Overall we enjoyed our visit. There are 2 things that could be improved to make the condo more inviting. First another lounging chair or 2 in the living room would be nice. With 4 people and 3 of us lined up on the couch and the other in a dining chair, it was less than comfortable. Also the lanai was narrow leaving our 4 chairs lined up in a row.

We loved this rental. It is right on a terrific beach and it has a great pool. Everything we needed was in the unit, including beach chairs, towels and floaties. It is also walking distance to groceries and restaurants. The host is very responsive. Overall, this was a very comfortable place to stay and accommodated our family’s first Hawaiian vacation very well!

This condo was perfect for a family of 4 and very convenient for lots of Maui adventures. The condo kitchen and living room has been updated nicely. While small the kitchen worked perfect for making meals and we all fit fine at the small dining table. The bathrooms and bedrooms were not as updated but were very comfortable and clean which is all we cared about. While we did not need it every day it was nice to have air conditioning on a couple hot afternoons.The location is great. We enjoyed the beach for sunsets and our daughters (8 and 11) were able to enjoy the surf several evenings. It is on the windy side and the water is more choppy so we also traveled to other Kehei beaches, just five minutes down the road, and 15 minutes further to Makena and Maluaka which were both fantastic. We did the Haleakala crater one afternoon and it was just over an hour away. We also drove up the west coast. Kehei was so central and easy for our jumping off point. Plus we had so many great restaurant and food truck options, plus groceries just up the road.The pool and shuffleboard court were also huge hits!If you are looking for simple, comfortable family accommodations, this is your place!

This property was in a very centralized location, was very clean, and had very nice finishes throughout. We really enjoyed watching whales on the front lanai while eating our breakfast.
The beach out front is great for walking and has a lot of coral; so I'd recommend just dipping your feet in but not planning to make it a destination for a family beach day.
Our biggest downside was the number of homeless people in the area. I was told the nearby church provides meals and support for the local homeless population and they tended to linger in mornings and evenings.
Overall we loved how close the times grocery store was (1 minute walk); we loved walking to get coffee nearby too (Akamai coffee was a 2 minute walk); and the condo was well equipped with sun shades, chairs, and everything else needed for enjoying the local beaches. We would stay here again.

The grounds, pool area and outside hallways are nicely kept and our unit had a lovely ocean view making sunset watching enjoyable. This unit is at the far end of the complex, so if you want quiet and out of the busier areas like the pool and community grills, this unit is for you. We met many new people, mostly Canadians who've been coming to this property for years & stay for weeks/months who were lovely, welcoming and helpful in recommending local eats/attractions. These units are showing their age, however. Sliding closet doors and bifold doors going off track with careful adults operating them, outdated decor like mirrored closet doors, bedding, etc. This unit could use a "refresh". The pillows should be rotated out to be washed for freshness. Housekeeping seems very surface & not sparkling clean like you hope for when you're vacationing. Comfortable beds/sofa, but awkward table between kitchen and living area making both spaces feel tight. Plenty of cookware/tableware for most any need (keep in mind with no dishwasher, they are only as clean as whoever washed them last!) & seasonings/coffee filters, etc in the pantry. Very convenient location with walkable grocery, restaurant & other amenities. We only sat on the beach the first afternoon because of gale force winds/rain several days, but many people come to the beach and blow their conchs for the sunset!!

We love staying here! Right on the beach, clean, property management is easy to work with. The only issue we had was that our condo was just off the street, and there was a lot of traffic coming and going. It was a little loud sometimes. I would try and stay in a room next time set a little further back on the property. But if you are an early riser, it won't affect you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two -week stay in this condo. It's a short walk to the beach where we frequently saw turtles. Sunsets were spectacular! It's also close to grocery stores and good restaurants. The condo is very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. We appreciated having beach chairs and an umbrella provided. The pool is lovely. We look forward to returning!

Perfect place to stay. A thing that you forgot to mention (that can increase the rent) are the turtles that are swimming in the ocean on the beach in front of the complex !!! Amazing !!!

Great place. We love immersing ourselves in a community and Kihei is the perfect place to do that. The property is also in a prime location to do that. It is a perfect apartment for 2 couples. Kitchen is small but totally functional. We had a blast and would enjoy it again!

Condo unit A-201 was just fine. There were just a couple issues, e.g., two outlets that did not operate well, and an AC unit hose that came loose, but management attempted to address the first issue promptly and the second one we could take care of ourselves. Family members stayed in three other units, so we were able to see 4 units total. In general, the units are nice, well kept-up, and the complex is visually appealing. It's only tough because the place we all stayed at just previously, in Kauai (Lae Nani) was drop-dead gorgeous. In comparison, Waiohuli Beach Hale was older looking, and the grounds, while nice, paled in comparison to the Kauai property. Both were beachfront, and the Kauai place also had a somewhat more attractive beach. A-201 is not carpeted, so it's best for folks happy with all tile flooring. AC worked well, and we appreciated the great dishware and beach items supplied. The pool area and adjacent shower were enjoyed. Potential visitors should note that this complex is very close to a grocery store and many, many good eateries and other conveniences. It is in the busy town of Kihei, about 14 minutes to Wailea, 30 minutes to the airport, and 45 minutes to Lahaina.

The location was convenient to the beach but most of the water was rocky - bring water shoes! The condo was somewhat updated and was sufficient. The beds were comfortable. Kehei is old and not upscale so we drove to Wailea and Kaanapali for n8ce restaurants and shopping.

This condo is well located in Kihei, close to a grocery store, snorkel rentals, and direct access to the beach. I loved the vibe of the condo community. Young and old mingling and getting along. The condo itself was great. Beds were very comfortable and AC worked great. I enjoyed the book about native birds. Nice to be able to look them up in the moment. Water pressure in the showers was low, and some beach equipment is old and could use an update, but both are very minor items that would not deter us from renting this unit in the future. Thank you for a wonderful visit to Maui!

This was our first vacation since March 2020!!! The unit is okay if you are not picky about cleanness but I wouldn’t stay there again. The bed is not comfortable & every morning woke up with a back ache. The bathrooms need to be updated. The master bathroom tile floor was pretty black & dirty . The shower head small & the water pressure is way too slow, I usually take a complete shower in 5 minutes but not here!!!even though with a petite built , you still need to shower for 10-15 minutes to completely shower. So I would suggest to make some improvements in bathrooms. Also the ice chest portion of the freezer had mold spots in it . In addition be aware that this unit does not have a dishwasher which makes me wonder how clean & sanitize the dishes & glasses are specially these days. I believe the description does mention ‘no dishwasher’ & I probably missed it .

We had a lovely stay. The unit provided a comfortable stay for all. Enjoyable to have a pool to swim in as the sea is a little rocky that makes it hard to enjoy a swim. The beach is beautiful with beautiful views of the ocean and mountains ; great for long walks any time of the day.

This condo unit is directly on the water and you basically have the beach all to yourself ... It’s nice not to be on a crowded beach. In fact we saw two turtles come up on shore to get some sun ! Plenty of options within walking distance (grocery store, restaurants, bars, coffee, etc. we enjoyed using the pool and shuffleboard on site as well. The condo is very pretty and beds were comfortable.

Overall the condo was very nice and in a great location with a wonderful pool and beach just steps away. Beds were comfortable, clean and neat. The kitchen was clean and well organized. Air conditioning in each room was much appreciated. Shower curtain in 2nd bathroom was broken and RentalsMaui came and fixed as soon as we called. The shower floor in the master bath was not clean and had to wear shower shoes because of this. The grout and tile need to be taken care of better. Also the shower head in master bath was terrible and also there is parts of it that need repair. The worst thing was the tile floor through out was very filthy. We took off our shoes when we first arrived and walked barefoot but in less than one hour our feet were black on the bottom. We use a paper towel to clean part of the floor and you would not believe how dirty it was. It is nice to go barefoot in Hawaii but could not in this condo. Overall it was a great place to stay and I would stay there again. Thank you.

Nice condo centrally located to everything we wanted to do. Condo was clean and well equipped, beds were comfortable and the sunset views were excellent. They had a nice pool and an area for grilling and picnics. The only problem I have with the unit is that the main living area was really cramped for 4 adults, with little room to move about. Kitchen/dining was poorly designed. Only one person at a time in the kitchen and small dining table squeezed in too small a space between kitchen and dining. Only a couch to sit on in the living room so not enough room for everyone to sit. The coffee maker was awful, it took 45 minutes to brew a pot of coffee!!!

Happy in choosing # 201-A Waiohuli Beach Hale condoJust a few minor things to make stay even better would be improved water pressure in the showers.Provide a dish washer in the unit for more convenience and sanitizing dishes. Change the aircon unit in master bedroom to something more efficient and quieter. Sound was too loud for comfort. Most nights I had to turn it off because I can’t sleep from loud noise of air blowing from the unit.Other than those recommendations I would be very happy to stay at this condo on my next Maui visit. This is probably the best accommodation I have stayed at in all my travels. The location was just perfect, it's right in front of a nice beach so you get a gorgeous view right from the living room. It's also right next to a grocery store (literally steps away) so you can walk to shop for things you need. It's so close to a lot of other popular restaurants/cafes as well. Check in process was easy and detailed. The house was very well stock. We loved the beach essentials/equipments that they provided too. Honestly I only have good things to say about our stay. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to Maui.

Very nice room with an incredible view!It came fully loaded with all of the items (fully stocked kitchen, pool and beach toys and towels, fans and air conditioners, two televisions, washer/dryer, etc...) we needed to enjoy our week long vacation. The complex had great amenities including a lovely pool, three gas barbeques with outdoor seating area, bicycles, paddle boards, snorkeling gear and shuffleboard. We would definitely stay here in the future.

I stayed in this rental with my boyfriend, and another couple we were traveling with. This rental was in an amazing location for walking to stores and restaurants, and is in amazing proximity to a beautiful beach for swimming, relaxing, and watching sea life! It was clean, well-equipped with beach supplies and cooking/cleaning supplies, and was cozy and comfortable! The balcony is a huge bonus, as well as access to the pool and grills!
