Very pleased with the condo, it was lovely and well appointed. The location is walkable to beach, shops, restaurants—super convenient and yet quiet. I am 70yrs old and tend to overpack, so my only difficulties were the maze of stairs and walkways and limited parking near the elevator.

The location is good, in between Foodland and Kam 3 beach. It’s walkable to Kam 1 beach. The unit itself is comfortable. It is not so hard to find the unit after the first time, there is a geometric structure to the building that can be figured out.

Condo was in great location, you can walk 1 block to the beach. There are also several place to eat right next door. The condo has everyting you would need for your stay. Fully equiped kitchen. I stay in hotels several times a month for my job, staying in this condo was much nicer than a hotel room. Definitely would stay there again next time we go to Maui.

Overall this place was really awesome ! The pictures should really be updated to more clearer quality to match the listing . Check in was easy and quick and the place was clean, cool Hawaiian theme and lots of useful items ; beach towels , umbrellas, coolers, hats and more . However the biggest downside of this place was the shower which is used daily in our case . The water never got warm once and on the last day it even flooded the bathroom and was a hassle to deal with while packing . It seems the plumbing was just outdated.

Maui was magnificent! We traveled the island seeing surfers to turtles to waterfalls to sun rises and sunsets! Ate lots of great food and enjoyed the welcoming Hawaiian culture.

Great condo with all the accessories! Only problem is the AC unit has an intermittent grinding noise when it operates. Have to keep bedroom door closed to drown out the noise. Only used AC while sleeping, condo stayed cool during the day. Otherwise a super place!

The unit has been well cared for and the interior is nicely appointed. Everything we needed for our stay was there in quantity and quality.
The only small problem we had was solving how to get to the unit. This has nothing to do with the unit itself, just the way the overall property was built and a lack of signage along the way. I recall reading prior reviews noting a similar experience, but once found all was very comfortable. We would certainly stay there again and/or point friends to it.

The apartment is dated - older equipment, towels, etc. No coffee, no shampoo or conditioner. Rentals Maui were not responsive enough - office was closed before 3:30 pm and we had to call several times to get somethings done.

We had a great stay at David's place. The location is great being right across from the beach, the unit was large, bed was comfy and kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need and more. We appreciated that there were plenty of beach supplies and especially appreciated the thoughtfulness of a beach cooler for drinks and snacks. My only note is that the house cleaners did startle us coming into the unit about 15 minutes before our check out time while we tidying up. Not a big deal, but did give me a good jump scare! Regardless, we would definitely stay here again.

Very comfy condo with all the amenities you could want. Fully stocked kitchen, very nice bed, bedding and soft towels, beach umbrellas, chairs, boogie boards, large tv. It was the perfect condo for us. Note that you have to take about 6 short flights of stairs to get here. We liked the exercise, but that could be a problem for some. Price was good, location near beach can't be beat. Walk to the stores, restaurants, shops. Nice pool, jacuzzi and sauna.

Unit was on 3rd floor with access with a elevator. Bed was comfortable and was a king bed. Kitchen was very well equipped with all the gadgets for anyone who enjoys cooking. Would definitely recommend this unit to anyone.

The unit needs some TLC..a fresh coat of paint would help. Rentals Maui was a pleasure to work with, efficient and professional.

Having been previous owners of a Kihei Alii Kai condo from 1978 to 1996 we knew the property intimately and this was probably our 50+ visit to Kihei and Kameole Beach 3. That said, we love coming back every year and enjoy staying at different condominiums and units on each stay. We have not been back to Kihei Alii Kai in a few years and were pleased with the upgrades to the complex; the pool and BBQ deck were great! As for the unit A305 it was also great! We had a minor disappointment on arrival in that the patio door to the lanai was jammed shut and arriving after 5 PM it was hard to get someone out; the air conditioning (which we hate to use as we love the natural trade wind cooling) came to the rescue and cooled it down quickly and comfortably. The next morning the maintenance person from the rental agent was there early and quickly fixed the problem. The unit was well stocked, very clean and everything else worked fine. We loved the way it was decorated and it had one of the more comfortable beds that we have experienced in Hawaii, a big plus for us seniors! Of course, the access to our favorite beach, shops, and restaurants (Cafe O'Lei, Ami Ami, Maui Tacos, the shave ice place nearby, Senor Frog's for breakfast, and the cinnamon roll place and Lappert's ice cream). Overall, it was a great vacation, as usual, and I will recomment the unit to anyone heading over there (also, I felt it was very reasonably priced!).

We found this unit and condo to be a great option for our stay in Maui. Our family rented two units through different sources. We loved the location in Kihei as the beach was easily accessible as well as many great restaurant and activity options nearby in walking distance. The area was safe and the buildings well maintained. We found both units to be in good condition. This unit in particular was well maintained and directions for using the unit easy to follow. It was also equipped with anything we might need during our stay. The cost of the unit was also very affordable compared to other options. Although the unit was clean overall, the floors must have been missed upon our arrival. Our main concern with this unit is it is not friendly for anyone with a mobility challenge. Located on the third floor, there is elevator access but the way the units are laid out, after using the elevator, there were still multiple sets of stairs to climb to get to the unit. This also makes getting luggage to the room a bit challenging. Moving between buildings to get to rear parking lot, where we could find parking most of the time, also required climbing multiple sets of stairs. Thankfully this wasn’t an issue for us, but our mother was not able to visit our unit during our stay due to this issue.

Any pricier and it might be too much. This is priced perfectly for this convenient location, directly between Kamaole Beach Park I & II. Great beach directly across the street less than a 5 min walk down the hill. Solid restaurants and stores nearby for any meal and basic needs. Confusing condo layout takes some getting used to and the elevator isn’t conveniently located, but these are small knocks on a great place. Minor notes: ice maker doesn’t work so grab a bag, and the AC doesn’t really blow cold. We just kept the sliding door from the lanai open. The shady breeze through the screen proved fine. Great spot!

Great place. AC was not great but the ceiling fans helped a lot. Love the location. Building, grounds and pool area are very nice! I love that they hose down the walkways at least once a week. The pool area looks newly renovated. Great pool and hot tub. Nice size for both. Hot tub wasn’t too hot. I would stay again and would recommend it.

We love this area of Maui & the location of this condo is centrally located & a block away from a beach & store. The lenai Is great & has a nice mountain view. Once we found the apartment getting in was a breeze. It’s a little bit of a maze with the way the buildings are designed, but that also creates a lot of privacy in the condo.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week and loved this unit. The space was perfect for the two of us and the location cannot be beat. We loved being able to walk less than 2 minutes and be on the beach, and the convenience of being able to walk to restaurants and shops nearby. Since the AC is only in the living room, the unit doesn't really cool down fully and the bedroom can feel pretty warm. We loved that beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards were all provided for our use. We were able to find parking in the front lower lot most days of our week-long trip. We had an excellent stay and would 10/10 recommend!

This rental condo is the best place to stay in Kihei! This condo has everything you could need for your stay. Just add food! I loved the convenience of its location to stores, restaurants, coffee huts, and best of all: the BEACH!!! I would love to stay here year after year. Be sure to rent a car though.

This property was recommended to us by friends. It is just half a block from the beach and we enjoyed a leisurely walk every morning. There are numerous restaurants and shops close by. Cafe O Lei is excellent.The condo itself is spacious and nicely decorated. The lanai is huge with a lovely view of the West Maui Mountains and sometimes fabulous rainbows.The kitchen is adequately stocked but some utensils are very dated. The king size bed is welcome and very comfortable. The room could use new flooring. The bathroom definitely needs upgrading. The building has an elevator, then a system of walkways and stairs to get you to your condo. It is very inconvenient when you have groceries and suitcases. Parking is also a problem. While there is a lower lot spaces are limited. The upper lot is also a pain. As renters we are not allowed to park in owner spaces even though the owner is not there. I gave this condo a two for cleanliness and maintenance because it is dire need of upgrades which include “deep”cleaning. It is no reflection on the person cleaning as the unit had been properly cleaned and supplied when we arrived.Rentals Maui are very professional and staff very helpful and pleasant. We did have a couple of process issues which were dealt with immediately. Thank you Rentals Maui.Since we now know what to expect, we would probably stay here again.

Very nice unit, very clean and everything worked, EXEPT the on-demand water heater was not high enough capacity. Water was either warm in a trickle, or cold if you wanted more pressure. Parking for buildings A&B was cut in half by labeling 50% of the spaces for OWNERS only. They will tow you if you park in an OWNERS space. Yes, there was an elevator BUT, there were 9 stairs to get to the elevator, and 12 more to get to this unit after leaving the elevator. Access to the parking registration OFFICE was blocked by sidewalk construction for two days until they finally moved the SELF registration forms by the pool. (They don't tell you it's self-registration until you search for someone in an office only to find it's in a small nook and you do it yourself.) Photos of the short walk to the beach don't show the hill you must walk down and back up to make the round trip. It is not a good place if you have any problems with stairs or hills. The unit itself was very nice, nicely furnished and well stocked with dishes, utensils, etc. Nowhere in the ad did they warn you about any stairs or the limited parking. If you have to park in the upper lot (Buildings C&D) it is a hike to get to buildings A&B.

Kudos to the owner of condo A305 for providing all the amenities needed for quests to enjoy their stay in Kihei. Location can't be beat as we were just across the street from a great beach. The beach chairs and umbrella made our excursions to the beach all the more pleasant. The only downside to an otherwise great experience is the car parking is extremely inadequate for guests staying in condo buildings A or B. There is a small parking lot near these condos, but half of it is for the owners, leaving only about 15 slots for guests of these two buildings. The only other parking is at the opposite end if the condo complex adjacent to buildings C and D. This means quests must walk about 400 yards to their condos when they must park in this parking lot and are staying in buildings A or B. This really is a major annoyance and a major reason I would not stay at this complex again. In addition, this complex is not up to code for ADA (American Disabilities Act), and probably doesn't have to be because the age of the complex. There is no way to avoid steps, even when taking the one elevator at the end of the building.

This unit is definitely one of the better units I’ve had the joy of staying in. Really nice furniture and art work. It doesn’t feel like your typical vacation rental. The only minor drawback is that the air conditioning unit is located in the bedroom and it doesn’t adequate cool the bedroom at night when you’re trying to sleep. The sofa bed in the living room is excellent which is where we ended up sleeping the entire time.
