This condo has one of the most beautiful water views in the Maalaea area. You can watch surfers catch rolling waves from your lanai, as well as watch boats come and go from Maalaea harbor. The complex is well maintained, and the grounds are spotless. We also liked the fact that the condo has just the right amount of furnishings. Lastly, there's a Starbucks within walking distance, so we didn't miss our morning lattes.

Perfect central location to go anywhere on the island, love the location of this condo. Direct ocean view from the lanai and you can watch the surfers! Condo was equipped with everything you need. Great stay!

Everything is great in this condo. The only negative is the peeler was pretty dull and I couldn’t find a lid that for the food storage containers other than that it was very nice. So not much bad to say indeed.

This condo was the perfect place for us! It was clean and exactly as described. The kitchen was stocked with all the supplies we needed to cook and eat. It helped that we stopped at Walmart for groceries before checking in. (There were filters for the coffee maker which was good because we didn’t think of that!) There were also chairs and beach towels that came in handy. And the view was AMAZING! We got to see the sunrise every morning from our balcony, and we could sit and stare at the ocean anytime we wanted.
The location was perfectly situated between a park/beach and a shopping area, with only 10 minutes walking distance to either one. There were plenty of restaurants, as well as cute little shops to buy necessities and souvenirs. The same area has the harbor with at least 2 businesses that help set you up with boat tours. The park/beach is secluded and felt like we were on our own private beach.
I can’t say enough good things about this condo! We highly recommend it and will definitely book again if we get the chance to go back to Maui.

The condo was perfect in terms of the view and location on the island. Everything was as described. The kitchen is lacking some basic items that most VRBO‘s have (such as salt and pepper and some sort of cooking oil), but that was truly the only disappointment. The management company was very responsive to requests with an immediate response and willingness to help. I would stay here again without question.

This property needs a deep clean of carpet in the bedroom and couch. This was communicated to management upon arrival. They offered to clean immediately, but we declined because we didn’t want the inconvenience while we were there. The bathroom needs an overhaul as well. The location on the water is lovely. View of the ocean and pool is second to none. The lanai is out of the wind, which is really nice as it was very windy. Unit is close to the elevator.

This is a great condo. It is centrally located making it perfect for first-time visitors to Maui who want to explore most of the island. You will need a car, as there are limited offerings within walking distance. We loved morning coffee on the Lanai while watching whales frolic in the bay. The unit was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with necessities. We found beach chairs and snorkeling equipment in the closet and there were even a few spices and other extras in the kitchen. Vacation Maui was an excellent host. They always responded to emails within a few minutes and sent help within an hour of our reporting an issue with the TV. We'll be back!

We loved our stay here. The views from the lanai are truly direct oceanfront. We enjoyed sitting out there and listening to the waves. The air conditioning worked very well and the place was clean and comfortable. The location is walking distance to the marina, aquarium and a shopping plaza with multiple good restaurants and cute shops. We caught a sunset cruise at the marina and had a quick walk home. Less than 15 minutes to the heart of Kihei and about 25-30 minutes to the Lahaina area.

We stayed for 8 days and completely enjoyed our stay. The unit was perfect. The ocean view with the patio was amazing. There is a small beach close by but to get a bigger beach is about .5 mile away but a very nice wide open beach with hardly any people. This is a more windy location but it does help keep the heat down with an ocean breeze. It is also close to the harbor so we took several tours within walking distance.

This place an absolute gem. You look out the window and see thee most beautiful view. Your parking spot is near the elevator. The elevator is near the room. Easy peasy! This is the perfect spot. You can bbq or swim in the pool. You can sit right by the ocean. Absolutely gorgeous! Quiet area. Love it! Thanks for having us!

We had a lovely stay and particular enjoyed the view from the balcony! The place had all the beach equipment we needed and the dishes etc to cook our own meals. Cable tv and apps were a great bonus. Location is central to the different beaches and close to the airport! Would stay again!

We had a wonderful 2 weeks here. Great communication with Jenna, easy check-in, lovely condo, and that view! Whale sightings everyday. We’ve stayed at various vrbo’s for over 20 years and Jenna’s is one of the best. It’s well stocked with just about everything you need. For those who prefer to dine out a lot, note that Maaelea is a very quiet community with not a lot of restaurants. But it was perfect for us and our vacation style. We loved it here. Thanks Jenna!

Our stay was wonderful in every way. We saw whale activity from our lanai, cooked fresh fish from the outside community grill twice, swam laps in the very nice pool, walked to the Aquarium (a must see), drove twice to the end of the road to the sweet small community beach to read and snorkel. There are many great amenities in the vrbo incl beach chairs, snorkel equip, cooler, umbrella. We easily drove to shops and restaurants, and the bird sanctuary was a highlight. Having a parking space and laundry was great! We would definitely book again!

We love this location and hope to go back. We saw whales spouting every day and if you watch the rocks sometimes big leatherback turtles show up. To the left side of the condos is a nice beach you can walk to. The harbor is very close with nice restaurants and the Aquarium is there too.
Now the down side: I would not go back unless the beds were replaced. The pullout sofa mattress and the bed mattress need to be replaced (very old). When we took the sheets off they had flipped a pillow top mattress over and put a thin foam pad on it!
We flipped it back over and took the pad off. A few other minor repairs are needed too. For these reasons I would not go back to sthis condo, unless the mattresses were replaced.
The host was able to get back to us on most issues. If the following things were upgraded or repaired I would go back. THE BED IS IN NEED OF A NEW MATTRESS! The light over the sink kept falling off (put up with double stick tape. It needs to be screwed in. The light over the stove didn't work. No big deal, but nice to have if you cook. The frying pans all were very old. No spatula, I bought one. The shower head cover kept falling off. These are all litlle things but for the price, they should be repaired. New mattress is a must!

Such a great unit to rent during whale season. The full ocean view and partial view of Harbor is great! The unit is very clean and comfortable, kitchen has everything you need, also high quality sheets, towels made our stay so relaxing. Definitely plan on renting there again! Aloha! ( I feel conflicted to tell you all how great this place is because I want to keep it a secret.) We enjoyed our stay very much. Manager was a gem! We had a little problem with the fridge but it was resolved quickly. To our surprise the condo is equipped with everything! It is in an excellent location between Wailea beaches and Lahaina. Jenna answered all our questions in a matter of hours. We will definitely come back. Mahalo!

The condo was clean, well-equipped, and centrally located on the island. The views from the Lanai are beautiful! We saw Humpbacks every day and the sunrises over Haleakala were unbelievable. We found the bed in the bedroom to be uncomfortable and decided to try out the pull out couch in the living room. Great location to stay to access all the different sides of the island without having to drive for hours.

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at this unit at Maalaea Kai and we absolutely love it!! The location is central to everything in Maui and the scenery couldn’t be more beautiful! Jenna and Shawn were ALWAYS so prompt with their responses and answered all of our questions immediately! The unit is well equipped with everything you need for a beach day and making pina coladas! Not to mention the same gray kitty that we saw 2 years ago still roams around the condo grounds. She is the absolute sweetest and so friendly! My husband and I were SO happy to see her again, another reason why we love this condo! Highly recommend! Thanks again Jenna and Shawn! :)

Very nice location, wonderful view from the condo, impeccable property grounds. This was about 3rd trip to Maui, but first to this property. We were celebrating our 40th anniversary. We new the area when we booked - Be aware that Maalaea Harbor can be a windy area. The facility is placed in such away to mitigate it. Very close to the harbor and some nice little shops and restaurants for those days you'd rather not cook or leave the area for a meal.
Fantastic location for exploring Maui, especially South and West Maui. Very central to the arteries that get you everywhere to the island. Jenna was great with communications, we appreciated the well stocked lodging. We had no problems with our stay whatsoever.
As we flew home we both agreed, this trip to Maui was the best of our three visits in the last ten years. Thanks Jenna for being a part of our trip!

We really enjoyed our time at this condo. It’s in a great location and felt like we were never more than 30 minutes from any of our destinations. The waterside outdoor area was great for watching the sunrise over Haleakala. The condo was clean and had everything we needed (beach chairs, coolers, umbrella etc). Would definitely consider booking again on our next trip to Maui!

The overall appearance of the condo and property was amazing. Everyday there is someone who went around and kept the grounds beautiful and ready to enjoy. Sitting out on the patio makes it difficult to want to leave to explore Maui. This property was one of the best VRBO I have ever stayed at. Wonderful stay.... didn't want to leave.

This is a beautiful well maintained condo. Everything you need to have a perfect Hawaiian vacation. The view is amazing with wonderful ocean sounds to help you relax. When we arrived we couldn’t figure out the TV and the owner at Tradewinds came over to help us. Everyone is so friendly. Can’t say enough about Jena the owner. She is responsive to our communication and wants to make sure her guests are having a fabulous vacation. Don’t miss this incredible condo!

We booked somewhat of a spur of the moment trip to Maui because we found an amazing price on flights! We were looking for a location that was affordable, convenient location, but still had quality amenities. This condo really exceeded expectations, the views were stunning, we (unintentionally) woke up pretty early every morning, made breakfast in the fully stocked kitchen and watched the sunrise on the patio. It was a great way to start the day. From the condo you could walk to the Harbor and Maui Harbor shops for food, ice cream, or shopping for souvenirs. There is also a little mini putt course within walking distance as well as the aquarium. We didn't get to do the road to Hana this trip, but visited the winery, distillery, and surfing goat farm which were all fairly close to the condo (all very close together if you make a day trip out of those places). We saw turtles just behind the condo, and we loved Sugar Beach. You just walk to the end of the road for the public access, we didn't have to walk far down the beach to feel like we had our own private oasis, not crowded with tourists at all. There were plenty of bath and beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, even some snorkel gear and a small cooler available to use. We appreciated having access to the TV package in the condo to watch our team's college football game in the morning. There are several hikes nearby and everything the island has to offer really is only a short drive away from this location. Check out The Mill House restaurant (happy hour is a great deal), the grounds are beautiful (you can do a tour here as well) and food was great and it was only about 15 minutes away from the condo. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Everything was clear, communication was great, and we felt very comfortable here. If you're looking for a quiet area of Maui with beautiful views and easy access to the island this would be a great option for you!

My husband and I both loved this condo, its grounds, bbq's and loungers! This location was perfect for us. Watching the boats from the nearby harbor come and go, viewing the planes overhead, and seeing the local fishermen pulling in lots of fish was very entertaining. We loved the views from the lanai!! We miss it already!! The condo really has everything you need. We brought a few spices from home and a few insulated beverage containers which came in handy. The queen sized bed was very comfortable! The shower had awesome water pressure! The kitchen was perfect! We loved using the bbq's - thanks to Guy who cleaned them every morning!! We had a bit of a scare when our sliding door locked behind us...we had to get another guest to come in through our main door to come and unlock the sliding door. After we were rescued... I put some tape on the locking mechanism so the latch wouldn't accidentally move up. The new owner told us that she'll get that fixed...she was shocked that this happened and tried her very best to get this issue resolved quickly. Our daily walks to Haycraft Park were amazing. We also enjoyed walking to the nearby shops close to the harbour. This quiet condo complex was the perfect vacation for us!! We look forward to returning!! Thank you Jenna for letting us stay at your beautiful condo!!

The condo was fully stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our week on Maui. The views are unbelievable and the location was just what we were looking for. It's on a quiet street but a short drive to pretty much anywhere.
