DUE TO THE UNCERTAINTY OF TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS, GOVERNMENT MANDATES, AND CHANGING RECOMMENDATIONS BY HEALTH PROFESSIONALS ASSOCIATED WITH THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, WE OFFER THE FOLLOWING CANCELLATION POLICY WHICH SUPERSEDES OUR STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY: Per Hawaiian mandate, travelers to Hawaii with a negative COVID test prior to their flight can avoid a 10 day quarantine. Visit Hawaii's Safe Travel's website @ https://travel.hawaii.gov/#/ for specific details. Should a guest be unable to travel due to a positive COVID test, their payment may be applied towards a credit for a future stay. In the event that the state of Hawaii locks down and a mandatory quarantine is re-instated, guests can chose either a full refund, or the option to apply their payment towards a future stay. Standard Cancellation Policy: If Guest decides to cancel his/her reservation, the deposits will be refunded as follows: 100% if cancelled 60 days prior to the Check-in Date. 0% if cancelled 59 days or less prior to the Check-in Date. In this event, we will make every reasonable effort to re-list and re-rent the premises. If the premises are successfully re-rented, we will refund the amounts of rent subsequently received up to the full rental amount of your deposits less any service or credit card fees due to VRBO. If you are booking for summer/fall of 2021 we suggest you use Costco Travel to find the best rate for a rental car. We also suggest you book any activities (eg Luaus, Boat excursions) ASAP as they are difficult to find due to Covid restrictions. Our home is one unit back from ocean front, with commanding views of the Pacific Ocean and island of Lanai to the west. The beautiful West Maui Mountains are seen looking east from the spacious 213 square foot deck. Completely remodeled in 2014 with Sub-Zero refrigerator, filtered water system, and all new appliances. Gorgeous granite countertops, high-end cabinets, travertine floors and new lighting. Enjoy ocean views from living room area and the bedroom. The bedroom features a king sized bed with new, firm mattress. The living room couch features a pull out couch bed with a new "memory foam" mattress. A queen sized Aerobed is also available. Large screen TV with free cable available in both living room and bedroom. Free Wifi throughout. Free washer/dryers are located on each floor near the elevators. We provide the laundry soap and fabric softener pads. The Whaler, one of only two premier condominium resorts on Kaanapali Beach, boasts impressive amenities that include a concierge, bellman, newly remolded pool and hot tub, spacious newly remodeled lobby, fully equipped fitness center, newly refinished tennis courts, business center, salon and spa as well as gas barbecues with ocean views. The Royal Kaanapali golf course (36 holes) is a short walk across the street We are located adjacent to Whaler's Village which features dozens of shops, 3 excellent beachside restaurants, a food court, and a whale museum. Kaanapali Beach is yearly rated one of the top 10 rated beaches worldwide. You are closer to the beach at the Whaler than any other condominium. You will be treated to views of whales (November - April), dolphins, turtles and exquisite Hawaiian sunsets. Enjoy outstanding views of the island of Lanai, Molakai, Kaanapali Beach, the Pacific ocean, and the West Maui Mountains. Wonderful snorkeling is available in front of your condo or steps away at famous Blackrock on Kaanapali Beach. Surfing, paddle boarding, boogie boarding, kayaking, swimming, hiking, biking, it is all here. Watch catamarans come and go daily from your lanai, heading out for whale/dolphin watch, snorkeling, or sunset cruises. Nearby Lahaina Town, a historic whaling village, located a few miles away by car or via bus, has additional indoor/outdoor fine dining, museums, art galleries, shops, a marina, and the historic Banyan tree. A drive to Hana, or to Haleakala Volcano are both great options if you want time away from the beach. Quaint Paia is a great town to visit with art galleries, surf shops and restaurants. There is great wind surfing nearby. Upcountry Makawao and Kula offer a great change of terrain with some sweeping views. Makawao is a great little eclectic town with art shops and restaurants, surrounded by ranches and Hawaiian cowboys! There is an additional "Resort Fee" of $25.00/night charged by The Whaler Resort Complex. This fee covers parking, use of pool and facilities (24 hour front desk staff, work out room, pool, tennis, barbecues), plus free beach chairs, and free beach towel replacement "on demand" daily. You can also rent private beach cabana's for your daily use. The above mentioned resort fee is not part of our rent. It is a separate fee collected by the Whaler Resort and is collected by the front desk staff as you check out. End of stay cleaning fee $145.00.
