We found the home very comfortable. Breeze off the ocean made it so pleasant, and the view is stunning. We didn’t hang out at home much. Basically used the home as a crash pad for daily adventure sightseeing.

I love Mahina Surf and this unit was super well appointed- it had everything, even a baby bottle brush! The owners worked with me so I could get some rented baby furniture delivered ahead of our stay and were very nice.
Just be aware this is a second story unit and there’s a lot of stairs to get to the unit and then in the unit. Sort of tough with a baby and stroller etc etc.

Mahina Surf property has it all in gorgeous setting with best pool, honu abound and whale watching. Easy walk to morning coffee and the Times grocery store. Our condo was beautifully updated with well stocked kitchen appliances, wifi/tv in every room and fantastic view from the lanai. I would return again and again. Mahalo for sharing your bit of paradise with us.

A nice property with a beautiful view and turtles to greet you on the beach. Furnishings of the condo were good. The kitchen pans needed to be replaced. More towels and sheets could be provided. A little noisy being next to the pool. Fans made noise after being on awhile . There was no battery in the fan remote in upstairs bedroom.

Nice property. The pictures don’t actually do the view justice. The unit has a partially obstructed view of the ocean but it’s better than it looks from the pictures. The property itself is beautifully maintained. And we were lucky enough to see a group if sea turtles swim in on two if the evenings.

The hosts keep an amazing condo. This is our second time in this same unit. The views are incredible the environment is peaceful. It really is a small piece of paradise. The entire complex is quiet, family friendly, and an overall excellent place to spend your time. Top notch experience looking forward to our next visit.

It was my first time booking through VRBO, I honestly made the best decision EVER!! The owner was always attentive and just amazing, and always went above and beyond. Darren allowed us to bring 3 additional guest (2 adults and an infant, which the place had plenty of room but we still asked him). Darren was nothing but kind. Once we arrived in Maui I called Darren immediately and asked if we can do an early check-in, luckily the previous people had left earlier before their check out, and he sent his cleaning crew to clean the place. We were able to check in by 12pm which was great since we had our daughter with us and need to feed her and try to get her a nap. Once we arrived at the property, we opened the door and it was like walking into a paradise, absolutely gorgeous. The view was breathtaking, the place was clean, and the description is accurate. The onsite person that is there to help out if you have any questions, is also super kind. We asked him to show us how to use the ceiling fans because two of them were not turning off/on correctly. Within hours Darren had someone come in and help us with that and fixed them immediately. I just don't have enough words to describe this experience, it was magical, it was home away from home. We all absolutely loved the place and would rebook it with no hesitation!! Thank you, Darren, for being so kind, going above and beyond and exceeding our expectations, and accommodating in every way possible!!

The unit was clean. A some ceiling fans were not working and had a slight ant issue. Carpet needs cleaning. Other than that the unit was great. Furniture and bed were very comfortable and the views are fantastic.

What a remarkable property! Location is everything and the views are exquisite. We loved every minute of our time, especially spending mornings and evenings on the balcony, and visiting the small beach to watch the turtles each night. The property is exactly as listed and surpassed our expectations. Great communication with hosts prior to our visit. We love Maui and hope to return and stay again in this condo.

Our first impression wasnt great, we opened our front door to have several of the door slates fall off onto the porch we then went in and the rug in living room was filthy had spilled food and stains, I actually had to take a towel and try and clean it up. we got coffee cups the next morning out of the cupboard to find they were dirty and so were some silverware and plates, so we basically had to wash these dishes out by hand. They property had a amazing view and was remodeled very well. The maintance man was awsome and he did come and fix the slates in the front door and said property was going to get all new doors. I would stay again it was awsome property and we loved seeing the turtles each evening, but housekeeping really needs to be addressed.

The property was all that we expected and more. Pictures don’t do justice to how beautiful everything is and the view, wow.. the only thing that I would say is that it took me some time to find the unit #. It stated the address and the lockbox numbers but it didn’t saw the unit until I had to go back and look somewhere for it.

We have never been to Hawaii. We chose this VRBO, it was a great experience. We didn't know what to expect so we brought extra items. They had it all. It was very clean, very well stocked with dishes and utensils. The outdoor equipment had everything we needed to go snorkeling, boogie boards, mats, chairs, umbrella. We had an amazing time. We actually left the stuff we brought there to pass on the good fortune of this fabulous find.
It was so close to everything. We did have to drive to the beach, but the Turtles out back made up for it.

For those use to AC, this upgraded Condo didn't have it, but the breeze going through was fabulous.

Needed a condo for the last four days of our vacation. The unit was dirty! The owners may not be aware that the cleaning people are not doing a proper job. Area rug, floors, frig, baseboards, etc, really dirty.

Beautifully upgraded condo with gorgeous views from balcony. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The towels were probably the thickest and softest I have ever used in any VRBO or hotel. The entire condo had a luxurious feel to it as it was obvious that the owner paid attention to every little detail. The kitchen was the best equipped kitchen I have ever experienced in a VRBO. It even had a large spice rack! The pool and grounds were very nice.

This property was on beautiful grounds and surrounded by beautiful flora and fauna! Just from our property we saw turtles (everyday right on the beach on property), whales, dolphins, birds, etc. We loved sitting on the lanai and taking in the view at all times of day. It doesn’t have air conditioning so the upstairs loft did often feel hot, so you should know that if you are sensitive to temperature. But the breezes and the coolers provided by the owners helped with the temperature.

Amazing stay! See whales breaching from the balcony! The condo is newly renovated and the location is superb! There is not air conditioning in the condo which was an issue for a few members in our party. I do wish that element had been disclosed prior to booking. Otherwise, we look forward to booking here again - amazing stay!

not oversold and beautiful place to stay. very nice and well kept and nothing to complain about. scheduled for knee surgery next week but the upstairs condo worked out well for the 4 of us and the view is enhanced over the ground floor units. this property is also very well manitained and shows pride of ownership. thanks for sharing a place in our memories.

This is the third time we've stayed at Mahina Surf but first time in unit 223. This unit by far is the best when comparing to our previous two condos. It has everything you need and more! It was so nice to have beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella and snorkel equipment for all three of us.
The place is decorated nicely and has been maintained well. The beds and sheets are comfy.
The kitchen was well stocked, including spices, oil, paper towel, plastic wrap, etc.
Lastly the ocean view from the lanai was breathtaking! We could watch whale activity while sipping coffee or a cold beverage.
Love this place, but I hear it will be changing to some kind of an "association" and this will change how you can book in advance and that the prices will drastically increase.
Maui is my favorite vacation spot and hope I can return someday!

This condo has everything you need for a great getaway in Maui! The view and sounds of the ocean were excellent. The beds were very comfortable. The salt water pool was fantastic. The condo is located with a view of the pool making it easy to check-in with our teen daughter while she played in the pool. The grounds are lush and well cared for. It was great to have snorkel, beach chairs, beach toys and boogie boards. The beach umbrella was broken, but after easy correspondence with the owner he had one delivered the next day despite the supply chain challenges. The location is perfect with a short walk in one direction to the Fish Market Maui for fresh fish to cook at home and a short walk in the other direction for excellent sushi at Miso Phat. We look forward to staying here again!

10 min walk to the beach for swimming and 10 min drive to Kapalua bay. Nice and quiet! Didn't need a tv as the view from lanai was the only thing we wanted to look at. It's clean overall, but needs a deep cleaning.

This is part of a condo complex with a pool at the center. The area immediately in front is rocky, but there is a tiny beach where sea turtles come ashore to bask. A small beach is a 5-minute walk away. The place was well furnished and equipped with beach towels and chairs. Well-equipped kitchen as well, with access to a BBQ grill. The master bedroom is in the loft, so a little warm during our August stay, but the ceiling fan made it comfortable. Would certainly stay there again!

The view is even more amazing in person! The living spaces are cozy clean and comfortable. We met so many amazing people and families. The TURTLES!!! Giant sea turtles were on the beach every day. We had a great stay! Very clean, everything we needed in the kitchen, bed was very comfortable. Gorgeous view!!!! and turtles on the little beach next door (to the north) every night. Do note that there is no A/C so it does get a little warm in the afternoon if you are sensitive to that or you have to have it 60 degrees to sleep. We are not big fans of A/C so it wasn't an issue for us but thought I would note it. We always had a great breeze coming in the slider and there are many fans in the unit. Great location in Lahaina, well designed condo, good sized salt water pool, access to beach where you can see turtles, good board games availability, beach is a short walk or a quick drive - overall great option for a family of 4. Proximity to Honolua Bay, Napili and Kaanapali was a blessing.

We loved how quiet it was and the view from the condo! We did not have to go anywhere - everything was close: beach, snorkeling, store, pool, and turtels. We used the bus and did not rent a car! It was one of the best vacations we had.
