The Whaler is the perfect place to stay in Maui! Right on Kaanapali Beach and a short walk to Whaler's Village and restaurants. Beach towels and chairs are included in your daily resort fee which is a bonus. You can also rent umbrellas which I recommend due to the windy afternoons. We saw many TB umbrellas wrecked. The condo is exactly as shown in photos, The view of the beach, other islands and mountains is spectacular. You can watch the sunsets right from the beach or take a sunset or snorkeling sail that beach loads right next door. Condo was stocked with paper products which was a bonus. Having two full bathrooms was very convenient. Quick response from owner with minor issue. The oversized lanai was fabulous for morning coffee and afternoon naps. Be aware that this side of the Whaler is right next to a restaurant therefore it can be noisy at times. The grounds were beautiful and perfect for pics. I would highly recommend this condo for your vacation in paradise.

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo is beautiful and spacious for our family of four. George, the owner, is very responsive and helpful! This place has everything you need for a fun day at the beach. There are umbrellas, beach chairs, floaties and a boogie board. The condo is right next to a great outdoor shopping mall and some amazing restaurants. We enjoyed dining at the Hula Grill, Monkeypod Kitchen and Leilani’s. We would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous apartment right next to Whalers village. LOVED our stay. The apartment has everything you need for a great stay. Body board, sand toys, noodles, beach chairs, umbrellas. The beach is absolutely stunning. Highly recommend!

Our family of 4 loved this space, with beautiful views of both ocean and mountains and a large lanai. Just a few steps to the beach. The home is equipped with everything you could need, lots of storage and cupboard space, fully equipped kitchen, along with beach chairs, umbrellas and toys to enjoy beautiful Kaanapali beach. We loved being so close to everything! Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is easy and we also enjoyed the tennis courts. New Murphy bed and sofa bed were very comfortable for the two kids. We will be back!

This condo was a great option for our family (2 adults, 2 young kids). Had everything we needed. Kids loved the Murphy Bed and spray park at Whaler’s Village (outdoor mall next door). Adults loved having our room, beautiful view and big kitchen. Great time!

The property is exactly as listed in the photos. Very well stocked with everything you need. Location on the 6th floor was ideal. High enough for great view and sunsets but low enough to take the stairs or elevators. Been to the Whaler many times and the kitchen remodel and layout in this unit should be copied by other owners. Thank you for such an amazing stay!

Our family of five had a wonderful stay at George’s condo. We had a minor hiccup at check-in, but George is a great communicator and was able to make things right. We would definitely stay here again. It was nice to have some extra space, and the king size Murphy bed was great for our family of five. Thanks to George for everything.

Fantastic location with beautiful views of mountains, ocean and nearby islands. Easily walkable to restaurants and stores. Directly on the beach. As stated in other reviews, apartment decor is dated,, tile in bathroom stained, and towels are pretty worn out. Otherwise, highly recommend!

This is a great condo, especially if you’re a large family or looking to split costs. You can walk straight out of the hotel onto the beach, and it is right next to a shopping mall. It’s an older building - other hotels have fancier pools - but if you don’t care about that sort of thing, then this is the place to stay!

We had such a great time staying at the Whaler a place I grew up going to. We are a family of five and it was a bit of a camp out only having one bedroom, but there are two baths and the kids slept just fine in the living room on the murphy bed and trundles. We just left them down the whole trip and went down to the pool and spa and did the walk everyday up and down the beach. Enjoy all the restaurants and great beach. Best of the best :)

We loved our stay at The Whaler, and in this unit. The balcony was large enough to do yoga on, have family dinners, had a great view, and was cool all day. Inside, the beds were comfortable. The king size murphy was so convenient.
Unlike many rentals, this condo had kept items left behind by other renters. There were baggies, saran wrap, detergent, dish soap, salt, sugar, etc. Additionally, there was a nice collection of beach items that were available. It was so nice not having to go out and purchase all of those items for the week.
The beach access, Whaler Village, and ease of parking and access to the other areas in West Maui was great and so convenient.

The Whaler is one of our favorites on Kaanapali Beach. But some of units are getting older now and need some renovation. The location and friendliness of staff are awesome.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Whaler and in this condo. The owner is great to work with and the condo is phenomenal. The unit has a breathtaking view of the ocean and coffee on the lanai every morning was delightful. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. If your looking for a great place to stay and want a relaxing, worry free vacation then you’ve come to right place!

Even though I like the smaller and less populated properties You can not go wrong with this place. The room was spacious with plenty of sleeping options. The mall is literally next door and the hustle and bustle of Kanappali. The kids liked this place feeding the koi fish, snorkeling, pool, and mall close as can be. So many turtles by black rock and in the water. We left several nice boogie boards as we have no use for those in the cold Alaskan waters.
