This condo was in a perfect location to be at the beach in several minutes, and was exactly as described in the listing. The condo worked perfectly for a family of four to enjoy our time at the beach, all while being able to return and make our own meals in the kitchen. The condo contained everything that we needed. Having the cabana was really nice as well. I would agree with some prior reviews that a few small updates, such as a new sofa and mattresses, would make this place top of the list, but overall, I feel that we received an excellent value for the price that we paid. I will note that Hurricane Dora knocked out power to the condo the last 2 days we were there, but obviously that is no fault of the owner. She actually texted me to see how our family was handling things, but unfortunately, we had no cell service until we left the West Maui area and I didn't receive the message until that time.

The property is great in terms of amenities, cabana, fitness center, and pools. It’s an easy jumping off point for many activities. The unit was a nicely located near the beach. Comfortable and a good fit for our family of 4.

We loved our stay! Everything needed to help our family have a comfortable and pleasant time. Not only was there a separate room with two beds, there was also a partition that separated that room into 2 separate areas. So helpful when your child is still needing regular naps. Excellent location, short walk to the beach. Janet went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience! Allowing us to check in early when our flight arrived and being understanding and flexible with our checkout due to the active volcano eruption on our home island. Janet checked in with us throughout our stay and notified us of anything impacting our time. Mahalo nui Janet for a wonderful experience!

Our family enjoyed our stay at this condo. We generally stay in south Maui and visit Kaanapali area for the day but decided we would try a few nights in Kaanapali this trip.
This condo is very spacious, the pictures online don't accurately capture just how large this unit is! We were pleasently surprised with the size. The lanai is also quite large with a nice view overlooking the golf course with a short walk to the main pool area and to the beach.
Beach - we didn't utilize the "cabana" at all. The beach area was quite erroded and the cabana itself was nothing special and could use an update. The lounge chairs are the old, slotted chairs...not comfortable at all. Apparently there was a golf cart that would shuttle guests to the cabana area, we never did see it. We walked through the Shearton to Blackrock and enjoyed that beach immensely. It was about a 10 minute walk...about the furtherst we would want to go with all our beach gear.
Pool - we loved the main pool area...it was great for the kids. We did check out the two other pools on property, they were much more quiet than the main pool so a nice option to have.
Condo - Large and spacious but in need of a renovation or at the very least an update/ refresh. While we were comfortable, things like sticky cupboards, chipping paint and rusting bathtubs/ faucets do require attention. This property has such great potential if a bit of updating was done. The condo has many extra items like snorkel gear, chairs, coolers, boogie boards, books, games etc.
We dealt directly with the condo owner Julie on a few occasions. She was great to deal with...very responsive, attentive and accomodating.

This unit had all of the amenities we needed. The kitchen had all of the appliances and dishes we would have at home. It had beach supplies for us to use. The sliding divider between the beds really made it seem like a two bedroom unit. Parking was easy and we were located close to lots of activities. The beach, cabana and golf cart service to and from the beach was fantastic! We would certainly book this unit again!

Excellent location to walk to Whaler's Village or take a bus to Lahaina. Lots of restaurants, bars and shopping nearby. Great snorkeling area when the waves aren't too rough. The pool area and grounds are very well kept

Our family really enjoyed our stay. Check in/out, parking, access, air conditioning, kitchen - all worked very well. 45 min from the OGG airport, 7 min from a Safeway. The unit is efficiently designed and we liked being able to partition the beds with the accordian separater. Used the washer/dryer several times (laundry pods provided). Black Rock is an easy walk so I went snorkeling almost every day. Whaler's village about 0.5 mi easy walk with a food court and fancier restaurants. Sunsets were spectacular. Also nice to sit outside in the early morning, sipping coffee, relaxing. Thanks Janet!

The resort is beautiful and the condo is in a great location with a nice view of the golf course. The resort appeared to be pretty full, but it was still pleasant and quiet. All of our needs were met. There were plenty of supplies (TP, trash bags, soap, etc) and the accordion room seperator wall was great in the bedroom. Owner is very nice and easy to work with. Would love to come back someday.

I searched all over for something to accommodate my family of 5. I'm so glad I found J104. First off, the location and beach cabana are amazing. This is my favorite beach on the island and it's a SHORT walk from your door (or, an optional golf cart ride). You can probably find a more fancy condo, but what this may lack in fine decor, it makes up for in every other sense. The place was nicely stocked with a bunch of things that made it feel like home, including all the necessities (like boxes of tissues) and even fun toys and snorkeling gear for the beach. The divided bedroom gave us enough privacy for changing clothes, etc, and ALMOST makes it feel like 2 bedrooms. The accomodations at Ep Dorado are fantastic. We ate at fine places in Maui, but our favorite meals were buying some chicken at the grocery store and grilling it on the deck. After all the great things that we adored about this place, the best feature is an owner who is super responsive and ban excellent communicator and so accommodating. Janet was amazin. Certainly the best owner we've rented from. We emailed a few times with quick responses and awesome accommodations for us. Highly recommend.

Janet's condo was perfect for our family of 4. The location cannot be more perfect! 5 mins walk to Black Rock beach where we swam with turtles! The property was dated but clean. It had everything we needed for our stay. The area felt very safe. The sliding doors opened to the public area but because of the golf course right in front of it, it felt private. Janet was also very communicative throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend Janet and her property to all my family and friends visiting Maui! Thank you again for a wonderful time in Maui.

Beautiful property in a great location. From the beginning the owner/property manager was very responsive. The actual unit is in a prime location facing the golf course and a short walk to the beach. The unit could benefit from some updated furnishings but the bed was extremely comfortable. We slept well each night.

What a fabulous place to stay right next to everything but far enough off that no one‘s walking past and interrupting the laid-back Hawaiian vibe. Absolutely love this condo, The people connected and neighbors to it and all the fabulous workers at the El Dorado are amazing. Grounds are clean and perfect and then to top it off to have the beach cabanas with a full kitchen towels bathroom anything you would need perfect!!!!!

This Eldorado Condo was great for my family. It was a nice home away from home for my husband, myself and our 3 kids. Two teenagers and a middle schooler. The location of the unit is probably one of the best in the complex. Short walk across a beautiful golf course to the beach and black rock. Also easy access to the pool. The unit is a bit dated but still quite nice and we loved the accordion doors to segment the space at night and open it up during the day. There was plenty of pots, pans, dishes, and towels. And there were extra goodies like snorkels, boogie board, ice chests and beach toys. Only two small complaints: there was only sheets and one thin blanket available for the sofa bed so my daughter got a little chilled. And although we rented the unit for 8 days, we spent 2 nights over in Hana and we didn't have enough toilet paper for the 6 days we were there. It was unexpected to run out and the front desk does not supply it. There was NOTHING in the unit to use as a substitute which is quite unpleasant. So we had to make an emergency run to the store. I expressed my disappointment to the owner who responded kindly but unsympathetically. However, even with my two small complaints we had a fantastic time overall and we are very grateful to have stayed in this condo and would stay again. It really was an awesome and much needed vacation for our family.

Short walk to incredible snorkeling, copious dining options, and a well maintained multi mike beach walk. The condo itself is acceptable but what you are paying for here is the location. FYI: the front desk charged a $60 fee plus $18/day in resort fees which was not included in the fees paid through VRBO.

The condo worked well for our family's needs. The location is terrific. Within the complex, it is close to parking, gym, and main pool area. Beyond that, it is close walking distance to the complex's beach cabana, Black Rock beach, Whalers Village, and everything the area has to offer. The unit itself is well-equipped. There was good selection of dishes, pots and pans, and other kitchen essentials. Bedding and linens were easily accessible. Big shoutout as well for stable, high speed internet. We also enjoyed spending time on the lanai. Our kids also appreciated the green space, just outside the door. Our host was also easy to contact and accommodating with our requests. Overall, a good value unit!

It was such a great first vacation out of this pandemic. They had so many great beach amenities, the location was right between the roof top pool/spa and beach, and everything felt so safe! Great to have a full kitchen and the grocery store was very close.

The location was great! They have tons of beach toys and all the cooking supplies you might need. The sliding divider between the beds made it actually two rooms. The owner was very helpful when I called to say the door was a little hard to lock. She had maintenance people come within an hour and they did a great job! Front desk people were very friendly and helpful. Check the fridge for condiments before you go to the grocery store, they had a ton!

This vacation condo was awesome. When I first reserved this condo I was a bit worried that it would not be big enough. It was going to be six females. The pictures didn’t show the exact size of the bedrooms and there was only one bathroom, but we were pleasantly surprised at how large it really was. Even though it says it’s one bedroom there is a divider that makes it two good size bedrooms and of course the couch pulls out into a full size bed. We had no problems with one bathroom which is surprising as we had 4 - 20 year olds. The best part is that it was a 5-7 min walk to the beach where you can snorkel. We had the best surprise when we encountered turtles. We will definitely rent this condo again!

Being a former owner of an Eldorado unit, we always stay there. J104 is the best value we have found. The location is outstanding being so close to the beach and to the parking garage and the main pool.

J104 was a great value for us. The location was very convenient for our family traveling with two young daughters. We were close to the beach, which did not feel overcrowded, and the cabana was extremely useful. It has great proximity to Whaler’s village and shopping. There were 3 separate pools to choose from and one had shaded areas in the afternoon. The property itself is beautiful, well manicured, quiet and not overcrowded.
I believe the condo itself was thoughtfully provisioned and one of the more convenient buildings on the property. Beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, frisbees, coolers and other toys were available to us in the closet. I’ve been to condo rentals where you need to buy everything beyond one roll of TP and one paper towel roll provided. The kitchen was provisioned with cooking basics (spices, oils/sprays, condiments, coffee) so that we didn’t spend a fortune on those items plus food. The bathroom had bandaids and some basic medicines and enough paper goods to last the trip. Having done condo rentals before these small conveniences really are so great and save so much money. We cooked almost all our meals in the condo.
The condo itself has more dated fixtures and furnishings which I knew before renting it. It was also clean and comfortable. The owners are very responsive and were easy to work with throughout the rental process. We would be glad to stay again in future.

We love the Maui Eldorado! This condo is spacious and the location is wonderful. Lots of amenities, such as boogie boards, snorkel sets, chairs and umbrellas to use. The problem of mold in the shower, air vent and kitchen (the fridge, blender, sink) was awful. We did email the manager and she sent the cleaning gal who came by and cleaned a little. Who doesn't see this when they clean? This is mold that has been there quite awhile. The condo also had quite a musty smell that was noticed by others who came by, not just us.

We had an incredible Hawaii vacation and made lots of new friends around the pool. The condo worked great for our party of 4. The locks/clasps on the dividers did not work, but we used hair ties to ensure that they were closed with no gaps. A little trouble with the A/C as we had a member of our crew that went in and out of the sliding doors a lot. If the doors did not connect just right, the A/C would cut out and you would have to reset it. Would not be a problem with less door use. Will definitely rent again if returning to Maui.

My husband and I had a great stay in this unit. The unit is set up for a comfy beach get away for families--it has everything you would want to take to the beach. We didn't utilize the boogie boards, etc. as we are two older adults. We went to the pools on the property which were clean and inviting. The electric barbecue on the lanai was a plus--we used it several times for fish and steak and it worked wonderfully. The grounds are beautiful. To get the local shuttle from the unit all you have to do is walk over to the Sheraton Hotel and catch it. We also went to the Fairway Shops up above that has CJ Deli and Roundtable Pizza and we bought several items at the Whalers General Store. We walked to Whaler's Village for happy hour and it took us 18 minutes from the condo. The new pool atop the garage is really great for families--we saw many people with young children really enjoying themselves. This is a good take off place if you want to explore the island and have a ground base. Very relaxing and everyone around was super friendly. The beachfront cabana is a five minute walk from the condo. The attendants there were very accommodating and many families were taking advantage of the fact you can take your food/drinks down and put in frig. We saw families taking down bags of food from CJ's Deli for lunch.
