Our beach experience is subject to changes influenced by Mother Nature. During these periods, access to the beach from our property may need to be temporarily closed due to high water levels. This situation is typically observed in the winter months and rarely in the summer.
As avid snorkelers and scuba divers, we seek calm, clear waters. We assess the daily conditions to decide on the beach to visit. I can provide you with the link to access daily beach conditions, just ask.
We have world class beaches a short distance north and south of us. I've compiled a comprehensive book in the condo that describes these beaches, helping you choose based on your preferences, such as snorkeling, swimming, walking, body surfing, quiet, busy etc. The information book also includes a description and list of our favorite restaurants in the area, nearby hikes, and other activities, which our guests have found immensely helpful!
Hawaii Taxes collected are GET of 4.712%, TAT of 10.25% and Maui county 3%. These are all included in quoted price.
The only additional costs that are not included are a $18day parking fee, which is paid at the resort upon arrival

Keri does a wonderful job with all aspects. First, the unit is impeccable. My wife commented how clean and perfect everything was upon arrival. Keri is so organized and we could not think of a thing that we needed that she had not already provided. Instructions are everywhere, from how to operate the sound system, the TV, the shower, the washer/dryer, etc. We plan to return to Maui and will without a doubt stay here!

This condo comes fully equipped with everything you need for an excellent stay. It is beautifully decorated with really nice furnishings. The bed was super comfortable. We watched the whales playing from the balcony everyday- it was fascinating and provided a lot of entertainment. The host was very informative on places to eat- we took her advice and all of the restaurants were really good. We really had a great stay!

Everything was perfect. Best place we've ever stayed. Host was attentive and welcomed us after arrival. Keri has given us a place to relax and unwind. We were so comfortable here we weren't motivated to go out much. If we ever return to Maui we will definitely stay at Keri's but for longer time. To sum it up: the condo is better than your own home.You will not be disappointed staying here.

Location was beautiful and the condo was very cozy. My 14 month son was really enjoying the views and playing in the thick carpeted condo. Although there was a slight problem with check in code & another issue with the sheets, I do not feel like those mishaps are enough to minus a star. Keri was quick on response and very apologetic about the other mishap. She even texted us early to let us know we could check in early. We really appreciated that since we had our son with us. The condo itself was well kept and clean. I would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay at Keri's place. She easily has the best stocked vacation rental I've stayed in...she's literally thought of everything you might need.
Outside of that, she is thoughtful and very communicative.
The sunset from the beach is great and you might also see turtles and dolphins like we did. Also, as promised, a rainbow or two too.

Best VRBO experience ever! When we walked in the door of Kerri’s condo, the view of Molokai took our breath away and it was like that for two weeks. The lanai is nicely decorated and a perfect spot to watch the sunrise, sunsets and the glorious whales frolicking…seemed like lots more this year. The condo is tastefully decorated exactly as the pictures show. The music system was outstanding with a great selection of CDs. The kitchen was incredibly stocked with everything you could possibly need including supplies that are not usually provided (plastic baggies, aluminum foil, Saran Wrap, coffee, ketchup, mustard, etc.). There’s even a Vita-mix Blender. The kitchen has been updated with beautiful Blue Oyster granite with additional whale tiles. This is carried over into the shower which was perfect…and with two shower heads. The bedroom was very comfortable and plenty of storage with two dressers and a huge closet. Kerri even provided a steamer, along with iron and ironing board. The beach closet has everything you could possibly want and also beach towels. Communication with Kerri was outstanding including a list of local restaurants to be sure to reserve a month before our arrival. She even checked in with us in the middle of our stay to see if there was anything she could do to help our visit be better. The Royal Kahana has a terrific heated pool with a great view of the ocean, whales and turtles. This is an incredible rental and you can’t go wrong with this host and her property. Truly 10 stars!

The condo is close to everything but away from enough of the tourist resorts/ activities that it was peaceful. The condo had everything you may possibly need to enjoy Maui and to pack light! Of all the condos, in all the places we have traveled, Kari's was by far the very best of the best! It is clear, that this is a privately owned condo, not one that is used for income purposes. It is a very special space that has more thoughtful touches than I could list. A few highlights...
- We checked in late, after over 20+ hours of travel and grocery shopping. Check in was a breeze, the condo clean & just as described. Keri's checkin instructions are clear & easy.
- Discreet, helpful notes & tips are throughout the condo.
- Keri has put together this fabulous binder with Restaurant recommendations, beaches, even hair/nail salons! She has included personal notes & menus as well. We loved Mama's Fish House, Kimo's, & Hula Grill. We also did carry out a few nights.
- We wanted to explore a different beach every day while in Maui. The Tommy Bahama backpack beach chairs are just like the ones we use at home and were perfect! There is also a sun shade attachment that I fell in love with. She also includes great snorkel gear, beach games, beach umbrella, boogie boards/floats and coolers.
- Maui morning excursions are early! Afternoon naps are glorious with the softest blankets that Keri provided.
- The kitchen was fully stocked with everything. Quality appliances, cutlery, containers, cookware & utensils. Anything/everything needed was supplied including ziplock bags, foil, paper towels, dish tabs & dish liquid.
- The bed was comfortable & we slept well every night.
- The shower had good pressure & plenty of fluffy towels/wash cloths were provided. No need to purchase toilet paper!
- The washer/dryer worked great! Wash tabs were supplied too!
- There are speakers in the living room & bedroom with a great selection of music, including lots of Hawaiian music. Perfect when we had our friends over to play cards. Great DVD's to choose from when you need a chill night as well.
- Oh! Be sure to check out the binoculars! You can see clear to the buildings on Moloka'i & everything in-between!
- Best for last, the balcony and view. Every time we walked in the door, the view caught my breath. My spot most mornings and at sunset was the most comfortable loveseat on the balcony. I saw whale, the first few days we were there, & turtles most days. Beautiful birdsong was always heard & the view was absolutely glorious. We were treated to rainbows on several days!

The condo is well-equipped with kitchen, beach, and entertainment essentials. The owner Keri is very well organized, responsive, and personable. This is my second time I've stayed at Keri's condo whenever I feel like taking a Maui trip I always check her calendar to see if it is available. I simple love that place. It is nicely furnished having everything you could want to make your stay very enjoyable, ocean view, a nice beach ( several sea turtles are hanging out there now) a nice swimming and tanning pool, good parking, easy to find, air conditioned if you need it ( a lot of places are not air conditioned on Maui). It's very quiet and restful, i' ve stayed at Honolulu several times when I used to run the Great Aloha Run and I'll tell you that place is crowded and noisy. Keri is very responsive to any problems or inquires you may have. It's my place of choice when traveling to Maui and I' ve been to Maui every year since 1989.

We've used several rental properties but none compare to the care and fine touches that have gone into this one! Very upscale decorating and high quality furnishings set this apart from the normal rental. This owner truly cares about providing an ideal living space while enjoying the natural beauty of Maui. Great view, great location on Kahana Coast and good concierge service supplement the condo for a wonderful vacation!

We absolutely loved our 3 week stay on Maui at this condo! Every day we had pleasant breezes blowing through the condo and didn't need to use the air conditioner - which is our preferred way to enjoy the crashing ocean waves. We enjoyed all the high-end appliances, the Keurig coffee maker, the huge movie selection, the beach gear including coolers, ice packs and beach chairs. The Royal Kahana even allowed people to walk onto the beach right from behind the snack bar by the pool and there was a hose there to wash off your feet when returning to the pool area. We saw a huge beached sea turtle on this beach. It was so convenient to park in the underground parking and then simply take the elevator to the 3rd floor with your groceries. It kept the rental car cool and was so handy. We never had any rain the whole 3 weeks of our stay. Our favorite rave was the shower and towels....after a long day of exploring there was nothing like the great shower and super-soft towels. One of our favorite hikes was a short drive to the gorgeous Kapalua Coastal trail past 3 different beaches and beautiful resorts and includes the Dragons Teeth trail where we got a lot of fantastic photos. We enjoyed our 10 days at Keri's condo at the Royal Kahana in late February. As soon as we walked in my wife commented on the decor. It is first class. The view from the patio was great, sitting and having and having a glass of wine, watching the whales frolic in the water. The complex is quiet, which we enjoy. Keri gave us a few suggestions which we used. Of course, Lahaina was my wife's go to place for shopping. We ate out 1/2 the time and used the BBQ's a few times. We did not experience any condo problems. In fact, the A/C was on when we arrived, we turned it off and never turned it on again. We opened the windows and let the breeze cool us. If you enjoy the west side of Maui you will enjoy this condo. The one drawback was the beach had been washed away and we could not walk to the water's edge in the complex.

Before I rented this condo I read all the other wonderful reviews and decided it sounded too good to pass up. Well let me tell you, this condo has everything!!! My husband and I spent 10 days here with our twin 12 year old girls and it fit our family perfectly. The only problem was the condo was so nice that it was hard to leave and go see what else Maui had to offer. But we totally enjoyed Maui and the condo was a great place to have breakfast before heading out and equally as nice to come home to at the end of a fun-filled day. I really cannot say enough good things about the condo. The views were fabulous. And the condo is equipped with anything you would need. You will not regret staying here!!

Staying here is way better than staying in a hotel. Not only is the place updated and super clean, it is very spacious and includes all the small details you don't want to think about while on vacation...coolers, chairs, towels and more. We spent every morning sipping on coffee on the deck, looking out at the ocean. The beach in front of the building has washed away in a storm but they were starting to work on it - there was a small beach in walking distance that we watched sunsets from.
The location was also great - close to Napili and Lahaina.
We recommended this to our family and certainly recommend it to all of you. :)

This is one of those difficult reviews to write because it means that it will become more difficult to get an opening when we return to Keri's place again. That's how wonderful our stay was and what a fantastic person Keri is to deal with. The other reviews say everything that is totally true but for us, it was the feeling of Aloha and that we could pretend this was our second home away from home. It was such a special treat to walk in our first evening and have her wonderful Hawaiian music playing. We play Hawaiian music at home (Oregon) all the time so to be greeted with her selection of music was very special. The condo has everything you could want plus some and there is nothing that could be changed or added to make it better. We really didn't utilize the amenities (such as the pool or other resort attractions) - that just isn't our cup of tea. So I can't address anything related to the Royal Kahana. The location is perfect (this has always been our preferred spot on Maui) and the only down-side would be (not for us because we know the history of the area) that the beach access was one property south of the Royal Kahana. The area has lost their beach due to recent hurricanes and because mother nature has a way of reclaiming what is hers. They are working to rebuild the area and prevent further erosion. Unless you are really a stickler for having direct beach access (which is good for us because we're NOT) this is the only place to stay in the area. Mahalo Keri and we will be back - probably next year.

We had been coming to the Royal Kahana for a few years before we finally purchased our condo. We fell in love with the property and area, so when our condo came up for sale in 2001, we just couldn't pass it up. I love our location; we have a piece of heaven here. We are high enough to have a beautiful ocean view while still getting some of the beautiful gardens in our view as well. We are on the quiet side of the building, so it is very peaceful. We have witnessed weddings on the grounds below. The Island of Molokai is in the distance and we can see whales (during whale season), watch wind surfers, spot turtles in the water and take in Maui’s many rainbows. At night I love to sit out on the lanai and listen to the waves or depending on my mood, I may prefer to enjoy some Hawaiian music from our great NHT’s speakers. Our nights are surreal on Maui, from the gorgeous sunsets to the beautiful starlit skies. From our lanai you can see it all. After you enjoy another gorgeous sunset, you can look out to the distance lights on Molokai, look up to the Big Dipper, and down to the lit tiki torches that just set the scene. Our hope is that when you stay in our condo, you will enjoy all the beauty and peace that surrounds you and when you venture out to enjoy many of Maui’s treasures, you’ll be able to return to a place that’s inviting and feels like home.
