We loved staying here. We, the grandparents had the loft to ourselves and daughters family downstairs.
Layout was great and lanai was nice to sit outside Kitchen had what we needed but too small for more than one person to work in when fixing meals, but otherwise had everything we needed.
Enjoyed the pool one night but spent most of the time at the beaches.
Perfect location to get where we needed to go and close to all shopping/restaurants.
Easy to get in touch with owners and property manager when needed.

As advertised, well appointed room with lots of fun stuff and beach items to enjoy. Very beautiful veranda with a view, no good A/C to keep everyone comfortable and nicely appointed and equipped unit. Great beaches, restaurants, and shopping within walking distance. Can’t wait to come back and visit again. Exceeded expectations

We had a great time at this property. There was a problem with the payment at the beginning with VRBOs website and Tue owner was kind and patient through it all. She was a very wonderful owner to work with and the property was beautiful! I highly recommend this rental and am so thankful that the owners were easy to work with.

We were extremely happy with our stay at this beautiful property. It’s close to everything you may need & has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Fully stocked kitchen (lots of Tupperware which was nice to bring snacks to the beach), coolers, beach chairs, etc. Plenty of room for our family of 7 to stay comfortably. Great option in a great area!

It was a great location but unfortunately wasn’t what we expected. We had two families with young kids. The master bedroom is an open loft so we weren’t able to put our kids to sleep and then be in the living room as the sounds and lights shine so bright into the bedroom. Even if we were a single family the downstairs bedroom was so far away I don’t think I would have been able to hear if the kids were crying in the night. I think a single family with slightly older kids would work well here or a group where everyone would be going to sleep and waking up at the same time.
The master bed was very comfortable but the second bedroom’s bed wasn’t.
The kitchen had all the tools we needed. Several stores are close by. And the pool was fun. The property managers were quick to respond and fix issues (they had someone there within the hour!).
It was strange that the all the information said check out was at 11 but the owner’s note said we had to check out by 10.

The property and location was amazing! Very comfortable for my family of 7. The price was within our budget compared to most. For a family of our size, price was one of the driving factors and this property not only was reasonable but so worth it on every level. So glad we found it. We were so appreciative of all the gear, beach chairs, towels, coolers etc. This as well, help tremendously with the costs. Grateful for places like this that can make our dreams, reality. Would recommend property to anyone, and would definitely come again. Thank you!

We were 7 people but house still felt spacious, Beds are comfortable, plenty of towels and some snorkeling gear and even couple of life jackets were available. House is nicely decorated without feeling cluttered, A/Cs were nice and cold. Overall our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable would love to visit again.

I found the unit to be very comfortable and spacious. Decent views of the mountains to the northwest which were particularly majestic in the light of the rising and setting sun. This was only my second experience with a Vrbo property; I appreciated the allowance for an early checkin and found communicating with the host easy, but found checking in and out with both the local reception and the host to be a little annoying, but I don’t know if both a host and local reception is common.

After an initial cancel in 2020 due to COVID, we were finally able to make it to Maui. The property and location were fantastic. Property owner was incredibly patient and easy to work with as we worked through the initial cancelation and then rebooking process. We all had a great experience.

Enjoyed this condo thoroughly.. Within walking distance to the beach with sand and sunsets, close to food choices, and easy access to the bypass if needed due to traffic. Clean and thoughtfully furnished and stocked. Do keep in mind that one bedroom is upstairs via a circular stairway that some might have difficulty navigating. Resort is well maintained and enjoyable. I was a tad put off by the myriad of instruction signs throughout the condo but do realize that not everyone may be as traveled nor as conscientious about taking care of others property, so I give that a pass. All in all a nice way to enjoy Maui.

Overall we had a good time at this condo at Kam Sands. Communication and booking was smooth and easy. Check-in was simple and quick.
First impression of the condo was that it was quite dirty. Coffee splashed all over the kitchen cabinets, filthy bathroom doors, crumbs and dirt in the clean dish drawers. However, I let my kids and family relax while I did a couple hours of cleaning and then we were good to go!
Upstairs bed was very comfortable, bathroom was nice. Downstairs bed was hard and squeaky- needs a new mattress. Plenty of comfortable clean bedding.
AC worked great for the beginning of the trip but then quit altogether. Called Maui Condo for help but the technician didn’t call back or show up. Had the last couple days without AC. Lots of fans, tho, so we managed.
If you’re staying here make sure to turn the fridge to the lowest level, we lost all our vegetables because they froze- twice- and the fridge was not even half full.
Kitchen had tons of dishes (54+ plates!!) but not enough casserole dishes or food storage (Tupperware). If you like to cook and have leftovers, it’s a problem.
Location is perfect. Kam beaches are great for families, pool and hot tubs were fun, and the BBQ areas were great places to gather. I would definitely come back to Kam Sands, but would try a different unit next time.

Resort is very nice, very well taken care of beautiful grounds and pool area. Staff friendly and helpful. The condo was very well set up for our group of six with great indoor and outdoor seating for all six nice of us. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely consider coming back to the same property again.

My son and daughter in law stayed in this unit (we rented several condos at Kamaole sands) with the grandkids. Well stocked and even being the building towards the back was still close to the beach, even closer to the pool and other amenities. Well stocked and comfy accommodations. Highly recommend

This place was just minutes walk from the ocean, beautiful waves, beautiful sand. You can get right into the water, either play in the surf, or do some snorkeling. Saw some turtles in the same area, also a bunch of fish. The pool felt great, the Adult hot tub could of been hotter but that's up to management not this condo we stayed in. The condo was clean and lots of space for all 8 of us. Thank you

Air conditioning units did not keep up with our needs. If you need to be cool when sleeping, front bedroom is the coolest.
Nice amenities (kids loved the boogie boards!) although facilities are dated (washer/dryer, etc)
Management closed at 5 so we couldn’t reach them because we were out of service during the day for our stay, but they were responsive to voicemail.

We had a family/friends stay and had a great time. The condo is in a great location next to one of the best beaches in S/W Maui. The view was nice from the back patio. Property grounds were beautifully landscaped and it was nice and quiet (from inside we never heard another neighbor). Nice BBQ areas and security was friendly. Right next to great food and shopping.
The only negative was that the cleanliness was slightly lacking, however the owner may not be aware of the cleanings between visitors. Nothing major but not quite 5 stars for cleanliness.
Overall we had an amazing time on our stay in Maui and would absolutely stay here again.

This condo is in an amazing location. The air conditioning was amazing. My kids loved the walking paths and the pool. Our favorite beaches are within 15 minutes. We would definitely recommend this location for couples or families like ours.

There are plenty of other condos/places in the area that you can probably find a better fit for your family or friends vacation. Unfortunately, overall this was probably the worst set up/total experience I have ever been in and sadly I brought my family here for the start of our vacation. Good news was the vacation only got better after our stay here. There was very poor communication and guidance as we entered a dirty room. I really was looking for a reason to give this place a better review until I received a unprofessional response from all ends on how our arrival and check in was handled. I travel constantly for work and have been in some rough situations but was very caught off guard by the lack of professionalism. The surrounding area was ok but a definitely affected by the last few years. We loved Maui, just not our time here.

This property is close to my favorite areas on the islands (Kihei, Makena, etc.). The beach is right across the street, and there are 3 great beaches all within (very short) walking distance. There are a lot of good restaurants and shops just down the road (also walkable).
The room itself is big and has plenty of space for a large group (2 rooms, couches, fold outs, etc.). The overall property is beautiful with a wonderful pool and bbqs for cooking (although the kitchen has everything you need).
The owners showed us amazing hospitality, and were very kind and gracious to us.
Definitely recommend this place for groups, it has everything you could want (including extras like chairs, snorkels and other beach equipment to save $ from renting).

Couldn’t use AC units because they were extremely dirty and made everyone sick. Condo was not very clean. Says it accommodates 8 people but not very comfortably. Mattresses need replaced and sofa couch is extremely uncomfortable. Says it’s 2 bedrooms but it’s one bedroom and an open loft. Very small kitchen and minimal storage space. We had to request bath and beach towels for 8 people. They were delivered within one day or so. It was a great location with nice views and amenities just wasn’t clean or as big as anticipated.

Initially thought everything was great, 4 ladies 45yrs or older. Then 5 days after checking out $200 damage fee. I messaged owner about slats on door as soon as we found it. Old sofas and saying we stained one(pink stain) only liquids sprite, tea or dr pepper and no of these are pink which is what I was told the stain was. If you stay here take pics and document everything. Just have to wonder is this normal practice????
