Kuleana condo resort is right on the beach on Maui's pristine West Coast. With gorgeous panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the lovely offshore islands of Molokai and Lanai. Kuleana 321 is located on the third-floor and opens onto the lanai where you can enjoy the gentle trade winds and ocean views.

The Kuleana complex consists of 7 low rise buildings (no higher than 3 floors). Most locations in Maui require you to drive somewhere, but Kuleana has its own secret – a beautiful little cove situated within the gated grounds. Kuleana Resort has a wonderful BBQ area on the ocean’s edge that is lit by tiki torches while grilling and enjoying the sunset! It is walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops and the farmers market.

BEACHES & CRITTERS: The beach size in Hawaii varies month to month due to heavy surf, strong currents and tides. Due to Maui’s rural atmosphere you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don’t kill them.

IMPORTANT: Although the HOA schedules regular professional pest control services, pests such as ants, roaches and rodents simply cannot be completely controlled in the tropics. Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents and lizards flourish in this environment. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.

This property has beautiful Hawaiian vegetation, palm trees and lit tiki torches throughout. There are turtles on the beach. Our 1BR condo on the 3rd(top) floor is very well kept, with super cute furnishings and decor and a large lanai. And the ocean view is spectacular. The pool is clean and the perfect temperature as well. We would highly recommend this property.

This was a perfect little unit for our family vacation in Maui. The unit was exactly as listed. We loved having all our meals on the lanai and enjoying ocean views with our meals. The surrounding grounds were very well maintained and the community was very friendly and welcoming. Turtles were frequently on the beach or swimming nearby. Loved that the neighborhood was slightly away from the big resorts, but still close to many major activities when we wanted to get out. I would definitely book this unit again for a return trip.

Excellent view of the ocean! The surroundings were beautiful, palm trees, flowers, and swimming pool. The Condo Area is close to town. We were on the third floor so carried our luggage up and down. The Condo was smaller than I thought as I viewed the pictures of the place and it was probably due to the one wall in the main area was a mirror. It was just right for the two of us.

This condo was perfect and checked every box I had! We wanted a place that had amazing views but still had practical accommodations. This was my first time renting on this app and I’m pleased to say the room in these photos is exactly what you get! Fantastic sunsets every night, and the balcony overlooks the pool with a gorgeous view of the water! Very private on an upper floor, but still able to see guests having a fun time below. Unit was very clean, has plenty of mirrors. Bed was comfortable and was happy to have ceiling fans in living and bed rooms as well as an ac in the bedroom (I found not all condos have an ac, you’re gonna need it!!) Kitchen was well stocked with a microwave, stove, oven, pizza and baking pans, plates, variety of cups, coffee maker, toaster, ice blocks and ice trays. I appreciate that this place had a cooler and beach chairs to use. Nearest stores are only about a 5 minute drive away. The staff was super friendly to communicate with via text and app messages. Late checkout is not available but they were able to suggest alternative storage companies for our luggage, very very grateful for that tip. If we ever come back to Maui (fingers crossed!) we would absolutely stay here again. Mahalo!

I cannot express fully how much we enjoyed our time at this property and condo! The whole condo was decorated wonderfully, and had all the dishes and towels we needed. Bed is comfortable and the A/C unit in the bedroom was perfect (People said it was a loud A/C in other reviews but it sounds like any other window unit out there). And the VIEW oh my it was STUNNING (may have cried when I first saw it). We spent so much time on the private balcony eating and hanging out. You are so close to the water and get to see all of the beautiful landscaping. The grounds are meticulously cared for. There is a pool and a small private beach, which were never crowded and made for the perfect quiet get away. There are many sea turtles and fish that hang out by the rocks which made snorkeling so fun! (Keep a respectful distance from turtles though!) We will DEFINITELY come back. Other pluses: in unit laundry, tennis court, parking included, shower starter kit (travel size gel, shampoo, & conditioner), 4 garbage bags, 4 dishwasher pods, 3 laundry pods and one dryer sheet, close enough to some shopping if you need more supplies (5min drive) Suggestions: -New comforter is needed. It was definitely clean but there were some deep stains on the corners which made us nervous at first. -Beach chairs need replacement. They are just a bit old making one hard to open and the other has broken straps/pouches

On the west coast of West Maui, north of Lahaina, good access to shopping, entertainment, touring, water activities. Great visitors at the complex during our two week stay. Maui Paradise Properties who manage the unit for the owner did an outstanding job. Communicated with us very effectively and quick response time to any questions or problems.

The property definitely met my needs. The dryer was very nice to have. Kitchen was well stocked. The cooler was very nice to be able to use. The beach towels were actually just bath towels so I wish they hadn't been advertised as having beach towels b/c I would have brought my own. There are a lot of mirrors in the condo. I understand they make the very small condo look larger and are probably easy to clean, but its a little overboard. I think implementing a code lock on the door vs. the keys might be an easy upgrade and the air conditioner was super noisy but my noise cancelling headphones made that easy enough to deal with. Overall I loved Maui and the location of these condos and would stay here again.

A lovely property with phenomenal views of Lanai, Molokai, whales, sunsets, etc. An easy drive to major west Maui attractions and beaches, with several good local eateries and charming small beaches within walking distance. The complex is well maintained, and the unit had all the essentials. Communication with property management was swift and helpful.

Nice peaceful condo, only problems were very slow internet, made it really hard to do work and then of course the parking problem, the spaces are so small for a mini van we received 3 tickets

The location and property itself were nice, but this room is in desperate need of some tender loving care. The room was not clean…we found a dead roach and a live roach two separate days. There is a good amount of dirt/dust on everything but the floors and countertops (ie light fixtures, under every piece of furniture, top of washer, top of fridge, corners and edges of floor)…just seems like they do a quick clean job in between guests but who knows how long it has been since this place was actually cleaned (my guess is years). There was also a broken towel holder which you could tell has been broken for a long time. The good…there is a lot to do/see within walking distance. The grounds…pool…grills…small beach are all awesome. Parking was plentiful, and free. The grounds seemed to be meticulously cared for, just not this particular room. We even met the owner of the unit next door, and she said they came twice a year to deep clean. Someone needs to deep clean this place…in a bad way. Air conditioning was very loud, as others have said, but they have a sound machine that helps drown out the AC a little. We would stay here again if we were guaranteed it had been DEEP cleaned. Otherwise, we would choose another unit in this complex. Side note, be prepared, they are not large units. We knew that, and were fine with it.

This place was DOUBLE BOOKED. There I was with my family, tired from our trip and in front of the property door but couldn’t go in as there was another family in it. People who were in it felt sorry for it, but nothing they could do about it. They had been there for a couple of days, and told us that they had concerns with cleanness as they saw cockroaches all over. The next door neighbor stepped outside and said the same. We called the property manager and told them about the double booking. They apologized and said they would call back with a solution. They did. They found another place not too far, and gave us the directions. Great, problem solved…not quite. The other property required us to pay resort fees at check-in, but then the property manager (Maui Paradise Properties) told us they would issue a refund to us afterwards. Great, problem solved…not quite….it has been two months and no refund has been issued. What a disappointment…truly disappointment. Maui Paradise Properties really messed this up, and to date they still haven’t gotten their act together.

The location was amazing, it was centrally located to all of the gorgeous beaches in the area and not far from the airport or the south west side of the island! The condo had everything we needed, the bed was so comfortable, and the views of the sunset every night had us rushing home from dinner to sit on the lanai! The rental company was also very helpful, they provided us with a number to text or call at any time with issues and they responded in a timely manner. The beach chairs and cooler were an added bonus as we spent almost everyday on a different beach— and we ended up renting an umbrella and snorkel gear to go with them from a nearby store. Would definitely recommend this rental!! The only problem we had (which is at no fault of the rental management or the owner) but the “security” person who was to provide us with a parking tag was no where to be found, and didn’t answer the phone listed in the security office door. Took us two days to find him at a decent hour, and then they provided us with a paper stating COVID regulations for the property which clearly stated the guidelines and we had no questions. The next night the security guard was constantly reminding people to wear masks even though they were clearly “stationary” and 6 feet from others outside, one of which was even drinking a beverage. (Which was outlined on the information provided by the property itself that it was acceptable).
