Clean, comfortable and beautiful views. We saw turtles daily and dolphins and seals on several occasions. The beach is very quiet and it was nice to have a walking trail to Black Rock.

First of all, nothing can beat the location! Crashing waves all night. Amazing view. So relaxing! Close to everything you could want.Condo layout was perfect for us. Unfortunately maintenance was being done right when we were allowed in ☹️. Condo itself could use a refresh in decor and paint, no fan in bathroom but I think the price reflected that. Overall, location trumps all!

Condo is in a great building right on the water! There were sea turtles in the water near the beach everyday. The condo is a little dated but was clean the owners were very helpful and give lots of information about things to do in the area. We loved every minute of our stay!

Always stay at the Mahana when we come to Maui. This particular condo unit was a better price than many other units, but it does need some updating. Can’t beat the location and the views of turtles and always great to grill by the pool. Also.. a few steps away from Dukes..which is our favorite place to eat and enjoy sunset drinks.

Kathy & David place is so PETFECT for everything! The location, decorations, setup and cleanliness.
They have everything for us. We love that they even have small unthinkable things like scotch tape, scissors, post-it & etc.
First, we weren't so sure if the 8th floor will be too high from the beach but it turned out just perfect!

This condo was perfect in so many ways for our annual family vacation in Maui. We always stay for a month and this condo suited us perfectly. We stay in the same building annually and liked this condo for the perfect view of the ocean and the whales. I was also able to keep an eye on my husband while he surfed, from the comfort of the condo or the lanai. The kitchen had all we needed to make family meals including gas grill utensils. The owners were very easy to chat with when we needed something one day. We will stay here again!

We loved the spectacular view of the ocean from all main rooms at this property. It was breathtaking. We also enjoyed the upbeat beach vibe in the condo as well as the comfortable furniture. The condo was well-equipped with everything we needed during our stay. The location was excellent and allowed us to take long walks each day along the Kaanapali beach, swim in the ocean and then head out to explore the local area. The pool was clean, warm, and always had lots of chairs to sit in and enjoy. Communications with David and Kathy with were quick and helpful. We extended our stay an extra day due to our plane booking changing and they were very flexible in making this work for us. We would definitely return to this condo.

The condo contained everything we needed to stay in and watch the ocean but the beach was right downstairs and shopping and eateries were within walking and close driving distance. We were very pleased and with our stay.

We recently completed a second two week stay in this condo. Everything is absolutely wonderful and the setting allows beautiful ocean views from sunrise to sunset. The owners are terrific and they have outfitted the condo with everything you could possibly need from comfy furnishings to kitchen supplies to beach toys. It's all there! Prior to finding this condo we have stayed at the Mahana on five previous trips to paradise. This condo is the best by far!!!! We're already booked for 2016!

This was our third stay in Kathy and David's condo at the Mahana. We've enjoyed them all and hope to continue to come back. The condo is very comfortable, especially the bed. The view is outstanding. The kitchen is well supplied, we cook most of our meals in. The facilities at the Mahana--pool, hot tub, grounds, etc. are terrific. and the owners are extremely pleasant to deal with as well as being responsive if something is needed during the stay.

I stayed here for 10 days it is Amazing. The communication from the owners was always there this Condo is spotless, the views from the Lanai are out of this world especially in the evening to watch the sunset. The glass all around makes it feel like you could step into the water from your living room. There is no fault with this condo it is 100%, your local shops are close by. The pool area and hot tub is right there and the beach just steps away. It is like a dream holiday when someone tells you it is Paradise you will see why. I can not wait to go back as everything was right there.

Some highlights of 818: comfy bed, lots of beach toys, lots of bathroom and kitchen necessities, helpful owner with lots of recommendations, stunning views and great location. We can't recommend this unit and owner enough! Can't wait to visit Maui again!

We rent often with VRBO and I don't usually review the property. This one,however, is an exception. We were delighted from the moment we entered. ....fresh flowers and a spectacular view. Everything was in perfect order and the kitchen was spotless and well equipped ( no ugly pots and pans here ). Coming in at night for the first time is a little tricky and we were told that a lot of people wind up at Kaanapali Shores. Supermarket and a couple of casual eateries are right across the street. We are feeling sad that we have to spend our last 3 nights at one of the big well known resorts in Kaanapali ....would rather be here.

This was truly a "home away from home" place with all of the amenities and comforts anyone could desire. Mahana was the second stop on our honeymoon in Maui, and we could not have been more happy. Kathy met us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the condo, as well as greeting us with beautiful flowers to congratulate us on our wedding in Maui. Kathy was fantastic to chat with before arriving and answered any questions we had along the way. The condo is comfortable, high end decor touches throughout and the bed is simply divine! Plus the kitchen has everything you need to cook a delicious meal inside. We enjoyed many mornings on the beautiful lanai taking in the views. We will be excited to return to this condo for future Anniversary trips and vacations!

My wife and I stayed here for our 25th anniversary. The Mahana is an extremely well kept facilty, the staff very friendly and the location perfect. The condo... well simply stunning. The appliances, furniture, kitchen cupboards and counters all higher end quality and the bed the most comfortable we've experienced. Being from Canada, finding this condo on the web and sending our $$ to a complete stranger in the US... we weren't sure what to expect; but our highest expectations were exceeded. The snorkeling right in front of the condo was the best we experienced, with large sea turtles right off shore... the beach walk was perfect for an early morning run and to stroll and watch the sun set. Dukes Restaurant right beside the condo was a perfect atmostphere to close out the day... but we're still wearing off the calories from the hula pie! Since we've been back, we've recommended this place to several friends and co-workers and we will definitely be back very soon.
