We enjoyed being right on the ocean. There is no sandy beach but there are dozens of giant sea turtles that come out to sun on the rocky shore and their colors perfectly match the rocks. Snorkeling was superb. Our disappointment was the construction noise during three of our five days there. We were told via email about this just days before we arrived and we were not in a position to change our plans.

The cove is truly a special place, I have stayed in several units on property. Unit 113 was impeccably clean. It could use a bit of updating. That didn't take away from our experience! Enjoyed the location of unit 113, great to be able to walk off the front patio out to the pool and cove.

The beautiful cove view, snorkeling and sunsets can't be beat from this location! Unit #113 was easy to walk right out to enjoy the lanai, grassy area, pool, or snorkeling in the cove with many turtles. This cove is the best place to snorkel! # 113 was clean and well equipped. It is a little tired though and could use some upgrades. Overall, our stay here was a wonderful experience. We would come back in a heartbeat! Office and property management was great. The grounds are beautiful. Ocean front BBQ's are kept spotless for your use. Tiki torches are lite every night and fun to watch this tradition. Thank you Ray for all your hard work.

Enjoyable. Such a treat to watch the whales.. Snorkeling with the turtles awesome. The pool was perfect temperature, not too cold. The only reason I do NOT recommend this hide away to anyone is its gotten to popular and hard to get reservations. books up fast.

The Cove is a fabulous location and setting for a great family vacation. Beautiful grounds and wonderful snorkeling in the cove with the turtles. We were so impressed with our it feels like a small, private, friendly neighborhood in the middle of alot of other less appealing condos. Highly recommend it.

I was blessed to be told about this amazing establishment. If you want a large establishment with all the amenities, this is not for you. If you want a spectacular view,a small quiet peaceful place to watch nature and snorkel with sea turtles, this is the place. I will definitely be returning.

We have stayed at the Honokeana Cove multiple times. For example we were there last year, this year & have reservations for next year already. This stay we had 2 different units. Our unit of choice only had 8 nights avaliable so we booked an additional 5 nights in unit 113. Unit 113 has not been remodeled like most units at the Cove. It is more than overdue for a major remodel. Stainless steel sink has a rusted hole and a piece of electrical tape covering it which does not stay or work at all. A simple plug should be installed. The only positive is the bed was comfortable. All funiture is old & outdated. The unit only had one old beach chair where you should need no less than two. TV's are basically monitors. The living room TV did not work & needed to have the Spectrum box replaced after the 1st night. If any other unit is avaliable, I would stay there & will not rent this unit again unless it is remodeled.

The grounds of the property are gorgeous and very well kept. The convenience of being able to access the cove is awesome. I have stayed at Honokeana Cove several times and have always been impressed with the accommodations, that is until this recent visit. We stayed in #113 and found that although we paid the same price as similar updated units ours had yet to be updated. The ease of a walk out lanai was wonderful, the bed comfy and the view stunning. However the fridge was rusty inside the freezer and the top shelf in the fridge had a constant pool of water, making that shelf unusable. There was so much moisture in the fridge that we had to throw food away after only a couple of days...the sliding door and sliding screen would not close all the way, therefore not locking either. The solution provided was to place a wooden dowel in the grooves at the base of the slider to keep it "locked". This does not prevent bugs,baby geckos or roaches (we found a couple roaches in the bathroom) from getting in. The bathroom was ok, except for the shower, which is made for short people ( I am 5'8" and my partner is 6'3") we both struggled when trying to wash our hair. I think this unit should be less expensive than the comparable updated 1BR/1BA units or they should update it to be on par with the others. All in all we had a great time and will definitely be back, just not to this unit in it's present state.

This was our second stay here. This time we brought along family members and met up with friends. In total we had five different units. Each unit is a little different but they all are well appointed with everything you need to cook, enjoy the pool, and the cove. The only negative for this trip is it rained almost the whole time we were there, but nevertheless we had a fantastic time. Can’t wait to come back!!

We have been coming to the Cove for over 20 years. We call it home away from home. Our favorite things about the Cove are the view from every condo, best snorkeling on the Island, sitting out by the tiki torches watching the waves come in, fish jumping, turtles basking on the rocks, the night heron! I've been enjoying staying here with family and friends the last few summers. I love how small and private it is here. Having a kitchen, a short walk to the grass to relax and the cove to snorkel at is all very convenient. I really think air conditioning is needed though. This is the third condo I stayed in with no air conditioning here. The screen door was also not working well. But that is minor. Other than that, I can't wait to come back. The landscaping is always perfect and the view of the sunsets sitting on the patio can't be beat. A short walk to Napili Beach and restaurants is a plus too. The resorts are great to stay at, but you can't get this little traffic of people with a private cove at them.

I'm a former resident of of Maui and have stayed at the cove for many years after moving from island. The cove is a special place with it's Hawaiiana feel. We will return to the cove on future trips. However the unit we booked Unit 113 needs attention. It was dirty upon check in hair on the bathroom floor and door. Grimmy walls and floor boards. Dirty seen it's day carpet in the bedroom. The kitchen needs help. If you want to make dinner there you have to be very creative broken tongs piece meal plates platters very little condiments even down to the most basic salt and pepper. We left what we purchased. Also the sheets o the bed were like razor blades. We ended up checking out early and booking a place elsewhere to be able to enjoy our vacation. As I mentioned before we will return to the cove but we will never book sit 113 again.

Our visit to Honokeana Cove was a very solid and enjoyable experience: the staff were attentive to our needs, our accommodations were clean, in excellent condition and comfortable. The ocean cove is alive with fish and turtles and that insures that snorkeling/swimming will be an enchanting experience even with the winds and choppy waters that are unusual.

The condo was perfectly located, and exactly as shown on your website. My new husband found a ring while snorkeling, and it really made us feel like family when we met the other newlyweds who had lost it! The Pupu Party was fantastic, I will never miss another Wed night gathering. Our 15y/o daughter was able to snorkel to her heart's content. She was amazed by the variety of fish & number of turtles. While we did visit a few other snorkeling spots on the island, we all enjoyed the feeling of being in our own personal paradise while at the cove. The property is so clean and beautiful, we spent a majority of our trip at the cove. It was great to have a fully appointed kitchen and have the convenience to get poke from Napili Market for lunch everyday!

There is something indescribable about Honokeana Cove - it's cozy, welcoming, beautifully situated, and close to everything without being in the middle of everything. The lanais all face the lawn/pool/cove so at times it felt like we were part of the most friendly of neighborhoods. If you prefer upscale, 5 star resort experiences then you'll feel more at home at Kapalua or the Ritz Carlton just up the road, or the resorts at Kaanapali. But if you're looking for a relaxing, peaceful, home-away-from-home experience then look no further than Honokeana Cove.

Location could not be more beautiful, the condo was sparkling clean and well-appointed, the grounds were perfectly landscaped and maintained, couldn't be more impressed! Only 1 thing detracted, and that only matters if you are seeking R&R rather than parties. There was a great deal of drinking in the yard and at the pool (with glasses and bottles), a lot of noise including drunken arguments. Great for kids to run around and be excited, another for adults to bellow incoherently at midnight. Would highly recommend, depending on expectations.

The best lodging choice on Mauii.Condos face a great snorkeling bay. Units have full kitchens with decks over looking the bay. Units are ver clean and kitchens are well supplied for cooking. Grounds are very attractive and well maintained.
