Location: very convenient for everything. Free parking: the deciding factor in choosing this unit, so we had freedom to explore the entire island as planned. The check-in and –out process, the pre-arrival instructions: easy to follow.
Bedroom: King bed is comfortable but be mindful of not being tripped by its leg at a very awkward corner. Kitchen: well equipped with plenty of dishes, utensils, pots and pans, an electric kettle. Bathroom: plenty of towels of adequate quality; other necessities: adequate in quality and quantity. Furniture is old but in working condition, not a problem. Very nice to have ample closet space, many hangers, and drawers. In-suit washer and dryer: easy to use, a great feature.
To be improved: The unit needs updating or even some remodeling. The kitchen faucet needs replacing. The bathroom, albeit adequate in size and function, feels like in a motel in terms of its constructional details such as moldings and caulking. The shower head and/or faucet in the tub that drips all the time needs replacing. Replace the big corner cabinet in the bedroom, a potential liability. Not a big issue: We were just surprised to find a popcorn (asbestos) ceiling, popular about 50 years ago.

The descriptions and pictures depict the condo perfectly. We enjoyed every morning and evening on the lanai, which you had a straight on view of the ocean to our surprise. Beach chair were a nice bonus, and we added a boogie board to the next guest. A couple of annoying maintenance issues. The front large element on the stove did not work along with the outlet you would use to charge your devices. Also, you might want to watch your toes when walking around the bed. We finally laid a blank around the legs of the bed to soften the impact to our toes. Otherwise, we could not be happier with our experience. The residence were nice and used the patio. The pool was under construction during our stay, which we were aware it would be closed when we booked. I would recommend to all my friends.

A quaint place in a great location! I walked just about everywhere. The staff were great especially Peter at the front desk. My only complaint is that the spa/sauna and pool were not available during the time of my stay. I'll definitely be returning :)

The couch needs an upgrade. Other than that no complaints. Everything was good including the egresses from the building to downtown and movies out of town. This is why we came to Oahu for a visit. Kauai has no movie theater. Can you believe it?

Condo location was great, an easy walk to the main strip. Great ABC market just across the street. Condo has everything listed in the ad. The main bedroom was comfortable but the sofa bed was a little uncomfortable for an adult, ended up just sleeping on the sofa. Sofa bed is okay probably for a youngster. Condo size is a bit small for four adults. Overall it’s a nice place and safe and secure.

This unit was just as described from the listing and it was perfect for the week I booked it. Bonus was in unit washer and dryer plus one assigned parking spot included. Very secure building, market across the street for any last minute food items, awesome view of the pacific. The king size bed was very comfortable, felt like the Ritz Carlton in my opinion. Complete kitchen with all cookware you may need. I would definitely book this unit in the future.

The best part was the view of the sea from the living room. The indoor pool was good. The house was fully equipped with cooking utensils. It is a walking distance to Waikiki Beach. The manager kindly solved the problem when I needed help. One downside was the hair dryer was not good.

We had a wonderful stay at the Captain Cook
Four Paddle. Location was a couple short blocks from the beach, amenities included beach chairs and umbrellas (nice touch), close to all the restaurants/entertainment, the room was very comfortable, and parking spot was super easy to find. Highly recommend!!

This property is in need of a deep cleaning and update. the regular weekly cleaning was done properly however the apartment need painting (walls are dirty and ceiling has grease stain) and it could use updating (older bath tub). The glasses and utensils were lacking. That being said all the appliances were in good working condition. I could not recommend it as is. Location is awesome and the view is great. The property manager was very professional.

I really liked the location of this vrbo rental. It was close to waikiki beach and also to all the main shops. The bed was comfy, we had enough space and it was clean. Communication with the property manager was also very good. We were able to check in at 1 pm, that was excellent. Highly recommend.

We had a great time in 1606. My kids referred to it as their "Hawaii House." Only complaints are a new set of cutlery is desperately needed (there were only 3 spoons) and a few more kitchen towels would be nice. Will definitely stay here again!

Waooo this apartment is amazing, simply amazing. The apartment is located in the best area, near of every things. In from of the apartment you can see one of the best hotel The Ritz Carton. The check-in and check-out is very simple. the apartment has everything that you need (all). certainly Captain Cook Resorts is an extraordinary Host, they responded ASP all the time. The view of the apartment is extremely beautiful. the breakfast at the balcony wish this view doesn't have price . the building of the apartment is very good and clean, and good attention of the receptionist. Definitely if you want a good apartment in Hawai (in the best location), you have to stay on this apartment. I will stay here all time that I travel to Hawai. The beach from the apartment is around 7 or 10 minutes waking. Thanks Captain Cook Resorts.

This building is away from most of the bustle of Waikiki, and not that close to the beach. But there is still a view, and a pleasant park between you and the beach. The four paddle is small, and doesn’t feel as touristy as other places I’ve stayed. The unit was a bit run-down feeling, though the shower was good, and there was a dishwasher. However, there weren’t enough plates and other dishes to build up a good dishwasher load.

Close to hustle and bustle of waikiki, beach is 10-15min walk, condo is quiet, cleanliness is acceptable, internet is not super stable and needs frequent reboots. Didnt get to use pool as it was under renos. But overall a good no frills condo in good area of Wakkiki

My husband and two teen boys stayed in this rental for 6 nights. It was PERFECT! We had plenty of rooom for all 4 of us. There were beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards in the closet. Laundy and a well-stocked kitchen. The view was by far the best part of the rental. The parking spot available to us was a life saver too! Overall I would stay here anytime I'm on island.

Everything you may need in the condo is provided for you and Captain Cook property is honest with whatever detail you may need about the property. Given me a good price considering it’s location. The location is really good - the views are much better than the pics! You won't regret that part at all. It's amazing waking up to some ocean views. It was a bit disappointing that the lanai and pool/jacuzzi were restricted during our stay, but that was because of building maintenance and not the fault of the host, and the host alerted us to these changes right away. There were some other minor inconveniences, which normally would be super minor to mention, but when you've traveled 18-24 hrs, problems like during check-in would be the last thing you'd like. We were told that someone would let us into the building and into our room, but no one was at the front desk for 20-30 min when we first arrived, so we waited outside for a while until security went back to the front desk. Our key fob was also randomly canceled in the middle of our 5-night stay, I think because the building management meant to cancel another room's key fobs and accidentally canceled ours instead. Also, found a roach on the last night of our stay, and alerted the host via AirBnB message. Good thing we didn't encounter any other roaches earlier in our stay, or we would've been paranoid the whole time. I do understand that property management (Captain Cook) is separate from the building management itself, but some problems kind of arise from that, since they need to communicate with each other - although from my experience, the Captain Cook people on AirBnB (host) and on-site property manager from Captain Cook responded in a timely manner. Overall, pretty good stay and really awesome location. Just kind of wish those multiple minor inconveniences weren't there to make it a perfect stay.

It was perfect the location was great 10 min walk to beach, the room had a view of the ocean, It had all the amenities you could ask for the balcony was great. I will come back again. I work for Hilton and had many choices of where to stay his visit. In the futureI will stay there on my next visit if it is available

Have stayed at several locations in the Four Paddle, always a great stay and location. This was my first stay at Unit #1606. My one recommendation would be that the owner should get a new mattress. Also the dryer is out of line and is very loud I noticed. However overall had a wonderful stay.

handy for us. We've stayed with Captain Cooks people three times now and will do so again. Barb Sanderson helped us this time and again was informative. Our two problems, minor ones was the ice maker didn't work after first tray of cubes came out and we couldn't get sofa bed to open up for us. Neither was really a problem, just wanted you to know this. We will return and use Captain Cooks people again. Thank you for Hawai'is hospitality and beautiful people. We always feel at home. Vera

The ice maker is operational, when there is a lot of ice in the bucket, this lever gets pushed up. When it is in the "up" position, it essentially turns off the ice maker. the lever just needed to be pushed in the "down" position to make more ice.
We would have been happy to come to instruct on the ice maker and open the sofa bed, if the guest would have called us.
