Clean, nice location, good to have parking, responsive management and great communication.
We had a great time in Hawaii. We didn't spend much time in the condo but had a pleasant time when we were there. Thank you
The condo was great but there was no power outlet in the bathroom to plug in hairdryer. Some repairs on the walls in bathroom were still in progress or maybe it's been like that forever. The Oceanview is only between buildings. I would book with this property again but will never book through VRBO again as they charged an additional $205 ($283.00 CAN) that I was not aware of. This was more than the cost of one-night stay.
The space as perfect for us, with all the amenities a family could need and easy, free parking. It was great to be able to cook our own meals when we wanted and yet close enough to walk to pink pancake breakfast at the the Royal Hawaiian. Quick walk to great beaches, easy to drive to everything else. They even gave us all we needed for a week in terms of bathroom products, dishwashing and laundry. So helpful! We would definitely stay here again.
All perfect except for the noisiest AC ever
Waikiki is the place to bring your family for a fun time to relax and have plenty excursions . Parking had tight spots but other than that loved the place overall would definitely stay again .
The property was as seen in pictures. Great location and had no issues! Would definitely recommend.
This condo caught my eye on VRBO for its attractive appearance, price and location. I booked it for our family of four and it was perfect. The room itself is exactly as advertised and having the well-stocked kitchen saved us a significant amount of money over the 10 days. We loved being so close to the beach and the downtown area. We enjoyed the pool, hottubs and lounge chairs and everything was kept very clean. Although it was a good price to book at the time, I was shocked at all the additional fees, so that is something to take into account if you are on a tight budget. All in all, we would return to this property.
Great pool and hot tub. Could use more lounge chairs. View was ok. Noise level low
Great place to stay with lots of room! We appreciated the communication that led up to our stay. Parking is a HUGE plus and the security were super friendly. Short walk to the beach. The only downside is not having clean towels every day like you would in a hotel. But we didn’t utilize the laundry machines either.
Would highly recommend this place!
Pros: Extremely walkable. Partial ocean view between hotels. Clean, affordable, well stocked, beds are comfortable (even the sofa sleeper). Parking included, very easy check in.
Cons: Smaller than expected, no colorful bedspreads (just white sheets). No privacy for the bathroom as the latch is a different type than the hook and therefore doesn’t catch and lock; actually doesn’t actually close. Headboard on bed isn’t attached so bangs against wall getting in and out of the bed. You have to vacate exactly at 10 am as cleaning crew will come in exactly at 10 am.
only a few blocks away from the excitement and beauty of waikiki beach. good sized unit as my two teens want their own bed so it was nice to have the pull out couch in addition to the two full sized beds. nice to have a kitchen also. great views of the pool and you can see the ocean between buildings! we definitely would stay again!
Property was as advertised. Easily comfortable for 2 adults and 1-2 kids. A/C unit kept things bearable. A ceiling fan would’ve been nice to help circulate the air. Bathtub was a little leaky. Management was responsive when we contacted them. Maintenance didn’t run the water long enough to discover it but as soon as that is addressed, it will be fine. Free parking was such a bonus. Easy in and out. Good location to Wikiki Beach 5 min walk. Good view from 19th floor.
Location was great. Short walking distance to the beaches, restaurants and International Mall
Loved our stay. Everything was described in the listing perfectly.
A/c was leaking, and water on balcony
This is my first trip to Waikiki and definitely a different feel then Maui but still beautiful. That aside, the unit was as described, very spacious, and having the two beds and the pull out couch gave plenty of room for my family of 4. Kitchen has plenty of utensils, pots, pans, and bowls. Parking was plentiful and it was a great location to venture out to the various parts of the island.
This place was great! Great place for a family of 5! Would recommend this to anyone.
Great spot, has everything you need. Nothing too fancy but perfect for our family of four. The location is perfect for beach fun and walking to restaurants.
Location close to Waikiki. Free parking was a huge asset. Would book again
The location was convenient. The condo is nice. The kitchen is well equipped and the island is huge making it easy to cook and eat. The beds are comfy, but small. Full size beds are not the best for bigger folks. We found ourselves needing another bathroom at times. We knew it only had one bathroom when we booked tho. The A/C is only decent in the main room, it does not cool the bedroom which becomes overly hot due to the windows and humid from the bathroom. The hot water for the shower only worked 2 out of 10 days. The rest of the time it was either cool or lukewarm at best. Overall it was a nice place to hang our hats for our visit and we would recommend it to others.
Ps. The elevator takes forever.
We had a great stay in this unit in the Waikiki Banyan. Perfect size for our family of 4 (2 adults + 2 kids). Balcony overlooks the pool area, and squarely faces south, towards the ocean. There was free parking with unlimited in/out, which was the main selling point for us, since we rented a car for the whole time. Unassigned parking, but we had no issues finding open spots. We didn’t use the kitchen at all, but there are pots, pans, cups, plates, utensils for all your cooking needs (but no oil or salt/pepper). They also supplied dish soap, dish drying rack, and sponge, 1 paper towel roll and 3 toilet paper rolls. Also included: 2 beach chairs, plenty of towels, 2 small bars of soap, laundry basket, hair dryer, insulated cooler bag, iron. However, bring your own shampoo and conditioner; they only provided a tiny “sample size” bottle of each, and we used it all in a day.
This was a great location, about 2 short blocks to the beach, lots of great places to eat and shopping.
The apartment had ample cookware to prepare meals and dishes. Laundry basket made ease of carrying laundry to and from laundry room down the hall.
The towels were newish, the bed sheets were really worn and not white but clean. The drapes were dirty/ dusty along with the sofa. Got quite itchy sitting on the couch.
Overall it was a great apartment.
Good parking, convenient access to freeway, vs. walked to all Waikiki activities , air con , t.v. kitchen , bath all worked, would stay again!
We absolutely loved our condo! There was far more than enough space for a family of 4. The price was perfect for our stay. The views were amazing! The only one thing I found more so on a negative side was there needs (or should be) a donation area when checking out. It's my fault too though as I bought a lot of food to supply us the whole week but had no where to donate any un-used items when we left. We will most definitely be booking another stay in the future!! Thank you all again for making my very first trip to Hawaii a spectacular experience!
Check in was easy
Loved the place. Check in according to the app was at 3 pm. When we got there at 3, a lady chided us for being early and apparently check in wasn’t until 4 pm. Other than that, we had a great stay.
Good location and quiet. Some aspects are dated but otherwise it's clean and comfortable which is all you can ask for really. Plenty of pots and pans, dishware, large fridge and even a rice cooker. Parking lot is safe. The large kitchen island is a great place to gather, or work, or eat.
There are a few non deal-breaking cons which mostly have to do with the building. There are only 4 elevators that service the 30+ story tower and one was down for our entire 6 night stay, and additional one went down for one day. Factor that in when trying to check out when everyone else is trying to do so. It took 15 minutes for us to get an elevator that would fit one of us with luggage, 40 minutes total to get everyone down and into the car.
The building across the way has two really bright lights on every floor that will shine into the condo, even with the shades closed. Didn't bother us, might bother others. There are some videos showing how annoying those lights are.
Bathroom is small. Like, really small, but at least the sink is on the outside.
If you're out and about all day, you might not find this place worth it, but if you bring food back to eat in, have to work and are generally planning to stay in a lot, it's perfect.
We had a wonderful time here. The condo was spacious. We have stayed at the Waikiki Banyan several times before. View was pretty good. Bathroom is rather small, but they all are at the Banyan. Plenty of pots, pans, and dishes. Just would have been nice to have more spices. We brought some of our own. Brought our own coffee and some spices. Everything else was great. Easy entry with key pad. Always put the key on your keychain for the doors that go to the elevators, because they lock the door at night … then you would have to take the stairs. Mahalo Midway!
This property was a little bit older and showed some wear on some of the furniture, but it was clean, had a view of the ocean, and it was a good space. The location was excellent and check in and check out was really easy. We loved having the parking space in the garage as well.
Exactly as advertised. Good location and free parking.
This day was great! They had extra supplies and stuff for us when we got there. Even got some cleaning supplies if you’re there long enough to clean up a little bit. Easy parking and great location.
The location of this property is awesome! Just a few minute walk to the heart of Waikiki which made it super convenient! The host was quick to respond when some things were missing. Would stay again
This property is in an older building. The unit is as described, but could use a little sprucing up. A fresh coat of paint would really help! The location is great, a short walk to the beach and there are restaurants close by. Free parking was a plus!
Really nice and clean location at Waikiki. My friend and I enjoyed our stay there. We had only two feedbacks. Easy access to power outlet in the bedroom would have been appreciated. And an extra set of comforter would have been great!
I had a really nice stay at this property. It is a great location at a very reasonable price. It's walking distance to everything and comes with free parking which is a HUGE perk. You can walk all around Waikiki but make sure your feet are flip-flop ready! I walked over 50 miles and drove something like 300 during my 5 days stay. Hawaii is meant to be explored!
The property comes with some nice amenities to get your started. Dish soap, laundry soap, toiletries, etc. It also comes with a full kitchen which is nice. The bed was super comfy and the A/C works great! The views from the patio are okay... visibility of the ocean is somewhat limited but you have nice views of the pool deck. You can get a great view of the city by taking the elevator to the 38th floor and walk to the West side fire escape. Great nighttime views of the city from there. If I had any constructive criticism to give it would be that this place needs a new coat of paint. Some areas of the condo just look a little worn and I think a new coat of paint would do wonders but for the price I didn't expect the Ritz Carlton. This place was perfect for the value... oh also... When using VRBO be sure to check those cleaning fees! This place had reasonable cleaning fees but they do ask you to take out all your trash and do your own dishes which is very reasonable considering how low the cleaning fee was. Thanks for helping me create an amazing Hawaii memory.
We selected this condo to accommodate our family of 5 for 10 days and save on eating out. It has two beds and a pull out couch. The beds were a little on the small side as my feet dangled over and two adults were a tight fit on one but we made it work. We opted for this unit so we could cook to save some money. It had everything we needed we even grilled on the BBQ on two nights. Please note that you must reserve it, get the key and have 8 quarters for 1 hour. This was something we learned the hard way on our first night. The free parking was an absolute blessing as I heard of some places changing 50 a night, ouch. The beach is just 2 short blocks down but be aware there are no waves. For our kids waves are a must so we had to always walk 3 more blocks to the right where waves made it to shore. If you are stocking up, the nearby Safeway is pretty expensive go the extra mile to Walmart it is much more reasonable.
EXCELLENT location for Waikiki beach-goers, easy access to everywhere you’d want to go, DELIGHTFUL living spaces and amenities, and the parking is what you really need! Would stay again!
-Easy access to laundry and parking
-VERY CLEAR information from owner
-5-10 minute drive to every variety of food
-5 min walk to Waikiki Beach!!
-Rooftop hot tub and pool
-Tiny mini-mart for quick and small needs in the lobby.
Only complaint would be the sofa bed is a good bit less comfortable than the other beds, if that matters to anyone. It’s still a 10/10! Location and service 12/10!
