We had a great time at this apt, the view was amazing, it had everything we need including a full equipped kitchen with even some basics for cooking, downstairs we had access to a beautiful beach and a delicious restaurant. Totally worth it!

The reasonable cost for this property made us skeptical that it was really going to be as advertised, but it was! Located on the ocean, the front of the building is nondescript but the back has palm-lined views of the sunset - we could see tropical fish swimming among the rocks on calm days. The inside of our unit was clean, just a little out-dated. The kitchen is reasonable appointed if you plan to cook - which we did. Bring your own spices. There is a small beach right next door where many people were boogie-boarding and a park/beach on the other side of the building. There is also a restaurant & bar attached to the building where you can sit oceanfront- we didn't eat there, so can't review it. The patio doors opened wide to let in the breeze and surf sounds - which were quite loud during our stay. Even with the doors closed, you could still be lulled to sleep by the surf. I was appreciative of the coded access - no keys to keep track of. There is no elevator to access the 2nd or 3rd floors, so if you can't lug your bags up stairs, this location will be a challenge. Also, if you are tall (over 6 ft), the bathroom light is part of a ceiling fan which is right above the sink and that could be a tad too close to your head. That is the case in the kitchen as well. All in all, this was a terrific location, clean facility, beautiful views and responsive management.

My Finance really enjoyed our time there, which made my time Great. Seriously, the condo had great views, we saw the "Green Flash" ! The restaurant on the property was really nice, great views, very good food. The condo was easily accessible. Main thing besides view, very clean. I will probably make a return visit.

I felt like the rental property itself was everything that it promised to be. It was a beautiful room in a fantastic location with a beautiful view. I would probably stay there again. I did have some issues with the management company. I felt like they were a little heavy handed and over the top with threats of punishments and fees if anything went wrong. I have never had to fill out and sign and initial ten pages of contract before being able to rent a place before. There was also some issues at check out. I left my keys behind and I was very grateful that they would mail them back to me, but I did feel like charging me $80 to mail some keys was a little outragious, especially after having just paid over $3,000 for the rental. I would have expected them to just charge the $12 shipping and done it as a courtesy service. I accidently left behind many other items which were never mentioned and ended up with someone for free. I feel like returning the keys as a courtesy service would have been more professional.

The views from our open air condo were breathtaking! We saw dolphins, schools of fish, tide pools, sunsets, the moon and stars from the comfy furniture and bed! We left our huge sliding glass doors open to hear the waves crash against the lava rock.. we slept like babies! We didn’t need the air conditioning, as the cross breeze thru the condo was amazing! The condo was well appointed with; boogie boards, beach chairs, pool noodles, coolers, and all the kitchen supplies you need to cook if you choose. The restaurant and beach onsite are the best! Friendly and accommodating, along with the best food and drinks! We walked and biked All’i drive to all the get groceries, restaurants, and all the public access beaches. We also took the free open air trolley that makes a loop to all the above! It picks you up, and drops you off right at magic sands beach. The management company was available by phone or text if we needed to ask questions and were more than accommodating. We will be back!

Had the most wonderful, amazing time. The property was close enough to the shops, yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle will definitely stay there again. Truly enjoyed our honeymoon. Will be back next year for sure.

Granted, we chose this place based on the value. It was one of the cheaper oceanfront units for rent. That said this would be a 1 maybe 2 star hotel anywhere. Kudos to the photographer that made this unit look this nice in the pictures. It’s a cinder block construction room that is the size of a suite hotel room. The entry to the bathroom is incredibly tight, anyone bigger than 200 pounds is going to need to grease up to get in. The kitchen is very outdated and needs a face lift. The mattress didn’t have a protector on it which, why? If you have dozens of guests sleeping on something why wouldn’t you invest in a cheap way to keep the mattress somewhat clean? The one closet in the place was packed to the gills with stuff. There’s no space to even hang clothes. There is no deck or patio, you can open the sliders and your living room is now open air. The mini split air conditioner was nice too cool things off, but it drains into the shower behind it so you get to listen to the dripping all night if you want it cool. Overall, it suited our needs. I wouldn’t stay here again though.

We enjoyed watching the yello tang and black humuhumu frolicking in the waves right beyond the rock wall, and the spinner dolphins and humpback whales further out. Conveniently located in walking distance from Kahalu'u for more intimate look at fish if snorkeling. Well-equipped, elegantly organized.

This is the place to rent if you visit Kona. Spacious, right beside the beach, listening to the waves. There's also a great beach shack and grill for breakfast/coffee/cocktails connected. They check in on you to see how everything is and give you anything you could possibly need in book with thorough descriptions (I didn't need anything, but if you do, the numbers/directions are there). If you're lucky enough to get a spot here, take it!!

We had a great stay at Kona Magic Sands Condo. The view was amazing from our room, and the beach next door was fantastic. No need to drive and park in search of a beach. Magic Sands had soft white sand and a big of rocks. We swam, snorkeled with fish and sea turtles on one side of the beach, and played in the waves on the other. The room almost had everything we needed minus a dishwasher. The small kitchen worked fine but I wish there was a dishwasher but not a big deal. I appreciated the management helping me get the correct Wifi password and loved that the condo had beach chairs, an umbrella, a cooler, and snorkel gear. I wish I would have checked that before renting my own gear. You get an assigned parking spot but there is no elevator so you have to carry everything up to the 3rd floor, but the sunset views are worth it. We also had a great sunset dinner at the onsite restaurant and would go back to eat there even if not staying at the condo, great food and views.

The property is in an amazing location with beautiful views. During our stay, the wifi did not work. We contacted the management company and they were not able to get it working. Beach chairs, umbrella, cooler were nice to have, but there were no beach towels. The bathroom and kitchen need some updating.
