Awesome view! We used their beach chairs and noodles almost daily. Several spices and oils, we didn’t have to go buy everything like in some units. Sugar Beach rocks. Decent snorkeling right in front of the condos. Long walkable beach. Great location, quick drive to all the stores and restaurants in Kihei or Kahului.

The condo was clean, comfortable and modern.
We especially liked the view, the ease of parking and the short walk to the beach and pool.
Bedding was excellent, the condo was well stocked with beach items and the kitchen had all that we could want as we prepared our own meals most of our week long stay. Thank you!

The condo was great. Very well
stocked, it had everything we needed plus much more. The view was fantastic and the bed comfy. Location was great for first timers to Maui. Nothing was too far away and amenities were close by. The beach was very swimmable, we even saw a turtle. It was nice to take a dip during sunset. It can get a bit windy in the afternoons, but it didn’t bother us.

The view of the beach and sounds of the waves made the experience for us. The place was stocked with everything we could possibly need. Only thing that stopped us from a 5 star rating was that the screens didn’t really prevent bugs from getting in when trying to listen to the waves at night. 4.75 rating and would stay again.

My favorite part of our trip was sitting on the balcony listening and watching the waves. We saw a whale breach while sitting out there! This condo was perfect for us. The king bed was comfortable. The condo fit 2 adults and 2 kids nicely.

Loved our stay, the booking process was easy and the communication with the owner Loren was friendly and professional. Loren answered any questions we had promptly and was great to deal with. Unfortunately my wife had an accident on the island and we were more or less confined to the unit for the second week of our stay.
We will definitely come back sometime next year and we are looking forward to hopefully stay at the same location and unit again.

Direct oceanfront, within walking distance to a few shops. Beach is wonderful! Loren has been very nice and responds quickly should you need anything. Highly recommend!!! Thanks again for a great vacation!!!! We’ll be back! Aloha!

Property is outdated, but the location is perfect. Had trouble with the bathroom light. It got fixed halfway through our time there. Not to crowded and near shopping and restaurants. Saw many whales from the lanai.

Ocean front proper sitting on 5 miles of beach that is easily walkable. Kihei is a fun little town but it’s easy enough to get to Kapalua, Haleakala, or west Maui mountains.

We were only there for two nights but it was lovely. The only thing is we wish the hot tub had been at a normal temperature. It was not as hot as it should have been.

Unfortunately, swimming pool was closed for maintenance. This was communicated to us before we arrived but after we have already paid.
Please note that the bed is very high with no option to climb on it. No steps no ledge. Dangerous for older people.

Nothing beats the views and sound of the beach from the balcony! The location gave us easy access for everything we wanted to see, even the Road to Hana and Haneakala. Easy access to food nearby, great to swim in the beach front at the property, but bring swim shoes! Rocky!

Overall really enjoyable, right on the beach with ocean view from the balcony. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, sugar and even a coffee bean grinder. Only nit-picks are: missing power cable to the Blu-ray player (which had the Netflix app), so I plugged in my laptop, and the Wi-Fi was a bit flaky. But those were really minor - we loved morning beach walks, evening hot tub/pool, and even used the community grill to grill dinner one evening.

The experience of renting the Sugar Beach condo was like using an easy button! The condo was situated by a lovely not busy beach and a bar and grill on site. The surprise was the turtles out front!!

Been to sugar beach many times this condo was basic in all the supplies. The view is amazing. It would be nice if they up graded the couch not very comfortable not that we spent that much time in the condo. No welcome gift as previously mentioned in other reviews. Overall we knew what to expect so we were not disappointed.

I agree with most of the other reviewers here: the location is great, the view is spectacular, the apartment is dated and needs a deep clean scrub. We also had some issues when we got there—the apartment was in the middle of being cleaned when we arrived due to some confusion, and as a result we felt like the cleaning quality was mostly good, but missed some spots and we had no paper towels and extra toilet paper (they brought it later when we called).
There are stains on the carpet and the washer and dryer have sand all over the insides—again, just needs a little bit of a better clean. And yes: the bed is super high off the ground but we didn’t mind.
Overall we had a great time, location is perfect, and the views were spectacular. The hiccups were just hiccups.

What a tranquil place this was. Located on the edge of Kihei Town, Sugar Beach was just what the doctor ordered! Only feet from the shore, listening to the waves throughout the day and night was absolutely mesmerizing. It was such a treat to sit on the lanai and watch the occasional turtle swim by. The condo was the perfect size for us. Everything was in great shape and very clean.

We love Sugar Beach and had a great visit. The unit is nice and was very well stocked with kitchen items, beach gear/towels, laundry supplies and there was plenty of storage but could use some updating. The bed is extremely high off the ground which makes it difficult to get in and out of. The coffee pot could also be replaced and was dirty (full of grounds) when we arrived. Overall a great place to stay!

Definitely Furniture (Couch) needs Replacement. TV difficult to operate (too many remotes) and
Bedroom to get on the bed is for mountaineers

We thoroughly enjoyed this property and Maui! We are seniors and did it all. Don't let age stop you. The view from the lanai is breathtaking, especially at sunset. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking equipment and basic panty items. The condo had everything we needed except garbage bags. We purchased laundry detergent too, but if you run by Walmart on your way from the airport, you'll be set. There is a snorkel rental shop on the property with good deals. One bedroom closet has many items for the beach and island sight seeing. Nice thick beach towels were in one of the dresser drawers. We found binoculars stored under the flat screen tv. The ice chest was perfect for our trips to Haleakala - the crater is unbelievably beautiful, the fascinating lava fields, nearby snorkeling, the west coast, Lahaina, the Road to Hana - both north and the paved section of south, the blowhole of Nakalele Point, swimming pools in the Acid War Zone, the Iao Needle, etc. Our favorite meals were probably at the South Maui Fish Company. So much great food on Maui and so little time! The last full day there, we were blessed to see several honu from the lanai. Whale season is the only way our trip might have been better. But that just gives us an excuse to go back!

The condo could do with some refreshing but nothing major.
The location of Sugar Beach Resort has the advantage of never being crowded.
