My partner and I stayed at this place and it was exactly as advertised. The house is well built and open and airy, with all of the kitchen amenities you will need (and then some). The attention to detail is great and the communication with the manager/owner was just the right amount and so easy. Definitely recommend staying here in this beautiful house, with perfectly ripe avocados dropping in your yard every couple of hours, and close proximity to some of the best nature and food that Hana has to offer.

Perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Great location. Beautiful house with an amazing very well-stocked kitchen. Surrounded by lush gardens and birds chirping. Great views and getting to listen to the waves overnight was an unexpected bonus. Very easy arrival process. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Being tucked away in the back of the property provides complete privacy. Lovely to come into the house already aired out with windows open, fans blowing and Hawaiian music playing. Very clean, would love to stay again.

We stayed for 3 nights. It was a beautiful property. Really glad that we stayed in January, any other time of year would have probably been too warm to be comfortable since there is no air-conditioning. There are a lot of fans and we really enjoyed cooking in the big kitchen while our friends sat at the bar. Downsides include hard mattresses, hard chairs and not very comfortable couches. It is a beautiful location and really one of the only places we could find in Hana with 2 bedrooms.

The House has lots of charm, Location was perfect. The management team are very helpful when we were booking. While visiting, we needed only to call the first number provided to let them know we were leaving early in the morning and they answered right away. You will enjoy your visit here.

We loved our 3 night stay at the Hana Guest House. We highly recommend this if you want a break from the touristy bustle of the west coast of Maui and want to spend some relaxing time in the rainforest. Grounds are beautiful with lots of fruit trees. Lots to do in the house and nearby. Would come back for sure!

This charming guest house exceeded our expectations! Tucked away off the road at the back of the property, we had plenty of privacy to enjoy the lush beauty of Hana and the surrounding area. The house was clean, well stocked, and had a chill vibe that was just what we were looking for. The house is just outside of the town but very accessible to it. The owner clearly cares for the house and was responsive and helpful. We would highly recommend this accommodation and would love to return!

Hana is magical and for me real Hawaii is not rows of condos with hordes of people. Staying at Hana Manu is what I want to experience while being in Hawaii - the real Hawaii without being contrived. "It's the real deal'!

Hale Manu was a beautiful place to stay in Hana. The property was beautiful and lush. The spacious lanai was amazing. We did get a morning visit from one of the neighborhood dogs -which we loved- he was very sweet (and looked well fed!). The house itself was just as pictured.
We really enjoyed spending a few days in Hana to take in all of the amazing sights along the Hana highway. Mahalo for offering such an amazing place to stay!

Property is a two bedroom plantation style home with a deck/lanai with the ocean and the distance. We enjoyed spotting whales and enjoying birds singing all around us. Great location close to Venus pool. Nice kitchen and good communication with Ra the property manager.

Property is really beautiful, and the home is well maintained. This is a true Hawaiian bungalow and it was exactly what we wanted. You are in a lush and tropical area of Maui, so if geckos bother you, this is not the place for you. Beautiful orchids growing outside. We would definitely want to stay there again if we return.

All the comforts you would hope for while placing you close to the best beaches and hiking trails. Quiet with the right amount of birds singing. Quick WiFi allows the streaming of your favorite Hawaiian music. Great place.

I was made to feel so welcome at Hale Manu. It is secluded, quite, convenient to Hana and things to see and do in the area, and the house was incredibly clean. Everything needed for my stay, and more, was provided. Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the guest house in Hana. The location was perfect - close enough to town and great beaches, but still very quiet and tucked away. The house was comfortable with all necessary amenities and kitchen was well stocked. The local recommendations provided by our host were very helpful. Thai by Pranee was a big hit, and we only wish to have discovered Hamoa beach earlier in the trip - a beautiful and quiet spot, especially in the morning, great for snorkeling

My husband and I decided to stay 3 nights near Hana in order to fully experience everything in the area and we could not be happier with our stay at Hale Manu! We were incredibly happy with the accommodations-we had plenty of space and loved keeping the windows open and feeling the breeze through the house. We spent every morning and evening on the lanai watching sunrise and the stars. The kitchen included everything we could have possibly needed. The location was very convenient for many local spots including the southern entrance of Haleakala National Park, Black Sand Beach, Hamoa Beach, Venus Pools, and more. We would highly recommend Hale Manu for your trip to Maui!

The house had a very large kitchen, which made it possible for several people to work on food prep. It was very quiet and peaceful. Loved having the windows open 24/7. A bath mat in the shower would be good to add for safety. Also, putting small rugs on top of larger ones made tripping an issue. We collected the small rugs and set them aside during the visit. Great location. Would definitely book this house again.

Loved this place- got to all the hikes before the masses. Farmers market in Hana was nice. Did the lava tube, Venus pool and of course the hike through the bamboo forest to the water fall…! Thanks for sharing your wonderful location with us!!!

First off, if you are going to do all the hard work to get to Hana do yourself a favor stay at the Hāna-Maui Resort. Secondly, I might have missed this, but there is no air conditioning in the house. Now the really bad stuff starts...
The second bedroom was infested with bugs. When I called the owner/caretaker they acknowledged that they were already aware of this problem (it would have been nice to know). I assume their response will be it's Hana. Ok then, tell me about this inconvenience before I book the house. We had to move the mattress out of the bedroom and into the living room floor.
Finally, here's the real kicker, I'm actually a very reasonable guy, and when the owner/caretaker told me they were going to refund me for one of the nights I figured no harm no foul. They lied, I never got the refund.

A perfect cottage to vacation in Maui!
Everything you could possibly imagine and more! Location for what we were looking to do was great! Contact with the host was excellent. If I ever make it back to Maui I would definitely stay here again!

The house is in a beautiful setting . A few things need updating :
The refrigerator had a broken shelf when we arrive . It was struggling to stay cold and ice was a once a day buy.
The furniture is old and unstable .
There is a swarm of carpenter ants on the kitchen ceiling every evening
Otherwise it is a very nice house with lots of little conveniences ; in the kitchen and throughout . We enjoyed our stay and think by paying attention to the former issues would have made it seam less.
