Kiahuna Beach House
Aloha. Welcome to the beach condo we call “OCEAN BLUE”.
This spacious beach home has a 2 LEVEL OPEN FLOOR PLAN with 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms. It is a rare gem among the condos of the Kiahuna Plantation Resort because it doubles the square footage of the one-bedroom units and sleeps 6.
Step inside this beautiful home located in building 37, #243 and you will know that you are in the tropical paradise of Kauai. The new interiors were inspired by the cobalt blue of the Pacific Ocean. The interior is high design with ocean inspired artwork from exclusive galleries on Kauai. The acacia tree wood dining table adds modern elegance. It seats up to 7 people with the added mango wood bench. There is no a/c, but wooden fans in every room add a cool breeze to the tropical trade winds. This is our personal home for part of the year and we have given it that extra touch of comfort and elegance.
It is intended that you relax and enjoy this beach house. Everything you need is included in this home: linens, bedding, and a fully equipped kitchen. There are new mattresses in every bedroom. Beach chairs, towels and sand toys are complimentary to our guests at the Beach Hut - no need to pack them. We provide free high-speed Internet and 3 flat screen TV's to give you the comfort and services that you expect in a resort. Wi-Fi service in our condo is included at no cost. Although we do not have a wash/dryer inside our condo, there is an onsite coin-operated laundry for the guests.
Feel free to sip a tropical drink on one of our 2 lanai porches and enjoy our Hawaiian garden view. Lanai patio furniture provides the opportunity for outside dining and lounging on the two lanais next to the swaying palm trees. This resort is on a 35-acre, beautifully landscaped property; it is so different from the other resorts on Kauai. From the first floor of our home you can walk out onto manicured grass that will lead you on a short, tropical stroll straight to the golden sands of Poipu Beach. We leave our shoes in the condo because the walk across the spacious open lawn is so gentle.
When you are not in the protected ocean cove of Poipu, go swimming in a pool! Membership to the Poipu Beach ATHLETIC CLUB AND FAMILY POOL is included with your stay at no extra charge. This is a family friendly resort pool with waterslide, waterfalls, jacuzzi, and sandy shore baby pool. There is a poolside bar and grill that has reasonable prices for a convenient meal. The athletic club features exercise gym equipment, tennis courts, basketball and pickleball courts (with complimentary racquets and balls). Don't miss the monthly concerts on the athletic club’s lawn. Yoga classes are offered. The Kiahuna Golf Course is located across the street from the resort.
The Plantation Restaurant is on the grounds at Kiahuna where you can eat on the veranda overlooking the water features of the koi pond and the incredible orchid garden. Many restaurants are across the street in the Poipu Shopping Village. Keoki’s Paradise is a favorite eating establishment of ours for a special dining experience. Also at this shopping village you will find gourmet gelato, hamburgers, Thai food, a cafe', groceries, Starbucks, and Keoki's Paradise with live music.
Travel a couple of blocks down the road and you will find The Shops at Kukuiula. This is an enchanting place with live music at night, gourmet restaurants, Lappert's home ice cream/specialty coffees/pastries, a food market, a Long's Drugs, art galleries, high-end shopping, and twinkle lights on the palm trees. On Wednesday afternoons you can shop at the Kauai Farmer's Market.
You don’t even need to get into your car for the duration of your stay at this resort because everything you need is just a stroll down the road.
The Travel Channel named Poipu Beach “America’s Best Beach” and we can see why. http://www.poipubeach.org/beaches/poipu-beach/ This beach is pristine with soft, clean sand and easy wading into the waves. Walk slightly east around the beach and you are in the perfect place for snorkeling. So many fish! My granddaughter and I wade into the water to our waists and are surrounded by fish!
If you are looking to bask in the sun, the south side of Kaua’i is known as the “sunny south shore”, so you are in the right place to be warm and enjoy the cove of Poipu.
The only thing we are missing at our "ocean blue" condo is YOU! Welcome to the Garden Isle! Mahalo.
