We were looking for a 9 day escape. This location was perfect. Access to a variety of foods, (smaller supermarket just across the street) excursions were reasonably close, very well maintained resort. Not too big, not too small. Just right. The road to Hona starts about an hour away, so travel for that experience will take a full day to get it all. Highly recommend the local food trucks (about 10 options) and the pizza place just across the road. Owners were great. They responded when I asked questions and provided a lengthy list of ideas to do while we were here. Condo was well appointed and clean. Niece / nephew had a great time here. Could not ask for anything more

Everything was in great order, the A/C being the main one in this summer weather. It was the little things that made a huge difference, they had two boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkel equipment. I didn't recall seeing a washer / dryer listed, but they had that too. The grounds had a putting green and the unit conveniently had a few putters available too. Little notes with instructions on how to use things shows care from the owners. A store, some restaurants and a great food truck lot with a dozen trucks within a few hundred yards was nice. The only wish we had was if it was on Napili Bay or Kapalua Bay, but then the price would be a lot more too.

Everything was great with our stay, from the location (close walk to stores, food and grocery), the resort property (with nice koi ponds, pools and BBQs) that was quiet and chill, the condo was clean and had nice additions like on-site laundry and lots of beach accessories for us to use. The beach in front of the resort was decent, but we found it better to drive 10 minutes north to a great public beach that had crystal-clear water, white beaches and turtles swimming in the water. It was an amazing trip and we want to go back and stay here again in the near future!

My husband, myself, and our two children had the most relaxing stay. The condo is clean, and it is a perfect set up for our family. We love having a washer and dryer and a kitchen. We love that the condo had boogie boards and all the necessities for the beach. It is in a wonderful location and we walked so many different places. Our hosts Jim and Jean were very friendly and quick to respond if we had a question. They also had a awesome recommendations for a local restaurants and things to do. The property was beautiful and so relaxing. We hope to come back again someday!

This unit is absolutely wonderful. There were several to choose from when I was looking, and I randomly chose this one. So happy I did. It was very close to the front desk, patio walks right out to the ponds/pool/mini golf area. The unit was spotless and had everything we needed, including beach chairs and towels. The water pressure in the shower was awesome. I didn't have to contact the owner at all. Everything I needed was provided ahead of time or was in the unit when we arrived. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

My family of 4 had a wonderful stay at this papakea condo. The condo was clean and well stocked. We did use some of the snorkel gear but rented a few pieces from Snorkle Bob’s across the street. We loved how walkable the area is. Walked to airport beach, food trucks, morning coffee/cinnamon rolls and fantastic Venezuelan food (Ms Arpeta’s). Such an easy vacation- definitely hope to return. Played pickle ball and shuffle board almost daily. Highly recommend

Great location and great amenities at the resort and the condo being on the ground level provided excellent access to the pool and ocean.

1st off, the pictures are very accurate and this place comes fully stocked! Beach chairs, lots of towels, pool noodles. This place is very much family centric and towards older adults. Very calm and safe setting. 10 minutes away from great beaches. 15 minutes from Lahaina. Lots of close by restaurants, food trucks and markets.

Our condo was exactly like described and the perfect size for two couples. Having the ground level is ideal as you can walk out and in two minutes be at the pool, hot tub, or ocean. Just a short walk on a marked walkway takes you to stores and in the evening there are food trucks. It was nice to have beach chairs and umbrellas ti take to the various beaches.

The condo was great, made our family vacation an amazing time. The ground level was very convenient as could go out the front door to the parking lot or walk to the ABC store, or go out the slider to the pool, BBQ, and ocean area. The condo was clean and beds were comfy. A bonus was the Tommy Bahama beach chairs, umbrellas and 2 smaller carry coolers that we used every day we went to the beach (I realize these are dependent on what the renters leave behind). Would definitely stay here again or recommend this condo to others.

This was not our first time staying at Papakea Resort but wow was it different than any other stay! We wanted a 2 bedroom as we have 2 small children. This condo was perfect! The space was more than we expected—the pictures don’t do it justice. The kitchen was well stocked with necessities and the closet had all kinds of extras (so many chairs!). We really enjoyed our stay and definitely saved this property for future trips! Thanks Jim and Jean!

Very nice place. Appreciated having extras like beach chairs,umbrella and fins. Although there was no beach right off the property was still nice to lounge and whale watch. Kitchen was well stocked and having washer dryer was nice as well. Mahalo. we had a great time

I’ve never stayed in a condo before but this worked out perfect for our family of four. First location, near the pool, near the ocean, and near the parking. Lots to do at the resort we did shuffleboard, tennis, pickle ball, swimming, and hot tub. Location was also fantastic as well there’s a grocery store in a couple minutes walk away tons of coffee shops nearby as well as a little food truck area that had a ton of different varieties that we ate at almost every night. The unit being on the bottom worked out perfectly because we could just walk out the back deck right onto the grass and leave our sandy stuff out there and enjoy the resort. Overall really easy to get to everything on the west side of the island and worked out perfectly

Plenty of things to make your stay comfortable. I really appreciated all the kitchen gadgets and massive amounts of silverware. I broke a snorkeling fin that I brought on the trip, but found spare sets in the room along with everything you could possibly need for a beach day.

Main reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the comfort level. The beds were great but the living room area was not quite up to par. Couch and chairs were uncomfortable and pull out was in bad condition. Beyond that it was very nice with the wide open space outside our door, two pools, koi ponds. Great place for kids!

We stayed with our 2 year old son and 16 year old niece and it was a blast! Great location near beaches, shops and restaurants plus the pool was right out the door and a daily must for our son! The space was clean, well stocked and in a great location. Thank you so much, we will be back!

This is a beautiful unit at the Papakea resort, spacious with two bedrooms with comfortable beds, two bathrooms, an in-unit laundry, amazing kitchen, and attention to detail in the lovely furnishings and decor throughout. We really appreciated that it is also cooled by three air conditioning units, one in the living area, and one in each bedroom.
We loved the garden view of the koi ponds, and the ground level access was perfect for our grandchildren.
The Papakea Resort is perfect for a family, with pools, shuffle board courts, tennis courts, and a putting green. We loved every minute of our stay, celebrating our 50th anniversary, and are looking forward to returning to this wonderful home in Paradise!

The owners Jean and Jim are great communicators and thoughtful property owners. We loved being on the ground floor w/easy, quick access to the pool and putting greens and beach! We didn’t hade to worry about our kids because we could see them easily and be nearby. Having a well-stocked kitchen, boogie boards, beach umbrellas, and golf putters all available at the unit was so helpful! We’d gladly stay again.
