We enjoyed our stay at the Kamaole Sands, this is our 3rd time to Maui, we’ve only stayed at the Kamaole Sands. We’re happy staying here, the Kamaole 3 beach across the street is great. This is the first time seeing insects, not a serious problem but our first time ever. Our host Larry, awesome to deal with and always quick to answer questions and concerns! Thank you Larry! The grounds here are just beautiful and never disappoint!

We spent 8 days at Kamaole Sands in July 2023 and everything about our stay in the unit was great. Check in was seamless and the unit was exactly as described. The trade winds really do pick up in the afternoon so we only used the AC for right before bed to cool down the condo. Larry was easy to communicate with, and was always prompt with answering questions. The location is so central to everything, and having Kam 2 and 3 just across the road was so nice for peaceful morning walks, and sunset swims. Will definitely rebook if we come to Maui again.

This place is great. Would definitely stay again. Beach within walking distance. Lots of beaches a short drive away. Lots of shops and dining nearby. Some walkable. One great part was all the beach equipment. Several beach chairs. Couple sets of snorkel gear. Some beach umbrellas. And a rolling cooler. Easy to throw those in the car and leave for the week.

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Maui. The condo had access to pool, hot tubs, tennis courts, and beautiful landscaping. It’s just a few minutes walk to the beach with great snorkeling and sunsets. Condo was clean and had a great patio for morning coffee.

The view from this spacious unit is perhaps the best in the complex. Beautifully landscaped. Only about a four minute walk to the beach where many people gather for the sunset. Spacious pool with shaded areas. Fast elevator. Very convenient assigned parking. Lots of beach toys in good shape including snorkeling gear. The bedrooms and two baths are great for two couples. The kitchen was nicely equipped for meal prep. Whenever we return to Maui this will be tops on our search list.

A great place to stay! It’s right across from the beach, the complex is very well maintained and manicured. The unit was well outfitted with everything that we needed, beach chairs, towels and umbrellas. We added a couple of boogie boards to the unit’s inventory.

This is our second time staying in this particular suite at Kamaole Sands.
It’s perfect for families and slept our family of four (kids aged 5 and 2) nicely. The unit has a/c but was not needed during our stay in Nov/Dec as in the evening with the windows open the breeze is perfect.

We just returned home from Maui and our stay in 1-405 Kamaole Sands was exactly what we needed. The property was exactly as described. It was so clean (and I’m a clean freak!), and had everything we needed. Having AC throughout the unit was heavenly on those hot days and we were very comfortable.
The lanai closet was stalked with chairs, umbrellas, a large cooler, sand toys, and best of all, a beach wagon to transport it all! Our family was envious of that for sure!
Larry was so wonderful to deal with and responded quickly to any message I sent with questions leading up to our stay.
And finally, the view! It was amazing! Morning coffee every day on the large lanai staring out to the ocean couldn’t get any better.
We would definitely stay here again!

The condo was perfect for my husband and I and our 2 teenagers. They had their own space and bathroom and could go to the beach or pool and do what they liked while my husband and I could explore or go on hikes. Having a washer and dryer as well as A/C was the icing on the cake! Area restaurants were a short walk away. The property manager, Larry, was extremely accommodating allowing us to check in early.

I enjoyed my stay at the property. The unit was well stocked with everything we needed, including beach chairs and towels, laundry detergent, soap, etc.
The complex is beautiful, and the location is excellent. The unit has a great view from the lanai of the ocean, and you're right across from the tennis courts and administrative building.
It's a short drive to restaurants/bars in Wailea and Kihei, and about 45 minutes from Kaanapali Beach.
Larry, the owner, is excellent to deal with. He's quick at responding to any questions or concerns.
Definitely would recommend staying here for anyone that wants to be in a nice complex close to the beach.

We stayed at the property for 9 nights as a group of 6 adults. The beds were mostly comfortable, just the sofa sleeper felt a little uncomfortable but we remedied that by moving it to the floor. The host is very responsive and helpful to the requests and questions. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and essentials. The beach supplies were an added plus. Really appreciated the AC in all spaces as it was required in the heat of May. The location was fantastic too, and we enjoyed the view from the lanai every morning. Overall, a very good experience.

The unit was as described and very well stocked with almost everything we needed. This was perhaps the best stocked place we have ever stayed at. There is plenty of beach gear and toys including a large wheeled cooler. The location is great, across for Kam III.
Unfortunately thing go down quickly from there. At first glance things seemed good but we found the unit to be very dirty. There was so much dust and crud on the chandelier we had crud falling in our food. The floors were so dirty they made our feet black. The dust on the ceiling fan in the loft was falling on us while we slept. The toilet seats were so worn we had to ask for them to be replaced. The washer and dryer were full of sand.
We had to buy cleaning additional supplies so we could clean. It took 2 of us half a day to clean to a acceptable level. THIS UNIT NEEDS A DEEP CLEANING! We ended up leaving the unit much cleaner than we got it.
Most disappointing to us was the fact that the ceiling fan in the main floor bedroom didn't work. The room quickly became overheated at night. The management company was aware of the problem but the owner refused to replace it.
For the price we paid to stay here we expected much better than this. We would not rent this unit again or recommend it.

Our group of 3 just spent a couple nights in Larry's unit at the Kamaole Sands and it was a great experience. Larry was very communicative and accommodating with pre-trip requests. Prior to arrival, I was sent instructions for check-in, wifi, codes, etc. and recommendations for things to do, places to see.
Upon arrival, check-in was a breeze at the 24/7 registration office. Parking was nearby and we took the elevator to the top floor (4). These units are better than the rest with the vaulted ceilings and loft bedroom/bathroom.
The unit itself had everything we needed for our short stay. We didn't do any cooking so I can't comment on the kitchenware. The A/C was absolutely needed and appreciated (there's A/C in the main room and each of the 2 bedrooms, all operated together with 1 timer). The lanai offered lots of privacy and beautiful views of the property and ocean across the street.
A couple things that can be improved were the slightly musty towels/rugs, mattresses were a bit loved and the lighting is a bit dark. NONE of these things are deal-breakers and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.

This condo is the perfect location for beach and pool access. It’s Directly across the street from the beach and the closest one to the street so hauling beach stuff was super easy. And so close to the pool that we could easily run back up to the room if we forgot something.
The outdoor closet is stocked with everything we needed for the beach, thank you! We used snorkel gear, boogie boards, volleyball, chairs, umbrellas and a hat! And could pull it all in the wagon provided. It was great.
We used the AC at night which was so nice! Wonderful to have that. This condo was perfect for us. Two adults, two teens, two younger. And the owner responded very quickly if we had any questions. He was great to work with.

The property is comfortable & very well maintained and the location is stunning. Our family enjoyed two glorious weeks in Kihei. We love the proximity to beaches, shopping, outdoor activities and the best weather on Maui.

Had a small issue with the A/C but the property manager and local staff were right on it and was quickly repaired. Our stay at this wonderful location and unit exceeded our expectations! Kamaole Sands is a manicured and beautifully landscaped property opposite Kameole Beach 3. Our view of the property and azure ocean in the background from the spacious lanai made this area of our 'home' one of our favourite places to relax and dine. The space inside the unit was perfect for the 4 of us and was made even more comfortable with the built-in air conditioning. We really appreciated the convenience of having great cookware as well as the BBQ below our unit. You will surely have an amazing stay here!

This is a great property, I was a little bit worried because I had never even heard of Vrbo before I found it on Travelocity. It turn out great. The property is right in front of a park/ beach. It has everything you need for cooking except the food, washer dryer. Very clean, beautiful garden and a big pool. We loved it the price was good too. We are definitely booking this one again.

Amazing! Check-in was smooth, parking (I wish it wasn’t under a tree) but it is right in front of the building. The condo was very spacious, the kitchen was equipped with lots of pots, pans, utensils… everything but a rice cooker. Thankfully I know how to cook rice over the stove. I could have called and asked for one, but ah we get um. I absolutely love the showers! I already talked my hubby into making our shower like it! Comfortable bed, cool A/C, nice breezy wind, it wasn’t so hot! Perfect place, right across the beach. This will be my new home away from home when visiting Maui!

We had a great family vacation in this condo. The location was perfect for our needs. Easy access to local grocery stores and restaurants, plus right across the street from the beach. The lanai offers a wonderful view of both the ocean and Haleakala. We spent every morning and evening around the patio table enjoying the views.
The condo came with high quality beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, beach bags, toys and snorkel gear. Everything you need for a day at the beach!
We cooked several meals on the gas grills located right next to the building. This was a great way to keep the condo cool.
Our kids were blown away by the spiral staircase to the loft. They commandeered the big bed up there and have memories to last a lifetime.

Check-in was the only problem we had with our stay. I wasn't aware where we needed to check in - after driving around we finally found it, waited in line for about 30 min finally got to our room about 1 hour after arriving at the property.
Plenty of room for our family of four. Everything you would need for a stay was provided including beach chairs coolers and some toys for our son.
Centrally located to everything on the island. Beaches were beautiful right across the street.
AC was a definitely plus and necessary! I read about the "trade winds" being enough to cool condos down, not true it was very hot at night and the AC was so nice to have.

We had an amazing trip! The grounds at this location are beautiful and well maintained. We enjoyed the pool and outdoor grilling areas almost nightly. And of course headed for the beach daily, which was literally a 3 minute walk across the street. The unit itself is a little dated and could use a deep clean but overall we really enjoyed our stay here. The lanai is big and you have a wonderful view of the ocean from there. The Kamaole Sands is a excellent location for accessing activities all over the island — nicely central. Excellent beaches right across the street. We were, however, disappointed that we needed to supply dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent & dryer sheets, & toilet tissue, which; in the past, was provided in the condo. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and the lanai is spacious - which is a big plus. This is our twelfth stay at Kamaole Sands and our third stay in this particular unit.

This suite was absolutely perfect for our first ever visit to Hawaii. The location is unbeatable with its proximity to the beach across the street, dining and groceries. The suite has everything you need, including equipment for the beach. The views are beautiful and exactly as advertised. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else for our next visit.
It also helped that we had someone like Larry to interact with. He was instrumental in making us feel good about our choice, as he was helpful through every step of the booking, even following up after our stay. My sister stayed at a different building through another management company and had the opposite experience. There were no surprises with our stay. I couldn’t have asked for a better vacation. We had a marvelous time in Kihei, and the condo was perfect. So close to the beach, shops, etc. We were able to swim with sea turtles right at the beach which is across the street! Larry was wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend staying at the Kama'ole Sands and rent this condo! Condo is fully stocked with stuff, spices, and had everything we needed.

We stayed at this condo for a week with another couple. The condo was a perfect size and had everything we needed with more than enough space for the 4 of us. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The beach chairs, cooler, and umbrella got used daily! The view from the lanai was great and a nice place to relax, listen to the birds, and have meals/coffee. The location was excellent with Kamaole beaches 2 & 3 right across the street. Great beaches for snorkeling, whale watching, and turtles too. Easy walk to restaurants, the ABC store etc. Larry and his team were easy to deal with and quick to respond when we had questions. The complex has gorgeous grounds and we made use of the outdoor barbecues, the Weds evening mai-tai party, and the hot tubs. Will definitely be coming back to this unit.
