Sealodge E7 is a cheerful older unit right in the heart of everything Kauai's North Shore has to offer! This well maintained charmer has one comfortable bedroom, an open living and dining space that gets tons of natural light, and a fully appointed kitchen. The private balcony lanai is dream, with ocean views that stretch down the Anini reef.
If you manage to drag yourself away from the sight of the waves breaking outside your windows, you'll find yourself in the perfect home base for exploring the North Shore. Anini Beach, just 15 minutes away, has calm, clear waters, and is great for snorkeling and swimming. The beautiful golden beaches of Hanalei Bay are also just 15 minutes away, and the water is gentle and shallow, great for swimmers of all ages. The charming Hanalei town is right nearby as well, and has all the boutique shopping and delicious eating you could ever want! Try some ultra-fresh fish at the Hanalei Dolphin, or grab a sweet treat at Wishing Well Shave Ice (if you've never had macadamia ice cream you're missing out!). If you don't mind a longer journey, Tunnels Beach is 30 minutes away, and has some of the best snorkeling on the island, and you'll likely spot some Honu (Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles) too! For those that prefer to stay a little closer to home, the Princeville Shopping Center is only 1.5 miles away, about 5 minutes driving, and has a Foodland grocery store, and plenty of eating out options for casual dining close to home! Happy hour at Tiki Iniki is a great way to pass the afternoon with a cocktail and an appetizer, and the Saturday morning farmers market is the perfect local activity!
Of course, if you're after a true staycation, the Sealodge grounds have all you need for a relaxing vacation right on the premises! You can spend the day lounging by the complex pool and soaking up the sun and the views, or you can throw an impromptu barbecue using the community charcoal grills. You don't even need to leave the complex to have a great beach day, either, just trek down to Sealodge Beach, about a 10 minute, moderately strenuous hike, to enjoy a secluded stretch of paradise with great fishing, great snorkeling, and no crowds! Don't worry about laundry facilities, there's an in unit washer and dryer for added convenience.
Looking to make your way around the rest of the island? Drive time to the East Side (where the airport is located) is roughly 50 minutes, and to the South Shore is 75 minutes.
As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned, however there are fans in each space and screen doors on the lanai to help with airflow.
This is an upstairs condo so you need to be able to go up and down one flight of stairs. There are no elevators.
Although this home has internet, the speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed due to the remote location and the service being provided by a third-party.

The location is wonderful up on the cliff above the waves. The sound of the waves is very soothing and a great way to doze off. The problem is that there is a unit right above with tile floors and the constant noise drowns out the waves. From early in the morning to late at night. Because there was a 4 day storm, we had to spend a lot of time in the condo. Also, they could spring for some new beach chairs. The ones that are there were cheap and broken. We had to go rent them because they were useless.

Everything was amazing. The mechanica s of the place are perfect, location, check in,cleanliness. It's the awesome island feel that's everywhere. Roosters roam freely, the ocean sounds, the gentle breeze and short soft rain showers make this place a dream come true. Be prepared for quiet time with everything you need a short drive away.

It was okay, had a problem with TV (we’re not techy folks) and office called back next day (even though it was supposed to be open when we called) to solve it but in the meantime we missed the Super Bowl. Hubby not a happy camper! Bathroom extremely small. Mostly clean but could use a little extra cleaning in places.

We had a great stay! The views of the ocean from the large windows in each room were amazing. The location was convenient for getting to many beaches, including Hideaways, Hanalei, and Anini, and for exploring the Napali coast.
The only thing that went wrong was that the lockbox code no longer worked well before the 10 AM check-out time. Luckily, one of us had stayed in the rental while the other was moving luggage to our rental car, so it didn't end up being a problem. Also, note that the decor is dated (as is visible in the posted pictures), which may matter to some people, but wasn't something we cared about.

The view is fabulous. The place really needs updated and ac to make it a nice property. The shower drain is really slow therefore you stand in dirty water to shower. Sugar ants were all over the kitchen. Princeville is a beautiful area and we had a nice wedding in Hanalei Bay. Please consider ac and getting rid of the carpet. The washer/dryer is nice to have.

This rental was ok. The view was really nice. The unit very old. Kitchen cabinet doors kept opening, no air conditioning- hot during day. Kitchen lacked needed items. If you want a view great place but otherwise old and dated. We were missing beach towels and called but they never came.

The view at this place is breathtaking. Pictures do not do it justice. Beach chairs, snorkel gear, umbrella, and towels are all provided. It’s located close by to tons of activities. I would definitely recommend a stay here if you are looking to explore the northern side of Kauai. 10/10 would stay here again!

This is the second time I've stayed at Sealodge and the first time in this unit. It was VERY clean, the bed is super comfy and the linens were soft and crisp. Plenty of beach towels and chairs. Awesome view out of the windows and lanai. No dishwasher, which wasn't a problem for us, but a consideration for someone who doesn't like to handwash dishes. The unit is the perfect size for 2 people to have a romantic vacation, there's a bed for a child/third person but I can see it being a little cramped with three or more people.

Kauai Kahana Vacations was awesome! In the booking stage, I was very concerned about our ability to sleep on a hard mattress. KKV promised a mattress topper and delivered! Our month at Sealodge was excellent. Waking up to that view...fantastic. Princeville and Hanalei were all one could ask for; restaurants, beaches, hiking, kayaks, grocery etc. Great location. The negatives pale compared to the overall experience. However, there were alot of issues. At Sealodge the pool was closed probably until summer. Parking was tough if you came back after10 o'clock PM. The E7 unit itself was tired. Mattress was OLD and crushed at the edge. Dishwasher broken when we checked in and replacement unavailable. Stereo unit was old and completely shot, wouldn't play a CD, tape and no radio because the antenna was broken off. The refrigerator was old and would go into fits making a slapping noise that could wake the dead, it did its primary purpose satisfactory. No TV in the bedroom. Unit in the living room was small. Washer/dryer was excellent. Unit needs an overhaul. We will definitely come back but will try a different unit. View was incredible though! Thanks for the excellent vacation and as I said, the problems were at the worst...pesky.

The place had an amazing view. Although out dated was very clean. The condo was well stocked with beach chairs, goggles and beach towels.The first night toilet was broken it took 3 visits from maintenance before it was working. This should have been checked ahead of time.The location was great.
