The pictures are very accurate for this property. The house backs up to the golf course and the house is on a cul de sac which means very little traffic. It was very quiet while we were there and it was wonderful. The check in process was good and everything was as described. We had a wonderful time. The house had everything that we needed. The 6 beach chairs and the cooler were very helpful. There were lots of dishes and glasses. The beds were good and the showers were very nice. Overall we really enjoyed our time here. The house was very clean when we arrived. The back Lanai was large with chairs plus an outdoor table and chairs so we ate several meals outside.
Overall this I would give this house an A+.

We absolutely loved this house!! The living area was wide open with a huge lanai for bbqing and outdoor living. Backed up to the 10th hole of the golf course. Full of pine trees and birds. The home is so well decorated with high ceilings and wood accents. we loved it!!! Great location, close to all the north side beaches. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. outdoor shower to rinse off the sand after a long day at the beach of snorkeling and boogie boarding. They had boogie boards, snorkel gear, chairs and umbrellas for the beach. Great house!!! Highly recommend this house!!

We travelled with another couple, both celebrating anniversaries. The layout was perfect for 2 couples, with privacy and our own bathrooms on opposite sides of the home. The central open layout was also appreciated. Very clean. Well equipped. Quick and professional communication. All of the beach necessities were there - chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, boogie boards. Plenty of amenities in Princeville, close to Hanalei (our favorite). Don't miss the Night Market in Princeville or a meal at the Dolphin in Hanalei. Great value by booking directly through Makana Properties website! I not only recommend this property, but hope to stay here again myself in the future.

It was beautiful and peaceful. The house is clean and has everything you need. It does get hot at night, there is no air conditioning in the bedrooms. The fans help. There is air conditioning in the center of the home. The location is wonderful especially if your staying on that side of the island. We will rent again.

We loved this house. It is located in a very quiet, private area of Princeville but in walking distance of all the beaches and Queen's Bath. The house is actually better than the pictures show it which was such a pleasant surprise. The rental company was very communicative and friendly. It's an easy 5 star rating!!

I was traveling with my 88-year-old aunt, two of her daughters, and my husband. The house was well laid out and everyone had space and privacy. We would definitely stay at this home again. We had a few issues while we were there, and the owners were very responsive. Great value.

This home has a spacious and open layout which was perfect for our family and small children. Very simple and clean decor and furniture which we also appreciated since we were traveling with small children. The beach chairs and sand toys were also nice to have. We did have to rent some additional baby equipment like a high chair and an extra pack n play (They provided 1 pack n play). It is conveniently located very close to a park and shopping center. And non-house related, but another note is there is lot of mosquitos in the area in general so I recommend bringing bug spray if you want to sit outside and enjoy the deck. I would definitely stay there again!

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at this fantastic Princeville house. The house sits on the golf course and has a huge lanai that opens up the entire backyard area. Morning coffee and evening wine was perfect on the lanai! 5 minutes from Hanalei Bay and 35 minutes from Kapaa. Great location and restraunt’s and the market within walking distance. We will stay here again!

The property was absolutely beautiful! Especially all the open windows through the backyard to the golf course. This property provided me and my family plus my cousins family a wonderful and cozy stay. We had so much room for everyone to be comfortable and love the open kitchen and living room. We really enjoyed the property and will definitely try to come back. The location is in a very convenient area to get to different parts around Princeville or to quickly get on the road to Hanalei. The neighborhood is not busy and quiet. The porch is awesome to sit on at any time of the day. Having the grill and the fully stocked kitchen made it easy to do dinners on the porch after a long day at the beach. The fans, open air design, and facing away from the afternoon sun kept the house cool even without AC. The property manager was very quick and attentive to our requests. Thanks for adding to the fantastic time in Kauai.

We had a wonderful stay at this gem of a property on the Makai golf course. It was relaxing to hang out on the lanai and watch golfers, birds and pretty golfcourse ponds. Probably our favorite rental to date.
The property was well maintained and had just about everything we needed. It was kind of a hike but we did manage to walk to Ainini Beach from the house. One could even walk to the Foodland shopping center if needed (15 min walk).
We loved the outdoor shower to rinse off before coming inside. Also each room had a ceiling fan to keep cool. The kitchen was well appointed and had just about everything you could need for a short stay.
We rented boogie boards and SUPs in Hanalei and Poipu and loved the proximity to the outdoor things we loved doing.
We would definately recommend this place.

First and foremost, the house was amazing!! 8 of us fit comfortably ( 3 adults, 2 young adults and 3 kids (11-16).
PROS:
-The house is right on the golf course
-Has a wrap around lanai so you can sit and enjoy morning coffee or a meal or just watch you kiddos run around in back playing football or chasing chickens.
-The house is spacious with an open concept and plenty of room.
-Lots of beach items in the garage for use (coolers, snorkeling gear, chairs, boogie boards, sand toys
- 2 washers and 2 dryers (both washers worked. Inside dryer got no power and outside dryer only dried small loads)
- 5 beds (2 kings, 2 twins and a pull out sofa) plus an additional couch.
- stocked kitchen items and spices for cooking.
CONs:
-No AC (but I think that is normal for Kauai). There are ceiling fans and floor fans but it got up to the high 80s and my hubby and kids were hating life.
-trash can is too small. We stayed for an entire week and cooked a lot. We filled the trash can and had like 5 additional bags/boxes that we sat on the side.
-no recycling. We had a lot of cans, bottles and boxes that we were just putting in trash bags. However to recycle you need to take it to the recycling place yourself. I read that late and we ran out of time so we left everything there.
-fees for excess trash or sand (not sure if this applies to us or if we got charged)
-all the beaches, shops and fast food we went to were on the south side (except Hanalai) which took 45-120 minutes to get to in a rental car.
-both dryers were broken but we didn’t realize until we went to wash our towels 4 days in.
-not enough towels (there were 6) for a party of 8. We ended up going to Walmart and buying everyone a beach towel.
Last but not least, the chairs in the dining room are wobbly and should not be sat on if you are more than 200lbs. Unfortunately we broke one because the weight was too much and my nephew fell straight through (225ish).
Also, many review mention a ping pong table in the garage. Just an FYI, it is no longer there.
All in all, we loved this place and it felt like a home away from home!!

We had an amazing time and enjoyed our stay here. The property had an amazing view from the back porch of the lake and even had chickens roaming around. The community was quiet and relaxing. Everything was perfect for our stay!
