The hosts, The Kennedys, were very responsive and provided great directions in order to check in and find the beautiful condo. We loved every part of our visit at Honu Kai Hideaway. It was classy, coastal and comfortable. We got to access restaurants, beaches and excursions through Turtle Bay Resort while resting comfortably in a quiet home. Highlights, just a short walk form Honu Kai, were: Sea Turtles, snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, running trails and sun! A true paradise. Our first trip to Hawaii was perfect because of Honu Kai.

HONU KAI HIDEAWAY provided a beautiful view of the golf course, flowers and flora along with the Ocean. We so enjoyed enjoying mornings and evenings on the deck! It was spotless upon arrival, well stocked, and spot on as to the description and photos on VRBO.
The hosts were excellent in communication and going out of their way to accomodate a special request of ours due to a wedding. If we are able to return to the beautiful island of Hawaii we would like to return to this

Great location in Turtle Bay Resort area near amazing beaches and restaurants. Washer and dryer in unit is great. Fully stocked kitchen. The unit is generall a bit older with some rotting wood window sills that could use renovating. The bedroom AC is also very loud. The key pick-up/drop-off process is a very minor inconvenience so just something to keep in mind when planning travel times to the airport, etc. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

We had a wonderful time staying in Hono Kai on our 12 day vacation at Turtle Bay. The condo was very well equipped, very clean, and a great location. The host, Brian, was very accommodated.
We hope to stay in Hono Kai again, if available the next time we visit Turtle Bay.

This is one of those reviews you kinda don't want to write because you kinda want to keep it secret. But, it's just such a nice place in such a great location, and the owners were so quick to respond to any queries that it's just not fair to keep it secret. The bed is super comfortable, you are within walking distance to both Turtle Bay beach, and other public beaches (current might be strong depending on time of year, know your limits in the water), lots of hiking trails, there's a fine pool (depending on the time of year it could be crowded), the kitchen has everything you need, you are 15 minutes from all kinds of food trucks. Pipeline is up the street if watching surfers getting pounded is your thing. To try your own hand at surfing, there's a very good surf school right at Turtle Bay as well. Also, the golf at Turtle Bay is wonderful (not cheap mind you! but a very nice course). With the windows open you can even hear the surf in the distance at night. The owners live on the island and clearly care about the experience of their guests with very prompt responses.

Drinking our morning coffee on the veranda, with the beautiful views and just the sounds of the birds is the only way to go. Instead of a cramped hotel room with thousands of other guests, we had this. Lots of room, air conditioning was wonderful. Whatever they say you need it in Oahu.That is the way to spend a vacation. We had the pool to ourselves. Minutes from Turtle Bay. All the best beaches close by, hiking, great food. This is our second stay in the Turtle Bay area. No place else.

This condo was exactly as listed! My husband and I had a wonderful and relaxing stay. The condo has a great location within the resort. It had a super comfortable bed, beach chairs that we were able to borrow and a relaxing lanai overlooking the golf course. We are already planning to book this condo again next year.

We really enjoyed this property. It was well put together with everything we needed and then some. The bed was super comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped. Even sharp knives!! We appreciated the vintage Hawaiian vibe the Kennedy’s curated. Breezes flowed from front to back keeping the space fresh and cool. Although we did take advantage of th a/c to sleep at night, so that was a bonus. Nice job Kennedy’s and thank you.

I really enjoyed this condo as it was conveniently located for getting to all the beautiful beaches and downtown Haleiwa. Awesome view of golf course and view to ocean. Also enjoyed the short walk to Turtle Bay Resort hotel and the beach there along with the pool side bar.

The location was perfect for golf, nearby food trucks, Kahuku Farms (try their banana bread, it's delicious), and a very short walk to the beach. Unfortunately the next door neighbors were loud (crying baby and screaming kid), but the owners can't control who the neighbors are. Most of our time was spent away from the condo anyway, except for the first day waiting for the airline to deliver a mishandled bag. The air conditioning in the condo worked great!

This is our second visit to this property and it didn’t disappoint. The grounds are beautiful, the hotel is a gorgeous place to enjoy coffee while watching the surfers and the sunsets are breathtaking. The North Shore has a lot to offer and this condo is the perfect spot to have as your home base.

The owners really made sure the process was clear and easy to follow. Had a minor issue at the unit during the week and owner was quick to respond and fix the issue.
Place is located right next to the Fazio golf course that is currently closed but they are maintaining the course except for the bunkers which are being renovated. Kind of nice to not have to listen to golfers playing through all day and I am a golfer. Turtle Bay resort is close by and I would recommend getting a pineapple martini while you are there.
Next time we come to Oahu, I would plan around staying at this place.

This was our second stay at Honu Kai Hideaway. It is the nicest, best located and has the best view of all the many condos we’ve rented at Turtle Bay over the last 15 years. The host Brian is kind, responsive and helpful. Everything you need is provided and recent upgrades make it even nicer.

The Honu Kai Hideaway is perfect spot for a Hawaiian vacation. The condominium was fantastic. We loved everything about the place. We loved how genius of an idea it was to have the wicker furniture in the living room. The condo is a nice walk to beaches. You can catch both a sunrise and a sunset from the point close by. We both really enjoyed Kawela Bay. We highly recommend visiting at sunset. The turtles would pop their heads up to say “Hi”. It was pretty great.
Thank you for a wonderful home to spend our Hawaiian vacation. The memories we have will be cherished for a lifetime.

We were kicked out of Turtle Bay resort due to construction. What a perfect find and it beat the resort price by far. Close to the beach and golf courses. Close to other towns, beaches, and food trucks (YUMMM) too. Having the washer/dryer and kitchen areas were perfect. Loved leaving sliding doors open at night for the tradewinds to blow through. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy.

Great accomodation, location and view! Our stay was very comfortable. The place was equipped with all the necessary amenities and was very nicely decorated. We had everything we needed for a perfect vacation and we could really feel that the owners care a lot about their guests!
