We had a great time here. The property was in great condition and is in a perfect location. The pool was very close by, and a great beach is across the street. Not far from the airport and all the other places we wanted to see (Wailea, Haleakalā). A lot of great places to eat in Kihei, including awesome food trucks! The complex was generally pretty quiet. We also really appreciated that the host gave us a late checkout on our last day so that we could enjoy the beach one last time before our evening flight. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Kihei area!

We had the best experience with our stay. Communication with the host was fantastic. Unfortunately, one in our group had an injury that kept him mostly inside for a few days. The condo was 100% the best for keeping him as comfortable as possible yet the rest of us could take short trips out to the pool or beach (right across road, one of the best building locations) but be back quickly if needed. There were ample starter supplies of all necessities. The condo location was very quiet and we felt very safe. This was truly one of the best VRBO stays we have ever been at. There were beach chairs, beach toys, plenty of beach towels, cooler- everything you need for a day trip! Would definately stay here again.

This condo was perfect for our family of 4. Our two teenage boys had some space away from mom and dad with a separate bedroom with twin beds and a separate bathroom. The view overlooking the grounds of Kamaole Sands out to the ocean was beautiful. Heidi, the owner, was great to work with. Highly recommend!

We've stayed at this condo facility before and knew it had a great beach nearby (Kamaole II/III) and this condo was great too. My only negative would be I wished I had received a copy of the welcome packet before my stay, as they only provide a couple sample soaps/shampoos in the condo and I would have brought my own if I had known (and didn't see this in the check-in guide on VRBO) and the boogie boards were not with the beach toys either.

We had a fantastic time at this property. It is situated in the perfect spot where everything is walkable. We walked to the beach every day and boogied boarded. The shaved iced spot was not too far away and there were tons of great spots to eat.
Host was extremely accommodating and helped us navigate through minor issues that popped up. Loved being here can't wait to be back!!

We’ve stayed at the Kamaole Sands many times over the years and this condo was one of our favorites! The unit is close to the front of the property, short walk to the beach and shops. The lanai has a beautiful view of Haleakala and the ocean, a rare combo to have both! Everything was very clean, newly updated, comfortable beds and nice big comfy couch. The amenities were everything that we needed, beach chairs, umbrella, nicely stocked kitchen. Heidi is a great host and communicator. We had a wonderful time and hope to stay here again!

Overall, it was a good experience and visit. Unfortunately, the unit was not very clean, the counter was dirty, floor sandy and debris on the carpets. The owner should invest in a better cooling system for the price we paid to stay here. It was top dollar rate with poor to no way to keep the unit cool. Other than those complaints, the views were great of the ocean and mountains as well as the close proximity to the beach and shopping.

Our place was clean and very well organized. Got every essential daily things. We felt just like at home. The best part is that it includes all the beach gears for us. It also has tennis racquets for us. But the racquets are outdated, but OK for beginners. We love the bbq pit. Went to Costco and got RibEyes Steak, perfect for the week. The pool and jacuzzi are nicely kept. We can just walk down the beach to catch some buggie boardings. Will definitely come back here again when there is a chance.

This place was almost perfect, except that it had one of those metal framed pullout beds that offers no support, with bars and springs poking you. Thank goodness there was a foam topper which, laid on top of the couch cushions which were arranged on the floor, was reasonably comfortable for 2 of our 6 adults.

My family and I had a great trip to Maui staying at this VRBO property. The area is quiet which is a huge plus for me, close to the beach and a very short drive to Wailea where we spent a lot of beach time. There are plenty of shops within walking distance or a short drive for everything you need. Highly recommend.

The best condo at Kamaole sands

This condo is in an older building, but has been given some basic interior updates so it feels a lot newer. Clean, useful space inside, and a decently-sized lanai to sit on. Beds were comfortable. Lots of fans were provided, and we always had windows open, so we didn't try the air conditioner, but it is a small window unit in the living room so I am not sure it would do much for the bedrooms if you needed it. Bathrooms were clean and updated, and had a comfortable amount of counter space, as well as drawers and cabinets if you needed more space. Laundry is in the unit, and soap was provided, so that was really convenient. There are a few boogie boards, life jackets, snorkels, beach chairs, and sand toys in the lanai storage cupboard for guest use, and a reserved parking space that is close to the stairs and elevator. Only a short walk across one road to the beach, and there is a crosswalk there with a pedestrian light to help with crossing. The local beach is beautiful with a soft sandy entry and coral-covered spits out on either side, making a bit of a bay. We saw a few variety of fish, and sea turtles were frequently seen too! The pool is pretty basic (and not made for lap swimming at all), but clean, and the gym isn't much more than you'd see in a regular hotel, but is a nice feature if you just want a basic workout. The condo owner is pleasant and fantastic with communication. We didn't have any issues that had to be dealt with, but I feel confident that they wouldn't leave you hanging if something came up. All in all, we had a very comfortable stay in a very convenient location, and I'd recommend it.

We found the unit to be spacious and well outfitted. I have no complaints about the site so there was no need to reach out to the property owner while we were there. We were notified of all aspects of our rental in a timely manner, that removes stress and got us right into the unit. Thank you Heidi.

The add states there is ac. There is a window unit in the living room, the rooms have a ceiling fan and some stand fans. Needless to say we were HOT!
The “new queen mattress” was dated 2016 and no sheets were found. My son 6’4” and I slept on the couch with no sheets.
When they say bugs they mean crazy ants were everywhere in the kitchen when we arrived. Took me about 30 mins total to spray for them.
The dryer was broken but the owner compensated us with a late check out (appreciated this). We had to air dry everything we washed.
Dirty silverware was overlooked in the top dishwasher rack.
The good: right across from the beach and last day beach was closed bc of 8-13 foot waves but they were cool to watch! Lots of beach items that you can use in the closet. There is a slight view of the water and the grounds were very pretty. Parking was easy.
One more thing Texans … you’ve got to wear your mask inside because they are super duper paranoid of Covid, it’s actually pretty sad to live in such fear.
If it wasn’t for the lack of “ac” we would return.

Perfect spot for our family trip. We would head out on excursions most mornings and be back at the condo by 1pm. Great location, very clean, safe, well appointed. Close to Waliea which is much more fancy but this serves its purpose. Pool was mostly for young children and the beach did get windy in the afternoons FYI. But we were happy with the accommodations! Would recommend to a friend for sure!

This property was better than I expected, and the check in process went smoothly. Stayed here for 3 nights and cooked most of our meals. It had everything we needed and more and had a great location. My parents rented another condo on this same property but unfortunately their condo was not as nice as ours and their wi-fi went out. Our wi-fi was fast and reliable. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved the condo! We travelled with 3 teenagers and the set up of the second bedroom with twin beds was one of the reasons we chose this place. Very clean! Has been renovated as well. Super comfy mattresses. Kitchen was well stocked and we ate most meals in the condo. There were plenty of items for the beach too. Would stay here next time we come to Maui. Heidi the owner, was incredibly responsive to my questions before the trip! Loved it !!

Perfect rental for 4 people (could sleep more). The location was absolutely perfect with very quick access to Kam3 beach and the great park above it. The property itself had everything we needed and more. There are multiple gas grills on-site along with very nice pool (we didn’t use because…awesome beach) are some amenities you get access to. Plenty of space and having washer/dryer was a life saver. Walking distance to multiple restaurants, bars, coffee spots, and the breakfast options (check out cinnamon roll). Beach gear already there including umbrellas, beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. Overall great place.
