Ekahi Village 27C is a beautifully-decorated, updated and meticulously-maintained one bedroom, one-and-a-half bathroom condo in South Maui's prestigious Wailea resorts. Fully air conditioned for your comfort, the condo features a very spacious two-story "townhouse" floor plan - the largest one bedroom floor plan available in Wailea Ekahi Village resort. The condo is located within the Village's exclusive "Lower Village" (the part of the resort closest to the ocean, main pool and pavilion) and overlooks a gorgeous swimming pool.
The unit features panoramic ocean, garden and pool views from its oversized patio (the largest patio size found within Ekahi Village) and private, upstairs lanai off of the bedroom.
The living room features a stunning, contemporary look with brand new furniture and carpeting. A cathedral ceiling and plenty of oversized windows with garden, pool and ocean views provide a spacious, light and airy feeling. The living room opens onto a private, expansive patio with views over the nearby swimming pool, gardens and ocean. The patio features a table for outdoor dining and ample loungers for relaxing in the ocean breezes.
There is a powerful air conditioning unit located in the living room and dining area to keep the condo cool in the warmer months.
The contemporary look of the unit continues in the unit's dining area, with its sleek, glass-top table for four and modern, island-inspired artwork.
The open-plan kitchen is light and airy, featuring granite countertops and a bar for casual drinks and dining. All of the modern appliances a cook requires - side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, oven and range, microwave, dishwasher, toaster and coffee maker - are available for our guests' use.
The large, lofted bedroom upstairs features a contemporary, island look. Unlike most lofted bedrooms, the room is segregated from the living room by a short wall the height of several feet, as opposed to a wrought iron rail, which insures added privacy and safety. The room features a brand new king-sized bed set. Off of the bedroom is a newly-remodeled, full bathroom with walk-in shower, and a huge dressing area with ample closet space. The vanity, with twin 'His and Hers' sinks, is located separately from the toilet and bath/shower area for maximum privacy. A lanai with spectacular, panoramic ocean views is off of the bedroom. The bedroom also features a flat-screened TV and new, hotel-quality air conditioning unit.
In addition to the full bathroom upstairs, the condo features a second, half bathroom (toilet and sink) downstairs for guests' convenience.
Amenities include new, 32-inch, flat screen televisions with DVD players in both the bedroom and living room, an iPod dock sound system, and complementary WiFi throughout the unit.
Wailea Ekahi Village is a luxurious, oceanfront resort village situated along the white, sun-kissed sands of Keawakapu Beach - one of Maui's finest swimming beaches. The resort features 292 units in 54 low-rise dwellings, sitting on 23 acres of lushly-landscaped gardens and broad, emerald greenbelts. The listing was just like the listing described on VRBO. There were 4 or 5 dried up millipedes in the carpeted area that made us feel like the condo wasn’t vacuumed before we got there. They were also doing construction on the condo right in front of the one we rented, so that was loud a lot of the time, which isn’t the condos fault necessarily, BUT ALSO the listing states that checkout is at 11, however a lady, I am assuming from the resort, busted in the front door while we were still getting ready and told us to leave. The time noted was 10:20 when this happened. We kindly told her that our checkout was at 11 and she kept arguing with us. I’m not sure what communication error happened there between VRBO and the condo, but my checkout time was given to me at 11. Other that that, a decent place to stay.

Perfect location - pool a few steps from the property (that nobody really goes to so it's quiet). Five minute stroll to the beach. Property was in great shape and they even stock it with essentials (salt/pepper, olive oil, garbage bags, toilet paper, etc) so you don't have to worry.
If you're into snorkeling go to the beach and hang a left then walk to the resort next door. There is a reef that stretches out about a 1/4 mile with great views. We saw turtles every time we went out.

The condo worked very well for our family on this trip. Out of the 30 some odd people we had coming to Maui for the funeral service, we had 5 groups staying in Ekahi Village and all enjoyed their stay and the location of the units.

Pluses:
-Really great location within Ekahi- not directly off main greenbelt but easy access and private.
-We tend to eat most meals in, and had everything needed to cook
-view from second floor is amazing!
-close to a quiet pool
-really comfortable bed
-solar shades on both lanais so at dinner time when the sun is glaring in your face you can lower and it makes the lanais useful any time
minuses:
-the unit is in need of renovation. Master shower area looks like it has been upgraded recently.
-the unit smelled musty upon arrival (unsure if it had been rented just prior to us being there or not) but we were able to clear it out within an hour or 2 of being there. I think it's because the carpet needs to be replaced.
-ants were a bit of an issue. I say that because interestingly, the tiny island ants don't swarm the food the way mainland ants do. Informed owner on sunday, bug guy was scheduled to come tuesday though he didn't come when we were there so unsure if he came. We just kept most food in frig but they appeared in various areas of the condo then would pop up elsewhere. They weren't unbearable but should be better addressed.
I will say while we had a wonderful time, we wouldn't choose to stay here again unless it's been renovated.

Very comfortable and roomy accommodations with great views of sunset every evening. Was equipped with pretty much everything one could think of in a condo. Just steps away from a quiet pool and a short walk down to the beach. Ideal location, close to Wailea and Kihei with lots available in either direction. Looked even nicer in person than in photos as there seems to be some recent updating.

We stayed for one week in March, with our 16 year old son. We loved the two story layout with the amazing views from upstairs. The condo had everything we needed, including pickle ball racquets and boogie boards. The proximity to the pools, PB courts and the beach was amazing. We would definitely return to this unit.

The condo was infested with ants and other things. The pest control came the one day, but the ants were back the next. Overall it was a great stay.

My wife and I had a blast staying here. This unit is super close to the main pool and beach, and right next to a small pool that was dead quiet throughout our stay. The view from the upper and lower lanai is amazing. Love the townhouse floor plan so you don’t have to worry about people above or below you. It even smells amazing when walking out of the front door in the morning. Unit was spotless and owners were very responsive.

When we moved in, lots of mice droppings were downstairs and upstairs – mostly along the perimeter of rooms but also INSIDE the sleeper couch where our son was supposed to sleep. (The owner warned about mice two days before check in, so we were on alert when we moved in.) We have not seen actual mice, and we saw the owner was taking steps to address it. I understand infestation is an act of nature, but inadequate clean up is not acceptable. (Frankly, a discount and/or a option to cancel would be appropriate as these conditions were not disclosed at booking.) The three of us had to sleep in the same bed and did not really feel relaxed there. Also, “yellow crazy ants” were everywhere upstairs and downstairs so that we had to abandon our plans to cook. But this place has many PROs: Great layout with lots of light, great balcony and patio with ocean views; very comfortable shower; second bath; great low density settlement; hardly any people on its exceptional beach.

We loved our stay in this unit! Clean and spacious, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The view of the ocean from the lanai off the bedroom is so nice, and the short walk to the small pool right near the unit was very convenient. Easy to get to the beach, and we enjoyed snorkeling right out front of the property. Would definitely stay here again!
