because there was no parking available. The washer had a moldy/musty smell. Also had mold on the gasket so we didn't use it. The rest of the condo was great!

Our group of four found this to be a perfect place to stay! The views were amazing and everything was perfectly comfortable. Not sure if it is usual for the location but it was very windy each day which made for some rougher water. Overall we were thrilled with our stay.

We had a trip of all school friends. 6 of us stayed in the condo and it was great. If you like the beach this property didn't really have one. It was beautiful but more for laying on the grass or by the pool. To get to the beach was a walk or drive. We did not mind though.

The property manager did tell us about six weeks before our trip that the AC system is not functioning, but we were disappointed that they were not able to find the parts to get it functioning prior to our trip. We were offered a smaller unit with less bedrooms but that would not have worked for us. Do not visit this area without a functioning AC system because it can be pretty warm during the days.

Great location with beach views. Nicely remodeled kitchen with everything you could possibly need. 3 bathrooms is a huge plus. The property is clean and well kept. I watched the outdoor staff each day clean the BBQs, the pools, hot tub, etc. The property management company was very responsive and helpful. Lots of fans in the house. Good breezes. Good outdoor patio furniture to enjoy meals and whale watching right from the deck.

We were a group of five 30-somethings and found this condo to be comfortable and beautiful and met most of our needs. Well stocked kitchen for all cooking needs. The living room and lanai were a little small for fitting our group but we were able to make it work. The couple in the second bedroom mentioned lack of air conditioning and were a little warm. Additionally, the chairs provided included only 3 beach chairs for fully grown people - the other three are 2 childrens chairs and one camping chair. None of these were dealbreakers for us but also weren't what we expected and we were lucky one in our group was very petite and another didn't mind being on the beach in a camp chair.

We had a great 6 day stay at Papakea. The unit is a bit outdated and the upstairs bathroom could use some work (fan doesn't work and shower extremely small), but overall it was great for our group of 6. The area is fairly quiet and we enjoyed the beautiful sunsets, having coffee on the lanai, walking along the beach, and playing shuffleboard.

Hello. We recently stayed in one of your properties and we had several issues with our unit. Firstly, I would like to be clear we are reasonable people but when someone pays over well six thousand dollars for a stay-the type of issues we had and the slow/no response to them was unacceptable. I would expect a large amount of our money to be returned to us.
Day one, upon arrival we used the upstairs loft bathroom one time and it was immediately clogged. We contacted the resort on site and they referred us to Maui Paradise Properties for assistance-We left a voicemail and text messages. Much later we heard from the property manager and his solution was for my husband to locate a plunger and fix it himself. Ridiculous, it took over a half hour of plunging and adding water to that toilet tank just for my husband to clear the waste. We should not have had to do that ourselves. My husband informed manager the toilet was broken-the tank was not filling with water and it needed to be looked at by a plummer to fix.(so the people in loft were without a bathroom). 2 days later-someone came by looked at the toilet while we were out. We assumed the issue was fixed as no note or instructions were left verbally or in email or text. The people staying in the loft used the toilet one time again and it did not flush-it also would not plunged-so we contacted them again. No real response again for days-an now the entire unit is now smelling of urine even with door closed. So, the upstairs bathroom completely out of order again-as opening the door made the urine smell worse for everyone. Finally, someone came to clear it and we were told the bathroom was out of order. We booked this unit to have 3 working bedrooms and bathrooms-we had been minus one since day one. The downstairs bedroom was an absloutle hot box. We had three fans going on in there every day and it was still like a sauna. Another day my son went in that room he shut the door to change (did not lock it) and he was completley locked in-due to the type of handle/lock system. We could find no help to get him out. We were very close to having to call 911 until finally your property guy called us back gave the go ahead for my husband to try and remove door to get our son out. It was long and very difficult to get the door off and get my son out of being trapped in the god awful hot room. Your company did not respond. I left the property company our experience on 7/23/21 and no response yet. Really horrible

We’ve stayed at multiple condos at Papakea as we love the location and the quietness of this resort. This condo was completely renovated with updated bedrooms and bathrooms and a gourmet kitchen. We appreciated the quick response of the property management team with any minor issues we had. We had 6 adults and 2 toddlers and we enjoyed all that tge condo and resort had to offer! Can’t wait to go back!

Condo is nice and updated in a good location. Resort itself is outdated but very clean and well kept. The unit could use a deep clean and the only suggestion would be to add an AC unit to the back bedroom ..it’s boiling in there and the fan doesn’t do the trick.

We appointed rental and clean. Biggest highlight was the west facing direction for sunsets and location. Biggest drawback was that there was not a conventional oven for broiling fish. My favorite cooking method for Ono. Such an amazing kitchen but the oven and stove top were less than to be desired. Would have been nice if there was more than one roll of paper towels for a 9 day stay and the Kleenex was half empty to start out so we had to buy more of both. Overall enjoyed.

This condo was perfect for our family. Everyone had their own space but also great place to hang out. The condo also had all the kitchen supplies we needed and more. There were games in the closet. Also boogie boards and beach chairs that were also a surprise and greatly appreciated. The view was amazing. The location was perfect, just a short walk to a beach store, shopping, and a farmers market!! It was perfect and we will definitely be back!
