Nice off the grid house, everything you need except cell signal!
Hana is great, don't be afraid of the road, take it slow and its not that bad. Unfortunately we didnt realize that 95% of all food in Hana closes between 5-7, so we ended up having ramen from the grocery store! If we had planned a bit better, we would have bought take-away, or brought more groceries with us to cook in the HUGE kitchen!

You will need to climb 2 flights of stairs to enter the house. There is plenty of places to relax in these spacious rooms, and porch, all to yourself. Be careful driving a low clearance vehicle (we had a mustang convertible) as we scraped a lava rock leaving behind some metal shavings near the bamboo trees. We couldn’t find a toaster, but the toaster oven was a good substitute. We had everything else needed for a very peaceful respite. Thank you!

The grounds of the home are beautifully manicured. The underneath of the home is an eyesore, but we knew that from other reviews and expected it. Some trellis fencing could help cover it up but overall, we weren't bothered by it. The house is in a quiet neighborhood. It is close to the road and the airport, but we were not disturbed by noise.
The kitchen was well stocked, there were plenty of towels for use, the bathrooms were in good condition and the ceiling fans were wonderful because there isn't much of a breeze to cool things off.
The couches need replacing they are lumpy and uncomfortable. The front door needs a screen door and one the main sliding door needs a screen door. All of the other screens need replacing. There were either holes in them or were loose. When we arrived, I was greeted by a gecko falling into my face from inside the house. We were also immediately bit by bugs (no see ums) upon entering the house. Once properly bathed in bug spray, we didn't have any other bugs biting us. At night there were a lot of bugs in the house which brought in many, many geckos. The floors were very dirty. We typically remove our shoes but in this house our feet were black from the dirty floors.
The house is a great location, easy to get to Hana and the major sights in the area. The information from the owner for check-in was clear and made it easy to get to the house. If the shortcomings mentioned above are addressed this could be a good choice for the Hana area.

Our only regret was not booking your home for longer than two nights - it truly was like being in paradise. The views from the long balcony are beautiful and the rain was an added bonus! I loved just listening to all of the birds surrounding us. We hope to return someday!

This property felt very remote, but was close to all the things to see in Hana. We stayed here 2 nights and drove back to Kihei. It was expensive, but worth spending a little more time in Hana.

The property itself is beautiful. The house was very nice and clean. The only issue we had is that the house was not well stocked. Very little kitchen utensils and cooking supplies. No basics except salt and pepper, which in a place this remote would be helpful. Only 1 roll each of toilet paper in the bathrooms, etc. Overall it was a nice place, but should be stocked a little more.

Beautiful and quiet area. Was easy to locate. Having a kitchen was great to prepare dishes for event on Saturday afternoon.
Phone service spotty but with wifi access was able to text. Streaming movies at nite was great.

The property was fantastic! The kitchen was HUGE and had helpful notes spread throughout. The outdoor space is great, very quiet and peaceful. We met a very friendly neighbor who gave us great recommendations of where to visit and eat. The homeowner also provides a book with stops along the road we found helpful.
I would suggest planning enough time to drive there before sunset. We stopped at safeway by the airport which worked out perfect for us. We stocked the fridge and the home had everything we needed to prep breakfast before going out on our daily adventures.
Also, the pizza at hana farms is a walk away from this house which is something you don't want to miss! We really enjoyed our time in this house. The check -in and out process was simple and contactless. I highly recommend it!

Lovely place with all the space and amenities for a group of friends and/or a family. They had a stocked kitchen, laundry and even beach chairs. It was perfect for our road to Hana adventures. For the lady that said there was no ocean view, there is one if you stand at the sink in the kitchen. You see it in the distance. The only fault I found was the lack of window coverings in the bedrooms and master bathroom. I know this house is isolated and away from the street, but when 3 women travel we still didn't feel comfortable or safe changing. Overall would stay here again!

Beautiful house tucked away in paradise. Stayed for 2 nights so we could enjoy the Road to Hana. Everything was perfect. The cable TV service had gone out due to a storm but was restored by the time we had got there. Property manager was great to check to see if everything was ok. I would book again.

Two adult couples stayed here for 2 nights allowing us to visit the area before the crowds got up here. A true Hawaiian style home with very modern interior. The rear patio view of the tropical yard is a sight to relax in. Kitchen, living area and master bedroom/bath are very large with high ceilings. (After this home, staying in a typical condo on Maui will seem like a prison cell)

- Laundry is downstairs under the house and is not available every day as it is shared with the house keepers for other properties on the lot. I think it's available most days?

We had a lovely stay at this property. The home is very spacious and worked out extremely well for two couples. Each with their own bedroom and bathroom. We did not cook meals in the unit because it is very close to good places to eat. The unit was very well maintained and clean. I highly recommend it.

Excellent value for money. We are part-time residents (three months per year) in Maui and often include a few days in Hana at VRBO's. Second-floor living qtrs are secure, clean, comfortable; don't be put off by first impression of underneath storage level. WiFi speed was excellent but suggest property manager prepare detailed instructions to operate TV/Cable. No BBQ facilities.

This is a wonderfully located property near to parks and restaurants and all sites you want to see around Hana. The bedrooms are across the house from one another so it’s very quiet. The temperature is perfect and the fans turn sleep into a white noise haven. The kitchen is spacious and great to use to prep food. Hope to rent again when we return!

The house was very spacious. I missed that there was no AC but the evenings cooled down enough to make sleeping not an issue. The overall house is clean however, a deeper cleaning is overdue with the window sills, stove top, and hanging pictures.
Was able to use the washer and dryer after contacting the property manager with no issues.

Honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better landing spot for our two days in Hana. We spent our last two days on Maui at this welcoming home in Hana, after leaving our resort in Kaanapali, and heading to Kauai. The location was so close to everywhere we wanted to go. We had reservations at Wai'ānapanapa and it was perfect. The property was lovely and the accommodations had everything we needed. There are no curtains on the windows so that the light and fresh Hana air can filter through, so keep that in mind at night if you're modest. No A/C needed because of the high ceilings and fans. I loved every minute of our stay. Mahalo.

One request to the property owner: please stock up kitchen with a few more basic condiments. Overall, top of my list for where to stay when visiting Hana again.

This place was great. Had everything you needed with comfortable beds and fully stocked kitchen. Great WiFi, which is nice since no cell service in Hana. Close enough to get to everything you want in Hana, but far enough out from Hana town you feel you are in tropical setting. Very quite nights, which for a city boy like me, can feel a little sketchy, but it was nice.

Nice house near Hana. It was a little larger that what we needed but worked out okay. It was warm in the evenings in September with no air conditioning. It cooled off overnight and we enjoyed listening to the rain on the roof. The kitchen was adequately stocked with tools. The couches in the living room were a little worse for wear. Overall, a nice quiet place to stay for a couple of nights.

We enjoyed our stay. The home was nice but I feel like for what you get you can find better. The home is in ok shape, however for the price I would expect a little more. The home is on the 2nd floor. The under of the house is a mess and you have to enter that way. Do not expect to use the washer or dryer. The location is ok, and directions are clear on how to get there. The home is very cheaply built and not as luxury as it looks. There is no AC and it is hot! I would not stay here again, I think you can do better.

Great property just a little west of town. Private and quiet with a nice big tropical yard and huge lanai (deck/porch) with outdoor table. Inside is a large kitchen and 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Newly updated. The master bath is massive and luxurious with a large shower and separate tub. Would definitely stay here again!

This house was wonderful. The master bath is amazingly luxurious! The house is up on stilts which really helps with decreasing the humidity and the yard scape is lovely. It’s also in an excellent location. This will be our new go to stay in Hana.

This property is in a very rural location, as to be expected with anything on this side of the island. When we pulled up, I was a little suprised to see a couple other houses, but with that being said, we never saw or heard the neighbors (the other houses are hidden by foliage once your at the house). At night it seems like you are the only one for miles (a little eerie if you ask me, but if thats what your looking for, you've found your place). The photos of the property are accurate and it was very clean. The master bedroom and bathroom were very spacious. The deck is gorgeous- its so peacefull. And the kitchen has everything needed to cook besides the food.
As for the food: There are some food trucks close by and a small general store but thats it, so plan accordingly.
On the trip, I highly recommend stopping at "halfway to hana" for bananna bread (literally the best I've ever had). There is also a large roadside stand with fresh fruit close by. The apple banannas are amazing and very reasonably priced.
One small note, the washer and dryer are outside under the deck. I beleive they use them for other properties as well so you might have someone from the cleaning staff stop by while you are there. This did not interfere with our stay one bit. Just thought I'd mention it.

When we came upon the home tucked privately away from the main road surrounded by lush green flora, we were a bit hesitant. The back of the home, where you park your car, is built on stilts and the covered area is rather unsightly. There’s a lot of equipment as well as a washer/dryer that makes the home look a bit trashy. But, there are also beach chairs & bamboo mats which was very helpful as we went to the beach early one morning to watch the sunrise.
That is the only negative thing I have to say about this Vrbo. The inside is fabulous! Super clean, spacious with a wonderful master bathroom. There are clean bath towels & beach towels. The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed. The airflow with the windows open was a relief from the heat & humidity.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at this spacious airy house. It is located just minutes from the Black Sands Beach park and from the Hana Farms stand and restaurant. It took us a few minutes to figure out that the broiler in the oven is at the very bottom and would have liked a dishwasher, but those are minor things compared to the tranquility of the setting. We will definitely stay there again if we have the chance to spend more time in Hana.

This house is pretty much as advertised. The rooms are nicely sized, the layout is open and spacious feeling, and the master bathroom is huge. We enjoyed staying here for 3 nights with friends. The kitchen didn’t have a dishwasher, but was well stocked with all we needed. The bathrooms had shampoo and shower gel, and were nicely updated. Everything seemed very clean, which we appreciated. All in all, this is a great place.
My only rub is that this unit is advertised as having both a washer and dryer.
While there was washer/dryer downstairs under the house, it’s very clearly marked for use by housekeeping and NOT for guest use, unless you call the owners and ask permission. We’ve been on Maui for several weeks, and W/D was a specific amenity I looked for. I did peek inside the machines, and both were full of towels/linens, etc. So this claim felt disingenuous on the listing. Don’t advertise something, and then attach limitations or conditions to the use of said items, which we find out about after arrival.

Can’t say enough about how fabulous this property is! Our 4 adults stayed 5 nights and it was the perfect home base for all things Hana. The beds are comfortable and the master bath is huge! There’s tons of space to spread out and relax. We spent most of our time on the lanai enjoying the beautiful landscaping and stargazing at night. Wifi worked great the entire time. The host was easy to work with and responded quickly. Can’t wait to come back!

The huge kitchen is very clean and has everything you need. We especially loved the covered porch, it is one of the best features of the house. Place was spacious and had great access to Hana. I would recommend staying at least one night in Hana to rest. This place had more than enough space for my family. It is a little tricky to find because I could not see the house number. There was a sign that led me to the house but I wasn’t sure until I tried to get the key.
No light pollution so if you go outside at night and look up you get a beautiful view of the stars. Bring bug spray to try to avoid mosquitos.

Nice property - clean and comfortable. However, there is no AC (which isn't really an issue except midday given the properties high ceilings and fans) and no dishwasher and NO cell service and the power went out a couple of times in the two nights of our stay. Without a landline and given the isolation this was unsettling. To be fair the power was back on in under 15 minutes each time - there was just no way to contact anyone about it or know what was going on and it was pitch black.

The road to Hana was gorgeous, but we didn't know where to stop. After arriving at the property there were books on where to eat, and places to not miss. Only thing is the restaurant names need to be updated as some are no longer there.
Rebecca came and fixed the one issue we had with the electric and we never had an issue afterwards. Just one last note, there is no air conditioning. Just find and the ocean breeze, not a complaint just a note! Overall a fantastic stay!

This house is beautiful, modern, and well-kept; the rooms are very large. The parking area is a large field, but there is lush foliage all around, so that, with the large distances between nearby houses, you don't even know you have neighbors. Our stay was a memorable "Hana experience".

Hana was the end of our “road trip”, and it was a treat to end it in a spacious house surrounded by luxuriant vegetation, far away from the action. We had a lot of plans for Hana, but decided to spend more time on the deck, enjoying the birds and vegetation, with the ever changing sky.

This home was wonderful and so very peaceful. This large comfortable and quiet home was like a vacation from vacation. We spent 3 days in Hana for our active family to explore hikes, swimming holes and sites past Hana. The home was clean, had perfect wifi, large kitchen and we asked ahead of time and we were able to use the laundry. This home is so nice compared to hustle of resort towns on Maui that entail jockeying for pool chairs, elevators, dinner reservations etc. We highly recommend this home and Hana for relaxation!

This was a beautiful home and a really wonderful place to stay. I deducted one star because when I arrived the door was open, beds were unmade and house had not been cleaned. I tried calling the manager and it is a google number that won't ring through so I had to send an email She offered to move us but we did not want to stay anywhere else. Not a good welcome but the place was nice.
