This condo had everything we needed. It’s walkable to so many restaurants and shopping. It is technically walkable to the beach but if you’re taking chairs and coolers and stuff it’s better to drive (which owners advised me beforehand! And I agree!!!) we were there at peak season so the pool and hot tub were always packed, but I love the fact that kids under 12 can’t go in the hot tub so we were able to sneak in for a relaxing soak briefly. Thanks for a great stay, you can’t go wrong with this nice spot and great hosts.

We were a family of 4 spending two weeks in Hawaii. We wanted a week where we did nothing but eat and visit the beach. This was a really good choice.
First, it was a real home. The kitchen was equipped with high-end everything, across the board, including the best waffle iron I've ever used. I'm going to buy one myself. Some condos are half-forgotten revenue generators for the owners. As you can tell from the other reviews, this this place was a real home, where people live when it's not being rented out. Furniture, carpet, kitchen, bedding, etc were in as brand-new condition as it gets.
Beach access was excellent. Before we booked, I couldn't tell how busy the roads were between the condo and the beach, and it turned out to be very quiet. We walked most of the time, but the parking area is huge and free too. Get there at 8 and you can score a place under the trees. The property included all the little things like chairs, beach towels, and umbrellas.
I've seen a few complaints in reviews of various places around Hawaii about the AC being limited at properties to 75 to conserve electricity. I was a little apprehensive about that, but 75 was more than cool enough. We had the AC on about half the time, the rest of the time we kept the windows open and ran the ceiling fans instead.

This is a nice unit, exactly as advertised. It's clean and functional. The beds are actually quite comfortable. There's an elevator, if necessary. (I broke my ankle recently, so it was appreciated.) My only piece of information to pass along is that the owners keep the A/C throttled at 77. You can't drop it any lower. Luckily, the unit stays cool at night with the breezes off the ocean. But it's definitely warmer than a unit that might go down to 72, let's say. (That was the low at a unit rented by another family member in a different development, same resort area.) All in all, we were very happy with the property.

We had a wonderful vacation in your condo. It is close to the pool and BBQ area, which we used everyday. We also used the beach supplies at the beautiful near by beaches. The condo was clean and well stocked. We will stay here again!!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful condo with beautiful views of the golf course and Mauna Kea. We especially enjoyed the stunning sunrises most mornings.
This home was very clean and comfortable. It was well stocked with everything we needed for our one month stay. We especially appreciated the beach chairs and beach umbrella.
The location is ideal, within easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, A Bay etc.
The owners Dick and Kathi were outstanding to work with, responding immediately to questions.
A special thank you for the welcome tray of goodies greeting us upon our arrival.
We would highly recommend this unit and look forward to another stay !

Stayed at this wonderful condo in Dec 2022 with my family, and it was PERFECT place for us. Immaculately clean and had all that we needed as a family. Pictures and presentation were exactly as expected. Sunrises on the deck, sunsets at the pool, excursions to nearby beaches and sites, grilling on the property gas grills, working out in the gym, and close proximity (walking distance) to amenities made it ideal for us. The owners and local contact were unbelievably responsive, receptive, informative, friendly, and helpful! Highly recommend for all travelers to the Big Island!

This condo was the perfect home base for our explorations of the Big Island. The condo was clean and ready for us with a nice welcome basket on the counter when we arrived. Kathi called early in our stay to make sure everything was all right and offer suggestions. We had an amazing time celebrating our daughter’s college graduation and the end of my chemo treatments. Condo is convenient to many of the things we wanted to do, yet was quiet and relaxing.

Our check in was smooth. We were pleasantly surprised with being able to check in early. Concierge was friendly and responsive. The condo was clean with nice amenities. We enjoyed use of the beach equipment and coolers. The unit felt homely and we would definitely stay again. Dick and Kathi were very responsive to communications. Only issue was vrbo not charging proper taxes at time of rental. Make sure taxes seem appropriate for number of days renting. All in all... Wonderful family vacation.

I would give my experience with this VRBO and Dick and Kathy a 6 if I could. Due to COVID, my honeymoon I originally booked with them was changed several times and throughout that booking experience, Dick and Kathy were incredibly kind, easy to work with and very communicative. Once we were finally able to go in June 2022, the condo was clean, well kept, had great gear for the beach, and was in a villa/resort area that was very enjoyable to stay at. Property Management was also very easy to get a hold of if there was an issue. I would 100% rebook again and would recommend this VRBO to anyone wanting to stay on the big island!

I can’t say enough good things about our visit to Waikoloa! The condo was perfect for our family of six which included four teenagers. Clean and comfortable with a gorgeous view and we all loved the pool after exploring this amazing island! Dick and Kathi were fantastic to deal with and Allyson was a very responsive property manager who gave excellent tips about the island. It was the perfect family vacation!

Wonderful condo! Great location! Condo contains everything anyone could need. Kitchen is well equipped. Only one problem we experienced was the air conditioning was preset and locked at 76 degrees you could not lower the temperature. They told us to open windows at night for cross ventilation, unfortunately at night it was very warm and humid. Great condo.

The condo is very nice: well equipped and has attention to the detail, unlike some of the property-management run places that look like a hotel. Location is great - a couple min ride to A-beach (or about a 10 min walk), right across from shopping and restaurants. Designated covered parking spot right next to the entrance. It has absolutely everything you need if you want to cook (important for our family). Also has the necessary beach stuff (chairs/umbrellas/boogie-boards), so you don't need rent/buy any. Property is serviced by a property management, but owners do keep in touch both prior to check in and during the stay, so I can tell they care about your experience. I am also grateful that they have been able to accommodate late check out for us, so we had a chance to swim at Hapuna beach the day of your departure!

This property is beautiful and in a great location. The host is very kind and helpful. The neighbors and management made our trip very stress though. If you are coming alone or with a partner it would probably be a nice place. I came as a single mom with my three kids and I would not recommend staying with children. We are not excessively loud. I mean, my kids are young so their is noise but not excessive. We had the neighbors complaining, and management leaving notices on our door to the point that my kids didn’t even want to be in our room and hardly dared talk. We were accused of having too many people here because some friends who had traveled here with us came
Over to our room. We were threatened to have our room searched, which we agreed because it was literally me and my three kids. The neighbors seemed to be at their doors and windows watching every time we came and went. I felt that my privacy was being violated, to the point that we got another room. We were staying for two week and were only able to find another room for a portion of our stay, but we were happy for a break in the middle where we were able to stay at the Marriott across the street and relax a little. It ended up being a lot more costly trip after getting another room and more stress than intended as we didn’t feel we could be in our room when we were at the condo because any noise at all seemed to be excessive. If it weren’t for the neighbors, it would be a beautiful place. My sister had a condo here as well and we spent a lot of time in her room with no complaints at all, so I am confident it is the neighbors that made this a stressful experience. It is beautiful, well maintained and in a great location, just don’t stay if you have children or plan to make any noise at all.

Highly recommend staying at this property. Hosts are easy to communicate with. The location is great! Walking distance from the beach and shopping area. Away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Kona. But still close enough for an easy visit downtown. Excellent spot as a base for exploring the island. Thanks again and hope to be back soon.

Beautiful, warm, and relaxing condo! We felt like we were at home immediately upon arrival. The condo interior is very soothing with incredible views of the golf course and Mauna Kea. Everything was very clean and well kept. We have stayed in many upscale condos throughout the islands over the years and this unit was one of the best. The property manager Lisette and the owners had great communication throughout our stay. We hope to return one day to the BI and would be excited to stay here again.

The property was beautiful. Very spacious. The property managers were great and the host was incredible. They both called to assure we had everything we needed. The unit was furnished with everything you could possibly need for any length of stay. The view of sunrises from the balcony and views of sunsets from the pool. The condo is beautifully decorated, with a great view of the golf course. The property is wonderfully landscaped with tropical plants and brightly colored flowers. He had a great stay at this property over Christmas. The location is perfect with easy walking to the grocery stores, onsite swimming & hot tub and many beaches very close by. The kitchen was stocked with everything and we cooked many meals at the house. There were beach toys for the kids, coolers, boogie boards and umbrellas. Everything about this property made our trip easy and we hope to return here again someday.

My family and I stayed over our spring break, unfortunately given the current state of the world our overall experience of the area was out of the ordinary. That being said we did very much enjoy the condo and it’s location to the available amenities. As well it is a short enjoyable walk to the King and Queen shops. Aloha. We loved the condo and had a great time during our 3 week stay. It is very close to shops and restaurants and an easy walk to A-Bay beach and Lava Lava Beach Club. We loved that it faced east so that we could enjoy the early morning sunrises overlooking the golf course and Petrogyths! Very scenic. It is very spacious, clean and has everything you need for a great vacation. All the large appliances were very new and in good working order and we really enjoyed the ice maker and filtered water in the fridge. It saved us having to buy water which was a huge bonus. There was also every small appliance possible! The owners thought of everything right down to the fancy coffee grinder and toaster. We cook a lot so we appreciated everything as well as all the spices and cooking oils etc. that were left in the pantry. The beach chairs, umbrella, cooler and boogie boards were sooo nice to have as we are beach people and used them quite a bit. The Homechex property service was easy to communicate with when needed. The owners called us a few days after we arrived to see if everything was okay, so that was very kind of them. We have travelled a lot and this was one of the best condos we have stayed in by far and we would definitely stay again when we come back to the Big island.

We stayed for four weeks at this lovely condo. From beginning our reservation to the time we left , Dick and Kathy wanted to ensure our vacation went smoothly. The telephone call within days of our arrival, to ensure we had everything we needed was appreciated. The condo exceeded our expectations . The online pictures don’t do it justice. There is everything you need for an enjoyable vacation. The kitchen has numerous appliances and utensils, including a coffee grinder, barbecue set and terrific blender. There was nothing we required that wasn’t provided. Thank you Dick and Kathy for extras, which included dishwasher and laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner and body wash.... There are beach chairs, two beach umbrellas ( which we appreciated), coolers, many beach towels beach toys and body boards . The condo is so comfortable, we felt like it was our second home. There is a large TV in the living room and a TV in each bedroom, with many channels. The furnishings are comfortable and the condo has a tropical vibe. We only used the pool twice as we were interested in the local beaches and touring the island, however it is a lovely infinity pool with hot tub. The condo location is great - close to the barbecues/pool. Fairway Villas is in one of the better locations in the Waikoloa Beach Resort. Within several minutes you can walk to open air stores, where you can purchase everything from groceries to a bathing suit. There is also entertainment in the evening, although the 6 pm start is a bit early when you are trying to fit in dinner. You will be very happy with your stay in Dick and Kathy’s piece of paradise. We have been staying at Fairway Villas for 6 years now and this was our first in this condo. It knocked our socks off. Beautifully furnished, it was also supplied with almost everything item you could possibly want/need. I particularly enjoyed the hot pot. Being a tea drinker among coffee drinkers usually leaves me with boiling water and brewing one cup at a time but the hot pot allowed me to make enough tea quickly and not interfere with those grouchy coffee drinkers :) A better appointed and provisioned condo has not been seen by us. Two thumbs up to the owners for operating a first class condo. We hope to return again soon. :)

This was our first visit to the Big Island and to Fairway Villas and we were extremely happy with both the Villas and especially with our unit. The facilities and the grounds were lovely and enjoyed the barbeque area, pool, workout and hot tubs very much. The unit was perfect! It was spotless, beautifully decorated and comfortable. DIck and Kathi have included virtually everything a vacationer could need - kitchen and grilling equipment, spices and condiments, cleaning soap etc, even zip locks that we had forgotten to pack. There were also beach umbrellas, boogie boards, beach chairs etc, etc. Honestly, absolutely nothing was left out. We loved this place and I'm pretty sure we'll be back in the future (my husband is working on his golf game...)!
