We really enjoyed our stay! The location is great, the view (especially with the sliding doors wide open) was lovely. It took some time to figure out the AC situation and how best to make it work. Only downside for me was that my kiddo sat on my bed in her wet swimsuit close to bedtime, and there are no extra linens in the house, so I had to wait for the dryer to dry the sheet. Related, the dryer was extremely slow the first few times we used it until we realized the lint trap had two pieces and the second probably hadn’t been cleaned in a really long time. Once we got the second part clean, it was faster. (Still longer than most little dryers, I think because of the heat pump technology it uses.) Also, we only had 4 beach towels for a place with a 6 guest capacity. Overall, though, we had a really nice stay!

We loved this condo. This was our 3rd time at Maui Vista and this condo was by far our favourite. It’s a beautiful condo and it was spotless. The layout, the upgrades, the amenities all exceeded my expectations.

We came for 10 days with our daughter and her husband. No major issues with this unit at all. I recommend not closing the sun shade on the lanai all the way down because it traps the heat from the A/C which blows sideways across the lanai seating area. The lanai sliding doors are finicky to open and close. Have to make sure there is no dirt or debris in the track where it slides. Easy to correct by vacuuming out. It would have been nice to have the ice maker in the freezer working, otherwise you just to buy ice or continuously make it in the trays. A/C works very well. Everything was clean and well maintained. There's 3 good Tommy Bahamas beach chairs and one other bigger beach chair. There was an umbrella but not one with a good sand auger which is crucial to anchor when it gets windy so we decided to rent one. Lots of cooler options as well which was handy for excursions to the beach. The ground were well maintained as usual. I don't think we saw bug. Nice unit for a family of 4 or 5.

We stayed 2 weeks this time. Unit is very comfortable and view is fantastic. although it fronts S. Kihei Rd., the road noise was not an issue and the pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicle traffic actually made the view a bit more interesting.

The added amenities like beach chairs and towels and umbrellas came in really handy at the beach just across the street. We appreciated the AC and fans in the afternoons and evening! We were there when the fires destroyed Lahaina, and threatened Kihei. It is devastating to think that the town we visited Monday was gone on Tuesday. We got the text saying we were safe in our location. My only comment would be to request more communications, if possible. We could see the orange glow of the fires and we got conflicting information about what we, as visitors, needed to be doing. An antenna on the TV might be a nice addition to allow pick up of any local information available. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Maui! Mahalo!

We are a family of 5 with thre girls ages 9, 12, and 15. This rental was perfect for us. The condo it self was nicely updated and everything was well cared for. Great ocean view from balcony where we ate breakfast every morning. Location was perfect. Across the street from a beautiful beach and close to everything we could want. The town of Kehei was centrally located which made trips to the road to Hana, Haleakala, Lahaina, and golfing at Waimea easy. Would definitely stay here again.

After a week on Maui (first timers to Hawaii) we have decided hands down the best place to stay to Kihei. And the best condo in Kihei is this one. The view and retractable door take what is a very nice condo and put it over the top to amazing. We had that door open almost all week. I would not ever return to HI and get a hotel or condo WITHOUT a washer/dryer in unit. I never knew how much I would need that feature. The sand is invasive but easily fixed due to this being there. The AC blew cold, the hot water lasted, the property was well managed, manicured, and secure. Even the fold out sleeper sofa was comfortable! Just not one single disappointment, period. (Other than the Road to Hana, that was terrible, but has zero to do with the topic of this review. So I digress. Just know if you do the Road, there’s only 1 way in and 1 way back. Does not connect back to Kihei. You’ve been warned. Ha!)

Wow! We have stayed in a multitude of VRBO rentals in the Kihei area. This one is excellent. The remodel is incredible. The owners did not cut any corners. The panoramic door allows outdoor living. Split AC available if you are too hot. Fit 4 adults very comfortably. 10/10 recommend.

This was our third trip to Maui and this vacation home and its location were our favorite. The condo was clean, nicely furnished and well equipped. The location was perfect for exploring the island and for relaxing on the beach near "home". The beaches in Kihei are great and easily accessible - with a great beach right across the street from the condo. One of the best vacation homes we have stayed in and we would highly recommend it. We would definitely stay here again.

Way cute little place for our family. It was a warm week so we were so glad the A/C units worked so well. Remodeled nicely and a good use of small space. Thanks also for the beach supplies. It’s so nice to be able to have cold drinks and a place to sit at the beach. Plus there are tons of great beaches and food nearby. Great trip!

The condo itself is fully updated with full bifold doors to lanai, all new solid windows throughout which really keeps the noise out allowing for a better sleep. Kitchen layout is well thought out so several people can maneuver around the island with all new appliances. The bathrooms are excellent with removable shower head and excellent pressure which is important to me. The bedrooms are very well laid out with very comfy beds and AC units in both rooms. The street view from the lanai can't be beat and close walking distance to restaurants, shopping and of course Charlie Young beach just out front. Overall this condo is excellent and I already booked it for next year!!!

We stayed at Maui Vista for 3 weeks. It was our second time staying at this complex, but the first time in this unit. We love complex's proximity to Charley Young Beach.The unit was a 2 bed/2 bath and it beautiful. It was updated and very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. The biggest negative we have about this unit was the water pressure in both showers (it took almost 5 minutes to rinse the shampoo & conditioner from my hair). I called maintenance at the start of our stay and they sent someone, but even after changing the shower heads, there was no improvement. They were supposed to contact the owner about having a plumber come, but we had no feedback from them throughout our stay. Other than that we really had no issues.The lanai has a great view of the ocean and the complex is close to restaurants and shopping.

The sunsets from the balcony, the short walk across the street to a beautiful beach made this a perfect spot for our vacation! Also being so close to the food, shopping and bars made it easy for us to get everything we needed. The apartment itself was also very nice! Everything was brand new!

Nice and clean, up to date property on the top (4th) floor. Lovely to have meals on the veranda w amazing view of ocean. Only downside is the very busy and sometimes loud street separating the property from the beach due to heavy trucks roaring back & forth. If patio door is closed, it's very quiet.

The place was perfect for what we wanted. Location is pretty close to everything and across the street from the beach, we had a unit with a nice view of the ocean! It was very clean and had everything we needed. One thing is if you want quiet, it's not very quiet since the unit was facing a busy street, that did not bother us at all but may for someone else. The property was nice, well maintained. It had beach gear, We did end up buying beach mats and left them to add to the collection. A couple things may need updating like the shower nobs but again, didn't bother us, they worked just getting old. Overall a good comfy place, we enjoyed it! Staff was super nice too, they had to do some maintenance on the patio one morning, no worries on that either, guys were very nice and did their best to be quick. Definitely recommend Maui Vista!

Location is prime! Beaches and foodie places: cafes, food trucks, restaurants, ice-cream and shave ice shops, coffee shops and grocery stores are all conveniently close. The rooms and the space with ocean view on the lanai are amazingly great! The beach accessories are awesome to have - chairs, boogie boards, towels, cooler, and umbrella (snorkel gears too, did not use). Has A/C and washer and dryer!
Only 👎 The fridge definitely needs to be replaced. The sofa bed and the lanai furniture need upgrades. Did not use the pool. Too small and always occupied. Overall a great place to stay. We recommend it 👍👍

I've stayed at these condos before, and this one is definitely less nice and more dated than the other ones I've been to, but it was fine for my family with teens. The appliances are very outdated and the downstairs shower broken, but the place was clean and and well-kept! I would recommend it for a family trip.

This is a great location and nice view from the 4th floor. The kitchen was okay for cooking meals, enough pots and pans and appliances. Everything was in pretty good condition except the hide-a-bed. The couch was fine for sitting but very uncomfortable to sleep on. Other guests must have had similar complaint as there were two blow-up beds in the closet, which we used.

Closets and all dresser drawers filled with old linens, old bedspreads, totes etc…bottoms of drawers falling out. Kitchen with few matching eating utensils, dull knives and cheap scratched pots and pans. Cabinets filled mismatched dishes and stained glassware. Bathrooms old and outdated. Tub dirty and permanently stained. We are aware that the unit was recently sold, talked to new owner and plans to totally remodel. Would love to stay in this unit if cleaned up and repaired. View of ocean and lanai perfect for morning coffee.

This is our 4th stay in Kihei but 3rd time staying at Maui Vista condos. The location cannot be beat. It’s a short 3 to 5 minute walk from the condo building 1 to the beach at most. Also, restaurants and shops are a couple of blocks away. As for the condo itself, it is dated and it is in need of some updating to the kitchen, bathrooms and beds. Mattresses are not comfortable. But the pullout bed was surprisingly more comfortable than the beds. The cable tv did not work so we connected our laptop and streamed Netflix at night when we were winding down for the evening. They have a decent selection of board games. The location is its saving grace. However, since we have stayed at other units here in building 1 that were more updated and comfortable, we would probably choose to stay in one of those other units on our next trip back to Maui.
