Some missing important items like can opener and dust pan for sand. Also fan lights were not working in spare bedroom and beds were smaller for 18 and 20 year old boys. We really enjoyed the location and overall stay was good. Thank you

Just got back from a 3 week stay in this unit. We LOVED it!! Wicked location... steps from the beach & pool. And parking was right there. The property was fabulous as well.
Few small negatives... we had a few cockroach buddies throughout our stay. But being in the tropics, I guess that's not uncommon. Unit could use a little love. Although the washer/dryer, master shower & and kitchen appliances were fantastic! As per another review, the sectional couch is a pain!! Very difficult to keep together. And way too many pillows. Lol!
The bench outside that other guests mentioned, was indeed a hangout spot for smokers, although we never had an issue with smelling the smoke. The homeless people & drug addicts that hung out there were more of an issue however. An idea may be to put up a fence of some kind to separate that space from the unit's beautiful front lawn.
All in all though, these minor things did not take away from our dream vacation. We would stay again in a heartbeat. And wish we could have stayed forever!!

Our party was 4 adults and our 12yr old daughter. The adults took the bedrooms and our daughter slept on the pullout in the living room. The condo is clean & spacious. We never cooked but it was stocked with pots and pans. There was a washer & dryer. Harry even had a soft sided cooler and beach’s chairs-boogie boards—which was so great.
The condo is in the perfect location. Your literally steps to the beach and a few steps to the pool-two pools-there is a restaurant and a beach bar. There are two gift shops-one is more like a convenient store. There is also a grocery across the street-walking distance. Harry is quick to respond with places to eat or any help you need. Our corner of paradise was perfect-amazing views -watch the sunset from your patio. It was convenient to get in & out of-plenty if parking! Thank you Harry!! Just book this condo-it’s perfect!

This location could not have been more ideal for our family of four. Having the lawn for our young kids to run around on, while we could sit on the lanai and watch them AND the view, was perfect. The unit itself had the great space and enough kitchen tools for us to easily cook and eat at home often. The kids absolutely loved the kid-friendly pool as well with it's multi-level entry points (including a nice 9 inch section for our toddler) and water features. We often hit a beach in the morning and then popped over to the pool in the afternoon. The lawn games were a fun bonus too! We felt incredible lucky to have snagged this spot and would highly recommend it (although we don't want too many people to discover it, we need it to be available for a future visit, haha!)

I read a review on this property before we visited. It said that they did not want to tell everyone just how wonderful this unit is. Now I understand what they meant. If everyone knew about it, everyone would rent it out from under us. We arrived at night so we had no idea what we were in for on our first morning. How about a double rainbow over a perfect ocean with an island at either end. Right outside your lanai door. As people walk by on the pathway, they wave and say how nice our lanai is. Once a young girl, maybe 7, said "Mom, they have a nice apartment." Yeah, even kids can tell. To say we loved this unit is a given. I would love to own and live in this unit. We will be back to visit in the future. I wish it was tomorrow! Until we meet again! Aloha from Alaska! (Unit 161, ocean facing, left wing of resort)

This place has a wonderful view! Right out the window and it’s fun to listen to the waves.
The place wasn’t stocked with a toaster, dishes to make dinner or kitchen towels, wash clothes ior cereal bowls. I had to go but them all so we would have them. Also no infant things available ( pack n play or high hair) that would have been helpful.
The floor was super dirty and we found a pipe and Marijuana left in the condo…not cool. Overall it’s a great place to stay just wasnt stay impressed with these few things.

This condo was amazing! It had everything we needed for our family vacation and it was just steps from the beach! That was super helpful with lugging all the chairs and beach toys! We had many walks on the beach with coffee and it was just lovely. It was also close (within 7-15 mins) to most everything we wanted to do. It had enough space for our family and we never felt cramped.
One previous review mentioned that the spot out in front of the condo by the beach walkway was kind of a smoking area but we didn’t have any issues with that. There was one spot to the far side of the condo where folks would sit on a bench and smoke but it never traveled into our condo or bothered us. The only thing we wished it had was extra paper towels and dish washer detergent. We had to purchase some during our stay. Not a huge deal. Check-in was super easy and we never had any problems while we were there. We would definitely stay there again! Extremely happy with our pick!

We recently stayed in unit 161 for 13 days and we had the best time! This was our first time staying at Kaanapali Shores and we were pleasantly surprised! We loved that they had a bar with drinks and food - it took the stress out of cooking dinner a couple of nights. We also liked the live music the restaurant had a few of the nights - it made hanging out by the pool and watching the sunset extra special! The pool areas were fun with a good amount of kids for my kids to play with. The beach that is right outside of the unit is a decent beach too! Our first day my husband and kids went snorkeling and saw a turtle and rode some waves. We also collected shells and took a few good walks on the beach and beach path. The unit itself was very nice and well furnished. The best part about the unit is the view - it’s gorgeous and there is nothing better than starting your day with that view! You do get some foot traffic from being a ground floor unit and there’s a beach walking bath right there, but that is to be expected from a ground floor unit. The one easy fix that would be nice to do is connect the sectional pieces together so you can sit on the couch without it sliding all apart-it was impossible to keep the couch together - We will for sure be back! Thank you for an awesome vacation!

Everything about this condo was exactly what we wanted! Direct beachfront in a perfect location, beautifully updated, well stocked with beach accessories & great resort amenities.
Devery, the manager, was extremely helpful & prompt in responding to a small issue we had during our stay.

The condo is in the best location. Open the double doors and the beach is right in front of you! In the mornings we saw many rainbows from the patio, in the afternoons the most amazing sunsets. I loved the kitchen, I found everything we needed and things were in great shape. The master bedroom bed was very confortable. There are two pools and the restaurant by the pool had live music a few nights. Definitely we will book this place again if we go back to Maui.

I don’t think you can get any closer to the water in this property. Nice to have two bedrooms. Although there’s not very much privacy because of the public walkway and the smokers that gather there.

Was a really nice place! Only complaint was the guest bedroom we talked to the property manager before we came and was told we would have a queen bed and we came with 2 couples and the other bedroom had just 2 full beds. And we emailed and called the property manager and never got a response. So it didn’t make it as nice for 2 couples
