We had a wonderful time at Chris and Howard’s condo. It was the most well-stocked rental we’ve ever stayed in and is in a perfect location. Wailea Ekahi complex has it all. We’ve stayed in a few other condos in the same complex before and have never been disappointed. This condo was no different. It was the perfect size for our family of 5, with room for a couple more as well if needed. We had a large group of us, around 30 family members, staying throughout the Ekahi complex as well for the Thanksgiving holiday. The condo had all the amenities that we needed for an amazing stay. The proximity to the ocean and the main pool is tough to beat. And hearing the waves from the main bedroom...magical. Beds, chairs and couch were all very comfy. The condo could use a good deep clean (grout, shower head, fridge) and some updating in the lighting (some were on the dim side, switches needs some fixing and one lanai had no light) but was perfectly livable and by no means a deal breaker. Clean linens and towels. And all the beach accessories were in great condition, that wagon came in handy on our frequent trips down to the beach. Speaking of the beach, Keawakapu beach is by far our favorite in all of Maui. The barely 1 min walk to the beach and main pool & pavilion is unbeatable. Thank you for giving us a comfy stay for an amazing, once in a lifetime family trip!

This unit's location is excellent. It is just steps from a quiet pool, BBQ's and the nearby beach. The large covered patio was surrounded by lush tropical plants and we enjoyed watching the cardinals that nested nearby. In the mornings, we would open the well-located sliding doors in the unit to let in a gentle cool breeze. The bed in the master bedroom was quite comfortable. And, the owner is very responsive when maintenance issues arose during our one month stay. The maintenance folks at the condo complex were prompt, friendly, and quickly resolved problems with the AC, garbage disposal, failed door knob that kept the door locked trapping our grandson in the bathroom, and a inoperative dishwasher on our last day. The mattresses on the pullout bed and queen bed in the large bedroom really need replaced as they were quite uncomfortable.

Our family vacationed regularly at Ekahi Village from when our children were very young to when the graduated from college. It had been quite a long time, and we all wanted to go back. We didn’t think Ekahi could accommodate our group of 5 adults and 2 young children. Then we found 20C and it met our needs perfectly. Ground floor was a plus. The A/C throughout was wonderful. There was even a portable crib for the youngest. The grassy area outside was a great playground for those times between beach and pool visits. Ekahi can’t be beat, and we were so happy to find this unit.

We loved the location of this place and the space/layout in the condo is great. There are no ocean views from it, but it's a good location, close to the pickle ball court, the pavilion and main pool, and the beach. The place needs a deep cleaning and I would recommend some cleaning products for guests to use since we were there for 8 days and wanted to clean floors but the vacuum did not work and they was no functioning mop. Also, the dishwasher did not work when we arrived but the owner was quick to respond. Otherwise, everything was great!

We love staying at Ekahi Village. The community is very family friendly and we love that the pool is right next to the beach. This unit was super close to the pool and ocean. It was very convenient to go back and forth. We love that we can have meals at the pool and cabana area. Our family ate most of our meals in the community Cabana down by the ocean. The unit had everything we needed. We all slept well and it was very quiet.
My kids loved playing shuffle board and pickle ball. We look forward to our vacation here every year.

Very clean and had everything we needed, except soap for the shower, but that wasn't a big deal. Great location with easy walk to the beach. Loved the beach equipment; chairs, wagon to pull everything, toys, and even boogey boards! Lovely neighborhood to walk as well. Only comment would be the upstairs renter or maybe owner liked to talk on the phone outside very early in the morning on speaker. No problem, just sent my kids outside to play, haha! ;) Thank you for allowing us to stay!

The place is very spacious, well stocked and the location was perfect! Just a short walk to the beach or pool to watch gorgeous sunsets. The complex was quiet, safe and had beautiful grounds.

The layout was great for our family of four. We enjoyed the spacious living area, kitchen amenities and grassy area outside. The beach is a short walk and restaurants are a short drive. Our favorite part was the pool and pavilion area. Wish the hosts had been more responsive and finding the parking pass at check in was a little confusing. Also, check out is at 10am and they expect (someone calls at 8am to confirm) that two loads of laundry are washed before leaving which seems like a big ask when packing up and checking out on the early side. Otherwise, the condo is a great stay and worth the value.

Easy rental experience! Condo is large enough to sleep 7-8 adults comfortably. There is a beautiful beach just a short stroll away. We were only in Maui for 3 days so we were barely in the condo, but it was set up nicely with beach towels, chairs, a wagon, etc. My husband and I had been to Maui once before and stayed in Kaanapali. Waimea is so much nicer! We were close to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. We walked to the Keahou Boat Harbor for our Molokini Snorkel trip. The Road to Hana was closer too than our previous Kaanapali location. The property is very quiet and tucked at the end of a dead end road. Would definitely stay here again if we’re back in Maui!

My only complaint …. Pool areas, very strict as there are signs and security at time monitoring the pool. No playing for kids basically at all. And u have to use the code to get in and out, kind of borthersome. So if u have little ones. May want to use the beach or one of the private pools on property.
But overall, highly recommend! Loved the condo, amenities and the beach! Would stay again!

The property is in a great location, with easy beach access. It is extremely spacious. The owners are super easy to work with and were very responsive during our stay. Everything we could have needed was there, including plenty of beach chairs and a cart to wheel things to the beach, beach towels, and basic supplies. We didn't discover the pool until our last night, but we enjoyed a picnic dinner and sunset there. All in all, we had a great time. Thank you Chris and Howard!

Loved how close this was to the beach (5 min walk!). We had a bit of a tough time checking in as the signs weren't in numerical order so definitely ask for clear directions and an address to the property if possible. Recommended for those who are looking for a no frills kind of stay—amenities were standard and could have been better but we were out every day so it wasn't an issue.

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo itself and the grounds are well taken care of, and you can’t beat the short walk to beautiful beaches and snorkeling. It was great to have access to amply beach towels, and beach chairs and the pools on property are great. There were five of us age 10 to 75 and would all love to return. The only downside for us was beyond the owner’s control; right across the hedges and street from the condo, there is a private home under construction. The construction began a bit before 7am and was very loud until around 3pm. We were out and about most of that time, but it would have been challenging to sleep in or use the lanai during those times. Hopefully construction will wrap up soon!

I found this condo after quite a bit of searching online. I was looking for something that would be a change from the high-rise hotel resort experience, close to Ka'anapali where we were spending the second half of our vacation.. And what I found was this little gem.
What a delightful and thoroughly tranquil garden paradise Ekahi village is. We were there with close friends and all four of us agreed it was the perfect spot! The grounds are lush and beautifully landscaped and maintained, and it was so lovely walking along the colorful walkways the short distance to either of the two pools or the private beach.The descriptions of the condo and its amenities were accurate and the pictures were exactly as it is in person - charming, clean, airy and open, with a lovely kitchen and dining area, which, along with the adjoining living room, look out to the big patio (there are two other lanais!) and lush gardens.
We were so comfortable in this setting, we only went out to dinner once during the four nights we were there. We all love to cook, so we would take a cocktail down to the beach for the sunset and then enjoy dinner on the patio. It is very conveniently located, however, for those who enjoy island activities and dining out. (The owners provide you with a lengthy list of suggested activities, excursions and restaurants, so you won't be at a loss for things to do!) We would return to this condo in a heartbeat and say mahalo to Chris and Howard for allowing us to share their home. Perfect!

I was happy to see the condo was so clean and beautiful, inside and out. We were able to relax from the minute we got there. We were centrally located to all sites and attractions, with a beach within walking distance. Wailea is a safe neighborhood with luxury hotels and condo developments, making it comfortable to venture out and explore that side of Maui. I traveled with a group of seven and we were able to enjoy the condo without feeling like we were on top of each other. There was also plenty of space to cook meals and move about on the nights we all stayed in. We had a lovely time and would definitely go again.

This Maui condo over-delivered in all areas. Everything was pristine clean, modern and tastefully decorated. Not once did we think we needed to go out to get any supplies that needed to be there. Near enough to the beach to be lulled to sleep by the sound of the surf every night. Very flexible sleeping accommodations and spacious, airy rooms. Nicely updated and comfortable, this unit was a short walk to both the beach and the pool. The beach had a big stretch of sand (vs being rocky) and was a great place to bob in the surf and watch the sunset. The condo is clean with sensible items made available to you: washer/dryer, towels for the couch to help keep things nice, chairs for the beach, decently appointed kitchen for those inclined to cook, plus others. The beachfront path along other properties is not too far away, accessed by a short stroll on the beach. Our stay was comfortable, relaxing and just generally terrific. Very nice place.

This place is comfort and luxury perfectly balanced! The place is exquisite--newly remodeled and painted, new furnishings and decor, nice linens for bed and bath--and pristine clean, which actually seems difficult to me on ground level near sand! AND, it is super comfortable--nice outdoor seating and BBQ, comfortable large table inside, big accommodating living area so everyone can be together and still feel spacious. It is so nice to be at the condo and at Ekahi that many days we didn't bother going anywhere--except to walk around the grounds, to the pool, or take the long ocean walkway. We loved the easy walk to the beach and to the Ekahi pools. We took in the sunset at one of these places nightly including an afternoon stroll down to Five Palms Restaurant for happy hour and sunset on our last night here. And, so so nice to deal with the Wilsons--super accommodating in every way. We'll be back!

This was one of the most beautiful condos that we have ever stayed at. It was immaculate when we arrived and exquisitely decorated. We enjoyed the lanai, particularly the birdsong and the flowers. The beach was a short walk away and had incredibly blue water. The swimming was wonderful.

You know how sometimes you walk into your condo rental and it is kind of sterile and bare bones? This would not be Howard and Chris's beautiful Ekahi condo! The second you step in, you know you are a guest in someone's lovely home. We shared this condo with my brother and his wife on their first trip to Maui, and we all were thrilled to be in this unit. It is very nicely appointed with many amenities and decor items. We enjoy cooking, and the kitchen and outdoor grill worked out extremely well. Even the wine glasses were top quality!
You can't beat the lower village location in this complex for its proximity to the quiet pool, the beach pavilion, and the beach itself. The grounds are exquisite, well maintained, and peaceful.
We will definitely try for this rental again when we return to Maui! My brother is already thinking of how his grandchildren would just love it in the huge second bedroom.

We enjoyed eight nights at this beautiful condo. The location is excellent as it is near the main pool and close to the beach. The condo is very private and has an excellent outdoor eating area that can accommodate up to 10 people. The condo is alsp equipped with all of the beach necessities (beach chairs, boogie boards, towels, sand toys, etc.) that you would hope to find. The condo is in good shape and is one of the most spacious condos in the Village. It was fantastic! We would stay here again in a minute.

I looked at many condos before booking this one for our family. The children had never been to Hawaii and I wanted it to be perfect. My two older children have mobility issues so the proximity to the beach and ground floor condo were the major factors. Also we are a family of five, with one girl (11) and two boys (8 & 10) so the second bedroom suite with 3 separate beds was key. The suite has a sitting area with its own tv as well as is own on-suite bathroom. The condo is huge and we really felt like we were able to spread out. It is on a corner bordering the back of the property with a beautiful growth of flowering trees and shrubs that completely shroud the condo and large back lawn from the street behind. It was so quiet and tranquil and felt completely private. Since my one son cannot walk very far the first thing I did the morning after we arrived was get up early and walk down to the beach to scope it out and see if "2 minutes toes in sand" was accurate advertising. I was delighted when I rounded the corner of the short dead end that lead right from our back lawn to a small beach parking lot and saw how close the ocean was! I think I actually got my toes in the sand in about 30 seconds. It was close enough that my children could even help carry their own beach bags and sand toys. (Note that the beach access from Ekahi is not wheelchair accessible, there are small flights of concrete steps at both access points) Another big factor for our family was a great pool. Since the ocean waves can be challenging for my special ones we counted on a lot of pool time to keep things fun for them. The beach pool was even better than I expected. It is accessible from both the beach parking lot and the beach, which meant short walking distances, and close-by bathrooms. The bathrooms required your key to enter, as well as a key to enter the pool area itself which thrilled me because they were super clean. Never once was the pool area crowded. We always managed to get lounges and sometimes were the only ones swimming. My disabled 10-year old son learned how to swim in the Ekahi beach pool! Pretty much says it all! As it turns out the morning surf at Wailea was so gentle that the children were even able to snorkel and boogie board with assistance. The wind kicks up in the afternoon, the surf gets a little rougher and the sand can whip your face, but its worth braving to see the amazing sunsets! Which we did, night after night.

The vacation of a lifetime! This is our second year staying in this beautiful condo and we intend to repeat the experience year after year. The condo could not be more perfect. Located mere steps from the beach and adjacent to the famous Wailea Beach walk, the location is extraordinary. Beautiful accommodations enhance what is already the perfect spot. The website pictures, as lovely as they are, can’t possibly do justice to the comfortable and welcoming atmosphere of this home. While there is air conditioning, we have never had to use it. Cool ocean breezes accompanied by an orchestra of songbirds make waking up each morning a delight. Walks on the beach, gentle surf perfect for young, old and everyone in between, and breathtaking views, truly make this the ideal place to spend your vacation.

Waking up in the morning to the sound of birds and surf is the best!
We were so comfortable here we often sat around IN THE CONDO (hello! we're in Hawaii...why weren't we out at the beach or going someplace!) all morning with our coffee then had a leisurely lunch on the lanai before setting off on our day's adventures. Really, it was just what we needed--the condo has everything and its spotlessly clean--which we loved. We also really liked how light (especially for a downstairs unit) and breezy it is. Great airflow -- due to corner unit probably.
It feels really secure too...we slept with the glass door open.
We also like how easy it is to go anywhere from here, yet it feels off the beaten path with no busy road sounds.
Great amenities at the complex too. Love the big pool overlooking the ocean!

This is one of the nicest condos in the Wailea area super comfortable, spacious, clean and pleasantly decorated we stayed here for a week we cooked great meals daily the kitchen is fully furnished. The bedrooms and living room have sliding doors that keep the fresh ocean breeze come through. We walked to the beach which is not far from the front door it is very close to the beach for swimming, snorkeling, long walks and just relaxing. The condo is fully furnished, the grounds are beautifully landscaped with lots of beautiful flowers, fruit trees and even herb gardens the restaurants, bars and shopping are also within walking distance. To tell you the truth we will not stay at a hotel again.

Lovely, lovely, lovely! The home, the lanai, the pool, the beach, it was all lovely. We visited as a family of six ranging in age from 14 to 80. We all had a wonderful time. The home is furnished beautifully and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. We slept comfortably, cooked and served family style meals easily, and had loads of fun on the lush tropical grounds. Everyone had plenty to do from pool and ocean swimming, boogie boarding, snorkeling, lounging in the cabana or on the beach, shuffleboard, paddle ball, and lawn frisbee. The Wilsons provide many toys and we left behind a large bodyglove boogie board as well.
A gas Bar B Que grill is on the lanai and a charcoal one at the oceanfront pool. Should you wish to cook your own seafood, we were able to buy extremely fresh seafood nearby; ours literally came boat to store to package and home all in about 30 minutes. The Walu (Hawaiian Butter Fish) is out of this world, simply magnificent.
This Ekahi hawaiian home is the perfect Maui vacation. We went to the Aquarium one day and Lahaina another day but easily could have happily spent everyday at The Ekahi, it is that NICE!!

My family and I have stayed at this beautiful condo a few times now and are even booked to go back next year! You simply can't beat the fabulous interior, lush grounds and close proximity to the beach. If you can't relax here, you can't relax anywhere!

We stayed at this condo with my parents (2 adults) plus my family of four (2 adult, 2 children) and we had a wonderful time. It is spacious, inviting and very comfortable. From the moment you walk down the lush garden pathway to the front door of the condo, you feel welcomed. We loved waking up to the tropical birds and taking an early morning walk on the beach. The beach in the morning is breathtaking, with soft colours in the sky and calm water. As the beach is only a two minute walk away, we could pop down whenever we wanted. The condo unit is fantastic, the bathrooms are modern and roomy, the kitchen is gorgeous and well appointed with every kitchen tool one could possibly need. We enjoyed many a meal out on the main lanai, under the flowering trees and vines, listening to the waves and birds and feeling a perfect "Maui" breeze that kept us nice and cool. We only had to use the air-conditioning once above the double bed in the large "family" room, and at that, only briefly, otherwise the condo stays comfortable with breezes and large ceiling fans. The owners of this condo are great to work with, very helpful and they are quick to reply to an email or question. The beach is, in our opinion, the best in Maui and we cannot say enough positive things about it, as the sand is clean and golden, the water is clear and the snorkeling is amazing. We all got to snorkel with an abundance of tropical fish and several massive green sea turtles which we will remember for the rest of our lives. We will certainly return to this condo for our next Maui vacation.

This is, by far, the most wonderful place we have ever stayed in Maui. The unit is beautifully decorated and is so spacious and comfortable and filled with light! The owners have wasted no expense in making sure their guests are comfortable. We so enjoyed the well-appointed kitchen. We had everything that we needed. The fact that it was barely a two minute walk to the beach (the best in Maui as far as I'm concerned!) was an added bonus. It was also within walking distance to many shops and wonderful restaurants. I can say enough about how fabulous this condo was and we plan on returning again and again! In fact, we are already booked for a return trip in 2013!

I've been to Maui almost 10 times and my favorite place to stay is this condo. The location is close to the beach and pools, it's quiet, the newly remodeled interior is top notch, there is plenty of space for large groups, and the owners are very responsive. Highly recommended!

My parents used to own a unit in Ekahi and we have stayed in various condos several times. This condo - by far - has the most to offer and is the best value out of any that we have seen. It has been completely re-done and the pride of ownership is evident in every detail. It is bright and spacious and the sleeping arrangement would appeal to anyone with children, teen agers or even two couples. The master suite has it's own beautiful ensuite and the second MASSIVE bedroom also has it's own private bath. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and granite counters. The eating area seats six with ease and if a few more come for dinner the main lanai is right off of the kitchen and there is also seating at the breakfast bar. I have never stayed at this unit and wished that it had something - it has it all! Imagine sitting nestled in a private garden listening to the sounds of the waves lap onto the pristine white sand beach. This is the place. You need a lime for your drink? The tree is right outside and there is a blender in the unit. You want to boogie board or snorkle? Outside of the master suite is a storage container filled with equipment for you to use. Need some piece and quiet? There is a privacy pool right outside and any one of the three lanais begs for someone to kick back and read a great book. Forgot a book? Don't worry, they have a selection of books in the unit. The list of all the amenities is long. In the future, if this condo was not available to rent my family and I would change our dates in order to be able to rent it - YES IT'S THAT GOOD!! I have never posted a review before and feel confident to share what we have found - PARADISE IN PARADISE!

We returned to vacation paradise (Maui) and chose to stay in this unit again since it has so much to offer, both in location and facilities. This unit's furnishings, decorations and ammenities make it our favorite, especially compared to other units in this complex, and the price is far lower than every other unit we checked out. It was very clean, well maintained and the many upgrades reflect pride of ownership. The owners are very helpful in answering questions about the unit and surrounding area. We prefer this area of Maui as it is centrally located to so many activities, THE best snorkeling spots, great restaurants, golf and Haleakala and Hana, yet tucked away in a quiet area and SO close to the beach. I recommend it to anyone wanting to spoil themselves! The owner is having air conditioning installed next month, and while we have not needed it, its nice to have the option. We are scheduled to return to this unit this summer!

This location is the PERFECT blend of access and hideaway. This unit makes you feel like you're on your own estate. Great sunset view over the lawn from the patio. Steps from the pool or the beach makes this the perfect spot for anyone who wants to be in the water FAST. Close enough to walk comfortably to the top hotels/shops and just a few minutes from town, more shopping and restaurants. Too many choices for golf to make it easy to decide! The owner clearly treats this place as if they are living there. This is a top end, don't miss unit. Stay here and you'll feel like it's yours too!

My family (Mom, Dad, my 3 boys, and I) stayed in the condo during the summer of 2004, before the renovations. Loved the location! Very convenient and close beach and pool access, quiet, and plenty of space in the condo! Close enough to walk to Wailea's shopping mall. One of our favorite places to stay!
