The resort was great and right on the beach. The condo was nice and comfortable. It was a great location to stores & restaurants. But the condo did smell like stale cigarette smoke which was surprising since it is a smoke free resort. The bathtub had long hairs in it and didn’t look like it was cleaned recently.

Our family of 5 really enjoyed this condo! Pros: Super clean! The property is gorgeous and the pool and hot tub are great! The rooms are all very spacious. Things to improve: it would’ve been nice if the condo had some basics like beach chairs, boogie boards, cooler, etc. There was nothing in the condo whereas in other condos people in our party stayed provided such items.Just to note: The complex is on a gorgeous beach, but the ocean is rough and not safe to swim in winter. However a 4 min drive takes you to Lydgate State Park which is awesome!!Overall this is a 5/5 property and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back in the future!

The condo and property had nice amenities including pool and restaurant. Located close to Safeway and Big Save markets. Staff was friendly and the condo unit was clean and nicely equipped. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again. The Wailua Drive-In is a must!

Sunrise from the beach area was stunning, the pools and grounds were all well kept. The room was spacious and well appointed. The pool area is huge, very nice!

Our small condo had most everything that we needed for our stay. It was exceptionally roomy for the two of use. The property is centrally located on Kauai so that we had relatively easy access to everything that we wanted to do. An added perk was that was just across the street from a shopping center (including a Safeway) so that the only time we needed a car was for our day trips. Would absolutely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time staying at this condo/resort. The location of this condo is centrally located for all activities on the north and south shore of Kauai. The amenities from the large pool to excellent beach was great to have just steps from our condo.

The unit is large and comes with beach chairs, boogie board, towels, and kitchen supplies. The property is located across the street from a grocery store, Starbucks, Subway, Ross, souvenir shop, and dessert shops. The pool is a little smaller than it looks in the pictures but is clean and warm. The beach in front of the resort is not swimmable but there are many nice beaches within a 20 minute drive. The only downside to my stay is that the unit smelled musty and everything was damp and stayed damp (even with the a/c on). Kauai is very humid so that's probably the issue. I think the unit could use a dehumidifier.

There was an unpleasant odor in the room. I poured a small amount of Clorox down each drain every 3 days. We also used an electric air freshener by Febreze. It seemed to work. Odor seemed to come from drain. The odar smelled musty.

The Waipouli Resort was gorgeous! The pool is incredible and is fun for kids and adults. The fitness center is nice and has good equipment. All the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Location is the best, across the street from Safeway to get groceries to cook in your kitchen. Our pullout bed was broken, but they included an air matress so all was ok. Overall a good stay!

This was the perfect base for exploring all of Kauai. Great location and a great resort. We didn’t use the pool as much as I would have liked but that’s because we were always out exploring the island! Only reason we didn’t give 5* on everything were some minor cleanliness issues in the unit but they were quickly rectified to our satisfaction. Great communication from the property manager on that. Oasis restaurant on the property was excellent. Shave ice across the street was to die for. Also super convenient to grocery/clothes shopping.

The location allowed us to explore all around beautiful Kauai. The pool is perfect for kids, and the oceanfront property is gorgeous.

Convenient location. Unit was spacious. Kitchen had adequate cookware, dishes and appliances. High end major appliances were a plus. The layout of the unit itself was very good. The bed and bedding was not the best. Hard mattress and pillows could use replacement. The A/C system was poor. Very humid and musty smell in unit with A/C running. It has some control for energy saving, so you really could not control the temperature. For the price you pay, you should be able to control your temperature. The plug in air freshener they had did not hide this problem. I messaged the host regarding this but did not get a reply as of yet. No pool services, restaurant near pool opens at 3:00pm. Beach is somewhat rocky. We came from Poipu which is Cadillac of beaches. Check in and out was very good...we checked out two days early due to smell.

We were very satisfied with the property. Everything was as advertised and in good condition. I made a phone call to Candace upon checkin and she IMMEDIATELY responded, thank you! The pool and grounds were expectional and the beach (sand) were steps away!

The resort is nice however this unit needs some love and attention. It was smelly and uncomfortable compared to others we have rented. Also we were asked without notice by pest inspectors to enter the unit. The next day we observed removal of mattresses. I have bites...so much stress over bed bugs now. Hope you have it inspected.

The Waipouli Beach Resort is a great choice for Kauai! Clean, beautifully furnished condo with full kitchen! The resort is right on the beach, pool, gym, restaurant, rentals all on site. Best shave ice on the island and Safeway right across the street. Just south of Kapa’a and central to all points on the island. Close to airport, 6 miles away. Traffic on Kuhio Hwy can be tough so leave plenty of time to get to your destination. Owners were great about anticipating our needs and no need to contact them other than asking for a late check out when our flight out changed. They were responsive and we were able to stay until 8:30pn for a reasonable fee. My second time here and I’ll be back! Great bargain for a great place to stay on the island! Family friendly and best bang for your buck!

Our family really enjoyed our stay.
The location was ideal close to shopping centers and everything you would need including restaurants.
Everything was provided in our condo.
The beach was beautiful however our kids needed water socks to get in due to rocks and coral. The pool was perfect for our family and kids really enjoyed it.
We would definitely love to come back and stay at this ideal property.

This was a good location to explore the whole island. Convenient to grocery shopping and dining as well. The pool is nice but the beach isn’t the best. We found that driving to multiple beaches would have been the way to go regardless though so it wasn’t a big deal.
