There were two families staying here. My wife and I. Also, business partner and his family. The kitchen had everything we needed- we like to cook. Everything was well appointed and in excelled condition. We had several minor issues and they were dealt with promptly. We'd happily stay here again.

The property was everything that we could have asked for. The location was perfect and the views were amazing. My wife and I chose the property for us, our two small children, and her parents. It was the perfect size and kid friendly. The pool amenities were great for the kids and adults. I only gave 4 stars on cleanliness because one of the beds had long black hair in the sheets and a wad of hair was on the shower wall when we checked in. Other than that the property was very clean and had everything we needed during our stay.

The location of this property is amazing. Front and center on the beach and 5 min walk to shops and resturants. The two main downfalls of this property, the master bedroom is in the back of the condo with a tennis court view while the guest room is oceanfront. Terrible layout and it should state this in the description. Also, property needs a facelift. The furniture is old, the paint is chipped and decor is dated. Although we didn’t spend much time in the condo, for the cost I believe it should’ve been up to date. All in all, we would stay at the resort again but choose a different condo.

Visited Maui over Christmas and stayed in this condo for 8 nights with my husband and 3 kids (ages 21, 19 and 16). Kaanapali Alii is on a nice stretch of Kaanapali beach and is within easy walking distance of Whaler's Village. My kids and I also walked all the way to Black Rock (about 15 minutes away). The pool area is nice and there were plenty of lounge chairs, even at later times of day (unlike many resorts where you have to get up early to reserve a chair!). They have beach towels available, as well as multiple gas grills for use. They also have small beach chairs you can use (not lounge chairs, just small single chairs).
The condo itself was well appointed and had all of the kitchen items that you would need for cooking. We had a welcome gift of snacks and a few trinkets (kitchen towel, ornament), which we really appreciated! Beds were very comfortable and linens were super soft. Bathrooms were nice and came with shampoo/conditioner/lotion. My son used the pullout sofa and thought it was pretty comfortable. The view from the balcony was exactly as pictured and I really enjoyed sitting out there to read.
Kaanapali is a good location on Maui, but you do need a rental car (true of basically any part of Maui though). We enjoyed going into Lahaina to eat and shop. Wailea is a bit higher-end (resorts such as Ritz and Fairmont are there) and we drove there one night for dinner -- it was an hour away, so once was enough.
Overall, I highly recommend this condo. I heard a woman at checkout talking about how dated some of the condos are, but this one did not feel dated at all. I'd return in a heartbeat!

The unit was very well finished and the best stocked condo we've ever seen (supplies, beach toys, cooking equipment, spices, etc.). As an end unit in the building, the views were fantastic. We loved the mountain views from the dining room in the morning, and the ocean views all day. Would definitely stay again.

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Kaanapali Alii! The condo is beautiful, very spacious, and well stocked with kitchen and bathroom amenities. The property is very clean and well manicured and the common areas (beach, pool, grill area) are great for families with children. Communication with the property manager was very easy and all of the staff was very friendly. The location is perfect - plenty of resort restaurants nearby, two very walkable Starbucks, lots of nearby beach activity kiosks, and a 5 minute walk from the shops and restaurants at Whalers Village. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay! The condo is very spacious and has incredible views of the ocean and the mountains. It was clean and very comfortable. Our group had plenty of places to hang out. The condo had some welcome goodies which was a great touch! The location is great as well, in walking distance to everything you need in Kaanapali. Another bonus was the free parking! We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at Kaanapali faith another couple for vacation and we’re pleased with the property from the moment we entered the unit. The views are amazing, every morning woke up to blue ski, birds chirping and waves lapping in the beach. The unit is well stocked with everything you may need in the kitchen (except for a tea kettle), including spices, cleaning supplies, and a beautiful welcome tray with coffee, macadamia nuts, wine and chocolates! The beds were very comfortable and the towels and linens quality grade, the unit was spotless as well. We enjoyed the pools, beach, bbq grills and loved being close to many restaurants and shops.
Overall this property was everything and more than we expected!

I spent a week here with my fiance, 19 year old son and his girlfriend. The condo was perfect for our group, and offered us all privacy when needed. It's very spacious and clean, and stocked with everything needed. We cooked many meals in the condo and took advantage of the BBQ's by the pool. There were beach chairs, soft sided cooler bags and swim noodles that made our snorkeling adventures very convenient. The condo itself was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The grounds are beautiful, the pools and hot tubs were very clean, and all staff encountered were friendly and helpful. I would recommend the Kaanapali Alii to anyone looking for suggestions to stay in Maui.

We had a wonderful stay at this property! It is beautifully situated on Ka’anapali beach, we were able to enjoy gorgeous sunsets from our lanai, and the pool area wasn’t very crowded - there were plenty of chairs and the staff was super helpful! If you’re looking for a bustling resort with restaurants and bars, this is not your place. But the unit was spacious, well appointed, the beds and linens were super comfy, great beach, close to Whalers Village, and we couldn’t have enjoyed it more!

Loved the stay, the Alii in general is the best property on all of Maui is your looking for location amd access. You car is close amd the beach right out the door is the best location on the best beach for family activities on the island. The wave break is perfect for surfing or boogie boarding which can be entertaining as often the locals show up to surf, skim board, boogie board ect. That in itself makes the beach fun to be on. You have great food and shopping close with Whalers village a quick walk down the beach. Black Rock for cliff jumping and snorkeling. Lahaina is 5 minutes by car and really adds to the trip.

It. Not overloaded with people and the people seem pretty chill. The beach/pool staff are great and I think one of the guys has been there for more than 20 years. Cool people. This unit in particular was great. Very nice and accommodating to our group of 6. Great view from the Lanai. The few simple things in the unit made a big difference. Beach chairs, food coolers, and beach umbrella are really nice to have. The unit was nice, decorated well and we’ll taken care of. Again, in my opinion you won’t find a better property In a better location on Maui if your staying in a hotel like setting. Feels small in a big hotel area. This will always be one of my favorite places on the planet to stay. Great family memories for us.

Faith and Candace went above and beyond our expectations; as we had trouble in the beginning with our travel. The condo was absolutely beautiful and spacious enough to provide the teenagers their own personal area. The additional lei greeting and snack basket was an added perk that we appreciated and enjoyed. The breathtaking view of the ocean was directly in front of our condo and we utilized the outdoor grills each night for dinner. All of this made the entire experience so amazing! We will be back!

Looked exactly as shown, the owner takes a lot of pride in the property. Stayed at the Alii almost every year for past decade and after a certified vrbo disaster always with the hotel service. However management change so we tried vrbo again. It was great, little things like q tips and spices make a big difference. Would for sure do again

Can't even begin to tell how amazing this place was. It was the best ever view, beautifully decorated and kitchen was fully stocked. Balcony was everything we'd hoped it would be. We loved our stay at the Kaanapalii Alii. The views from the lanai were great for whale watching and sunsets. The beach was wonderful and the the location was an easy walk to many restaurants and shopping. The walk into Lahaina was a bit long but we did it a couple of times. The concierge was really helpful in booking tours. Overall a fun experience.

Kaanapali is my favorite beach. I have stayed there many times. But this was the first time in a condo rather than a resort hotel. We will repeat. The Alii is central to Kaanapali. 456 was beautifully decorated and I could have cheerfully stayed much longer! Very nice kitchen if you want to cook. Nice pool and hot tub areas. Beautiful views from most rooms. We totally enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at the condo immensely. The concierge was very helpful and a nice surprise. The beach was quiet and we even saw whales just standing on the beach! We enjoyed the community bbq and ate all our meals on the lanai. There are several beautiful beaches within a couple minutes drive to visit.

Our family (parents and 3 adult children) stayed at the Alii #456 for a week in late January 2019. Both the condo and property were fantastic. The condo is very high-end - high quality furnishings and decorations with most everything in the kitchen that we have in our own home. The condo has a very large living area and a balcony with a great direct view of the pool area and beach. The staff at the Alii were very helpful with the few requests that we had while there. We highly recommend staying here.
