Nice unit and location. Thankfully we came the first week of November so having no AC was not a problem. If it had been summer it would have been miserable. I encouraged owner to update their VRBO add about the AC.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment during our week long vacation in Maui. The apartment was clean and neat when we checked in, with a fully equipped kitchen and laundry access. The balcony opens up to an amazing view of the ocean, and we got alot of cool breeze throughout the day, so totally fine without AC. The location is perfect for us, with easy access to plenty of snorkling spots. Food and grocery are also close by. Hosts, Lisa and Richard were very helpful with providing useful information before we travelled. Definitely a recommended stay for couple/family with a young child. Thank you!

The view from our window 3rd floor is beautiful! Very serene. The room was good, clean, spacious, great kitchen. Had trouble getting the key from lockbox, hard to open. Grounds beautiful; no activities; had problem with person communication; done by online mostly. For seniors kinda hard.
But we still enjoyed our stay there.

The views from the Lani are always pleasant and we enjoy eating our meals their. This property is noisey one due to the outside maintenance that is being done and the other having to have the windows open in the bedroom for cross ventilation and it backs to another property and busy road, You do get to hear the waves coming on shore which is nice. Most units have no air-conditioning but the complex and location are what bring us back each year.

This unit was clean and comfortable. Good quality and comfortable bed and we enjoyed the comfortable furniture especially on the lani. We ate all of our meals on the lani enjoying the great view and even after dark we enjoyed it for reading thanks to the overhead lights. The kitchen is well stocked. The only negative would be to have some kitchen and bathroom cleaning supplies so we could keep it as clean as it was when we arrived. We recommend this unit for future stays.

This was our second stay at the property and we enjoyed our time yet again. When we landed at 7PM, we did receive a text that the property was not yet cleaned but would be by 9PM. It wasn't a big issue for us as we had to still get our rental car, grab dinner and do some grocery shopping. Everything was completed prior to our arrival at the property.
This place if perfect for our family with 2 children. Our kids love the pool and whale/turtle watching for the the huge deck on the grounds. Also, a huge plus that there are beach chairs, umbrellas, a cooler and boogie board.

Easy check-in. View as advertised, enjoyed sleeping with the sound of the ocean, comfortable mattress. Unit was perfect for 2 adults, bathroom & kitchen are small. A few maintenance issues in the unit that owners are going to work on. Dripping facet was really annoying for a month. Owners are easy to communicate with, added the golf channel & new router which was appreciated. The complex is quiet & well maintained. We would certainly stay again.

My husband and our two sons, ages 10 and 8, stayed here recently and had a great time. Everything was as described in the listing - although I don't think the photos do the unit justice. Overall it's a good value - nothing fancy but it worked just fine for us.
The only thing we didn't love was the really cold pool. Even my sons who are polar bears didn't enjoy swimming in it. However, the beaches in Hawaii are where it's at anyway so it was no big deal about the pool.
The owners are responsive and provide easy instructions for accessing the unit. Overall a very good stay and value. Mahalo!

The condo was really nice with a good view. The king size bed very comfortable. We were surprised it didn’t have a/c but it really wasn’t needed except from maybe 3-5:30pm. The ocean looked beautiful below us but unfortunately it was unusable due to rocks and rough seas so we drove to the public beach to use. We saw a lot of turtles at the public beach.

This is the 3rd time we have rented from Dick and Lisa and this time we booked 11 nights.. The condo is beautiful and well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The view is excellent and the sunsets are spectacular. The turtles came in to feed on the reef right in front of the complex daily. Dick and Lisa are excellent hosts and quick to respond with answers to any questions. We hope to be back soon!

We loved our stay here! Stayed for a week and loved relaxing on the patio with coffee in the morning and for sunsets in the evening. Condo was comfortable and had everything we needed. We didn’t have a car, but the Maui bus line runs right next to the condo and can take you pretty much anywhere worth going on the island.

We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful view of the ocean from the lanai, very clean, well stocked with all the essentials. Dishwasher and garbage disposal were nice to have. Very easy to communicate with owners. Loved how there was snorkel gear and beach accessories. Saw sea turtles right on the sun deck every day. May need to invest with a new bed and sofa. We loved it! 🏝🌺

From the moment we stepped in the condo it was so much more than we expected. They provide snorkel gear, 2 Tommy Bahama beach chairs, ice chest, boogie boards & sand toys. The unit was very clean and decorated with an island touch. We will most definitely stay again. Lisa was available to answer any questions. Amazing property & very peaceful.

Condo #303 was amazing! We were welcomed to a clean, updated condo. Plenty of linens and pillows made the pull out couch comfortable for my girls. The condo has an amazing view of the pool and ocean. In the evening, we were surprised to see half a dozen sea turtles eating algae on the rocks! My daughter got to swim with them, it was amazing. The condo is comfortable during the night time, but once the sun rises the condo warms up quickly with no AC. The kitchen is nice, however, there is not an oven. #303 had an outdoor closet full of beach items (beach chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear, noodles, and an ICE CHEST *life saver*) Check in was made easy by the keypad on the door! Lisa was also nice enough to let us check out a little early due to our late flight. We will be back to Hale Ono Loa!!! Thanks!

We had a great ocean view! The pool area was great and so was the beach! The beach area was only a few feet away which made it easy to enjoy every day. Lastly, the condo was clean and updated. We will defiantly be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay! ;)

We really enjoyed our stay at Hale Ono Loa!! The condo had everything we needed. The kitchen is well stocked. The view from the Lanai is fabulous! I'm missing it already. It quickly became our home away from home. The bed was comfortable (which is unusual for me). The pool and grounds are lovely.
We could see sea turtles by walking to the end of the hallway!! We also saw whale spouts from our lanai one morning. We enjoyed meeting Dick and Lisa who happened to be there when we were. Such a friendly couple!!
I would go back to this condo again and recommend it to friends and family!! Thank you for a wonderful holiday!!

This is a lovely condo complex with excellent tenants and on site manager (Greg). The grounds are beautiful with a top notch ocean view. The pool is well maintained with gas grills and lawn chairs. The condo is well decorated and stocked with all the comforts of home. The view of Lana'i from the condo are superb and the sunsets are perfect. Lisa and Dick to a great job of providing information about Maui and the condo before you arrive, they've also prepare a welcoming book with places to see and things to do on your visit. The CD the Road 2 Hana was a nice touch as we made our journey. Boogie boards, snorkel gear, coolers, beach towels and beach chairs are all provided. The location is near all the hustle and bustle of Lahania, but far enough away to feel like you're really on vacation. It is tough to make this place better, I would suggest maybe a screen door for the main entry. I'd also recommend "S" Curves in the guide book as a great surfing beach. Other than that, we had a great time and look forward to our next visit.

Thank you Lisa and Richard for this wonderful condo! Ocean breezes and views from this condo are amazing. You could watch the whales from the lanai and the ocean breezes kept the place cool. We loved the pool at this complex. Larger and ranged from 3 to 9 feet in depth. Condo was great for a family of 4 with the two younger kids on the pull out couch. We appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella for our visits to the beaches. We love this side of the island and will certainly look to stay here again.
