Ocean views from all rooms, feels like you’re floating over the water. Plenty of space. Saw turtles and whales from the lanai. Awesome tradewinds kept things cool. Melissa was always quick to respond. Beds were comfy. Furniture could use some updating. Whaler’s general store, shops and restaurants nearby. Parking space is tight.

We had 4 adults stay, and 5 other family members visit. There was plenty of room to spread out. Lovely bedrooms, and fabulous views from the balcony, where we enjoyed looking for turtles every day. Everything was clean and neat.
Property was being worked on while we were there, lots of new plants going in, so I'm sure it looks even better now. The parking garage is kind of a tight fit, if you have an extra large SUV.
Melissa was very accessible, responsive, and friendly. We had a terrific stay!

Our experience regarding this condominium exceeded all our expectations. This 8th floor penthouse offers not only a spectacular panoramic view of the ocean, it also provided us a very comfortable home setting which included a well appointed kitchen, an inviting family room to relax in as well as plenty of windows that allowed the sea breeze to flow thru the place making for a very pleasant stay. Not to mention the calming sound of the waves crashing along the shore line making for a delightful nights rest. Yes … I was impressed and would certainly stay there again in a heartbeat.

We loved our stay-the condo had everything we needed for our family vacation and Melissa was super communicative. The unit was exactly as described and perfect for our family. The views are the real star here-unbelievable and will be sorely missed when we get home! The pool was great-BBQ’s available and the whole vibe of the property is relaxed, quiet and friendly. I literally have nothing negative to say about this place! The first night we were here, there was a crazy windstorm and it was loud against the windows, but the rest of the nights were fine. It knocked out the power for a short time and the internet went out. Melissa was fantastic, even calling the cable company and helped me get it working. The cleaners forgot to separate the king into twins for us, and they were back to fix it within 15 mins of my asking where the twin linens were so I could do it, and she was really kind and apologetic. We packed chairs and inflatable boogie boards but didn’t need them because there were some here. The lanai with lounger was a DREAM. We saw whales, turtles and even a dolphin from it. Super close to Kapalua Bay, which is our favorite snorkel spot. 10/10 would stay here again.

Everything was exactly as advertised. Corner unit was perfect for my family if four. My sons are 18 and 21 and there was plenty of room and great views. We would most definitely consider staying at this property again I'm the future. Owner was very responsive and helpful throughout. 5 stars all the way!

Our stay at this condo was absolutely wonderful, the view was amazing. We saw many whales and turtles out in front of the condo every morning. The condo had everything we needed, the trade winds kept the condo quite comfortable and great for sleeping. Our host Melissa provided great information for beaches, activities & restaurants and provided great communication. We would not hesitate to stay at this condo at the Hololani Resort again. This was our second time staying in this condo. The view just can’t be beat and the space is perfect for our family of four. We had an issue with the oven not working. Communication with Melissa was great as she tried to find someone who could fix it. Unfortunately parts has to be ordered and so we did not have an oven. But Melissa did what she could and made sure a toaster oven was delivered to the condo which we did appreciate. I’m sure this will not be an issue for future guests. We definitely hope to return!

We loved our stay here, the location is amazing and the views are outstanding. The condo was clean and plenty big with everything you need. The only negative would be the lack of curtains in the master bedroom, it’s quite bright at night, otherwise we couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more.

Description was accurate and the view is amazing. It was a bit warm without the AC but we expected that. The pool and BBQ pits were awesome and to our surprise it was a short walk to a sandy beach. Loved this condo as a family friendly destination.

Manager is excellent. Place is older but you will not get a better view in Hawaii. The space is huge and the view is from every room. The only thing missing is AC, which we did not need as we went in December, and had great breeze feom windows, but could see the need in hotter months.

We loved our stay here! Amazing ocean views! We saw tons of turtles from our lanai every day and a few whale spouts. I can only imagine the show we would have gotten if we had come in full whale season!
The condo, while a little dated, was extremely clean and had everything we needed and more. Our favorite thing to do when in Maui is relax on the lanai and the bed on the lanai is so comfy you will want to take a snooze out there!
Check in was easy, location is great, Peking convenient and host was responsive when we needed anything. We had a great time and wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

We really enjoyed this condo. Top floor, corner unit, amazing ocean spot. The condo does not have A/C but that did not bother us. Make sure to bring your own coffee and shampoo as those were not supplied. But everything else that we needed was there! Including very thick towels.

Sign where we parked underground"Please keep front and lanai doors locked ---at night don't make yourself an opportunity for a burglar" Sign in elevator " in case of emergency in elevator first don't panic then push buttons lower panel.This will call emergency help then call office. My partner is deaf and reads lips. We left for another VRBO as she was afraid to use the elevator and we were on the8th floor. There was no air conditioning. The temperature was 85 and the fans and auxiliary fans were totally inadequate. There was no curtain in the master bedroom. We asked for a refund for the 7 days we were not there for bur paid for. They only gave us a one day refund but should give us a refund for the other 6 days. I would strongly not recommend this place.

First of all the view is beyond stunning! We saw lots of turtles right below us in the surf. Even saw a large pod of dolphins feeding and playing in the distance. Next stay will be during whale season! The condo has everything you need to have a comfortable vacation. There was a plumbing issue in the condos below us when we got there, but was quickly resolved. Many thanks to Melissa for keeping us appraised of the issue. Check in and out was seamless. We had such a wonderful time here and it was hard to leave. Looking forward to our next stay here.

First off, the house has a beautiful view of the two islands. And we saw turtles right from the lanai on more than one occasion.
The two bedrooms are decently sized, however the front bedroom has sliding wooden doors so a little less private, all this is mentioned on the listing.
The pictures don’t do justice to the view as it is something you have to experience.
It is a little far from East side so keep that in mind if you have a lot planned on that side.
There are literally miles of beaches just a short 10 minute drive away

The pictures on the listing are accurate. There is no A/C but we left the front door open and locked the security screen to let the trade winds blow through and it was great! We stayed two weeks. The location is great for snorkeling as there are great beaches nearby.

The best part of about staying here is the view. This is away from all the business of the hotels. It is clean and cozy. The deck view is amamzing. Within walking distance to Maui Brewing Company. We either went swimming in the pool or snorkling.

The Bad - dirty, broken window screens, worn & stained carpet, just generally outdated, Lahaina address is misleading as the property is much further west and closer to Napili so the drive to anything is lengthy

Not knowing much about Maui I am so glad we picked this location, easy to get to places and many options in a short drive. My wife and I celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary and her 54th Birthday! Such a memorable vacation and thanks to Melissa for providing such a lovely place for us to spend our time. Nice roomy balcony with great views, loved hearing the sound of the waves crashing on the shore every morning. My wife is already asking when will we be back, aside from the 11 hours of plane rides its a no-brainer!! It was a pleasure booking through VRBO and working with Melissa on the details of the stay, couldn't be happier with our decision.

We really enjoyed our stay at Melissa’s property! It was perfect for our family of four, we spent a lot of time on the Lānai in awe of the amazing view. All the necessities to spend a week at the beach were provided from chairs, towels, snorkel gear, etc. We ended up being there when Hurricane Lane was passing through and Melissa let us stay a couple additional nights at no charge. We were so appreciative of her generosity. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Maui!

After a 5 hour flight with a toddler. We went to Costco and got a ton of food. Came to the condo and the elevator did not work! This condo is on the 8th floor! We had to make countless trips, I thought I was going to pass out from exhaustion going up so many flights of steps. They said it would be fixed the next day. It started working. Then broke again. This happened over and over throughout the 6 night stay. On top of that one of the toilets would barely flush. The water pressure was weak. Plus there were ants. Oh and to top it all off the water shut off the day we left from 9am-12pm, when check out is at 11am. So have to wake up even earlier to shower. There is also way too many house rules at this place. Can’t even play Marco Polo in the pool. The only thing that this place has going for it is that the bed was comfy and the amazing view. We are beyond dissatisfied with our stay with the elevator situation. Okay if it was one day but it happened our ENTIRE stay! Try hauling a baby, all the equipment (car seat, stroller, etc.), food, luggage up all these steps. I have bruises on my arms trying to carry everything up 8 flights of stairs. Not what you want to do on your vacation. Don’t book here! Not worth it.

If you don’t want to mess with all the tourist at the local hotel this is the kind of place you want to rent for vacation. The condo is close to everything so it has everything you looking for. Very comfortable retreat with a very nice view of the ocean and sunset. Cool breeze and wave crashing onto the beach all day long, it is what living in paradise is all about.

We originally were going to The Big Island and changed our reservation to Maui due to poor air quality on The Big Island from the volcano. We felt so lucky to be able to find this lovely place at the last minute.
The views are absolutely spectacular from the deck (lanai) of this condo. Many evenings we were blessed to watch the sun set behind Molokai. And each sunset was different and equally stunning depending on the cloud coverage. We could also see the turtles below hanging out in the water by the shore. We also snorkeled by the condo and I saw an eel.
There is a really nice table and chairs and a great lounging couch with colorful toss pillows on the lanai that could in theory be slept on overnight for brave souls who do not mind a few small flying insects. We had a praying mantis that parked on the ceiling of the lanai some of the days we were there. When he would fly away the geckos would come and we would periodically hear them chirping throughout the night, which was really cool. They sound like birds.
There are two king beds- one is located in a bedroom and one is in the open area of the condo. Both beds have ocean views and there are also two bathrooms which is nice. Off of the bedroom is a large closet with a washer and dryer.
The common area has a pull out sofa which we did use as there were five of us. It wasn’t bad to sleep on, and we all took turns sleeping on it.
The kitchen was well stocked. The only problem we had was that the coffee maker wasn’t working properly so we bought and donated another one because we wanted to brew our own coffee and drink it on the lovely lanai each morning.
The pool area has a grill and ocean views and we enjoyed our time there. The only real complaint I would have is about the elevator which goes out periodically then takes about ten minutes to reset. That either needs to be made more clear to the guests or replaced altogether. We had to huff it up eight stories one time because we thought it was broken because it wasn’t responding. Thank goodness my 84-year-old father-in-law is in relatively good shape. It made us a little gun shy of the elevator.
While the interior could stand some updating, that wasn’t very much of a concern for us as the view from the lanai is hard to beat. If I could have given this place 4.5 stars I would have. However I didn’t see that as an option. All in all we would stay there again- mostly for the views!

We totally enjoyed this condo with two master bedrooms and amazing views of the ocean, Molokai and Lanii. We saw a sea lion and a turtle right from the lanai. Our location in West Maui was serene and low key.. The best snorkeling beach was a mile up the road. It is definitely a great location and accommodation.
The only things that we would have changed is that the king had a space where the twins joined and could have benefited from a topper. Also, the microwave didn’t seem to work so well. We were able to grill and cook several times, as there were plenty of cookware and dishes, enabling us to enjoy the fabulous sunsets.

We had such a great time. The views from the huge Lana’i are amazing, we could just watch turtles all day long. The pool was nice and warm. There was a little beach that was on the property that was perfect for our family. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. Hope to come back again.
