We have a welcoming second floor, corner, one bedroom 723 sq ft condominium, at the Kihei Kai Nani complex across the street from a beautiful beach, Kamaole II, in Kihei (200 meters to sand). The Condo faces the garden, which makes it wonderfully private and quiet. Additionally, it is a corner unit and therefore has two extra windows, one in the dining area and another in the bedroom, letting in more light and a wonderful cross-breeze.
All floors in the unit are tiled. It has a tiled walk-in shower and newly tiled Kitchen counter tops with a breakfast bar. It is equipped with all the needed conveniences (Wireless Internet Router, 2 TVs (L/R & B/R), DVD, VCR, Radio, Air Conditioning (updated in 2019 has two registers, providing air in both the bedroom and living / dining room areas), King Sized Bed, Queen Sized Sofa Bed), linens (bed sheets/blankets, beach and bath towels, kitchen towels), beach gear (cooler, drink coolers, snorkeling fins & 4 beach chairs) and a fully equipped kitchen (toaster, coffee maker, blender, rice maker, pots/pans, utensils, dishes etc.).
Kihei Kai Nani Complex Information: Kihei Kai Nani boasts a large beautiful freshwater pool, a shuffleboard court, and a very well equipped laundry facility. The complex is located adjacent to a number of shops and restaurants, making it possible to stay here without the need for a rental car. The Maui bus stops by on S. Kihei road, just outside the complex, for non-walking distance outings. The staff at Kihei Kai Nani is helpful and will assist with informational needs.
Each unit is allowed 1 vehicle free parking in the parking lot. Parking lot has security staff monitoring the complex. Quiet time is enforced by security staff and runs from 10 pm thru 7 am.
Condo facilities: The unit is fully furnished for you to enjoy your vacation in Maui, including beach & bath towels and bed linens. Snorkel equipment and beach chairs are available for guest use. An outdoor BBQ is feet way from the Lanai. The condo has an ideal location in the complex, with a garden view and a view of the West Maui volcano from the lanai, giving it the advantage of privacy and quiet, so that you can enjoy breakfast, read a book or simply enjoy hearing the birds.
The Kitchen is outfitted with tiled countertops with built-in breakfast counter. The Kitchen is fully equipped with coffee maker, toaster, blender, rice maker, utensils, bowls, casseroles, pots/pans, plates, cups, dish cloths, some tea/coffee & some spices. The condo is equipped with free Wireless Internet, 2 TVs (Living room and bedroom) DVD, VCR and a Radio. Starter amounts of toiletries are made available for each guest.
South Kihei Area: Kihei is known for its reliably sunny weather with average annual rainfall of 4 - 10 inches annually. It is also known for several of the best of Maui's beaches, including Kamaole, Makena, Ulua, Mokapu and Polo. All beaches' shorelines in Maui are accessible to the public, even the ones where hotels are located have public access to their beaches. Further, one can walk or jog from Kamaole II beach all the way down to South Wailea beaches.
Several outstanding golf courses are available within a few miles, including some of the most famous in Wailea.

The property was very comfortable for my party of two people. The walk to the beach was a short walk and easy. We had plenty of parking, so there were no problems there. Whether we decided to sit on the beach and swim or sit by the pool and swim it was very comfortable and quiet. The shops and restaurants on the street were very close and easy to walk to.

The property and location were great. The owners were too. I had one issue. I was there for work and needed to iron a shirt. I was able to use the iron but it was leaking water and needed to be replaced. I texted the owners and they offered to run another right over. I didn’t need it but wanted to let them know it was shot. Liz and Chuck were awesome!

I don't know why this condo had a few bad reviews. It was clean, well equipped, well appointed, and the location was great ... 600 feet to the beach, half a dozen good restaurants within a five minute walk, good snorkeling at beach 2, better at beach 3. We'll be there again.

We would definitely book this property again. My wife and I have stayed at 4 different condos in Maui, this one shines.
Only critique-
Didn’t appreciate the checking out rules saying do all your dishes. That’s why we pay a cleaning fee. Further more, having guests clean dishes etc. there is no quality control. I guess we are just to assume everyone cleaning up after themselves does a basic standard quality job.

I was very disappointed with the fact that the bed I was going to sleep in on my first night was not clean. It was specially concerning due to the fact that we are dealing with a pandemic and cleansing should be a priority for all. The location was great and after the property manager came to address our concerns, my wife and I where able to relax and enjoy our stay. The place is outdated and needs updating, perhaps that is a personal preference but I feel I need to be transparent and honest in the feedback I provided.

The hospitality was so welcoming and authentic. Were from Alaska and it took us two days to travel and adjust. Plus we had a year old boy with us that was very cranky and loud and the renters were right below us and were very understanding and nice. Plus the beach is a walk across the street which makes it very relaxing! If we ever come back again we will stay at the same place! Beautiful condo! Quyanakpaq which means thank you in Inupiaq!

We had visited the other islands of Hawaii but this was a first for Maui. Our condo was everything you could want. It was immaculate; the furnishings were Hawaiian style and very pretty. The kitchen was stocked with nice dishes, utensils, pans and the basic condiments. The lanai looked over a grassy, tree lined area with a BBQ for guest use. There is AC in the livingroom area and good ceiling fans in the livingroom and bedroom. Our condo was a corner unit with windows on both sides and even with the AC off most of the time, it was cool enough to be comfortable. One very nice thing the owners do is provide the things you need to enjoy at the beach which can be expensive if you have to purchase them. They had beach chairs, boggie boards, an umbrella, snorkel masks and fins and a cooler.
There were several nice beaches right across the street and a fun downtown area within walking distance with good places to eat and lots of shops. The owners were very helpful with any questions we had. We would definitely stay again if ever in Maui.

This apartment is a very clean and well looked after condo in Kihei, a great location to visit Maui from. Kihei is quite central with decent travel time for those who want to tour the island. Car parking is free/available. The office staff and everyone we met including the owners when we arrived, was very friendly and welcoming but also respected our privacy once we had settled in. This all really helped us to have an enjoyable stay!
The condo itself is very clean and is perfect for a couple/small family. The Kamaole II Beach is very close and there are several restaurants and shops within close walking distance at the South/Center of Kihei. There is a swimming pool for guests which is nice if you want to avoid the beach.
Breakfast was great at Fred's Café/Moose McGillyCuddys close by, but you can certainly cook for yourself if you wish, with all the necessary kitchen equipment/utensils in the condo and local food markets close by. There is only one air-conditioning unit in the main living room, but it was fine if you turned it on before going to bed and it cooled the whole apartment down well. We preferred the windows closed with the A/C on and a fan on to maintain a good temperature overnight.
I am thinking that the condo has consistently been improved/updated and we even had two new bamboo/cane bar stools added when we showed up. This condo is well looked after and it is a peaceful/quiet apartment complex.
I would certainly stay here in the future myself and I would highly recommend this condo for an enjoyable Maui stay!
