Aloha and welcome to our condo at the Waikiki Banyan, a premier resort located one block from Waikiki beach. Our suite is a corner unit on the 12th floor of Tower 1, facing the ocean and Diamond Head.

We have equipped this condo for our own occasional vacation use with an extensive range of quality supplies. Boogie boards, Tommy Bahama beach chairs and umbrella, snorkel gear and sand toys for the kids are just a few examples that distinguish our condo from others. Take advantage of our gear, and avoid the cost of purchasing your own temporary supplies.

Our suite is more spacious than most at the Waikiki Banyan, resulting in a larger living area and dedicated dining area. The additional windows open up the unit to Hawaii’s cool trade winds, plus you can enjoy a spectacular view of the ocean while preparing meals! Our kitchen, bathroom and flooring have all been recently upgraded.

For added convenience, we have retained the cleaning and maintenance services of Koko Resorts, who have an office on the 5th floor of Tower 1. This benefit provides easy access to on-site maintenance if anything in the condo needs attention. If you need to do your own laundry, you’ll find a coin operated laundry room down the hall from our suite.

Your rental will include free secured parking within the parking garage, as well as free wifi in the suite. The Waikiki Banyan has a beautiful lobby with seating area, waterfall and koi pond. They provide a helpful activity station that can arrange for tours and excursions. For your convenience, there is a mini-mart offering a variety of supplies and goodies as well as a coffee shop, both located on the ground floor.

The 6th floor hosts an excellent recreation deck with features including a large swimming pool, 2 hot tubs, children’s playground, basketball & tennis courts, sauna room, barbecue grills, picnic areas, showers and restrooms. There is also a café that provides a large variety of meals, snacks and drinks. The comprehensive facilities make the Waikiki Banyan one of the most popular vacation destinations in Waikiki.

The east end of World Famous Waikiki beach is a short stroll from the resort and features a breakwater that creates a protected area of calm water, which is perfect for younger ones. However, the surf spots are not far away too.

Also located within a very short walking distance are Kapiolani Park, the Waikiki Aquarium, International Marketplace, Ala Wai golf course (the most popular municipal golf course in Hawaii), Honolulu Zoo, and the “Rodeo Drive” of Waikiki, Kalakaua Avenue. Car rentals, St. Augustine’s Church, supermarket, a multitude of restaurants, and shops are also easily accessible. For your added convenience, a bus stop is located in front of the resort which can take you locally or around the entire island of Oahu! All major attractions (Pearl Harbor, Hanauma Bay, etc) can be accessed inexpensively by bus.

The cover photo of the Beautiful view is totally misleading. The only way you get the view is to STAND AT THE KITCHEN WINDOW or STAND ON TOP OF THE BED. The 3 fans and wall air conditioner had so much dust caked on the blades that my husband had to find a brush to clean them.

The owners made checking in very easy and follow up emails to make sure everything was up to par. Very clean and thoroughly impressed with the whole condo. By the end it felt like home and i was sad to leave. 10 minute walk to the beach, great location and felt very safe. They had everything you could possible need and we will defintiley be back. This unit was perfect for our small family for a week stay. Close walk to the beach and everything else waikiki has to offer. It has just about everything youll need for the beach as well even a little cart to roll it all down there with (we didnt utilize it though). Our 3 year old slept on the pull out but I dont think an adult would find it very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

We had a fabulous week of fun and relaxation! The condo adequately supplied cookware, dishes, etc. As well as nice chairs and toys for the beach. Everything we wanted to do was in walking distance or we took a tour on a bus. Groceries were conveniently available via instacart so not having a rental car was no problem. We would definitely stay here again!

This was my second stay at the Aston Banyon Waikiki. I feel very comfortable in that building. I like the lobby with the koi pond. We chose this property since there is a coffee shop in the lobby . We brought breakfast back to our condo. Location is wonderful. I have now stayed in Waikiki fours times but found July was extremely crowded. This may be a post pandemic phenomenon. The condo was clean and well stocked . The only thing lacking was additional blanket in bedroom. Building laundry was next door. In fact it was ripped up the day before we left. I think it was being upgraded. That's another handy feature. Keypad access was a bonus. Parking availability was another plus. No assigned space but we always found a spot. Doesn't matter what floor you park on since the elevator is easily accessible.

Well maintained condo in absolutely great location. The view on Diamond Head from the balcony is gorgeous. The condo is clean and the kitchen well equipped. Free parking is included. Easy walking access to the beach and restaurants. On the counter part, the bed mattress has seen better days and there was only one functional beach chair. Overall, our family of four had a great time and would stay there again!

Overall good place to stay , waking distance to restaurants and Waikiki beach.the only thing I notice is that the pool and hot tub is always full. I think a bunch of group would just decide to nest in the hot tub and not get out so others will have a turn too..

First of all let start by saying this property is one of the nicer condos on site. We had family who stayed in other condos on site and they we not even close to niceness of this condo. Check in was easy, room was clean, all the extra add ons were amazing, location is spot on, security was great, free parking spot was icing on top of the cake. Cons.. NONE....

This is a great condo in a fantastic location to be “home base” for your stay in Ohau. You can be on the beach in 5 minutes, walk everywhere in the surrounding area, take the bus which has major stops right outside the building, or take advantage of the free parking and rent a car to go around the island. The parking garage is tight so I’m glad I rented a smaller car. As far as the actual room goes, as long as you are familiar with how condos operate and aren’t expecting resort level amenities, you’ll be fine. Yes, the building and room could use updated maintenance but it fit our needs. Hosts were great and easy to communicate with. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and enjoy breakfast. I enjoy tea so I did bring my own kettle after reaching out to the hosts and finding out the coffee maker didn’t have a separate hot water maker. Super easy to pack so no big deal there. My only complaint (that the hosts have nothing to do with) is Waikiki is noisy at night. The hotel pool especially can get extremely rambunctious with children screaming but enjoying themselves. Definitely wish the building would invest in some type of sound proofing. We wanted the windows open as much as possible for the trade winds so just slept in ear plugs. Building management does a great job of getting families out of the pool by 9:15 or so every night so you just have city noise at that point. All in all come in with the proper expectations and you’ll have a great time in this unit.

The condo was very convenient to restaurants and the beach. It was very clean. It was cool enough during the day that the windows could be open and at night it was nice to have AC to sleep. Everyone at the Banyon was friendly. Having a parking space was definitely an added bonus. I would stay here again.

Grandma, mom, and 10 week old baby came to Hawaii for a wedding (left both husbands and the toddler home!). Great location for our wedding agenda. Relatively quiet for Waikiki , great parking. All kitchen utensils present but no basic food stuffs (salt, pepper, oil, coffee). No problem, just something to know. Great host communication

The condo was beautiful and the location couldn't have been better. There's also a beautiful very large lobby and a starbucks next door in the marriott. A quick block to the beach and great shopping even in the plazas that are connected to the marriott next door. The building property is a bit dated, stuffy, and could certainly use some updating with paint and carpet cleaning. Slightly better than Soviet block style housing. The unit itself was clean and unremarkable but sustainable for Waikiki and cheaper than a comparable hotel room, minus the comfort. It’s small for any more than just 2 adults. If the couch sleeper is utilized it takes up most of the useable space. The main bed is in ‘dire’ need of a new mattress. My wife and I slept in two separate pits with little to no comfort and no means of contact minus the struggle to climb out. No recommended for back pain sufferers. Our daughter fared little better on the sleeper sofa and found it to be better slept on as a couch. It’s very noisy at night in Waikiki so opt for the AC and all windows/doors closed for a little quiet. Oh, there’s also a sliding door divider that separates the bed from the other area…. Beware the painful “toe stubber” track on the ground. We all fell victim. The unit was clean and prepared. The garage was nice and easy to navigate and a perk for not having to schill out $50 a day for hotel parking.

This was our first time to Hawaii and this property was a perferct location. Even though we rented a car during our entire stay - used to visit North Shore, Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head and mutliple eating locations, this property was located within 5 minutes to the beach, and walking distance to shopping and mulitple eating locations as well. It was a great place to stay. Pearl Harbor was amazing, Diamond Head do the walk at 6 a.m. well worth getting up early! Visit Fete resturant for the best chicken sandwich, Hulua Pie at Dukes! I would stay here again.

The best part of this property is the location! 1 block from all the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. My 7 year old daughter and I walked to different restaurants, shops, and of course shaved ice locations throughout our stay. We also walked to the Zoo which was only a few blocks away. The room itself is comfortable and just what we needed. We really only slept there and spent the rest of the time out playing. The building itself had friendly and helpful staff (the security guards going into the parking garage we’re always smiling and had an enthusiastic “Aloha!”). You can tell it’s a bit older than some of the surrounding buildings, and has had its fare share of love and use over the years. The pool area has older “vintage” reclining loungers… with the pvc strips, so it’s nice to put your towel down first so you don’t stick to them. With the slight breeze, I think the outside air was cooler than the pool, but I think that’s just the way it is in this climate with the intense sun. (This is the only pool I ever swam in during my multitiple trips to Hawaii so I don’t have a lot of comparison… the ocean is the best way to cool down 😊). For reference… The building is located next to a health facility including mental health offerings, and there seemed to be a few homeless people there on a regular basis. They didn’t bother us at all, however as a mid 30’s woman on vacation with only her 7 year old daughter, we made sure to be aware of our surrounds and just didn’t go down that street. Overall we had a lovely experience and again the location is everything!! Happy vacationing and Aloha!!

I truly enjoyed staying here. The condo was clean & spacious. I was grateful for the free parking. Our room overlooked the pool from the living room. We were able to see the ocean from the kitchen side. There were beach necessities such as chairs, boogie boards & an umbrella. We were so happy this was available to bring to the beach. There was an AC unit in the wall plus electrical fans. They were really useful since it can get hot in the rooms. We were able to buy food from the mini mart & coffee shop downstairs. There are other options in the neighborhood as well. This location was perfect! I would definitely stay here again!

The condo is very conveniently located near public transportation, the beach, stores, and activities. There was enough space for our family to be comfortable for the week. The view of Dimond Head from the balcony is beautiful. There were bodyboards and snorkel gear that we used at Queens Beach which is a 10 min walk up the road. This condo was in the perfect location. It’s about a block away from Honolulu Zoo and Waikiki beach. We loved that it was quiet enough at night and when we wanted the night love, we just walked about half a mile for shopping, bars and food. My youngest is 7 and my teenager is 15 and we all enjoyed our stay here. When we were too lazy to walk to the beach, we took advantage of the pool and jacuzzi. Very family friendly. Lee and Brandi were great host and sent plenty of messages leading up to our stay in case we needed anything. Mahalo! :)

It’s always good to have a private rental experience go smoothly and have the property be at least as nice as posted. That was the case here. Everything worked well - communication, cleanliness, location, parking, checkin, etc. And of course the beach stuff (umbrella, chairs, body boards) was a nice perk! The only non positive comment which is purely an FYI for travelers is this: remember this is still a managed shared property so don’t plan on having cooking things like oils and seasonings provided. We loved that they had salt and pepper but otherwise used what we had brought or bought other items. Again, it wasn’t an expectation, just wanted to pay it forward as a heads up! Thanks for the wonderful stay!

We've previously stayed at the Banyan. Location is excellent close to shops, restaurants, easy walk to to the beach. Originally thought the Ocean View was from the Lanai however was from bedroom and kitchen window. Sufficiently stocked with needed amenities. Condo was clean and tidy. Free Garage Parking is a must if you rent a car. Great communication with Brandie. Ended up staying 2 additional nights for an awesome price. Only negative would be is to replace the bed. Would definitely rent again in future felt like OHANA. MAHALO!

I stayed for a week, and the property had everything I needed. Parking was convenient, and the location was away from the beach a couple blocks, exactly where I wanted to be. It was clean and colorful. It was nice having lots of towels as well as the use of beach chairs and other beach amenities. I appreciated Lee's willingness to give me a slightly later check-out too.

Visited Oahu for the first time as a newlywed and can't reccomend this place enough. From the promt email communication to navigating the island, everything was great. If you are renting a car, I highlhy reccomend renting a location (such as this) that comes with a parking pass. Also, having beach chairs, towels and beach gear was so helpful! We did a lot of cooking due to dietary needs and had everything we needed. Highly reccomend staying here.

Really enjoyed our stay here! The location is perfect, just a few streets off the main road so that it's more quiet when you want to rest at night. The unit is also farther from the elevator so you don't hear people coming and going in the early morning. The place was clean and well stocked with items for a beach day. The only thing was that the fold out couch bed was a bit difficult to operate, but we figured it out in the end. The floor does get dusty easily, but I think that's more due to the wind blowing in from the balcony. The unit faces a direction that gets quite the strong breeze during the evening.

Great location, we love the Banyan! Best place to stay just like being at home. Everything you need is right here including everything for the beach. Take the Pink Line to the shopping centre, catch it across the street, go to Walmart for some groceries... Looking forward to coming back again.

The location is very convenient for walking to Waikiki Beach, the zoo, the aquarium and shopping. There is a parking spot included with the rental and a bus stop on the corner if you need it. We loved that there were beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, etc for the beach. The coffee shop on the lobby level has great selections of light food ootions, and there is a recreation deck & snack shack on level 6. (We found the pool & hot tubs to be crowded). Lee amd Brandie are great to deal with, as we had a snag with our flight out (thanks to hurricane Lane), and they were gracious and quick to accommodate.

This apartment was perfect for us! It was a delight to walk in to such a spacious living area! We were surprised at the wonderful views of the sea from the bedroom and kitchen windows and the Diamond Head views from the lanai were also captivating! We had everything we required here and enjoyed the easy stroll to the beaches, shops and restaurants. The bus to Ala Moana is right outside, couldn't be easier! We had no need to use the air conditioner as with all the windows open the lovely sea breeezes flowed through. The only hiccup during our stay was that there was only maximum two lifts working at any one time, so wait times were excessive, sometimes we opted to walk down the 12 floors. I'm sure this will be sorted soon as many people were unhappy with the lifts. Thank you Lee and Brandie for introducing us to your wonderful apartment! We stayed here for our first trip to Hawaii. We loved how close it was to the beach and how central it was to do day trips all over the island each day. We used the bbqs for dinners while the kids hung out in the pool. You have a very tidy place. Thank you very much.

We enjoyed our stay at the Waikiki Banyan. The owners were great at communicating from the time of booking and during our stay. They responded to our questions within the hour, if not minutes! The condo had everything that we needed (e.g., cleanliness, space, kitchen, laundry, beach equipment, free parking), and things we didn't realize we needed (e.g., cooler, umbrella, stroller, reusable shopping bags). Everything was thought of! It had good views of Diamond Head from the balcony and the beach from the kitchen. We enjoyed the 6th floor amenities (e.g., playground, pool, hot tub, barbecue area, basketball/tennis court), especially the convenience of the Banyan Snack Shop when you just want to enjoy some Dole Whip or shave ice. We didn't try the coffee shop or the convenience store downstairs, but it's there. There was live music in the lobby on Friday. It's also conveniently located. Just a quick walk to the beaches, shopping, and lots of different restaurants. We had fun exploring! Only a few suggestions for improvement: the bathroom needs updating and the bed could use a firmer mattress.

We felt very much t home in this perfect condo for the two of us! We have been coming to Oahu for ten years. Our son and daughter in law live here and we were here celebrating the birth of our first grandson! We love to stay in Waikiki and this spot was ideal. Great location and super close to the beach. It was great having all of the beach equipment for the children (body boards, flippers, beach umbrellas and esky) just to name a few. The place was clean and tidy. We really loved our stay. Our 7 year old twin girls cant wait to go back. Lee was always very prompt with responding to any question I may have. I would highly recommend this condo.

This unit in the Waikiki Banyon complex is on a corner so you get nice breezes pulling through the apartment when you open doors and windows. The unit is well supplied with beach chairs, boards, toys, umbrella, etc., as well as everything you need in the kitchen. It overlooks the big activity deck and pools 6 floors below the unit, and it comes with parking at no additional cost. We saw fireworks over Waikiki Beach from the kitchen window! Also, the owners were very easy to work with before the trip.

The unit is very comfortable and clean. Because the condo is close to the beach, it is noisy at night and since you can't run the air conditioner all night it is hard to sleep with the windows open. Otherwise, it is a perfect distance to the beach with parking garage (public parking is hard to find).
