Really enjoyed our stay here. Perfect home base to see all the Kona coast highlights, and the ‘private’ sunsets’ from deck were absolutely spectacular. Highly recommended all around!

The views are incredible!!! The pools, the location, did I mention the views?! The wraparound lanai is everything and you will be left wanting nothing. Check in was easy and the condo was very comfortable. We can’t wait to come back.

We loved our stay here! This condo has the best location of the entire complex--right in front of the beach with good shade overhead. Beautiful views and a huge lanai to enjoy. The complex is quiet and never seemed crowded. We appreciated that the entire complex is non-smoking. The 2 pools were heated & enjoyable. There is a free Kona Shuttle that stops right outside the complex, but be warned that it isn't reliable. It was often 15 minutes early or 30 minutes late.
We used the coin laundry (located under the main reception area) once. Bring quarters or you can download the app (signs are next to the machines). It cost $3.25 to wash and dry a load. Bring your own laundry soap as it is not provided. Also be sure to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Dish soap is provided.
The cooling system in the condo worked well. We don't like things super cold, so we kept the temp around 76. We also appreciated the ceiling fans throughout the condo.
The beds, pillows, and furniture were comfortable. We appreciated the new sponge in the kitchen, too.
We rated this 4 stars instead of 5 because we were given the wrong code upon check-in so we had to wait (after a long day of travel) to enter into the complex, there was no informational binder/documents about the condo/area/etc (so helpful when visiting a new place), and the ceiling fans & air vents need cleaning. That being said, we would stay here every time. It's absolutely wonderful!

This unit has views that don't stop! With large patio door/windows on 2 sides, along with Lani on 2 sides there are endless views of the ocean and gorgeous sunsets! One can spend the day watching fishing charters and parasailers from the comfortable breezes on the Lani. Comfortably furnished as well. The unit does need some maintenance work. The salt spray from being so close to the water has corroded the slide and or wheels on the patio door facing the ocean making it very difficult to open and close. In general the doors and windows may need new seals as we experienced a large amount of fruit flies inside the unit. It is a tropical location and we realize insects come with that. However, this was our sixth trip to the Big Island and have stayed in other Kona locations and have not had the tiny flies inside as we did here. It did not ruin our stay, but was annoying, especially at night. A little maintenance would make this one of the best locations in Kona to stay! Even without it is still pretty nice!

It's spacious and was so nice we decided to stay an entire day enjoying the amenities on the property versus loading everything up and heading to the beach. Will be back next time we're in Kona. As stated by the owner, this unit is clearly in the best location in the complex. Second story, right on the waterfront, maybe 50 feet from the ocean swells breaking on the rocks. Although there is no beach at this location, which is true for most Kona condos, the saltwater pool right by the waterfront was a perfect place to swim. The condo location is also very convenient to town. The kitchen was very well equipt, including all kinds of cooking utensils and spices.
We had a wonderful time, and look forward to coming back in the future.

We have stayed in various units in this complex
over the years and it is timeless. This condo is nicely appointed providing everything one could need for a vacation. The only downside is that there is no in-unit laundry facilities as many others have. The complex laundry room was available but none of the dryers were working. Onsite complex manager was not overly concerned!
For a very relaxing time in Hawaii we highly recommend this complex especially any of the 6 end units next to the water. The large L shaped Lanai provides great views and plenty of space too be "alone". The grounds are beautiful and of course the large round seaside saltwater pool is a real treat.

Location and the views were amazing! Absolutely going to return in our next visit. The bathroom in the master bedroom was nice after renovation compare to the second bathroom. We did have breakfast and dinner by the balcony with the amazing ocean view and sunset! Jill was also amazing and responded quickly when we had an issue with the locks.

The oceanfront condo was fantastic. The deck overlooked the crashing waves. The condo was clean. There were a lot of cooking accessories and appliances. It was an easy trip to town and many restaurants.

If you are looking for a condo in Kona, this is THE one! Not only is Casa de Emdeko the nicest waterfront complex we have stayed at (our 3rd one in the Kona area) this 2nd floor condo at the end of the "U" has a stunning waterfront view. Coffee on the deck each morning was accompanied by dolphins passing by (May.) We were a family group of 11 staying in three condos. This condo was our "base" and perfect for gathering on the large two-sided deck. The kitchen was not the largest (however still worked for lots of cooking) but that left room for the large dining and living areas. The huge deck was perfect for watching the sunset together. Many spices and condiments were available in the kitchen cupboards. Also available were two small coolers, a chair and umbrella.
The condo was clean and inviting. (note: one might think a first floor end cap condo would be good but that one has a solid waist high privacy wall and the 3rd floor only has a 3 foot overhang with little shade.)
The master bath in this condo has a nice deep shower.
Casa de Emdeko has lovely grounds (the plumeria tree next to our deck was in full bloom) and both a salt and fresh water pool. Well maintained grass grills are available and a large cabana area is next to them. Check out all the photos on the listing.
How do you rate the owner if something comes up which needs fixing or attention? Due to no lack of maintenance of her part, we did have an air conditioning issue on a system which connects to the main complex. This happened on a Friday night. Amazingly, the owner responded within 15 minutes of my call! The issue was fixed much sooner than it would have been at home. Fortunately, having a two sided deck allowed us to fully enjoy the ocean breezes. If I could give the owner Jill six or even 10 stars, I would. Thank you Jill!

This is truly an amazing location. Within a walk to rentable bicycles, surf beaches, and a cafe called The Green Flash that has great smoothies. The condo had comfortable beds in both rooms and was easy to have our toddler there…lots of beach toys and pack n’ play. Pictures say the rest.

We've stayed here before, but not in this unit. This unit will be our go to when coming back. We've met local residents and got to see them again and this spot is perfect for our toddler. The unit has lots of space and the views are just amazing. Will be rebooting again in the future!

What a condo! Fully stocked with kitchen supplies, condiments, guide book, beautiful coffee table books all about Hawaii, boogie boards and beach towels, comfortable beds and ceiling fans. But the lanai! We spent much of our time enjoying the amazing view of the ocean and coastline, one floor above the little sandy lounge area, watching the sun set most evenings to a musical conch shell farewell. We had a marvelous stay and would not hesitate to stay there again.

After a slight glitch in receiving the wrong gate code from Home Away, we got in to the property. The owner had provided us with the proper code, but we got a “new code” from Home Away, which in fact, was the old code.
The large wraparound balcony over the ocean was incredible. We spent 12 days listening to and loving the sound of the surf. The view is really quite breathtaking. We would HIGHLY recommend this property.

This was an awesome place to stay. It was clean and spacious and had the best view ever. Super amenities, 2 swimming pools (one salt water), morning yoga class on the beach, evening conk ceremony at sunset, on site parking. Very friendly and helpful neighbors.
