This property was exactly as depicted in the photos… Perfect for 2 couples with the 2 king suites. The ocean club, while a little bit of a walk, was gorgeous and a great place to relax after a long day of touring. The restaurant there was a huge bonus — the food was delicious and their mai tai was the best we had on the island. Only wish it stayed open later! All in all, we were thrilled with the accommodations and very happy we selected Hali’i Kai for our first trip to Hawaii! Thank you, Michaela!

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. The facility is large, but our unit was private and quiet. The best part was having so much room for two families to spread out and all of the extras provided (toys, beach chairs, coolers, binoculars, etc.). The pool was nice and never crowded, but did feel more adult-focused, so we were always cautious about our kid making too much noise. The downsides were the pool rules and the restaurant. The rules are very strict and some are frankly insane. No flotation devices are allowed for children four and under… I can’t imagine this is enforced, but the fact that it’s written all over is crazy. We’re supposed to let them drown instead?! They do enforce rules about no water bottles, coolers, or drink containers of any kind. Even if you’re working out in the gym near the pool, employees will make you remove your water bottle from the area and use a tiny plastic-lined cup instead. The restaurant was not open during its listed hours during our stay; it would often open very late or one day not at all (making the no food/drink/containers rule even crazier since we couldn’t bring snacks for ourselves or children). Still, we had a very nice time and loved the room and views.

We truly enjoyed our week at Hali’i Kai 6D. The unit is chock full of beach essentials: chairs, umbrellas, towels, coolers. Snorkels, towels, fins etc. additionally, it has a fantastic view from the lanai of the golf course and the ocean beyond. It was very clean with all of the towels and kitchen utensils.
The grounds are impeccably maintained. A truly gorgeous property. It was our
Morning ritual to take the short walk with our 2 year old to the pool for an early morning swim, a great way to kick off the day. We spent a lot of time at lively beaches and spent a day with friends at the very busy (but fun!) Hilton next Door. It was amazing to have the serenity of Hali’i Kai to wrap up our days!
Would definitely recommend this place to anyone - families, friend groups, and couples.

We loved our stay here. The unit was well appointed and clean. Our favorite part was the pool/beach club area. It stays open till after sunset, so it is a great area to chill, get a drink from the bar and let the kids play. We even saw dolphins from the pool area! The covered porch is a great area to bird watch and check out some of the local wildlife. The property is well maintained and the location is close to Kona and popular beaches like Hāpuna. This unit deserves its 5 star rating.

If you are looking for a perfect condo on the Big Island this is it! Owner very responsive and had the condo ready with a welcome bag of coffee and basket of fruit. It is exactly as described and pictured. Spacious and comfortable for our family. It is a 5 minute stroll to pool with amazing views of ocean. It was really in the middle of everything we wanted to do and we drove all over the island. Close to restaurants, A-Bay, Mauna Kea, Hapuna beaches etc.

It was a beautiful condo with everything you could imagine !
We didn’t like the fact that you couldn’t even bring a water bottle into the pool area. That was a bit excessive.

This property was in a great mid-way location in the complex with a deck that provided views of the ocean and the whales. The unit was comfortable and had all the amenities a family needs. We used the beach supplies, the sports gear and the board game’s frequently. Cooked meals most of our 2 week stay. The bowl of fresh fruit upon check in was a nice touch.
Michaela was in easy reach when we did contact her during our stay.
This was our fourth stay in this very same condo (now under new ownership) and we were still happy with the condition of the unit.

Beautiful well maintained condo in a gated community close to a beach and shops, 30 mins to the airport and docks. Well furnished. Nice deck overlooking the golf course and distant ocean view. Very nice clubhouse and pool area. Basically full restaurant and bar at the pool area. Would definitely stay again.

The condition of this condo may be the best in all of our years with VRBO! From the lovely decor (it absolutely looks staged it’s so beautifully done) and comfortable furnishings to its lovely ocean views; the care and thought was always apparent. We also enjoyed the Ocean Club that offered a respite when we needed a break and oh the ever changing colors of the sea, the ability to watch whales right in front—wow! Even with rainy and windy days we loved our stay!

This is a great property. The condo is very well maintained and in a great location. We very comfortable during our stay, one of the better rentals we’ve had. It has ocean views and you can walk to the pool (though they are strict about outside food/drink at the pool). Centrally located for exploring the Big Island. Looking forward to coming back again.

This unit, Hali'i Kai, 6D, was perfect for our first family vacation to Hawaii! We couldn't have asked for a more beauiful place! It had an amazing view of the ocean and golf course. We enjoyed many awesome sunsets from the lanai. Everything was ready for our arrival including a manual explaining everything that we needed to know about the condo, development, nearby stores, and beaches.

Amazing location and beautiful property. Large condo provided everything needed for kitchen, dining, pool, and beach. Amazing views from lanai across to ocean waves crashing onto cliff shore. Large living space and separation between bedrooms gave lots of room and privacy. Pool in complex was enjoyable with sunset views from there. Short walk past pool to shoreline access provides amazing sunset views over the ocean, and allows walking to 'Anaehoʻomalu Beach or to Honoka'ope Beach. Communication during a repair needed during our stay was detailed and timely.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at this well-appointed, very clean condo. It was a great home base for several excursions to other parts of the island. We frequently found ourselves back at the pool in the afternoons for relaxation, refreshing cocktails, awesome sunset views, and a few tasty dinners.
The condo had everything we needed, including several useful amenities for the beach. We really appreciated how well-appointed this condo was.
All in all it was a really nice, clean, comfortable condo in a great location with a wonderful private pool/bar/restaurant and several great beaches nearby.

We’ve stayed in two other very nice condos in this development, and this was by far the best. Everything was ready for our arrival, including a comprehensive house manual explaining everything you would need to know about this condo and the condo development. Everything was clean, and the condo was very well equipped. We spent a lot time on the patio, watching the amazing sunsets. Our host was great. We’re hoping we can arrange to visit again.

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks at this lovely unit. It was extremely clean, nicely furnished and had all the amenities one could need. The kitchen was well appointed, and we really appreciated the convenience of having such things as chairs/mats/umbrellas/coolers in a couple closets for beach trips. The condo overlooks the golf course with nice views to the ocean. We barbecued and had dinner on the the lanai a few evenings as we watched amazing sunsets. (Bonus: The on-site restaurant/grill by the lovely salt water pool has great food and drinks and the staff was fun and friendly.) Owner Michaela was easy to communicate with, provided a lot of helpful information and made sure everything from check-in to check-out was seamless. The welcome basket of island-themed goodies waiting for us our first day was a nice (and tasty) surprise. We definitely recommend 6D for anyone in search of a two bedroom unit at the lovely and always relaxing Hali’i Kai.

While the location is ideal as with other units in the area, what really set this property apart is the thoroughness and I would even say generosity of the hosts. The unit is so well stocked and well organized, it is the best we ever had over the years of traveling and staying all over Hawaiian islands. It came with everything you could ever need on an island vacation (from welcome basket all the way down to ear cleaning drops!!!)The information booklet is well organized and very helpful. Would definitely come back the next visit to the big island.

This property was exactly as described. We took a mother daughter trip and enjoyed the location and quiet property. The view of the ocean was beautiful morning and night. The owner has everything from games to beach activities. The local pool with the view of the ocean was so nice to relax and have a cocktail! Beds and couch bed were comfortable! We had a minor issue with a lock and wifi which the property owner was very fast in responding and assisted us with all of our needs. Definitely a 5 star!

Wonderful place to stay. Clean, lovely and I felt like a princess. The dinner at the restaurant (at the bar) was one of the best meals we had on the whole Island. Michaela was wonderful to work with and made sure everything was done well. Lots of beach toys, though only one umbrella, though that worked out ok. Our only complaint was that the internet had to be re-set every day and some times twice a day, other than that, it was a dream place to stay. Thank you Michaela!

Staying at Michaela's place was so so wonderful! It was super convenient to all the exploring our family of four wanted to do while staying in this part of the Big Island. Michaela was warm, communicative and responsive throughout, from booking to check out, and we appreciated so many touches - from fresh tropical fruit to the details in an obviously well cared for and tended to home. It was very well stocked with all the beach equipment we needed (chairs, towels, boogie boards, and cooler were incredibly useful!), cooking supplies and tools, movies and games, and useful area info. The access to pool and ocean club was also wonderful and convenient, and a great spot for sunset viewing and having a bite to eat or a drink.
The unit was exceptionally clean, great layout and feel to the space, beautiful views from the lanai at sunset and all other times. There are great ocean and golf course views from the lanai, beautiful colors and relaxing breezes. We enjoyed eating meals on the lanai and slept remarkably well - I think there's something magical about those comfortable beds and peaceful, quiet setting!
We would return in a heartbeat.

Michaela's condo was perfect for our family vacation. It's larger than the pictures depict, it has a beautiful view of the ocean as well as the golf course. It's clean and quiet and it's stocked with everything you need, including beach towels and chairs. And if you don't mind a little walk (about a mile), you are close to restaurants and beaches. The pool is also beautiful and they serve killer pina coladas! Thanks, Michaela for allowing us to stay in our beautiful home!

I cannot rave enough about how amazing this property is! The condo itself is very comfortable with all the extras you could ask for - the activities closet/games/etc is fully stocked, the kitchen is well stocked too and let’s not forget that beautiful balcony! The clubhouse and pool are phenomenal and we’re great to come home to after mornings out at the beaches. I do not have enough kind words for the staff at the clubhouse; the food was great, drinks were amazing and cheap but their hospitality was beyond what we had expected. I have stayed in several condos in the Waikoloa Beach area and I think we have finally found the one to keep coming back to and we were already telling the staff we would see them next year! We had a fantastic week in 6D! This property comes more well-stocked than any vacation property I have ever rented. Everything you need for the beach from chairs to towels to snorkels. The basics for cooking including olive oil and spices were a very nice touch.
Ocean views are stunning, the bedrooms are large, and the location on the island can’t be beat. We can’t wait to come back.
Also, we found Pua in the Hali’i Kai front office to be absolutely delightful. 5 stars all around!

We've been waiting to visit our family for over a year now, like everyone else and it was worth the wait to plan a reunion in a place like this. We spent the day at many beautiful beaches borrowing the beach toys available and cooked in and ate on the lovely lanai as the stunning sunsets kept rolling in. We enjoyed Kona and traveling to the other side of the island where the weather was so different and as soul filling. We thoroughly enjoyed your haven with our family. :) Hope to return sometime soon! Aloooohaaaa!

The unit was 2 bedrooms - perfect for our family. Because the bedrooms were each on the opposite side of the unit, it gave us plenty of space. The views were beautiful and the poolside service and entertainment were both enjoyable. We would definitely return to this property.

The property listing exceeded our expectations. It was incredibly clean and well stocked. The Hali’i Kai itself is a beautiful condo complex and incredibly safe. 6D exceeded our expectations. My only gripe was the person in the front office. She was fairly rude and unhelpful at both check in and check out, for no apparent reason. Certainly nothing to do with the property or the property owner.

This is a beautiful home. We enjoyed our stay. It was clean, beautiful and so close to so many amazing beaches. We loved getting up early and walking out to the water before heading to the beach. The beach club restaurant was so good. The pool is shallow 3.5 feet in most places, so more for relaxing than for swimming, but that was perfect since we swam all day at the beautiful beaches close by. We would love to come visit again. Truly paradise.
