The house sits in the middle of the 4 acres surrounded by lawn, flowers, fruit trees and forest. Guests are welcome to harvest the fruit and flowers. It is very quiet, and on clear nights it is like a bowl of stars turned upside down on our land.
Both bedrooms have top quality beds, luxury linens and tv. Both rooms look out into the magnificent jungle. The bathroom has a bathtub with a shower. The towels are big and soft.
The kitchen literally has everything, all top quality. There is also a charcoal grill on the covered lanai. The eating area is outside on the covered lanai where we have a harvest table. There are stools for the kitchen island also.
The living area inside is super comfortable, also with a tv and wifi. Two of the tv's are smart, netflix included.
Outside in the covered lanai is another living set up with a couch, 2 chairs and ottomans. This is the best place to ponder how lucky you are! A wonderful outdoor shower is on the back of the house, hot and cold water, fun to use!
There are board games and a bocce ball set, dvd's, beach chairs and towels and boogie boards provided. Registration Number: GE-014-730-8544-02, 130090910000, TA-014-730-8544-01

This is our second time staying at this amazing property. It’s quiet and the perfect size for our family of 3. Our favorite part of this property are all the fruit trees and the sound of birds. It’s a little slice of Heaven. We will definitely be back to this Hana getaway house!

This house feels remote but is close to everything in and near Hana. The grounds are beautiful, and the house is comfortable and well equipped. We saw a variety of birds, mongoose and geckos from the lanai/patio. It was a lovely place to sit mornings and evenings to plan and replay the day.

We had a lovely stay in Hana. The property was beautiful and close to some great places to eat. Thank you for a wonderful home away from home.

Lucky you, is actually an understatement. This is a beautiful home with expansive covered porches and a very large beautifully landscaped yard with a jungle feel out back. There is a beautiful Banyon tree next to the side covered sitting area that is a must see. Beautiful, large Bamboo marks the entrance as you turn in the drive. The interior is extremely clean. Making the interior seem brand new. As are the exterior porches and sitting areas. There are two window units that will cool the house down perfectly. Comfortable and efficient furniture, kitchen, bedrooms and beds, bathrooms. You will feel right at home with the sit up. Nothing to complain about. All is well above average. Outstanding. The property is 3 or 4 minutes to the center of the town. But, has a pizza place(awesome vibe and pizza) as soon as you turn left on the Hana Hwy (which is just another 2 lane road..) There is a fruit box at the end of the driveway across street. Bring some dollar bills. It is on the honor system. Also, we were smart enough to lock ourselves out. The property manager answered our call and quickly rectified the situation.

Beautiful, LARGE property . Cozy 2 bedroom home. Adequate kitchen. Probably 8-10 minute drive to Hana. Close to state park (get a reservation). Bring your own blue tooth speaker if you like having music on the porch. I will rent here again and would love to bring my mother to this property. The owners did a great job with this rental - a little sad to leave this morning :) 1 dad and 2 teenagers in our party

We were making our first trip to Hana and had our twin 7 year old boys in tow. Andrea’s property was perfect for us. It was easily accessible and had plenty of room for the four of us. Plus, the grounds around the house were spacious. Amenities were all as described. The location was ideal: right next door to Lava Tubes and 5-10 minutes from the center of Hana. Andrea was responsive to communications, and she provided us a guide with a number of helpful recommendations for our time in Hana. Our only complaint is that we didn’t calendar enough time for Hana! So, we’ll have to plan on a return visit in the future. Thanks for sharing your wonderful home with our family.

Listing, pictures and info on the VRBO sight were enticing and accurate. The cottage is on a large lot just outside of Hana, proper. We were 1/4 mile away from the popular Hana farms pizza place and 1/4 mile off the "road to Hana". The property manger was helpful and responsive to a few questions we had prior to our arrival and we had no complaints or concerns whatsoever. Highly recommended.

My wife and I live on Maui and we love going to Hana for a little recharge. This home was the perfect spot to relax and take in all that Hana has to offer. We will definitely be back. This home has everything that one would need for a vacation and it is very clean. Mahalo.

This is a physically beautiful place to stay. The landscaping is amazing. The house itself is lovely and makes use of outdoor spaces as well as indoor. For example, dining seating indoor is two stools at a counter, but outside on the patio there is both a table & 4 chairs and a picnic table on the patio. No bugs bothered us, so I greatly enjoyed the outdoor spaces. There is no microwave, but we managed to reheat leftovers with the oven. I did not try to do full cooking - way too busy for that! We loved being just down the street from Kahanu Garden and right beside the Lava Tube! We also drove to Haleakala National Park and hiked the Pipiwai trail - such beautiful scenery! I will caution anyone visiting Hana that this town is not highly developed, there are only 2 restaurants that serve food after 5PM, and even the 2 very small grocer stores are closed by 6PM. We ate at each of the 2 restaurants, and then had leftovers the other nights we ate dinner in our VRBO.

We loved outdoor lounging, playing board games, and sharing meals on the lanai next to a gorgeous banyan tree. Location is wonderful. Have breakfast at Hana Bowls at the head of the road - run by great folks. Thank you to host for responsiveness and advice. We hope to return!

what a great idea to spend time in Hana before moving to a more touristy area on Maui! It allowed us to spend more time enjoying the “road to Hana” and we spent half a day hiking at Waianapanapa state park—which is gorgeous!! We love this VRBO situated in the Hana jungle with lush gigantic green flora and fauna all around. Both the inside and outside space are very comfortable and it was an easy walk for delish food at Hana farms roadside stand and pizza. After checking out we continued the loop around the east side of Maui instead of retracing our steps. It is a less-traveled portion with absolutely stunning views! Great communication with owner and property manager of this one of a kind VRBO!

This little cottage was exactly what we were looking for in Hana—quiet, secluded, and extremely comfortable. The kitchen is astonishingly well-stocked; we never ate out once in Hana—we just cooked, which was terrific! Very comfy beds and lovely lounging outdoor areas. Communication with the host was terrific and everything went very smoothly. Highly recommend this gem!

This is a wonderful choice. Cute place, totally updated and well-equipped. This place could be a wonderful role model for VRBO’s anywhere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back when we have the choice. Thanks so much!

There really aren’t words to describe the yard, it is stunning. There are no ocean views from this property but I promise they will not be missed. The indoors has a wonderfully comfortable sofa but the real gem is outdoors on the lanais. The beautiful landscaping is relaxing and provides for plenty of shade and animal watching. The little mongooses that skittered by were constant entertainment.

We drove up a little early and saw property manager finishing up cleaning, doing a thorough job! She was very kind and let me go ahead and put my medical bags in the a/c so we could continue exploring Hana. Go see the lava tube down the road, it’s awesome! The property is GORGEOUS. A fantastic variety of plants producing a lush view. The bamboo entrance is lovely as well. Beds were clean and comfy. A/c in the living room and master bedroom. Bathroom was clean with great water pressure. Refrigerator is huge and has filtered water/ice machine. One recommendation of ours would be to add a coffee maker...especially since there is hardly anywhere to get any! :) thanks for a great stay!

We had the best time here! We just loved Hana and this location was central to many sites. Right next door to the lava tubes and the black sand beach. There were mongoose and birds everywhere. Fruit trees and coconut trees abound! My kids played outside until night time when we sat outside and watched more stars than I have ever seen in my life! Best trip ever!

September 2022
Lovely property with amazing outdoors. The yard and fruit trees are more than beautiful. Location is great, 3 minutes to Black Sand Beach, 2 minutes to Hana farms for breakfast and pizza night on Friday nights, 15 minutes from Koki and Hamoa beaches and Hana bay. There's only AC in one bedroom and the living room AC does not cool down the house well so it was VERY hot during the day. The mattresses and pillows were a bit too firm for our liking. Lots of cooking and condiments accessories. Loved our stay!

August 2022
We absolutely loved this property! Words really can't do the experience justice... The house sits on more than four acres of lush tropical landscaping. The house is cozy and fits in perfectly with the Hana landscape and area. Not fancy, but very comfortable...and relaxing! Who needs the wide screen TVs at the resort, when you can have four acres all to yourself, and just down the street from the best pizza restaurant on Maui. An awesome getaway that our family will always remember!

What a beautiful piece of property in a fantastic location in Hana. It was quiet and peaceful. Just what we were looking for! The outdoor shower is amazing and will now be top of mind as a feature to include in my own house in the future. We will certainly be back. Thank you for allowing us to stay. We are blessed and are thankful for Hana highway memories!

Perfectly peaceful and beautiful property, comfy bed and sheets, down the road from a cute marketplace, coffee shop and the best Pizza in Hawaii. There are mosquitos so be prepared. AC in living room and 1 bedroom only, and not the second one - but the fan was perfectly adequate.

We stayed at Hale Noa for 2 nights in June 2022. We had an amazing experience at the property. Everything is true to the listing and all check in/check out procedures were simple and easy. The location of the property is ideal for an overnight stay near Hana. We had done the Road to Hana once before and had wished we had more time to spend at many of the POIs closer to Hana. This is the way to do it. Stay at Hale Noa and use it as a home base. The property itself is amazing and we really enjoyed walking the property and admiring the flowers and fruit trees on the property. The interior is comfortable and spacious. If you are considering driving the Road to Hana, I highly recommend that you stay a couple of nights at Hale Noa to fully appreciate the beauty and culture of that side of Maui.

We stayed at Hale Noa right before Covid-19 broke loose. Then we waited 823 long days to return again! If you want to really stop all the nonsense and just live Hawaiian, this place is the call. This house is very comfortable but the entire surrounding is even more appealing. Bring a good microphone for your video camera, the countless bird songs and the sound of wind and rain, is incredible here. You seldom hear a vehicle or other person, and geckos talk. Walk next door to the Lava Tube and grab banana bread on the highway. Then just stop thinking, relax and thank God there are places like this and kind people that share it with others. Thank you once again Andrea and Crissy for the change to live here again, even if we only lived here 3 days! : ) We'll be back Lord willing!

The property is so calming. We're so glad we decided to stay four nights. It allowed us to explore further down Hana Road. We left extremely relaxed. The house is extremely comfortable and well equipped. If you have the opportunity to stay, I highly recommend this property. Mahalo.

This was an excellent choice in the Hana area. The property itself was truly breathtaking. Outdoor shower and nice outdoor sitting/dining areas. The only downside was the cleanliness of the house.

This property is amazing and I would recommend a stay for anyone wanting to see Hana. My family of four only stayed on this side of the island two days but wish we could have been able to stay longer. The avocado tree, flowers and assortment of plants were amazing to wake up to. We did not use much from the house as we were out seeking adventures all day but the house seemed fully stocked in the kitchen. The bathroom had plenty of towels as well. The outdoor area is great for listening to the morning birds or relaxing after a long day. Communication with the host was great and hopefully we can make it back for a longer stay in the future.

This place is just beautiful- the grounds, the house, the feel, it was perfect for our family of 4. I loved the Hana area and am so glad we spent a few nights here before rushing about to get back to West Maui. Mahalo! We hope to be back!

We had a wonderful time at this house in Hana. The house was well stocked, well organized and situated off the road a bit. We spent quite a bit of time just exploring the surrounding trees on the acreage. The place seemed new and/or well kept. It has everything you will need. The beds were very comfortable. The outside shower came in handy for rinsing off sand. The large patio and outside dining area were a real bonus. We ate every meal outside, rain or sun. We loved how the ceiling fans worked, quiet too! There are always a few things that need attending to but this place, the only work that needs to be done is to secure the towel racks. I’m certain they are not into studs and only into dry wall. It is rare that we find condo or house rental in such good shape. We stayed at 5 locations during our month on the islands and this was by far the nicest. Really, the only thing I would mention is the toilet. It is a water saving toilet, which is great! But there are other water saving toilets that work better. Other than that small item, we really enjoyed ourselves and would stay here again.

November 2021
This home was surrounded by beautiful lush green on a big private property. The home was very clean, had all the basics for kitchen and bathroom use. Not many properties with AC in Hana and having AC was a necessity for us. AC was amazing in the master bedroom, no AC in the second bedroom however if all the bedroom doors are open, the AC in the living room and master will eventually help cool down the second bedroom. Plenty of outdoor seating, practical outdoor sink, convenient laundry and shower outdoor as well. Property offered beach chairs as well. Given you are in a jungle, ants will surface quickly if food is around, just be very diligent in cleaning up after yourself immediately after eating and keep trash sealed. If you are easily targeted by mosquitos, I advised you to be fully clothed or covered when walking outside on the property and anywhere around Hana for that matter. This home was very conveniently located and was a very short walk to the Lava Tubes, 1 mile to Black Sand Beach and close to the town of Hana.

Wow what a wonderful house. We were instantly blown away with the beautiful home and grounds as we drove up the grass driveway. The place is very private and peaceful. Keep in mind you are on the edge of a dense forest so some bugs may be seen, but this did not bother us. We were very comfortable and this was the perfect location. It is very close to Hana farms which had tasty banana bread/baked goods and a food truck. Definitely recommend!

Pros: perfect spot to make that "road to Hana" trip a bit less taxing. Also great change of pace from "busy" West Maui. We had a great time relaxing on the porch into the evening with gentle breezes and passing showers outside. Beds were comfortable, and beach equipment was handy for excursions. It's about 10 minutes north of Hana, so the Haleakala park is still 40 minutes south. The yard is awesome - cool trees, fresh limes, occasional critters. Cons: if you're skittish about bugs... well, you're basically in a jungle and the bugs don't care that it's a "house." Neither do the geckos, but we enjoyed hearing them (knowing they were tryin' to take care of the bugs for us!) You'll want to keep your food in the fridge. The LR has AC, and one BR has AC the other doesn't; but we managed to cool the whole place between the 2 AC units overnight so that sleeping was OK. The neighborhood definitely looks to be "local" so we were out of place as tourists - at one point we left one of our party behind when we went out via car, and soon after we left a pickup truck pulled into the drive. When they noticed a person still on the porch they backed out and left... a little creepy: could have been an honest mistake (not likely from a local!), or could have been someone checking us out? All in all I'd recommend (we really enjoyed it) but just be aware - this place might not work for picky wives (or husbands.)

This property was stunning and huge. Lots of pretty fruit and floral trees in bloom. Very quiet. The house is nice and cozy. We used the kitchen and grilling equipment often, which was well stocked. Nice to have laundry facilities too. There is one small bathroom and an outdoor shower. Note to future renters to plan accordingly: no microwave, bring your own laundry detergent and dryer sheets. Also there are two air conditioning window units, one in the living room and one in the front bedroom. The back bedroom did not get as cool, but wasn't a problem. Mahalo for sharing your home.

We loved our stay at Hana noa! The outdoor space was amazing. We enjoyed hunting for fruit and watching the lizards. Our recommendation is maybe labeling the base of the trees so we know what plants were looking at 🤗

The house was perfect. Kitchen and outside living room perfect but the real gem is the property!! Very Jurassic. Stunning. Location to all, black sand beach. Done. Food trucks, done. Hana Ranch restaurant, done. Pipiwai trail and 7 sacred pools, done. Bamboo forest and lava tubes, done. Nothing to complain about at all. Mahalo

We booked 2 nights at the cottage and were very pleased with the amenities offered as well as the cleanliness and comfort of the beds and furniture. But our first night's stay was without electricity and the result was a very expensive camp out! We contacted the agent and was told that the power outage was due to a thunder storm which affected a few homes in the area. The power company was working on it, but to no avail, the power outage lasted longer than expected. We decided to checkout and cancelled the second night with the agent who told us she would refer our request of 1 night's reimbursement to the owner. All of our food for the two days that needed refrigeration had to be thrown out! We are still waiting to hear from the owner.

September 2016
Well, where to start. The house and the property are just a bit misrepresented on the site! My wife and I were just blown away with this house and its setting. I don't think that I can relate how beautiful this place was. Plumeria in full bloom, ripe papaya in the sideyard , coconuts falling to the ground in the frontyard, incredible banyan tree steps away from the house. Please follow suggestions from the guidebooks and take a leisurely drive to Hanna and stay here for several nights . There are geckos chirping at night, and mongooses running back and forth, and all of this while you use the charcoal BBQ, or cook in the nicely equipped kitchen. They mention the jetted tub in the house description, forget it. Use the outdoor shower. Its only a small panel attached to a corner of the house. But the water warms quickly, and what a view you have while you shower. The house is just a few minutes drive from "downtown" Hana. It was very quiet here at night, and the sky was filled with beautiful star fields, majestic clouds, and a gorgeous moon. But for all of this don't over look the fact that the house has an air conditioner. We visited while several hurricanes were dissolving into tropical depressions, and the humidity was quite impressive at times. I'm not sure that many people who aren't used to it can sleep comfortably in such conditions. So for us, having a way to cool the house off was a big plus. There are also fans in the house that help with the comfort levels. I hope that all of you who visit this place have a beautiful visit similar to ours. Aloha

This place was perfect! It was very cozy for my husband and I, along with our two small kieki. It was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend. We really enjoyed the large property with all of the fruit trees and flowers. We even walked next door to the lava tubes! The next time we rent a home in Hana, we will be staying at Hale Noa🌺

August 2016
The Hale Noa was outstanding in all aspects. Easy to find just off the Hana Hwy and minutes from town. The property is clean and stocked with all amenities we needed. A special bonus was being able to wake up in the morning and walk around the property grounds, picking fresh papaya, guava, coconut and limes to eat (limes used for our afternoon cocktails). Just up the street was a great banana bread stand and we were even lucky enough to catch the farm to table clay oven pizzeria only open on Fridays and Saturdays. The beach is also just a little over a mile away, so an easy and quick drive. The VRBO pictures really do not do this place justice. We had a wonderful time and I definitely will recommend the Hale Noa to my friends and to everyone searching on vrbo. Thanks again!

August 2016
We stayed for three days with two children. Large, beautiful property. House is very comfortable, very nicely appointed, modern and fully equipped. Everything worked. Great veranda to sit and watch the rainbows or rain. Boogie boards for Hamoa Beach. Chatty geckos. Lava tube next door. The photos do not do it justice. (In fact i was slightly worried it might be a dump -- but the whole family couldn't believe how nice it was when we got there.) Couldn't recommend it more.

What a great place to let the worry's of the world pass you by! This home is out of the way and quiet. We loved everything about it except the mosquitos but what can you say, it rained once or twice while we were there. The bed was comfortable and the small air-conditioner coupled with the ceiling fans kept the house cool. The kitchen had everything to cook your meals which in Hana is a great probability! The living area had a nice couch and comfortable chairs. I couldn't tell you about the entertainment system because this was a disconnect vacation. To be honest, we did use the internet for some texting and voip calling due to a problem at home and it worked well. We have Sprint and were able to only get intermittent signals while driving down the road. The outdoor living area was very nice but we didn't make use of it. The washer and dryer worked well! Meals. We lucked out the first night in Hana and had an artisan pizza at Hana Farms outdoor wood fired oven. The kids working there were very nice and the pizza was awesome! We also were able to catch the Huli Huli Chicken at Koki Beach and it was tasty after a long morning hiking in Haleakala National Park. The other meals were at the house with the groceries we bought in Kahului. We did stop in at the general store to buy coffee and it was well stocked. On the way out of Hana we did get some honor system bananas on the way out of town. Could't beat five bananas for a $1.00! What we did while in Hana: 1. Haleakala NP 2. Black Beach 3. Red Beach. On the road to Hana, we stopped wherever we saw cars and found some great hikes that aren't listed in the guide books. Be sure to read through the notebook for all the information you need. Overall, a spectacular place to stay!

June 2016
The property is very well maintained, inside and out. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought into the amenities. Very cozy but simple retreat. That's all you need! The black sand beach had the best boogy boarding in all of Maui. Loved the location- on the same street at the Botanical Garden. Agree with manager - if you stay here shop for groceries in Paia or Haiku . Groceries in Hana very expensive , We did find a pop up Huli Huli chicken lunch at Hamoa beach run by two women. The best lunch we ever had eating on a bench in front of the crashing ocean. Love Hana!

If ever there was a place on earth that was as beautiful and serene as heaven, then this is the place. We stayed 2 weeks in Maui and only 3 of the days here. If I could go back and do this again, I would have booked this property for longer. It is everything described and more. The location was sublime! Everything was better than perfect. The grounds are so beautifully manicured and the house is fully stocked with everything you will need for cooking in. The outdoor shower was amazing. The furnishings were comfortable and cozy and I felt like I was at home in my own place. The bed was comfortable and pillows were just perfect. The outdoor patio was such a bonus. We spent many hours sitting in the comfortable wicker chase lounges. Oh... and the stars you will see... just incredible! If I am ever blessed to come back to Maui, I would surely stay here again. I can't say enough good things about this place. It far surpassed the Ritz Carlton! If I could give it 10 stars I would! The air conditioner was a bonus as well, although with the breeze through the windows we only turned it on once. (right when we got there because it was a little stuffy until we got the flow of the breeze flowing through.) I miss this place already. Thanks for making my vacation a dream come true!

We stayed at this property for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The lodging options near Hana are pretty limited, and this house should be on your 'short list.' As others have mentioned, the kitchen is modern and very well equipped. The furnishings in the rest of the house are somewhat dated, but everything was comfortable and clean. We appreciated some of the extras that we made use of: beach towels, beach chairs, a Weber BBQ, nice outdoor sitting and eating areas, and bug spray :) . The location is also very good - near the State park, a short drive to town, and next door to the Lava Tubes. All in all, we would stay here again and recommend the house to friends. We know that many people do Hana as a day-trip, but we were happy to have three full days to explore the area.

Note: Vacancy calendar is approximate. Visit the owner/manager's reservation site to verify your dates.
