The house was clean and comfortable and nicely decorated. We felt like it could be our home.

Just came back from spending a week on the Big Island. We had a wonderful time and loved this unit. It was the perfect size for a family of 5. It had everything we needed, and Larry was very responsive and helpful!

I almost don’t want to say how amazing our stay was to keep this gem to myself! If you are thinking of booking this house for your family vacation you should do it now! House is clean and perfect location close enough to walk to grocery store, restaurants, and beaches. I can’t say enough good things. We spent our mornings sipping coffee on the back porch overlooking the beautiful golf course and volcano. My daughter and I spent a lot of time walking the beaches and exploring. The house had plenty of room, beds were comfy and the house was clean. All of my interactions with the owner were very pleasant and I feel they go out of their way to help you and make everything related to the VRBO as smooth as possible! I hope our family is fortunate enough to come back and rent this property again!

Clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Even had spices in the cabinet and a few condiments in the refrigerator. Loved the outdoor patio experience. The bbq area was really nice and wind protected. The bird watching was amazing. Even had a view of the 5th hole of the Mauni Lani N. Golf Course and Mauni Kea. Great place We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this property as my son was getting married close by. We had our other 2 adult sons with us. Beautiful home. Had everything we needed. Pool very close. 2 beaches with great snorkeling within only 5 min drive.
Only issue was guest parking. Had to park by pool. There is plenty of parking on driveway.

Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. It is large and spacious and airy with high ceilings and plenty of space for everyone. The decor is lovely and well-appointed. The linens are nice. The towels are fluffy. The kitchen equipment is great. The house is really incredibly well-organized, neat and tidy (even the garage!) with absolutely zero clutter and the perfect amount of gear one needs for a great vacation. The kitchen is so perfectly stocked. We love to cook and everything you could ever want to cook three meals a day for a family of four is on hand in this kitchen. We ate on the lanai for most meals. My husband and I marveled at what a great rental this was for our family and what an excellent vacation we had as a result of being in such a lovely home. It’s well situated near a good supermarket (Foodland) and great beaches (Hapuna Beach is the best) and nearby hotels (Fairmont, Westin, Mauna Lani) for nice meals. Highly recommend this lovely, upscale rental.

We love this property! For my husband, daughter and auntie, we have plenty of space to relax, to eat together, to just “be” in paradise. Perfect location close to groceries, beaches and highway (for days of exploring the island). The owners and property manager are pleasant to work with. This was the second time staying at the property and we can’t wait to book again!

We had a great 8 night stay at this luxury house in Mauna Lani. It was wonderfully spacious for two adults and two children. The beds were comfortable, the living room was pleasant and relaxing, the kitchen was well supplied and easy to use, and the view of the golf course was calming. We went to the pool almost everyday which was a short 3 min walk from the house. We went to the Beach club a couple times and ventured to Hapuna Beach and Kona some of the days. The beach chairs, towels, and boogie boards were great too. Overall very nice stay - we'd love to come back.

We loved our stay. Plenty of space for our family with 2 older teens to spread out and have family time. Well-stocked, comfortable, clean. Thorough overview of property from both the host and property manager. Enjoyed the pool and gym on property.
Walking distance to the shoreline with many options for exploration. Access to Mauna Lani Beach Club for great snorkeling and great food. Many options for wonderful restaurants nearby, driving distance to farmer’s markets, and a local grocery store well-stocked.
3rd visit to the area in 4 years. This was our favorite home base. We hope to return very soon! A hui hou!

Have you ever loved something so much but don’t want to tell anyone because then the secret is out? Well, this is how we felt about Alohahale at Kulalani. My husband and I are frequent travelers to Hawaii but have always stayed at a resort. We decided to try something different and are really glad we did. This home is wonderful! It is immaculate with beautiful furniture. Heidi and Vince have thought of everything. It is well stocked with just about everything you ever thought you would need and even stuff you never thought you would need. Heidi was always very prompt to answer any questions we might have and Larry, the property manager, was very kind and once we arrived, a quick text was all it took for him to help us with a few things. Alohahale is in the Mauna Lani resort area, which is a beautiful area. It is close to the Mauna Lani Resort and the Fairmont Orchid. There are 2 wonderful golf courses in the same area. You also have access to a private beach club. The beach is in a nice cove with access to a restaurant. One of our favorite things to do, was in the early morning sit on our very private lanai with a cup of coffee and watch the sun rise over Mauna Kea while we listened to the birds. We were looking for a quiet, peaceful place to relax and this home was all that and more! Mahalo Heidi and Vince for sharing your stunning home with us. We loved it and can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful home in the best area on the big island. The HOA stuff is a bit much but work thru it. The garage is big so parking in it is easy. Lots of beach stuff and cooking in the home is great as there are lots of dishes and accompaniments. The grill cooks hot but is fantastic. Only downer for us was the temperature control. Try as we may, we never seemed to be able to get the temp down to 72 until early in the morning. The master bedroom is far warmer than the rest of the house so we slept with the bedroom door open and fans running. Made it through but for the cost of a week it was a let down to have to endure hot sleep.

Our family spent an entire month at Alohale and loved every minute of it. Mornings were coffee on the patio listening to the birds, often seeing the wild turkeys walk by. The house is very comfortable and very well equipped. Beach chairs and umbrellas are also provided for days at the beach which for us were many. Beds are comfortable, a/c is good and the location is perfect. If there was anything we needed Larry the property manager was quick to respond. This is a wonderful property.

Beautifully appointed and located property within the Mauna Lani Resort. A well-stocked kitchen and tons of beach gear provided everything our family needed for a perfect Hawaiian vacation. Views of sunrise over Mauna Kea from the lanai with a morning coffee provided the best way to start the day...after a good night's rest on a very comfortable mattress!!

There are many houses and condos in the Mauna Lani resort area, this property is in a fantastic location on the edge of a golf course with an unobstructed view of the Kohala Volcano. The patio is situated so that it feels quite private and the location was beautifully quiet. Kitchen is well equipped and we loved being so close to all the white sandy beaches of the South Kohala Coast. We enjoyed walking to the petroglyph park to watch sunset.

We had an amazing stay. We had our 2 daughters and their husbands with us as well as 1 infant. Your home is so spacious, we had so much room to all gather together or spread out and have our own space to read or relax! It was nice to have room to park 2 cars in the garage! Kitchen was nicely stocked with plenty of dishes and small appliances! One thing I saw at another rental a few years ago that I thought was a nice touch.. for condiments and shareable items left behind by other guests such as dressings, or any item that can be used by future guests, the owner had sharpies and had a note to date the item so the next people know when it was put there and we felt good about being able to use things left and it was nice to not feel like we should waste so much that did t get used. We always leave unopened drinks and things we hope will get used rather than tossed but it is nice to see dates.
We bought some Christmas decorations and left them in the garage in a white garbage bag up on the top shelf. Hopefully others can enjoy them in the future.
You were amazing hosts to work with! Thank you so much for your kind hospitality! Larry was also very kind and helpful.

We loved this home. It is very tastefully decorated throughout and the kitchen is particularly well appointed. It has a beautiful view of Mauna Kea. We enjoyed sunrise over the mountain every morning. We appreciated having a first-floor master and being able to park in the garage so that the car kept cool. It's also really nice having beach priveleges to the homeowners' club beach, which has excellent snorkeling.

Beautiful property, clean, spacious and quiet, just as described. Backyard faces a very serene golf course setting with Mauna Kea towering in the distance. Everything you need but the food is provided, i closing masks and fins for snorkeling at the nearby beach club. Pools and gym are a 2-minute walk away, well kept. Loved the jetted hot tub in the large master bath. We had an issue with the outdoor barbeque and Larry took care of it within hours of us texting him. Looking forward to our next visit. Mahalo.

Mahalo for such a wonderful home away from home. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the house, especially breathing in that Aloha fresh air in the mornings and evenings opening up the doors towards the lanai.
