BEACHES & CRITTERS: The beach size in Hawaii varies month to month due to heavy surf, strong currents and tides. Due to Maui’s rural atmosphere you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don’t kill them.

IMPORTANT: Although the HOA schedules regular professional pest control services, pests such as ants, roaches and rodents simply cannot be completely controlled in the tropics. Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents and lizards flourish in this environment. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.

My wife and I, along with my grown daughter decided to go to Maui for some R&R. My wife and daughter have very stressful jobs so we were looking for a nice accommodation by the beach. This property fit the bill. It has a great beach right in front. We also travelled to other beaches that were easy to get to using local transit. The condo had all we needed as far as utensils and cooking needs. The only negative thing was that the Murphy beds were not put down as I had asked. The bed is also very uncomfortable. Many of the slats on the side to the ocean were broken. We worked it out. Other wise I would recommend this property to others wanting a good property to experience Maui.

What a great place to stay! The 4 of us loved staying here. The view from the balcony was great. Close access to the beach, and a fantastic coffee shop (Hawai‘ian Village Coffee) around the corner. The only thing missing was an ice cube tray in the freezer. We had to suffer with slightly warm cocktails the first night, haha. Also, the front desk is only open until 5pm, so if you get there after that, you will have to wait until the next day to get your parking pass. Not a big deal, but just good to know ahead of time!

As a family of 4, with 2 teenagers, this was a great place to use as our home base for our time in Maui. The Murphy beds were good and more comfortable than a pull out sofa. They were quite firm, but did the trick. I was disappointed to see that they were not made up, as per my booking request, as we arrived way past midnight from a very long day of travel. Like others said, the condo is a little dated but location and the beautiful sunsets made up for it! Beach is pristine and literally steps away. Unfortunately we didn’t have water for the last few days of our stay. This water outage impacted the entire facility. A hospitality room to shower off site would have been nice. Overall, a great location, beautiful sunsets and a well equipped condo to rest at night!

It had been prepped with new towels, bed made etc. But we pulled back the sheets and there were hairs, parts of fake eyelashes and other remnants… disgusting. And there was dirt and food all over the floors. Contacted host and they couldn’t come “reclean” til the next day. Also was hot and hard to sleep. Invest a few hundred bucks in a portable AC unit at least.

For the price, it really doesn’t get better than this! The condo was very similar to the photos. The bedroom feels a little outdated but did not bother us at all. The entire condo looked & smelled very clean when we arrived. There is no Air Conditioning but you will get a very nice cross breeze if you open the windows. The view absolutely can not be beat. Every day we sat on the balcony and drank our coffee while watching the sea turtles. One morning we saw a monk seal. The only reason we gave check-in a 4/5 is because we arrived at 6pm (check in can’t be before 4pm) and the front desk was already closed for the day. But we just went down in the morning instead and everything worked out just fine. We can’t wait to come back!!! BOOK IT!!

This unit is a little dated, however the view alone makes up for it. The carpet in the bedroom is old, so bring socks or slippers if that bothers you. The resort is very quiet and family friendly. The kitchen is functional, but not ultra fancy. If you require trendy and modern, perhaps this is not for you. If you want a beautiful view of Maui beaches and sunset, and like peace and quiet, this place is great!

The unit itself: comfortable, but needs updated. The unit has many minor needs that should be improved and corrected to reflect the pricing and the property quality. Great views and convenient location. The complex: Valley Isle recently remodeled is a nice overall property with excellent caretaking and a nice atmosphere. Pluses are pool facility (small, but nice), New convenient lobby with friendly service, Expansive parking, Herb garden and grilling area are above average. There is beach access, but the area is limited by erosion issues. Also, efficient elevator service and excellent hot water in unit. The location: Terrific sunset and whale watching viewing location. Convenient access to shops and local restaurants. The location is a plus, but can be noisy at times. Regular leaf blowing and landscape trimming is noticeable, along with routine dumpster noise due to the number of commercial entities in the area. Traffic isn’t particularly difficult to navigate.

1. Remove carpet on patio - moldy, gross 2. Carpet in bedroom is disgusting. I had to buy sandals to walk kn it. Gross. Has it ever been steam cleaned. 3. Weather - we had bad storms and water came in the sliding door when closed. Other properties reported the same. 4. Kitchen ventilation is horrible. No airflow. Fire alarms went off twice in complex (not ours) 5. Stingy supplies - worst VRBO we have ever been to on these: only 1 kitchen towel; only 1 roll of paper towels (do you really expect people to never cook?); no real cleaning supplies for those who are cooking. 6. Unclean furniture - we felt the need to use freshly washed sheets on the couch and chairs. 7. Linens - the bed sheets smelled so strongly of bleach that we had to wash them immediately. Possibly caused a rash. This could be a great property but it seriously requires attention.

There were many things that got our attention about this property while looking for the perfect stay during our honeymoon. We wanted to have a washer and dryer, which we weren’t able to use during the whole trip since the washer stinks. We cleaned it and did a cicle without any clothes trying to get rid of the smell but it didn’t work. The shower is broken and you have to manually touch the nasty bottom handle to make it work. We are supposed to be provided with wifi and it did not work during our stay. The view is beautiful and I think is the only thing that keep us happy and not completely frustrated while staying here. For the amount of money we paid I was expecting a better experience….

We absolutely loved our little home base with the beautiful lanai. I rented this for a mother-daughter trip and wanted to try and find a memorable (spectacular) view that was affordable. This unit had all the amenities we wanted (washer/dryer, kitchen). Check-in was a little rough because the instructions were not posted to my VRBO account and lost in an my emails. We arrived after 5pm but luckily, it wasn't too much hassle to track down the after-hours number and get a response back. The unit is not air conditioned and is a little dated. It wasn't really a problem for us. We used fans and the age was noticeable mostly in the bath/shower. We never did figure out how to watch TV but that may have been user error and I brought a laptop. The unit had beach chairs and beach towels to use, even a ninja blender, but offered very limited toiletries and supplies (2 rolls of toilet paper). The location was great and we loved the amazing snorkeling at both Kapalua and Napili Bay, five minutes north of the unit. Remember to shop at Whaler's general store at the shell station instead of the tiny grocer just across the street! It will save you a lot of money and have better selection. The view from this unit is great. Perfect ocean-front 9th floor view. The beach is just a few steps out the door and is fairly private.

We had a wonderful stay at this 'condo with a view'. When we ran into a small issue re shower, it was fixed rapidly and everyone was on top of the issue right away. Great service! Highly recommend this property and property management company.

This condo was not done justice by the photos posted. It is absolutely gorgeous and has a million dollar view. Condo had everything we needed including a cooler/ice packs and great Tommy bahama beach chairs. The beach is fairly eroded and small but it was not crowded at all so we enjoyed many days and sunsets on that beach. The complex was dead quiet other than our last night there where you could hear neighbors slamming there doors and arriving late in the night. The room can get a bit hot but if it’s just two of you, you can do what we did and pull out the Murphy beds in the living room and fall asleep to the waves and ocean breeze from the screen door. Overall amazing stay. This unit is for sale but I really hope it stays a rental unit as we would love to return. In terms of location you are about 10-15 minutes north of Kaanapali which has Safeway and Foodland. I would recommend going to foodland for groceries as it’s a bit cheaper and way less crowded. Poke is top knotch!

Amazing view, great location. The communication with property manager was poor. Sink was clogged and hair dryer didn’t work. Nobody responded to my requests. However, I did enjoy the apartment. The are more good things than bad things. Just a couple of details that need to be improved. The rest was amazing

Cockroaches. Maintenance did provide roach motels when I called. Of course, I had to set them up. This unit could use updating, especially the bathroom. At least they should replace the black with mold grout. It’s too bad because the view is awesome.

There was a cockroach infestation at the condo when we have arrived and next day the best property management could do is drop off some store bought ant traps that didn’t work. Otherwise, the view from the balcony was amazing. Oh and there’s no A/C in the condo and it’s not immediately obvious.
