Our spacious, airy, cathedral-ceilinged condo is centrally located in the town of Kihei, in sunny South Maui. It's in a great location, 200 yards to Kamaole I Beach Park, and within walking distance of many activities and restaurants. A rental car is not necessary, but it's best to have a vehicle if you want to explore farther afield.
PLEASE NOTE: Our condo is NOT wheelchair accessible, and access may be difficult for anyone with mobility limitations. There is an elevator to the fourth floor, but you also must climb a flight of 9 steps to get to the elevator, plus 3 sets of 6 steps (a total of 27 steps, divided over 4 stairways) to get to our front door, because of the unique way the complex is terraced up a hillside. Once inside our condo, the only stairs are from the great room to the loft. Our condo is the furthest one from the elevator for the A/B buildings, which is good for privacy, but please keep this in mind if you have any accessibility concerns.
Please also note, our nightly rate is a flat rate for up to eight people staying in the condo. There are no extra "per person" fees for more than four or six guests, as some other places that sleep eight will charge you.
The condo is a roomy 1145 sq. ft, plus two lanais with ocean and mountain views. The large main lanai opens from the great room (living room/ kitchen/ loft); it has a dining table and seating for eight people. The second, secluded lanai opens from the master bedroom.
There are two private bedrooms. Each has its own air conditioning, ceiling fan, king size bed, large window, and large closet. The master bedroom has a flat screen LCD TV, and en suite bathroom. The second bedroom is next to the hall bathroom. The third bedroom is an open loft over the great room (living room and kitchen). It has air conditioning, two ceiling fans, full-height ceiling, a full size bed, a twin-over-twin trundle bed, and a flat-screen LCD TV. It is accessed via a straight flight of 12 carpeted stairs. The living room also has a queen size sleeper sofa.
There are two recently-remodeled full bathrooms with granite counters and travertine marble tiles. One bathroom is en suite to the master bedroom, with a large vanity and separate room with toilet and double-size shower stall. The second bathroom is in the hall adjacent to the second bedroom, and includes a full tub/shower combo.
There is air conditioning in each bedroom and the great room/loft; a well-equipped kitchen; full size clothes washer and dryer in the unit; all bedding/linens, bath and beach towels; free, secure Wi-Fi internet; three flat-panel TV's with cable; three iPod dock/radios; and a home phone with unlimited calling to the US, Canada, Mexico, and US territories (Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Northern Marianas/Guam, American Samoa).
The grounds include a pool, hot tub, sauna, two gas grill-equipped BBQ areas with picnic tables, lush landscaping, and free, unassigned parking (maximum of 2 vehicles per unit; renters may not park in areas designated for Owners only).
The complex does not allow pets.
Our condo unit is completely non-smoking, including the lanais. In the condo complex, all of the common areas/public areas are non-smoking, except for two designated smoking benches, one in each parking lot.
The condo association enforces 'quiet hours' between 10 PM and 8 AM, which makes for very peaceful evenings - a good thing, since there are so many available daytime activities, you'll want to be well-rested!
