Right on the sand! One wall is all windows looking out on the ocean, and a second wall is mirrored so it reflects the ocean, making you feel you’re on a boat with vast horizons. Private sandy beach for swimming, snorkeling, and paddling. You’ll see turtles & tropical fish, and sometimes a seal on the sand. This is one of the rare units in the Colony Surf that has an extra nook with 2 twin beds, so it can sleep four or accommodate guests. Kitchen has 4 gas burners, oven, George Foreman grill, dishwasher and new refrigerator. Great washer/dryer. Comes with one assigned parking stall. And it’s equipped with beach chairs, boogie boards and snorkeling equipment.
An architecture student who stayed here wrote: "The main space was breathtaking: 180 degrees of ocean, with a cozy bench running the length of the windows. If you've never seen the ocean from 11 stories up, there is nothing like it. You can watch a single wave 400 feet away roll in, almost standing still, the whole thing like a slow moving painting. The furniture is simple,1960s modern, and the systems function well."
Building is across from Kapiolani park, a five minute drive to Kahala, and a 15 minute walk to Waikiki. And it has 24-hour lobby staff.
