My husband, toddler and I had the best holiday in Kihei in large part because of our stay at this condo. We loved it so much that we hope to make this an annual trip! The highlights:
Location/walkability: couldn’t have been better. Directly across the street from a world class beach; a very short walking distance from a general store, restaurants, snorkel/water sport equipment rentals, and health food store; within blocks of an ABC store; and ~30 minute walk to Foodland. The best part is that the condo has a view of the water and sunset in the evening!
Pool: great sized pool that was never crowded and always had lots of seating available.
Cleanliness/comfort: the unit was clean and had cleaning supplies and vacuum available to clean up any residual sand brought in from the beach. The kitchen was fully stocked with kitchenware and Tupperware which made cooking and storing leftovers very convenient. The unit included a cooler backpack that was very handy for packing lunch/snacks for our daily outings. Beach chairs and an umbrella were also including which offered comfort at the beach and prevented us from having to rent these items. While AC wasn’t required during our entire stay, it was a luxury to have during some of the hottest afternoons when my toddler was napping.
Responsiveness: Bob was a delightful host and very prompt with his responses and with providing information.
We can hardly wait to return and make more memories! So grateful.

The condo is very clean, comfortable and well stocked with kitchen items/pots and pans. The ocean view from the lanai was wonderful. We enjoyed the stunning sunsets! This condo is truly in a great location. Many restaurants to choose from and shopping close by. A minute walk and you are sitting on the gorgeous sandy Kamaoele II beach! We appreciated Bob’s quick responses and clear communication. A pleasure to deal with. Easy check in process. We will be back!
(only con) Garbage/delivery trucks arrive between 3-6am at the restaurants next door. They are loud. But we were able to get back to sleep when they left.

The surfaces were somewhat dirty so we needed to do some cleaning, but that may have simply been due to the unit not having being rented for a long time, and dust and dirt settling from the air after the last cleaning?

Very clean rental unit with plenty of power plugs and modern upgrades. AC available but you won't need it, just crack a window open for cool air. Great location next to beach parks, local restaurants/cafes, ABC store and gas. Great view of ocean. Free parking next to unit but there's enough to do in Kihei that you won't need a car. 25 min from North Maui, easy drive. Bob was very helpful and communicative and has lots of recommendations.

Listing was as described. Bob had great communication. We had a nice time cooking breakfast in the pretty well stocked kitchen, and eating on the Lanai facing the ocean. An added bonus were the beach chairs, beach cooler & umbrella. We walked to a few places to eat, and packed lunch for a day at the beach. All in all a great stay.

Our accommodations in Hawaii have ranged from tents to resorts and our favorite type has been a place like this. It's the personal touches that make your trip so much better. Firstly, the condo is thoughtfully decorated and has a nice beach vibe. Second, accessories like beach chairs, umbrella, and a backpack cooler are super convenient. The timers on the AC are a nice touch too. Last, but not least, is the location. It's a quick walk to the beach across the street and we spent several evenings watching the sun set or just lounging there. Kihei has more to offer since we were last there 12 years ago. Not far from the condo is South Maui Gardens which is a nice place to stroll with coffee and food carts. The host is very responsive and he puts care into ensuring you enjoy your stay. We'll be back!

Beautiful 1bdrm, 1bath with well appointed kitchen, handy beach supplies (umbrella, beach chairs, coolers)!! Conveniently located just steps away from a beautiful beach & great place to watch sunsets over the ocean!! Variety of good restaurants, deli, cafe, coffee shop, shopping (ABC store), & beach supply rentals (snorkelling equipment), & discount liquor store, are close too! Pool area has lots of lounge chairs & a shaded area …… lady who works in office was super friendly!

The apartment is just a few steps away from a beach with beautiful sunsets, restaurants, gifts shops, and other commerce.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was so well equipped that we felt like we were staying at home. Things like a beach umbrella, beach chairs, cookware, spices, ice, TV with Netflix... And the list goes on and on.

Booked last minute trip to Maui. Found this nice condo in Kihie. It's across the street from Kamaole II Beach and close to lots of shops and restaurants. The condo had a partial ocean view. It was clean and comfortable. Complex amenities include pool, one parking space and laundry room.

We loved the view of the ocean from the balcony! The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and such and the bed was comfortable. The shower had great water pressure and there were plenty of bath and beach towels. The beach chairs and umbrella were very useful! The backpack cooler was handy as well! We enjoyed putting our feet up to watch TV in the living room. Wonderfully big and clean swimming pool. Easy to walk to multiple places to eat. The beach is great and never too crowded. Overall it was just fantastic!

Property was as advertised, across the street from a nice beach and several beach rental businesses, along with some good restaurants in walking distance (Moose's, Fred's) and a short drive to others. Must have Ululanis Shave Ice.
Two beach chairs provided, and plenty of cooking supplies. The sofa bed frame was uncomfortable, but we put the mattress on the floor, and got good sleep.
Bob, the manager, communicated adequately. The only thing I didn't expect was an additional charge of $280 for two friends who decided to join us about 10 days prior to our stay. (Another place we stayed this trip did not charge to add them.)

Where to begin… first of all, Kihei is incredible. The communication, professionalism & check-in couldn’t have been smoother - it was a great experience. We were looking for a place to just hang on our last day as our other unit was booked and our flight left at midnight. Had great communication. Unit is exactly like the photos. You get a great view of the sun setting from your lanai also all beaches are super close to walk to and you have Moose McGillycuddy's (Best Lava flow) and Freds Mexican Cafè right beside you with great happy hours and fun events thru the week.

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and we’re beyond impressed! Kihei is very laid back and much less touristy than the north-northwest of the island. We had a direct view of the water which was beautiful all day long, and we could watch the sunset from our balcony. We rented a car to do other activities around the island, but everything you could need is within walking distance! Bob was very attentive, responsive, and very knowledgeable. The condo had everything you could possibly need for your stay. We can’t wait to plan our next visit here!

Perfect rental unit that was near everything in Kihei you want to be close to for a beach vacation! Everything is within walking distance of the unit or easily accessible by car, uber/lyft or bus. We loved the location and its proximity to restaurants, shops, and of course the beach. Bob gave clear instructions prior to the stay, access was easy. The VRBO was very organized with notes and labels everywhere. There was even A/C units. Our stay was very comfortable and well resourced.
If I were to nitpick at anything, it'd be that the floors were very dirty. We walked around barefoot for a mere few minutes and found our feet to be black with dirt/debris. We had to use the swiffer to clean and even then, the floor wasn't comfortable to walk on.
Overall, I'd highly recommend. Everything you'd need is provided. If I may offer a suggestion based off of another VRBO we stayed at in Maui, it'd be nice to have a Brita in the fridge as well as shampoo/body wash in the shower.

A great little beach is across the street and many others just a short walk down the road. Restaurants and stores are close. The condo is in great condition - very clean and fully stocked with all the amenities. You can see the beach from the 2nd story lanai as you have your morning coffee. A lovely stay in Kihei!

The location of this condo is extremely convenient, especially if you don't plan on renting a car. The balcony is very private and the beach is visible from it, which is just across the street. Everything in the condo was very well organized and stocked with everything you might need (with the exception of shampoo). It was well kept.

My wife and I just spent a week in Kihei at the Condo. In summary, it was fantastic! We found the condo to be very clean, and functional. Though at first we were apprehensive about the lack of dishwasher and washer/dryer, we didn't find it to be a problem. We loved walking over to the beach in the morning and gathering along the wall to watch sunsets in the evening.
Couple of other helpful notes: They have great beach chairs and an umbrella which were awesome. And their beach towels were fantastic.
You wont regret staying here!

The place was very clean and the host was very communicative prior to our stay. We received several helpful tips for the area, and there were lots of amenities like beach chairs, dinnerware/silverware and coolers around the apartment. The keypad access to the was very convenient.
However we did have a few issues with roaches in the bathroom, and then with the bedroom's portable dehumidifier/AC which is on a timer. We ended up having to wake up multiple times in the night to run the dehumidifier or AC for a little bit because the room got so stuffy even with the fan (which could probably use a little WD-40 because it's very squeaky). However, the reservoir in the portable AC unit would fill up very quickly when you run the dehumidifier and it wouldn't run again until it was emptied but there was no way to access it. So we just had to deal with the stifling air.
One other suggestion I have is to just send one email with all the information compiled into it (even as attachments) instead of so many emails. It can become a bit hard when you're trying to comb through 10 different emails to find the information you need.
Overall, it was a very nice place and conveniently located.

The condo is centrally located, making it perfect for driving around and exploring. Or if you just feel like going to the beach, you can just walk one minute across the street to some of the softest sand. Don't feel like cooking? Walk a minute left and there's 5 food options. All being delicious.. walk 2 minutes right and get one of the best cinnamon rolls in your life. The unit is on the second floor with a balcony facing the ocean, making it a great place to watch the sunset. It has a full size fridge, stove, pots and pans with plenty of cooking utensils. The closet has towels (Beach and shower), sheets and blankets. It was extremely clean and and has everything you need to have a comfortable and successful vacation. The complex has a beautiful pool that's cleaned every morning. A laundromat which was awesome because I hate traveling with dirty clothes. There's also a rinse off station by the entrance of the complex to help minimize the amount of sand you track in! My family and I look forward to going back! Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us.

The 2nd floor condo is right across from Kam Beach II and near the rest of the action in Kihei. The patio has a nice ocean view. I was motivated on one occasion to join the paddle boarders and snorkels in the calmer morning water. The unit runs a bit hot in the afternoon/evening but the dual fans (ceiling and end table) made the bedroom cool to sleep in without running the AC. The beach chairs came in handy. The unit is well stocked with kitchenware. I wish we could have stayed longer.

This was our 5th trip to Maui and we always stay in Kihei. This unit was a perfect home base for our 10 day stay. The condo was clean and well equipped, the location across the street from Kam 2, can’t be beat. There are lots of places nearby to get a bite to eat and to shop. We enjoyed using the pool and it was an easy drive to other areas and beaches nearby. The afternoon trade winds kept the unit comfortable, and the view was great. I think Robert says somewhere that this isn’t the fanciest place on the island, but it’s the best deal, and I heartily agree. First off, the cleaning fee seems absurd but let me tell you the cleaning lady is earning her keep. This place was SPOTLESS. Yet it’s also obviously a home — it’s so nice to have cooking spray, Saran Wrap, olive oil, a melon baller! Everything you could possibly need in this kitchen. Second — a word about the decorating. This place is just beautiful, but in an understated way that the photos don’t capture. There’s not an ounce of pretension to this place, but every detail is just right. The tiling, the cabinetry, even the tchotchkes all match and contribute to a lovely, homey, yet very island-y ambience. Nice work, Robert. Speaking of which, poor Robert seems a bit anxious that his beautiful place might be trashed by inconsiderate renters, but I found his perhaps excess of communication much preferable to a dearth. At least he’s a real human— no faceless agencies here. A note about the location. This condo could not be better situated for Kihei. It is barely 50 feet from the large, simple pool, and just across the street from Kamaole beach. Let’s be blunt— Kihei is the simple, plain side of the island compared to west Maui. But having spent the second half of my trip there, if I did it over I would stay here the whole time. Half the price, none of the nonsense with traffic and absurd lines, manageable crowds. My kids, 6 and 8, adored this place and our time here. Rent it now! You won’t regret it!

I loved staying here! It was just right. The location was AMAZING, the place was lovingly updated, the pool was fantastic, and Robert was there to help with anything needed. The two things I would say are that it is quite noisy and bright, so bring an eye mask, and the air conditioner is great but has a tough time keeping the bedroom cool. Overall I would definitely stay again, even with those caveats!

You can tell the owner have been doing this for a while as everything is well organized and clearly labeled. The location is great because it is couple of steps from the beach. Just cross the street and you are there. Personally I did not think the beach was that great compared to other beaches on the island but to each his own. However, you can see some nice sunsets There are also couple of restaurants that you can eat at. There is a great shave ice and couple of food trucks that you can also get food from. We did not really stay much because we were out and about all day. The pool is nice and clean. There was a lot of places to sit when we got there. We did not know the code for the pool and we had to call and text the owner and the property manager but both did not know. But it is not a big deal at all. There is everything you need at the condo from beach chairs
( probably need new ones soon) to kitchen utensils. Now, here is a thing about AC. It is in the living room and not in the bedroom. We were able to sleep one night in the bedroom but we were exhausted that night and the weather that day wasn't too bad. But the next night even though the windows were open but it was very stuffy and hot. So we had to sleep in the living room the second night. Overall, good place to stay and I would definitely stay again.
