Our family of 3 enjoyed a wonderful stay in West Maui. The property had all the necessary amenities including a great pool and hot tub. Close to restaurants and groceries. Very pleased overall.

Fridge did not work from the time we arrived with a carload of Costco groceries. Property Manager brought two mini-fridges which barely fit all our food. Instead of bringing a new fridge, we had to wait for a techicisn who had to order a part which wouldn’t arrive until after we left.

We are frequent travelers to Hawaii, and to Maui in particular, so we know the options quite well. There are places where you can spend over $2,000 per night, and there are very basic rentals for $100 or less. But essentially there are two types of stays in Maui: upcountry or oceanfront.
If you're looking at oceanfront, then what you will want aside from a clean and comfortable condo in a resort (which this one is), are good views, pleasant grounds, walking distance to the beach, lounge and beach equipment, etc. This place gets five stars because it has all that.
View: sit on the lanai and you'll get great views of the beautiful grounds and the ocean.
Grounds: koi pond, two pools, two spa pools, lots of places to relax and enjoy.
Equipment: provided for all activities on the grounds, or for beaches.
Beach: Yes, there is no beach fronting Papakea, but a trifling walk next door over a short foot bridge takes you to the beach in front of adjoining resorts. No need to walk out on the street, and no need to stuff everything in the rental car to go to a beach.
In addition to all these plusses, the location is great. There is grocery shopping very close by, as well. A 10-minute drive takes you to Ka'anapali Beach, the Whaler Shops; and 15 minutes takes you to Lahaina. Day trips get you anywhere else on the island.
The price is incredibly good, so you get a great value.
Unless you were thinking of dropping $1k a night or more, just stop right now and book this place!

Great location! Beach was super close, house is stocked with everything we needed and nicely decorated without a bunch of nicnacs everywhere! We couldn't be happier and look forward to staying here again in the near future. The owner is very nice!!!

Amazing rental, hosts were very helpful and kind. Had just about everything you needed from beach chairs to putters for the putting green. If I ever go back to Hawaii, I would love to stay here again.

Great views of the ocean from the lanai. Sunset is spot-on to enjoy here with an evening cocktail! The unit was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable too. The property grounds are beautifully landscaped and communication with the management quick and easy. Hope to return again

We had a great stay. Beautiful gardens, pools and beaches. Very helpful Concierge! We will return and stay here again.
FYI, refrigerator leaks and bedroom window screens above the bed were caked with looked like years of dust.

The unit was well maintained and in a great location. We have stayed at Papakea before and never disappoints. Could use some better lighting in the shower area. But other than that, comfortable bed and nice decor!

Well-appointed condo. Balcony with views of the courtyard and pool and the ocean beyond. The complex was full of vacating families but not loud or disruptive - a nice beachy vibe. Easy walk to great takeout food. we enjoyed the outdoor yoga class offered by the resort.

Papakea is a great resort and in a great location. The unit was immaculate and everything we could have asked for was provided
ie: cooking utensils, towels, beach chairs, laundry etc etc (which as first time visitors to the island, was really helpful). Huge king size bed and even the pullout couch was comfortable. The view from the lanai overlooking the pool and beach beautiful restful and relaxing. Very happy stay and happily able to recommend for a future visit Mahalo, Mary

We enjoyed our 10 day stay at the lovely Papakea Resort condo. The grounds were always clean. A short walk to food trucks, the market, and the start of the beach walk way. The condo was comfortable and had everything we needed, including being able to see the beautifully sunsets from the lanai!

Kitchen had everything we needed. All appliances worked well. AC was loud but we would just use for a bit it to cool the place and then use the fresh air.
Great view (would have preferred tall table and chairs so railing didn’t obstruct when sitting on lanai). But we also understand this can be a safety issue for little kids.
Although there isn’t a beach right out front, the grounds are beautiful and close proximity to everything (foodtrucks, stores, surf and snorkel rental). Easy and ample parking for rental car so did lots of day trips to various beaches. We appreciated beach umbrella, towels and little cooler. There were beach chairs too, but we didn’t use them.
We easily recommend this place and would happily return.
The only issue is we aren’t still there.

Accurate to the photos and listing. The location is close to supplies and offers a lovely view from the balcony. It’s well stocked with essential beach and kitchen supplies. Although it’s not as updated as other units it still comfy including the king size bed.

This property is clean, well-located, and less than a 10 minute drive from an excellent snorkeling beach where we saw turtles, eels, octopuses, and do many different kinds of fish. Food trucks are within easy walking distance, and the complex is well maintained, quiet and family friendly.

My one week stay here was great. The location is excellent, walking distance to the Kaanapali beach walking trail, close to the store and great food trucks. It's also an easy drive to Lahaina. The condo itself was what I'd hoped from the pictures. Great ocean view, perfect place for morning coffee and dinner. The two pools in the complex were nice, and it seemed when one was super busy the other was not. I had one minor plumbing issue at check in that was (very) quickly resolved. Best of all, the setup allowed for a nice breeze through the unit at all times, so I never had to use the AC. And the My Perfect Stay people were easy to contact. I look forward to returning.

The property was very nice. Unit was clean and the area is located in a very convenient location. The one draw back is the AC. It basically is a window mount sitting in the living room venting out to the patio. On a hot day you have to have it on full blast to be cool and then forget watching tv it’s way too loud, Sitting on the patio when the AC is on is also almost impossible. If you expect to use the AC much I’d go some where else. Other units have a more modern AC system and it’s much better than this unit.

Great value and location! The property was very well kept and had everything we needed for our family of 4. It’s not a luxurious resort but had lots of activities like tennis, putting green, shuffle board and a nice pool that wasn’t too busy. It was so good that my mom and dad staying elsewhere said that they would look into staying at the papakea for their next stay. The patio was great with a lovely view of the ocean. The only small criticism we have is the ac unit which we thought was too loud and not well placed right next to pull out sofa where our kids were sleeping. The fan in our bedroom though ensured we had no issues. However if it was hotter I think it could be an issue.

First time in Hawaii and was not disappointed. My husband and I stayed at Papakea G204 for 10 days in October. We hated to leave. The view of the ocean and pool from our private Lanai was amazing. The property was beautifully landscaped and well maintained. We would stay here again for sure! Mahalo!

My husband and I were pleased and happy to rent this beautiful place in Papakea. The apartment was nice and clean. It had all the beach equipment we needed to go and visit all the beautiful beaches around the gorgeous island. We were happy that we had towels for the pool and clubs to play mini golf. Amenities at this place were well maintained. The property managers were very thoughtful and followed up with us once we arrived. We highly recommend this place.

It was very handy and nice staying at a place that provides a washing machine and laundry service as well as cooking, perfect when going on a holiday.
It would have been nice if the AC system reached the bedroom, although the fan helps the room is still somewhat warm.
We were very happy with everything and would definitely come again.
Sunsets are breathtaking as well as a nice breakfast on the porch overlooking the sea.
Lots of parking space never an issue ...

Papakea condo G204 was a very well appointed condo that was beautifully decorated and very neat and clean. The views were absolutely outstanding. The grounds were meticulously maintained and would recommend this property to anyone visiting Maui.

This is our fourth visit to papakea and the second time staying in this 1Br unit. The location is great. Nice views and all the amenities are in easy reach. Second floor is just right where you have your privacy but still be able to have a conversation with friendly passers by. Would definitely stay here again.
