The unit was exactly as described. It’s set back from the busy road and located in a small and very quiet complex, so it was a great space to unwind at the end of a long day. The pool and hot tub area was small, but perfectly fine for a quick dip. Friendly neighbors. More than enough dish and laundry detergent, and having laundry in unit was extremely useful for my family. My husband and I took the fold out couch while my parents took the bed. Both beds were about what you’d expect for a rental unit. My only tiny complaint is the pillows, when uncovered, showed some staining, as did the mattress cover on the main bed. Kinda gross. The bathroom shower could also use a grout touch up. Other than that, the unit was very clean, was not musty like some other rental units, and came with enough beach gear for 4 adults. The vaulted ceiling made the unit feel much bigger, and the lanai space was wide and a nice extra space. In a pinch, it’s fine for a family of four with the fold out couch, but probably better for a couple with one small child. Rental stock was low, so we were willing to make it work. Overall, great value, location, and home base for all our adventures.

Booking and arrival instructions were very clear which made accessing the unit easy. • Depending on the unit most times a code is used for access. • The amenities were awesome because I didn’t have to buy detergent, cooking spices, or blankets.• Don’t drink the tap water. I visited during September 2023 and although Lahaina & Kula areas were contaminated Kihei also got it bc my partner got a stomach bug plus headaches.• The day we were gonna visit the jacuzzi the jets weren’t on but we saw still green water which looked gross. Usually they notify via email ahead of time if the property’s being cleaned/maintained so we turned around back into the condo.• Don’t use the coasters. There were ceramic/print coasters in our unit but they fell apart when we tried removing them from the holder. Handled with care of course. • Bedroom a/c is on a timer basis. The first night we slept in the bedroom the timer scared me and I thought someone was breaking in. From there we slept on the couches or pull out mattresses.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kihei Bay Vista Condos. The accommodations are right across from a large beach and is a short 5 min drive into Kihei. Amenities are amazing and the place was very clean.

We felt so relaxed at the unit and the condo complex facilities that sometimes that we just felt like lounging around in the property instead of being out to places and the beach. Everything we needed were in the unit, from a kitchen complete with common seasoning racks and all utensils, to a full-sized washer and dryer. Unit is elegantly furnished and very clean, the furniture and appliances top quality. It’s truly home away from home.

Great location. Perfect for small kids. Able to walk across the street to see turtles and swim in Ocean with sea wall. Unit was well stocked with pool toys, beach chairs, towels, extra blankets and any kitchen type item you need. Food trucks, grocery stores and restaurants a short drive. The only down side was the propane was out for a few days so we were unable to use the grills and without the propane the hot tub was cold.

Finding, selecting, and booking were easy. Condo well-stocked with all you need, including beach chairs and toys and all the kitchen and BBQ implements you need. Located further north in Kihei which we loved for ease of access to hwy to go explore as well as quiet area with less people. Nice and peaceful, beautiful grounds were are impeccably maintained.

David’s condo rental was centrally located in Kihei and a close distance to a lot of great restaurants and stores. It had all the basic amenities and was spacious and clean. The only concern I had was the towels smelled a bit like mildew, maybe because they were stored when wet. The other would be the fact that there’s a 4 hour timer on the AC which makes it a little inconvenient when the AC stops in the middle of the night and you wake up sweating—just wished it stayed on a little longer to make it through the night. Otherwise, great place—we appreciate them sharing their space with us.

We always stay in this area but it was our first time at Kihei Bay Vista. Our condo was spacious and comfortable with updated finishes. AC in both the main living/kitchen area and in the bedroom. Lots of extra pillows and bedding. The washing machine was so quiet that I had to check twice to make sure it was still running. Our lanai overlooked the pool and the unit is towards the back so there was no road noise. Would 10/10 recommend.

C-206: PROS: The unit we stayed in it was nice and private. It was properly stocked and was as per photos. It was central to all we wanted to do. The appliances were up-to-date and functioned well. The internet was great and televisions worked well and were connected to cable. As well there was a DVD player. The washer and Dryer worked very well. The air conditioners ran well and provided us with cool rest. The air conditioner in the bedroom was on a timer. Every four hours. However it did not bother us and was easy to use. The air conditioner in the living room worked well. We cooked a few meals and the stove functioned well. The lanai was private and had a nice table and chairs as well as a rack for hanging things. Stocked with beach chairs and an umbrella though the umbrella is partly broken CONS: The tile floor appears to need to be grouted and some tiles are loose. The floor was dirty and needed a mop. The bed though comfortable is at the end of it's life. The toilet is a small toilet, old circular kind, still worked well just a little bit small. The caulking in the bathtub need to be redone.

We enjoyed our 4 nights at this condo. It was updated, just across the road from the beach, and fully furnished (with extras, like beach chairs, towels, and an umbrella too). It had a nice patio/balcony to eat on and see the water. However, we wish the a/c would have been on when we arrived after a very long travel day, with a toddler, from the mainland. Instead, it was over 90 degrees inside. The a/c itself looked like it hadn't been cleaned, so my husband was trying to clean it up (to help it finction/work better), while I was trying to get our toddler ready for bed. It could have used some cleaning under the couches and bed as well. Overall, we would recommend this property and stay there again. The rental company sent detailed emails and handled the rental process very efficiently.

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. The location and price were family friendly and the pool area was great. There were beach items provided (5 beach chairs, a boogie board, a cooler, and pool noodles), which was great for us! The only things to note are that the air conditioner outlet in the bedroom is on a four hour timer that you have to manually reset. We would wake up very warm in the middle of the night needing to turn it back on. The other thing is that the dishes are not microwave safe, so you can't warm food up on them.

I have used VRBO rentals on all the Hawaiian Islands over the last 20 years. This was a nice condo, as advertised, with only minor issues. There is a large rooster population on island, about the bedroom window of this unit, on a private lot, are several caged chickens and roosters. They begin to crow between 0200-0400 every night/morning. They continue through out the day. Otherwise, a bad GFI outlet on the patio, and limited kitchenware (no dish towels, little leftover containers, overall very basic) we’re the only real gripes.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable for our group of 4. We were just happy to have found such a tidy place and then we discovered the beach chairs, mats, umbrella and cooler! These extra perks really took our satisfaction to another level!
Thank you to our host for providing these extra amenities that we were not even expecting. I would highly recommend this place to others for their stay in Maui.
Note: the bedroom does get hot when the ac is off (and the a/c is on a 4-hour timer—very clever for saving energy if you ask me). Unfortunately, the window does not open in the bedroom since the ac unit is installed there. Just something to keep in mind.

We love staying at this complex because it is more old style Hawaii, and is centrally located to all the amazing snorkeling spots. The grounds were well kept (despite the afternoon trade winds), pool was wonderful. Just a short walk to watch the sunset! Everything was streamlined from check in to check out.

The good:Great location. Right across from a small park and beach that’s great for kids. Came with lots of beach equipment to use like chairs, umbrella, mats etc. Pool and hot tub were in excellent condition. The bad:Unit needs a little upkeep. Tiles lifting from the floor, warped doors in the bathroom. Shower head spraying everywhere due to deposits which is probably why the door was warped. The ugly:AC unit in the bedroom was connected to a timer that would only work for 4 hours. Most people sleep longer than that so having to get up in the middle of the night to turn it back on was awful. So the bedroom would get hot during the day, it would take hours to cool down, then you’d have to get up to keep turning it back on. Overall a decent place to stay in an excellent location very close to pool and beach.

Nice and quiet. There were no kids around, all adults were well behaved and the pool was a sedate experience. The unit was clean and well stocked with everything you need to cook and enjoy the beach. The few negatives, but nothing that would stop me from booking again:It could use a few more washcloths and some of the floor tiles are loose, and the inside of the washing machine smelled terrible.

I enjoyed my stay here overall. When searching for air conditioning as a filter I didn’t expect a rolling unit but that’s ok. The condo’s flooring needs some love as it’s missing a ton of grout and there are loose tiles. I also would have appreciated extra garbage bags to make it easier to clean before we headed out. Overall these are small complaints and the place was a great fit for our trip.

The stay was exceptional! The rental unit was well kept, clean, and had everything we needed - from beach equipment, kitchen utensils and cookware, laundry pods and dishwashing pods. The only downside was that the air conditioning unit in the living room filter light was on and cable TV was a bit confusing to use. Overall, the location was great - easy access to the beach (across the street), and local restaurants within minutes down either sides of the main street. Will be staying again!

The beach is right in front of the property and it’s one of our favorites from all the ones we visited while here. The view is so beautiful. The property was clean and sanitized when we got here. The pool and hot tub are a nice touch and the plants and palms are beautiful as well.

Cleanly space located in a great area in Kihei. Easy check in process and keyless entry was great. It was convenient to be across the street from a small beach. Parking was simple and easy. Only concern was the A/C in the bedroom was on a timer and would only run for a maximum of 4 hours, so it required turning in again in the middle of the night.
Overall would recommend to anyone staying in Kihei and looking for a central location.

I would give this property a 5 star rating if it wasn't for the hide-a-bed. Upon pulling out the bed the evening we arrived, we found a bolt was missing which caused the head of the "bed" to be collapsed onto the floor. Management gave us an air mattress to use until the hide-a-bed was repaired. The bed was not repaired during our 10 night stay. Had the bed been repaired, it still would not have been acceptable because the mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. For this reason, I recommend the hide-a-bed be replaced rather than repaired. The air mattress took up the rest of the living room, making that space unusable. We asked to be moved to a different condo, but none were available. Our teenagers did not complain much about the inconvenience of having to sleep on an air mattress that deflated and had to be filled up at least once every night, but I imagine any other adults would not have been gracious about the situation. The bed in the bedroom was very comfortable. The 2 air conditioners did an adequate job for the mild July weather we had. The location is good and out of the way of the real touristy parts of Kihei. There was plenty of parking at the complex. For only one or two persons sleeping in the bedroom, this condo would be great, but if you plan on using the living room for a sleeping room, I'd look elsewhere. A minor issue that did not really bother us was the vertical blinds in the living room and the bedroom could be replaced because of missing or non-functional slats. Beware the door code was deactivated about 10 minutes before checkout time. I tried to go back to take a final look but found I was locked out. Fix the bed and the blinds and leave the door code activated until actual checkout time and there's nothing holding back a 5 star review!

overall, it was good experience, location was perfect, kitchen had all the amenities for great cooking experience. It had Beach chairs, umbrella, pool noodle, boogie board, which was nice. Had some small inconveniences - the WI-FI was not working day 1. Contacted Maui Rental and call was returned next day. Figured the power plug was not plugged in. The pullout bed was broken and uncomfortable. Ended up moving the mattress on the floor. There were bed bugs in the living room sofa, so avoided sitting on it. Master bedroom AC was on 60-minute limit wall timer, which was a minor inconvenience. TV/cable router has issues at time where even though both were turned on, the channels won't show up and needed power cycle.
