The condo was very spacious and made us all feel at home. We had an amazing time whale watching from the balcony. The papakea property is very clean and well kept by the complex. We would stay here again 10/10! The property owners were very communicative!

The condo was in a great resort (awesome location, not too busy, awesome staff), incredibly clean, and you can’t beat the views. Lisa and Ben were very communicative, especially appreciated since we came a few months after the awful fire in Lāhainā.
My son (6) loved the resort pool, the view of the ocean, and the beach toys the condo has.

This was our second visit, and we had another wonderful stay. The air conditioning updates made the condo more comfortable temperature wise this time around. We utilized some of the beach gear they provided (boogie board) which made snorkeling with a 5 year old much easier! We will be back again! The view from the balcony never gets old!

We have stayed at the Papakea for the past 20 years and always in the L building. The condo has everything you would need plus more. It is nicely furnished and very accommodating.
The AC is a big plus but if you want to enjoy the sounds of the ocean from the condo, Just prop open the front door and open the patio slider and a great breeze will keep you cool.
Maui is our favorite island and I am sure it will be yours too. We will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful place to stay- great location and amazing views! . The condo was walking distance to restaurants, grocery and food trucks and a short drive to Kaanapali and Lahaina. The condo was so clean and nicely updated. Very well stocked with kitchen equipment and beach stuff. The a/c worked very well and the beds were comfy. There isn’t much of a sandy beach there but there is one accessible right next door and we found some great beaches and snorkeling a short drive away. We would definitely stay here again the next time we get to Maui!

The owners are fantastic. The unit is pretty nice, with a couple of exceptions. Kitchen cabinet door that would not stay closed. Ran out of toilet paper half way thru the stay and had to buy more. Air conditioner does little to nothing to affect the inside temp, but you can open the sliding door and the back bedroom window to get pretty decent air flow. Bed in second bedroom is not very comfortable, meant for kids I suppose who care less, but the mattress pad kept sliding all over the place and the sheets had a whole in them. There is a mirror over the toilet in the 2nd bathroom, which is a horrible placement, especially for a guy. The screen on the sliding glass door is coming off/is ripped next to the left frame (this is a pretty easy fix, someone just needs to do it, I do them all the time at my rental properties). The T.V. in the bedroom and the living room use the same remote, and frequently mess with each other when both are in use.
I consider most of that stuff somewhat trivial annoyances, but things that should be addressed.
The reason we won't be staying here has less to do with the unit, and nothing to do with the owners (again, they have always been great). But when I went to book it for next year, the price has gone up P. I just can't justify that much of an increase, and even though I can afford it, I will look for accommodations else where next year, heck, might just try some where besides Maui next year.

All I can say about the view is WOW! From the living area to each of the bedrooms, the view can't be beat. The master bedroom is very spacious and accommodating. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and enjoyed relaxing in the captain's chairs on the lanai. We appreciated the access to the pool and all the extras for our time on the beach. This condo is close to everything and located on a beautiful golf course area. The one thing I wanted to let the owner know is that it looks like maybe at one point someone left the living room window open and some moisture accumulated causing some mold to form on the wall by the window. Not a big deal but if I was an owner, I would want to know. I would stay here again.

Gorgeous view and location. The property Papakea resort has excellent grounds, lots of green trees and lawns compared to their adjacent resorts. Resurfacing by the resort management will enrich the overall appearance. A special thanks to the host. Of all the condo vacation rentals in last 25 years, his attention to my needs, Ben stands out. Example, for a special sleeping bed on the floor for my back pain, etc.. Master bed and the second bed where my wife and daughter slept were both very comfortable The condo itself has lot of extra provisions like beach chairs, filter water jug in the refrigerator, etc. etc. The condo was very clean. However, furniture was little dated. Location to go to all eateries, shops in Kaanapali, Lahaina are very close by. In my next visit, we will definitely stay in this gorgeous, condo .

The view from this condo is what sets apart from others. Views of Molakai and Lanai were breathtaking.
We loved going to sleep and waking up to the sounds of the waves.
The condo was very clean and well stocked with everythig you need.

This home was very well-maintained and clean. The layout was perfect with both bedrooms on either side of the living space giving privacy. Well fitted kitchen, games, snorkeling gear , boogie boards and beach toys .The view of the sunset spectacular. Grounds are well maintained. There is a wwwkly Lei making class; schedule before arrival as it does fill up. .Also, very convenient to walk to the grocery stores food trucks, the beach and anL&Lbarbecue. The only air conditioning unit as mentioned by others is a small window unit in the living room, which leaves the bedrooms at times uncomfortably warm at night. This was a great find!

I booked this one for my mom and adult daughter for the extra space while my boyfriend and I had a one bedroom on a lower floor. This higher unit had a better view for relaxing on the patio :). They had a wonderful time. The unit and amenities were great. Being in August it was a little warm and the air kept up but it was better if we closed the curtain in the bedroom during the afternoon and used the fans provided to keep the A/C moving into the bedroom.

The location was great! Had everything we needed from beach towels, to swim accessories, TP (2 rolls in each bathroom) beach towels, all kitchen appliances needed were there, bag of ice was nice, they have bottle wine openers, blow dryer, iron. The sunsets and rainbows were great in that location on lanai. The lane kinda warm on left since AC unit is there but not bad. Dried up are wet clothes fast placing it close to the AC unit. When you sleep you can hear the waves. Beach area is to your left. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Cabana by the pool is nice for bbq and has bathrooms. The only thing we had an issue was the mugginess in the rooms after a hot day being outside. Maybe a good fan to each room or mini portable AC for the rooms would fix that. The ceilings fans did not blow much air to keep cool. The AC unit is in living/kitchen room which felt great but didn’t blow into the rooms. Closing the blinds help but then you can view the beautiful ocean and palm trees. The snorkel gear might need to be replaced. Didn’t have attachments to the masks and they were all dirty and sandy. Bring laundry soap. They did have dryer sheets. The garbage disposal was out and we didn’t know until someone called me and said they were outside. we did have to go back to condo so people can come in and fix it… Overall great! The host were great and replied promptly. Thank you..

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our time at your condo in Maui. We would walk down the beach to the left of the condo or enjoy the pool. We especially appreciated the umbrella and chairs that were provided, and the view is amazing! Thank you also for all of the great information about nearby restaurants. We enjoyed the Hulu Grill at sunset thanks to your recommendation and went to Lahaina for surf lessons, dinner, and the Luau.

Check in was straightforward. Accommodations were excellent. Plenty of room, kitchen well stocked, comfortable beds. Lanai is 60 feet from the water. Woke up the first morning and took a cup of coffee to lanai to check out the view. Sat and watched whales for 90 minutes. Location is near a grocery store, pizza place, food trucks, gas station, etc. if we return to Maui, we want this unit!

This is a must stay property in Maui. Everything was just as described and fit our needs. Papakea is extremely clean and well spread out, it appears to be full by looks of parking lot, but the grounds are very spacious. The unit itself is fabulous it is truly ocean front, we saw hundreds whales from the lanai. It is stocked with all your needs including beach chairs and towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards. We enjoyed all the activities on property shuffleboard, pickle ball, putting greens, pools. Close to everything you will need for your stay. The food truck lot was a hit we would walk over, many options so everyone got their own to choose from, bring it back to the unit sit on the lanai for dinner and watch the sunset. Would stay here again.
